Observe, Orient, Decide, Act |
Imprimis is the "free monthly digest of Hillsdale College and is dedicated to educating citizens", and just ran this piece, New Thinking Needed on National Defense, pointing out the very real inadequacies in America's military. And they're big. I think this is a good piece as it hits on all the basics.
I never liked Trump as a person, although I'm finding him far more acceptable as I watch his reactions to events now. I think the assassination attempts changed him. I also think it made him all the more determined to get things done, and he's my age, 78, and realizes time isn't on his side.
I have to say his willingness to stand and deliver against all these attacks by a corrupt legal system has totally impressed me, heterodoxy isn't for the faint of heart, it takes guts and the willingness to be virulently hated by your enemies, and still push forward against their slings and arrows. He has nothing to gain by being President, except to save the nation. He clearly understood their efforts to destroy him wasn't about him, it was to be a lesson to anyone in the future who dared stand up to the vile leftist cabal that's trying to destroy the nation.
So, as a leader, he's been amazing, and I don't think I fully realized how smart he is. I'm convinced he saw his tariffs to be a solution to a great many issues, on a great many levels, including this one discussed in the Imprimis article. He clearly understood these tariffs would drive companies back to America, factories will be built, supply chains will be altered and shortened, and the economic reality that the world's economy is the American economy is setting in with these chest pounding nitwits.
Did he see all the details? No! No one could, but he sees the basics, it's a kind of "if you build it, they will come" attitude. As AT&T used to say, "The system is the solution", so he put the right tools in place so the system could fix itself.
Over 130 nations are now scrambling to the White House looking for deals, with many foreign companies pledging trillions to build factories here in America in order to avoid tariffs. Imagine that. But the chair bound generals and admirals who make the decisions over purchases need to be purged, and that's always been the case. See my Col. John Boyd article. Boyd was a bona fide military genius, and if there ever was anyone who applied Boyd's OODA principle, Observe, Orient Decide, and Act, it's Trump.
AOC says America wasn't meant to last, and so we must assume she's wanting to be President in order to make that happen? But, the Democratic party just might save America yet:
..........by their own stupidity. They have demonstrated that they have learned absolutely nothing from the 2024 election, and that might end up being the salvation of the country—if they continue along that line, and with talk of AOC and Jasmine Crockett being their future “leadership,” things do indeed look somewhat brighter for the nation. The Democrats are apparently intending not to learn anything, but to become even more stupid...........And since then, it appears the Democrats have learned nothing from their defeat. They continue doing unbelievably stupid things that turn off masses of American people. Just a few examples:........Keep it up, Democrats. You might save the country you despise yet.
Andrea Widburg published this piece, The new conservatives, discussing one of the most important factors, and least discussed, in any society. Demographics! She discussed how the next generation of voters is actually very conservative, and I think she may be on to something. I’ve read where a young generation, and I don’t remember the alphabetic designation they’ve attached to them, is the most conservative generation in years, and that they’re more religious.

I don’t know if that’s true or not, but historically generational changes can result for a host of reasons, but a lack of security as a result of failing to perform is foundation for such changes. Since the Pravda media is toast, they’re seeking out answers from other sources, but the idea they're getting their information from podcasts bothers me since there’s no time to lay foundation, and that’s the secret to understanding. Reading, especially books, allows for reflection and is the foundation for understanding.
We’re living through serious times with totally unserious people at the helm: They’re in the White House, Buckingham Palace (although mercifully merely symbolic there), and throughout the media. The old-time TV newsmen all leaned left, but they at least had the appearance of gravitas. This current crop is drawn from the back of the classroom and the bottom of the heap. They are ridiculous, ignorant people who risibly believe that they have both wisdom and knowledge. - Andrea Widburg
As DOGE is exposing the seditious corruption of the administrative state conservatives are shocked to find it’s far worse than they thought. Also, I think all this is clearly exposing the dangers a corrupt judiciary presents to the nation, and I believe there will be a fix for this judicial overreach in the near future. I’ve tried my best to track these rogue judges and the issues involved as a source article. For those interested here’s My Judiciary Gazette, which I keep updating the information regarding the judges, and the list is substantial.
