Women in Combat

By Rich Kozlovich

I recently posted a piece about how the left is "outraged" at national security leaks and are demanding Hegseth resign.  I also pointed out that's not what really upsets them.  What really upsets them is he's dismantling all the social engineering schemes the Democrats have been imposing on the military over the years.

How did anyone ever get the idea the military was a social experiment?   Until recent decades even the Democrats were under the impression the military was supposed to be hard and tough, and it was their job to blow up a lot of stuff and kill bad guys, and the military needed hard tough men to do it.  But the left contaminates, corrupts, and destroys everything it touches.

Let's go back some years and take a look at one DEI insanity, women in combat.  On December 4, 2015 Dale Hill posted this article, On women in combat, let the other shoe drop, noting is was Obama appointee Secretary of Defense Ash Carter who opened all combat roles to women.

One of the constant themes by the left is Hegseth isn't qualified to be Secretary of Defense, and touted by people who are totally unqualified to judge, such as Sen. Mark Kelly, Senator Mazie Hirono, Tim Kaine, Gillibrand, Pocahontas Warren, and the one I really liked best was stolen valor Senator Blumenthal who claims Pete is so unqualified,’ it’s almost a ‘joke’, completely humiliating themselves.   Then of course there was the most "qualified" critic of Hegseth of all, that domestic/foreign policy genius, Whoopie Goldberg, who is absolute sure Hegseth "clearly knows nothing about the military".

A man who earned the "Bronze Star.[he's authorized] to wear the Joint Service Commendation Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, three Army Reserve Components Achievement Medals, the National Defense Service Medal with a Bronze Service Star, an Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two campaign stars, an Iraq Campaign Medal with two campaign stars, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” Device, the Army Service Ribbon, two Overseas Service Ribbons, the D.C. National Guard Emergency Service Ribbon, a NATO Medal, a Joint Meritorious Unit Award, a Combat Infantryman Badge, and an Expert Infantryman Badge is unqualified and knows nothing about the military, but every leftist seemed to think Obamaton Carter Ash, who was destroying the foundational principles of the military was qualified to be SecDef.  Imagine that.

Well, lets take a look at women in combat.  In 2013 now passed Walter E. Williams, posted this piece, Fact-based reality about women in combat saying:

A senior Defense Department official said the ban on women in combat should be lifted because the military’s goal is “to provide a level, gender-neutral playing field.” I’d like to think the goal of the military should be to have the toughest, meanest fighting force possible. But let’s look at “gender-neutral playing field.”

He goes on to show that with stunningly few exceptions women simply don't have the same physical capabilities of men, and can't pass the same physical requirements the men must meet, and it's genetic, men and women are not the same.

Women suffer injuries at a much greater rate than men, they can't march the same distance as men, and if they're injured and exhausted they represent a significant danger to the men, since in no way will they be left behind.  They're under strong, and they're three to four time less deployable compared to men.  And based on natural differences between men and women, the men are ten times more aggressive than women, an important quality in combat.

Providing "a level, gender-neutral playing field" isn't what the military is supposed to do.  Hegseth is dismantling all this DEI nonsense, and doing so by firing a lot of top brass that embrace it.

  • Women and the ‘therapeutic military’ - The left has been outraged about women being busted from their command, but women personalizing the military is a serious problem. .......Democrats have been outraged that the new Hegseth-run military removed two women from their commands, one for refusing to put up pictures of the new President and Defense Secretary and the other for publicly disagreeing with administration policy. Both, of course, open violations of the chain of command and perfectly legitimate reasons to remove or demote a person.............

Trump has not only fired the chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, he's dumped the Chief of Naval Operations and Air Force vice chief.  The purification of America's military has begun, Hegseth is imposing a hiring freeze,  and laying off a lot of people at the Pentagon, and the CIA is heading for the largest firing in fifty years.  That's what they're really upset about.
