The day Carmen Best announced she would be stepping down as Seattle police chief, Victoria Beach talked to a real-estate agent. Beach, chair of the Seattle Police Department’s African American Community Advisory Council, grew up in Seattle and has lived 40 years on the same block in the Central District. Now, she said, she’s ready to leave.
“I don’t want to be a part of this city.”
Like many Black Seattleites, Beach is livid about how the city treated its first Black police chief, who said she was not consulted as the City Council cut the police department budget, including Best’s salary. Beach also believes the chief was hamstrung in her handling of the former occupied zone known as CHOP or CHAZ by a mayor who was calling the shots. “It’s a new way of racism,” Beach said of city officials. My Take - First of all, this isn't a new form of racism. If this police chief had been white, Hispanic or Asian, they would have been treated just as contemptuously. Secondly, here's a picture of the Seattle City Council. What a pathetic bunch of snowflake losers. And who's to blame for these people being there? People like Beach who see everything through a, "everything is racist", lens. I'm willing to bet Beach voted for them. Now she, and all her fellow Woke Seattleites are getting what they deserve.
They're losing a good Chief of Police and gaining a city that if they recover it will take decades, and in the meanwhile Seattle will be filled with violent thugs and losers. Good Luck Seattle, you're going to need it, now that your tax base is being destroyed, and if it ever comes back, it will take decades.
One more thing. If you think your going to find a legitimate Law and Order replacement as Chief of Police: Just keep dreaming your stupid leftist utopian fantasy.
