New Peter Strzok Texts Undermine Official Narrative on Start of ‘Russia Collusion’ Investigation

Newly-released texts from former FBI agent Peter Strzok suggest that the Obama administration's investigation of then-candidate Donald Trump for supposed "Russia collusion" began earlier than the official government narrative has acknowledged.

By Joel B. Pollak888

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), who chairs the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, released new texts on Thursday from Strzok. One text, dated July 28, 2016, refers to “[o]ur open C[counter-]I[ntelligence] investigations relating to Trump’s Russian connections.”

As the report notes, that was the date the FBI was tipped off by Australian diplomat Alexander Downer about a conversation in a bar with Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos, who had suggested that Russia might have Hillary Clinton’s missing emails. (Clinton and her aides had deleted tens of thousands of emails from her time as Secretary of State, which she had housed on an illicit private server at her home. Then-FBI Director James Comey recommended against her prosecution.)

A Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General report in December 2019 claimed that the FBI opened its investigation into the Trump campaign, known as Operation Crossfire Hurricane, on July 31, 2016, three days after receiving the Downey tip.

But the Strzok text, written to FBI lawyer Lisa Page — with whom he had an affair — suggests that the FBI already had open “investigations,” plural, on supposed connections between Trump and Russia, none of which ever turned up any evidence..........To Read More.....

Liz Cheney says Strzok-Page texts 'whole lot like a coup ... could well be treason'

May 27, 2019 By Thomas Lifson

As A.G. Barr and U.S. attorneys Durham and Huber investigate possible crimes committed by FBI and DOJ officials related to the 2016 election, Rep. Liz Cheney has joined President Trump in mentioning the T-word: treason. She did so on ABC Television's This Week program, speaking to a very unhappy-looking Martha Raddatz, who appeared to cry on air reporting Donald Trump's apparent victory Election Night 2016 (Raddatz disputes this).

ABC News found it newsworthy enough to tweet out video of those remarks, part of a longer interview (complete video here):............. Read more

The Dossier: Rogue FBI recruited Trump-Russia sources inside the White House?

Jordan Schachtel April 26, 2019

Senior Republican senators sent a letter Thursday to the Department of Justice disclosing new texts between former FBI official Peter Strzok and his mistress, former FBI attorney Lisa Page, in which the couple appeared to be plotting to recruit secret sources from inside the White House.

The letter, from Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Charles Grassley and Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson, revealed: “We have reviewed certain text messages that may show potential attempts by the FBI to conduct surveillance of President-elect Trump’s transition team.”

The letter continues: “In text messages exchanged between former FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok and former FBI Attorney Lisa Page, the two discussed the possibility of developing ‘potential relationships’ at a November 2016 FBI briefing for presidential transition team staff. Specifically, it appears they discussed sending ‘the CI guy’ to assess an unnamed person(s) ‘demeanor’ but were concerned because it might be unusual for him to attend.”

Journalist Sara Carter  reports that the wife of Vice President Mike Pence’s former chief of staff, who was serving as an FBI analyst under Strzok, was seen as integral to these efforts.

The texts show that Strzok and Page were targeting Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who was then incoming national security adviser. Flynn was later removed from his post at the request of VP Pence.

It remains unclear how much direct contact Vice President Pence had with the FBI officials who sought to undermine and depose Flynn. However, as Catherine Herridge at Fox News pointed out, it appears that former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, using Strzok’s information, did in fact brief Pence prior to his decision to publicly take responsibility for Flynn’s ouster.

Pence has not spoken about the Flynn firing since he claimed that Gen. Flynn “lied” to him about contacts with the Russian government.

What did VP Pence know and when did he know it.

John Solomon over at The Hill published a bombshell piece late Thursday discussing how the Obama administration leveraged the government of Ukraine to spice up the bogus Trump-Russia collusion narrative.........To Read More.....

The FBI Manufactured '302s' before Mueller

Jack Cashill

The FBI calls its report of a given interview a “302.” This Luddite insistence on a written summary in the age of easy voice recording opens the door to all manner of misinterpretation.

In the case of the 302 that recreated the initial interview with Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn in January 2017, that misinterpretation may not be innocent. To have any value, a 302 must be prepared within five days of the actual interview. That is FBI protocol as well. Last week, when Judge Emmett Sullivan ordered the Robert Mueller legal team to turn over the 302 for the Flynn interview, however, Mueller produced a 302 prepared seven months after the interview.

As Sidney Powell observes in the Daily Caller, there is ample evidence in the infamous Lisa Page-Peter Strzok texts and in the most recent Mueller filing that the FBI had prepared a 302 in a timely fashion. Strzok, in fact, conducted the original interview. That original 302 apparently has been lost or destroyed. ...........  To Read More

Now we know what Strzok meant in that 'insurance policy' text to Page

By Mark WauckOctober 12, 2018

It turns out that John Podesta didn't just pull the Russia Hoax out of thin air right after the election.  It was a key part of a contingency plan that was already in place. When Podesta spoke, he was in effect saying: "Alright, it's time to implement the contingency plan, with some modification, because Hillary lost."

Finally, we know what Peter Strzok meant when he texted his paramour Lisa Page on August 16, 2016, about an "insurance policy" in case Trump got elected:.........Strzok's got some explaining to do. If he lied under oath, he can be pressured to reveal the conspiracy and conspirators. And note: this was a bipartisan plan, and it was hatched by "senior staff in the Obama White House." ............Read more

The Russia Hoax As Contingency Plan

Remember, back in August, 2016, when Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were obsessively texting one another? One exchange went something like, well, exactlylike;this:
"[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!" Page texted Strzok.
"No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it," Strzok responded.
Fast forward a couple of years and here we are in October, 2018, just about two years after Trump's electoral triumph, and for reasons best known to themselves Ben Rhodes and Jen Psaki have decided to reveal to New York Magazine that the Russia Hoax was a key part of the Obama Administration's -- and presumably the Clinton campaign's -- contingency plan to, well, steal an election: Obama Had a Secret Plan in Case Trump Rejected 2016 Election Results. We're all adults -- right? -- so there's no need to quibble over the meaning of words like "results." Here's what Rhodes and Psaki are saying:................

Joe DiGenova: Latest Strzok-Page texts reveal criminal and civil liability of many officials – 'they are going down'

By Thomas Lifson September 14, 2018

The former U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, Joe DiGenova, knows what he is talking about when it comes to legal liability, and he has the guts to lay out in straight talk what really happened with the conspiracy to swing a presidential election, cover up the effort, and take out a duly elected president. Last night, on Sean Hannity's show, he explained the fate awaiting not just the Strzok-Page lovebirds, but a range of officials, including James Comey. The five minutes or so, including a bonus comment by David Limbaugh, of the video embedded below offers a very rewarding payoff for your time.........The dirty cop is going to go down.........Read more

My Take - All this started as an attempt to explain why Hillary Clinton was a failed candidate.  The loss couldn't be her fault....right?  So it had to be a Russian conspiracy!  That caused a special counsel to be appointed and virtually everything that came out - at least dealing the the election - pointed to massive corruption by the Democrats.  Now the level of corruption is spreading so wide and so deep, people are finally going to go to jail, and they're all going to be Democrats.  The next batch will be at a much higher level than now and will assuredly include the Clintons, former Attorney General Lynch and I'm sure Obama, and more.

When this all started I said the Democrats may be sorry they started this.  And why did they?  To save face an incredibly stupid, arrogant, self-serving, disloyal and corrupt woman.  Hillary Clinton.  Did they really think making claims about Russian collusion would make Trump's election win illegitimate and put her in the White House?

Yes....it appears they did.

From Comey to Strzok to Mueller

Who will stop those who couldn't stop Trump?

F.H. Buckley June 14, 2018

What’s the take-away from the Inspector-General’s Report about Comey and the FBI? The left is going to spin it as a vindication of their narrative. The New York Times even let Comey write an op-ed claiming the report backs him. That’s hogwash, and it looks as though he wrote the op-ed before he read the report, which called him insubordinate and guilty of serious errors of judgment. What’s clear is that his reputation is in tatters, that he deserved to be fired. In the future, no one will be able to treat him as a responsible authority, not without revealing their own, crippling biases.

As for the FBI, it too has taken a major hit. Senior agents, such as the infamous Peter Strzok, were found to be severely biased against Trump, and the Inspector General’s report found that their biases implied “a willingness to take official action to impact the presidential candidate’s electoral prospects.” For example, the report noted that Strzok may have improperly prioritized the Russia investigation over the Clinton investigation during the final weeks of the campaign.....To Read More...

Sex, Lies, and Betrayal at the FBI

Washington Times June 15, 2018

If Jeff Sessions and Christopher Wray want to clean house at the FBI, they’ll be well advised to pack a good lunch. Cleaning this house will be an all-day job. The agency under James Comey has been more corrupt than we thought.

The long-awaited findings of the inspector general at the Justice Department were finally released Thursday, and it reveals clearly that officials high up in the food chain were out to protect Hillary Clinton by any means necessary.

The inspector general discovered a smoking gun, and, if we are to believe our eyes, couldn’t see clearly whether there was a bullet in it. Peter Strzok, the FBI official who was a major player in the investigation into Mrs. Clinton’s private email server reveals just how the FBI was conducting the investigation.

It is not reassuring reading.

Three months before the election, when it was just beginning to dawn on Washington that Donald Trump might not be the clown that just about everyone in the media was saying he was, Lisa Page, an FBI lawyer and Mr. Strzok’s off-campus lover, was so worried that Mr. Trump might be elected, she couldn’t wait for reassurance in pillow talk. She sent a semi-desperate text message to the lover.

“Trump’s not ever going to become president, right? Right?”

Mr. Strzok replied: “No. No, he’s not. We’ll stop it.”..........To Read More.....

Comey, Clinton, McCabe and Lynch Officially Referred For Criminal Investigation

Apr 18, 2018 Katie Pavlich

Eleven House Republicans have sent a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director Christopher Wray officially referring Hillary Clinton, fired FBI Director James Comey, fired Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe and former Attorney General Loretta Lynch for criminal investigation.

FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, who were caught sending hundreds of anti-Trump text messages during the Clinton investigation, have also been referred for criminal investigation. U.S. Attorney John Huber, who was tapped by Sessions a few weeks ago to investigate the FBI's handling of the Clinton email probe, was copied on the request.

“Because we believe that those in positions of high authority should be treated the same as every other American, we want to be sure that the potential violations of law outlined below are vetted appropriately,” lawmakers wrote..........To Read More.....

My Take - Make sure to watch the video.  Make no mistake about this - these clowns are all going to start selling each other down the river to save themselves.  But remember - there's no such thing as a conspiracy unless it's a vast right wing conspiracy.

Did Peter Strzok Present the Steele Dossier to the FISA Court?. Melissa Mackenzie December 8, 2017 - A couple of questions regarding FBI super agent Peter Strzok:
  1. Did Peter Strzok receive the Steele Dossier from Hillary Clinton on July 4th when he interviewed her?
  2. If Hillary didn’t give Strzok the dossier, who did?
  3. Did Peter Strzok put together the FISA Court material, which included the Steele Dossier?
  4. Did Peter Strzok go to the FISA Court and ask for the surveillance of the Trump team based on the Steele Dossier?
  5. Did James Comey assign Peter Strzok to the Clinton email case?
  6. Did James Comey assign Peter Strzok to the Trump surveillance case?
  7. Did James Comey know that Peter Strzok was compromised when he sent him to interview Michael Flynn (where surveillance was used to interview him based on the Steele Dossier that was presented to the FISA Court that Strzok put together?)

Enough: FBI and Justice Department Corruption Needs to End

Given the latest revelations, it’s time for a major change in course.

Scott McKay December 5, 2017

Last week nobody knew who Peter Strzok was. He’s certainly not anonymous anymore.  Very quietly this summer, Strzok was reassigned from Trump-Russia collusion probe special counsel Robert Mueller’s team after it was discovered that he’d sent anti-Trump text messages to a woman with whom he was having extramarital sexual congress (who also was a member of that team). That information didn’t reach the public eye until this weekend, and developments since offer a pretty damn good explanation why.

Peter Strzok is everything, as it turns out. Strzok looks like the man at the center of what can best be described as the complete collapse of the FBI and Justice Department’s trustworthiness and credibility, a collapse which is triggering a crisis in the public confidence in the federal government as an institution we consent to have power over us.

Strzok didn’t just serve as an investigator on the Trump-collusion probe, which has degenerated into, as Andrew McCarthy ably laid out at National Review on Monday, an “obstruction investigation” — for the unwashed among us that means it’s essentially a bug hunt for as many Scooter Libbys as Mueller and his team can smoke out. Oh, no. Strzok was involved in the Hillary Clinton email investigation. Heavily involved, in fact — so much so that it’s said it was Strzok who changed the language in then-FBI director James Comey’s exoneration speech to reflect “extreme carelessness” rather than “gross negligence” to describe Clinton’s behavior in running her government emails through that illegal bathroom closet server..............

To summarize, the Mueller probe is rotten to the core. It’s been nearly a full year in existence and is no closer to finding evidence that Trump colluded with the Russians than he was when he started, and to date all he’s managed is a pair of guilty pleas based purely out of conduct during the investigation, with Flynn’s the most significant.............Trump should also fire assistant Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and assistant FBI director Andrew McCabe, both of whom are hopelessly compromised as well, and conduct a top-down review of FBI and DOJ personnel to rid those agencies of the partisan political corruption that clearly pervades them.............To Read More....
