Will the RNC Convention Be Safe For Republicans?

The Republican National Convention is being held at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. Former RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel picked this city and that alone should tell you all you need to know about this disastrous choice. While Democrats selected a welcoming Democrat city, McDaniel did the opposite. Is anyone surprised?

Prior to 1998, security at the conventions was in the hands of the city hosting the event, now the Secret Service has the responsibility for protecting political conventions. In 1998, President Bill Clinton formalized this in the “National Special Security Events” directive that designated the Secret Service would lead the security planning.

Currently, the Secret Service has designated Pere Marquette Park in Milwaukee for protests. However, the RNC has informed the Secret Service that since the park is one-quarter mile from the convention venue, many attendees will have to walk or drive past the park — what could be a violent location. That would be very dangerous for Republican convention attendees.

Over in Chicago, where Democrats hold their convention in August, safety appears to be a primary concern for convention attendees. Protest groups want to set up their events in Union Park, which is just a few blocks from the United Center where the convention will be held. The City of Chicago rejected that permit request. Instead, protest groups are being told they can organize at the south end of Grant Park, which is four miles away. The protest groups are complaining that they will be in a different part of town and their influence will be greatly diminished.

Let’s see if there is equal concern for Republican convention attendees. The RNC’s legal department has written to the Secret Service asking that another park further away be used for protestors. Since this is the same Secret Service that refuses to give Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. protection, we are not confident they care about Republicans put in harm’s way getting to or from the venue.

No, the Republicans Did Not Violate The Hatch Act

But based on original intent of the law, and the evolution of the law through amendments, the reality is that no, the Republican Party did not violate the Hatch Act

By —— Bio and Archives--August 27, 2020

During the Republican National Convention the internet exploded with accusations and articles regarding the Hatch Act.  Well known liberal left websites like The Huffington Post, and media outlets like the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and New York Times, jumped on the bandwagon.  The Party of hatred and false accusations was at it again.  The Democrats, however, this time figured they had something on the GOP that could finally stick.

Except, it doesn’t.................Could some of the Republican National Convention, considering that much of it was at the White House, if you are a nit-picker, be riding the line between violation and non-violation?  I suppose if you really wanted to pick it apart, you could say that.  But based on original intent of the law, and the evolution of the law through amendments, the reality is that no, the Republican Party did not violate the Hatch Act..............To Read More....

The Democrats Attack the Country; the Republicans Attack the Democrats

August 27, 2020 By David Keltz

Last week, we watched as Joe Biden and his increasingly radical party outlined their dark perception of the country. They offered few policies and no solutions.  Their message boiled down to America is evil and rotten to the core, and Trump is a fascist who represents an existential “threat to our democracy.”  The Democrats also called Trump a racist, accused him of culpability for every single COVID-19 death in the country, and for the economic contraction that has led to a 10 percent unemployment rate.  As if the well-documented failures of the Postal Service over the last several decades have not already undermined it enough, Hillary Clinton blamed Trump for supposedly trying to sabotage it in an attempt to “steal an election.”

At this week's RNC, the Republicans have not only focused far more on matters of substance and policy, but they have offered a vision of the country that promotes freedom, liberty, religion, faith, exceptionalism, innovation, entrepreneurship, and the American Dream. They have acknowledged that we are not without flaws, but unlike the Democrats, the Republicans are not calling for the expulsion of our history. As Donald Trump Jr. said, “In order to improve in the future, we must learn from our past, not erase it. So we’re not going to tear down monuments and forget the people who built our great nation. Instead, we will learn from our past so we don’t repeat any mistakes and we will work tirelessly to improve the lives of all Americans.”...........To Read More....

First lady Melania Trump offers sympathy and calls for unity in RNC speech: 'I urge people to come together in a civil manner'

She addressed COVID-19, immigration, and civil unrest in Rose Garden speech

News

First lady Melania Trump delivered a speech to the Republican National Convention calling for all Americans to come together in addressing the issues faced by the nation, while making her case for re-electing her husband, President Donald Trump. What are the details?

Following her introduction, Mrs. Trump began, "I want to acknowledge the fact that since March, our lives have changed drastically. The invisible enemy, COVID-19, swept across our beautiful country and impacted all of us. My deepest sympathy goes out to everyone that has lost a loved one, and my prayers are with those that are ill or suffering.

"I know many people are anxious and some feel helpless. I want you to know you're not alone," she continued. "My husband's administration will not stop fighting until there is an effective treatment or vaccine available to everyone. Donald will not rest until he has done all he can to take care of everyone impacted by this terrible pandemic.".............To Read More....

The Democrats’ Latest Religious Test

Editorial of The New York Sun | August 26, 2020

No sooner did President Trump air at the Republican convention Secretary of State Pompeo’s endorsement video recorded in Jerusalem than the Biden camp is unleashing a new objection — that the secretary is too religious to represent all of the American people. We kid you not. This has got to be the most desperate, offensive, and unconstitutional claim against a state secretary that the Democrats have ever aired.

It comes from one of Mr. Biden’s closest consiglieres, Susan Rice. She was President Obama’s National Security Adviser and, before that, envoy at the United Nations. Vice President Biden had her on his short list for his running mate. She just gave an interview to MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow in which she asserted that “Mike Pompeo has been an overtly religious secretary or state, which in and of itself is problematic.”.......To Read More....

My Take - Does anyone really care what either of these blithering idiots have to say?As for Susan Rice, perhaps if she had been religious she wouldn't have been such a liar.

A ragecat GOP convention with a fierce message of 'fight'

August 25, 2020 By Monica Showalter

The GOP is famous for its civility, its reasoned arguments, its uplifting messages, its thousand points of light, its doughty flag-waving. Historically, it's always been a bit of an anti-climax to the more raucous version from the Democrats.

Not this time.

What stood out for me in this convention was not its uplift, which was there, but its ragecat fury, its fight. As Eric Hoffer wrote in his 1979 memoirs: "People need to get angry," and earlier, "there is a lack of ability to get angry." The GOP is getting angry. But it was a positive anger, one that explicitly targeted the left and all its lies, all its incredible miasmas of power. Several speakers explicitly denounced socialism.

First, there were the myth-busters. Former NFL football star Herschel Walker, in his dynamite speech, decried the repeated media lies that President Trump is a racist:.........To Read More

Democrats and NeverTrump carpetbaggers lie about Trump's acceptance speech

August 25, 2020 By Andrea Widburg

The Democrats and their fellow travelers in the NeverTrump Lincoln Project are terrified that if Americans hear Trump without mediation, Americans will (a) like what they hear and (b) know that neither he nor his supporters are racist. (And defamatory racism accusations are the biggest sticks with which they can beat conservatives.)

So it was that when Trump appeared in North Carolina to give his acceptance speech upon receiving the Democrat nomination, CNN cut away from the speech because of alleged "outright lies." Then the hate-filled carpetbaggers in the Lincoln Project, a coalition made up of failed Republican campaign advisers, accused an audience member of calling Obama a "monkey" to Trump's laughing agreement. These are the actions of ugly and desperate people.

Breitbart reported that CNN cut away from Trump's speech. When you read the reasoning, you can see that CNN, accidentally or intentionally, confused "objective" facts with "subjective" opinions to justify saying that Trump stated "outright lies."...............

.Regarding the claim that Trump "'falsely' attacked mail-in voting," there's good evidence from all over America (e.g., New YorkVirginia, and New Jersey) that mail-in voting is a disaster and a gateway to fraud.  Someone can make an opposing argument by pointing to instances in which mail-in voting worked reasonably well, but that does not make Trump's position "false.".........What the despicable Lincoln Project did, though, was even worse than CNN’s behavior:...........
