What Can the Liberal Media Do with a Dementia-Ridden Biden and a B****y VP?

Matt Vespa Matt Vespa Aug 08, 2021

The liberal media is a powerful institution. They offer cover to their friends until they don't. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is finding that out now as his stock has been depreciating ever since it was revealed that he killed scores of the elderly with his nursing home order. The sexual misconduct findings by the New York attorney general's office were the last straw. Every prominent Democrat has called on him to resign. This comes after months of protection from these media types; his brother Chris is a CNN host. Yet, there are limits. You can't polish a turd. You can't make a candidate better with puff pieces. So, with Kamala Harris sucking again, will these quasi-Democratic operatives try again to rebuild her? Or was the vice presidency the best they could do? It also doesn't help that Joe Biden is planting the seeds of her destruction.

Now, on that front, it could be unintentional since the man probably needs a steward to remind him to wear pants every day. Did you notice how all the hard tasks – immigration and COVID vaccinations – are handed to her? If Joe doesn't know, his staff does – she can't do it. So, when the going gets tough, blame Kamala. She did dither on the border, waiting some 100 days to "visit." She has failed miserably in quarterbacking the COVID vaccination effort, as well. There's no way Joe's staff would have signed off on this without the intention of damaging her stock. They know her staff is incompetent. They know her workplace is toxic. They know those who can get out are jumping ship and not turning back.

It's the same old story. We've seen this movie before. In 2020, Kamala Harris dropped out before the likes of Deval Patrick, Tom Steyer, Julian Castro, and other Democrats who had zero chance of winning the nomination or the presidency. She got gutted by then-Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI). We've mentioned this before, but that was the key moment we all knew Harris was a house of cards. She was an incredibly weak candidate as we all knew someone on the debate stage would mention her career locking up scores of folks, especially blacks, for smoking marijuana. She opened herself up when she took a swing at Biden's past remarks about busing. Well, it was Gabbard of all people who disemboweled her, and she never recovered. Politico’s lengthy piece about her 2020 campaign was described in three ways: no message, no strategy, and no discipline. Well, that carried over into the vice presidency.......... Here's the Pork Buffet Traitor GOP Senators Signed Off On With This Infrastructure Deal

Matt Vespa Matt Vespa Aug 07, 2021

This is what we sent GOP senators to do, huh? They side with the Democrats and the Biden administration to pass a pork-filled bill and give this White House a huge legislative win. Is that what we voted for in 2020? And these clowns wonder why the base is enraged and willing to back unconventional candidates to shake up this town. It’s why Donald Trump won in 2016. It’s why he was able to dominate what was considered a deep field with regards to being traditional ‘Reagan conservatives.’ Seventeen Republican senators decided to back this $1.2 trillion dollar infrastructure deal boondoggle. It’s over 2,600 pages long. Did they read what’s in it? Probably not, but ‘Oilfield Rando’ who was mentioned in last week’s episodes of the Triggered podcast, analyzed and reviewed the pork buffet in this bill. Oh, and it’s only the first 666 pages or around 25 percent of the bill. Make yourself a drink for this one. Rando makes notes of which projects were most definitely tailored to buying votes on the GOP side of the aisle, like the $100 million Denali Commission provision that probably secured Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s (R-AK). Here are some of the items thus far (via Oilfield Rando):

  • $550 million for the Technology and Innovation Deployment Program
  • $127.5 million for Training and Education
  • $550 million for the Intelligent Transportation Systems Program
  • A federal program that "enhances American productivity through the integration of advanced communications technologies into the transportation infrastructure and in vehicles
  • $405 million for the University Transportation Systems Program
  • Grants to colleges and universities for transportation research and development
  • $132.5 million for the Bureau of Transportation Statistics
  • The BTS director is by law Mayor Pete's senior advisor
  • $350 million for the Wildlife Crossings Pilot Program
  • $50 million for the Prioritization Process Pilot Program
  • Could have just taken a Lean Six Sigma course?
  • $500 million for the Reconnecting Communities Pilot Program
  • New pilot program to study the feasibility and impacts of removing an existing transportation facility that “creates a barrier to community activity”
  • $150 million for Planning Grants
  • $350 million for Capital Construction Grants
  • Annual listing of "socially disadvantaged businesses enterprises"
  • With federal in-person inspections to verify the business owners are "socially disadvantaged"
  • […]
  • $75 million for studying how to enact income-based road usage taxes
  • Also studies using third parties (big tech) to collect road use data and fees.
  • Also a public awareness campign to warm us up to it.
  • $50 million for a per-mile road usage fee pilot program
  • Volunteer drivers will test a per-mile road usage fee nationwide.
  • Tracking methods will include third-party on-board diagnostic (OBD-II) devices, smart phone applications, telemetric data collected by automakers, motor vehicle data obtained by car insurance companies.
  • The advisory board for the program must include "advocacy groups focused on equity".
  • High Friction Surface Treatment Application study
  • The study will assess using bauxite on roads (has been done forever), and also incorporate renewables into pavement design.
  • $100 million for digital construction management systems
  • A new "Center of Excellence on New Mobility and Automated Vehicles"
  • New mobility means Byrd scooters.
  • Transportation Resilience and Adaptation Centers of Excellence
  • These centers will "support climate vulnerability assessments informed by climate change science"

And remember this is just 25 percent of the bill. Look, I’m not anti-infrastructure. We need a bill that addresses our roads and bridges. It’s a government appropriation that should happen—and it should be big. I’d actually be okay with a $1.2 trillion bill if it wasn’t so covered in crap. Like with anything in DC, there’s what should happen, and what’s going to happen. .............To Read More....

For COVID Vaccine Hesitaters, The CDC Just Gave You Another Reason NOT to Get the Shot

Matt Vespa Matt Vespa Jul 28, 2021

I’ll repeat that I got COVID, recovered from it, and still got the vaccine when it became available. They’re safe. They work. It was my choice. Some folks are different. Others did not get jabbed for whatever reason. That’s fine. This is America. And with the experts flopping all over the place while also being caught lying, colluding with teachers’ unions to keep schools closed, and outright peddling science fiction—I don’t blame those who are hesitant.

As we’ve noted before, vaccination from anything was always a controversial topic. Parenting is a can of worms that politicians would normally avoid. Nothing is more dangerous to a political career than a large bloc of angry parents in the suburbs. So, let’s stop acting like vaccine hesitancy is a new phenomenon in the same way how vaccines are not 100 percent effective, though these offer great protection against severe illness and death, and how viruses mutate. There will be variants..........To Read More.....

My Take - For the record, I'm 75, so I'm at the top of the list of those who're supposed to be most susceptible. I'm not vaccinated, and  I'm not going to get vaccinated.  It's not that I'm against vaccinations, in fact I'm a big supporter of vaccinations, and have gotten a lot of vaccinations throughout the course of my life.

However, I understand this virus is like all these viruses, it's here forever and in this case it isn't nearly as deadly or contagious as their claim.

The number of people who've actually gotten it is small, the number who've died is really small, the numbers of those testing positive is meaningless since if they tested everyone in the nation for all the viruses we've contracted in the last 50  years everyone would test positive for many of them.

This virus has to run it's course, and it will, every year from now until the end of the world,  It will be with us forever, and just like seasonal flu, people will get sickened and people will die, every years.  That's now the real "new reality" that's the "old reality" we've all lived with for all of my life.

Furthermore, I don't care what people think, especially the talking heads in the media and government, because this hysteria has made America mentally and emotionally impotent, and physically compliant and docile to government abuse.

The fact is this virus is nothing more than a hysteria generator for leftist tyranny.  Get over it.

In First Big China Test, Team Biden Got Rolled...And It's Painful to Watch

Matt Vespa Matt Vespa @mvespa1 Mar 19, 2021

Team Biden had their first big foreign policy test with China—and they failed. There’s no way to spin it. Even the liberal media is saying the whole meeting in Alaska devolved into anarchy. This meeting is supposedly the one that will determine if President Depends is going to meet with Xi Jinping. By how things turned out, I don’t think we should even consider it. Why embarrass the United States even more? Secretary of State Tony Blinken just exposed how weak we are in dealing with China. They know it. We got trashed on our own soil and from the looks of it, we didn’t really respond in any way, shape, or form. We got rolled in front of the cameras (via Daily Beast):.........To Read More.....\

My Take - Biden's team got rolled? Really!  And we're shocked why?  As the little kid in the Little Rascals said:  Remarkable!

It's 'Theater': Rand Paul Wrecked Fauci Over One COVID Mask Protocol That Literally Makes No Sense

Matt Vespa Matt Vespa @mvespa1 Posted: Mar 18, 2021

Someone had to do it. Someone had to say it. Why are these medical experts so damn pessimistic about a virus that has a 90+ percent survival rate? They’ve been wrong about almost everything, and I thought the liberal media was the only institution to hold that title. Okay, I’ll be a little fairer—Dr. Marty Makary of Johns Hopkins noted where the medical experts have been wrong regarding masks, testing, schools, and vaccine distribution.

Only pediatricians were the ones who were saying schools were safer to reopen last summer. Those are four big issues that they’ve bungled. And now, they’re saying we need to social distance after vaccination and wear two masks? Why? Makary noted an unpublished Israeli study showing that just one dose of the Pfizer vaccine makes the recipient virtually “bulletproof” after four weeks. They should be telling us what we can do post-vaccination, not peddling fear in the hopes of keeping the Democrats’ lockdown regime alive..........To Read More....

Pollster: It's Curious How Biden Underperformed Hillary Clinton In Every City...Except These Four.

Matt Vespa @mvespa1Nov 14, 2020

Until all the votes are counted and all the allegations of voter fraud are investigated, I think it’s too early to declare a winner in the 2020 race. You keep fighting. For now, the legal challenges are hitting snags in the courts. Still, President Trump should keep fighting to the end. We have allegations of dead people voting and ballots being illegally backdated. Everything should be looked at right now.

Was this election stolen? Well, millions feel that way. The turnout numbers are odd in some states, like Wisconsin, which hit 89 percent. Now, is that figure impossible? No. Wall Street Journal’s Kimberley Strassel did the math, but it’s highly improbable given the turnout rates in the surrounding areas. It would require 900,000 people showing up for same-day registrations. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was blunter last Sunday, when he said, “I think he would have to do a lot to convince Republicans that this is anything except a left-wing power grab, financed by people like George Soros, deeply laid in at the local level, and, frankly, I think that it is a corrupt, stolen election.” He was commenting on Biden’s call for unity...............To Read More.....

Take a Chill Pill: What's Being Buried in the Media Freakout Over New COVID Cases

Matt Vespa July 07, 2020

Enough already. Does the media truly think that new cases are the equivalent of new deaths from coronavirus? If you watched CNN, that’s what you’d get from its various anchors who’ve been peddling hardcore panic porn for days. It’s all the hardcore action—and it’s nonsense. Well, maybe not nonsense, but it just rehashes how responding to this virus was overblown in the first place. We’ve been hearing about the tens of thousands of new cases, the absolute delight the media has had trashing states like Texas and Florida, whilst ignoring that blue New York is still the mecca for this pathogen, along with the Big Apple descending into a crime-ridden hell hole. The media has yet to aggressively push Gov. Andrew Cuomo as to why he signed off on an order that killed thousands of people regarding nursing homes being forced to accept COVID-positive patients. This virus is lethal to the vulnerable and nursing homes are where they reside. Forty-three percent of all deaths from this virus could be traced to nursing homes.

There was a 23 percent drop in COVID deaths from last week. Overall, there’s been a 92 percent drop in COVID deaths from those peak April numbers (via Clay Travis):
On July 4th 254 people died of the coronavirus nationwide. That number went even lower on Sunday because today, on July 5th just 209 people died nationwide of the coronavirus. These 254 deaths on Saturday and 209 deaths on Sunday represent a remarkable death rate decline of 92.4% from the peak daily death total of 2,749 set on April 21st. Saturday and Sunday were also the two lowest days for number of deaths in the country from the coronavirus since March 23rd. (Yes, it’s a holiday weekend, but the overall trend lines have been straightforward for months, deaths decline on Saturday, Sunday and Monday every weekend, so there’s nothing that abnormal about these numbers. Deaths generally peak every Tuesday so if you enjoy reading fear porn, there will likely be a series of fear porn laden articles come Tuesday and Wednesday when deaths climb back up after a weekend decline).
As if that were not enough, yesterday also marked the tenth straight week of declining deaths from the coronavirus in this country, we have gone from 14,813 deaths in the week of April 20-26, an average of 2116 a day to 3611, an average of just 516 a day from June 28th to July 4th. That’s a decline of 76% in the death rate over the past ten weeks.
While I’d prefer no one ever died at all — no one hates death more than me, I wish we were all immortal — at 516 deaths a day we’re talking about roughly 7000 people dying every day in this country of something other than the coronavirus. That is, over the past week coronavirus deaths represented roughly 6% of all deaths in this country. Meaning 94% of all people in this country are dying of something other than the coronavirus.
[…]
Put simply, 7500 people die in the United States every day, 2.8 million every year. Even assuming the coronavirus death tallies in this country are accurate, which they clearly are not, right now the coronavirus would represent around 4.6% of all deaths in this country in a year. Again, no one hates death more than me, but can you really justify shutting down the entire country for something that increases the national mortality rate by under 5% in a year?...........To Read More....

How a Conservative Commentator Turned the Left's Cancel Culture Campaign Against Itself

Matt Vespa
Matt Vespa @mvespa1 Jun 22, 2020
The left-wing mob is recharged and totally insane. They’re back on this cancel culture nonsense. They’re tearing down statues of historical figures they view as problematic. There is no reasoning with them. They’re the intellectual al-Qaeda of our time. You don’t negotiate with terrorists. As Lincoln, Washington, Jefferson, and Roosevelt are being targeted, two things are clear. This has never been about Confederate statues, folks. This has been centered on the Left’s hatred of America and its history and the bizarre fetish to rewrite it through a woke paradigm where no nuance is afforded to anyone. The far-left loony code of ethics, for lack of a better term, is retroactively applied here. It’s utterly insane.

Now, granted, I admit that the Left had a good PR move here. The Confederacy isn’t all that popular, of course. By targeting them, they’ve created a campaign that puts every historical figure at risk. It was never going to stop with Jackson, Lee, or Davis. Never. This was the flank march, the backdoor maneuver to smash all the people.

As you already know, the statue of former President Ulysses S. Grant was torn down. American history has dark periods. The Confederacy, for better or worse, is part of that narrative. It must be defended, so yes—I will defend all the statues because the alternative is what we’re seeing now: A roving band of historically illiterate morons whose main goal is destruction and nothing else.............. .To Read More....
