Vice President Kamala Harris still refuses to visit the southern border to witness the current crisis, despite being appointed to deal with border policy by President Joe Biden nearly 100 days ago. Harris is under fire for her border negligence not only by Republicans but by law enforcement and border patrol agents.

Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley also took note of Harris’s negligence, calling the vice president’s failure to do the job that she was assigned by Biden “embarrassing.”

“Kamala Harris was given one job. One job. And that was to deal with the border. And any leader knows you can’t fix what you can’t see. She hasn’t been on the ground. She hasn’t talked to the border patrol. She doesn’t know what is happening there,” Haley said on Fox News’s America Reports. “This is the same woman who literally tweeted out ‘Come one, come all, we’re open for business,’ so all you have to do is look at that. You know what says ‘don’t come?’ when you show up at the border. Actions speak louder than words. I don’t know what her fear of the border is, but clearly she has one.”

 Harris’s most recent comment that received backlash was likening her overdue visit to the southern border, embattled in humanitarian and national security crises, to a visit to Europe. The vice president has no scheduled trips to the border thus far.

Kamala Harris’ response to border crisis a head-scratcher: I haven’t ‘been to Europe’ either

Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday snapped at an interviewer when he pressed her on why she hasn’t visited the southern border in the 76 days since President Biden put her in charge of the record-smashing illegal immigration crisis — snarking that she hasn’t “been to Europe,” either.

“At some point, you know, we are going to the border,” a defensive Harris told NBC anchor Lester Holt on “Today” in Guatemala on her first international trip since taking office — 1,308 miles away from the southern U.S.-Mexico crossing.

“We’ve been to the border. So this whole thing about the border, we’ve been to the border,” Harris said, to which Holt replied, “You haven’t been to the border.”

Harris, seeming to laugh at her own joke, responded: “And I haven’t been to Europe. And I mean, I don’t understand the point that you’re making. I’m not discounting the importance of the border.”

Harris’ comments come as Border Patrol continues to be overwhelmed by the crisis, which has seen the largest number of illegal immigrants since 2006 infiltrate the U.S. this fiscal year.

Nearly 900,000 migrants were stopped by Customs and Border Protection from Oct. 1 to May 31, according to preliminary data obtained by Axios on Monday.

Pressed by reporters later Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Harris “may” visit the US-Mexico border eventually as Harris’ remark drew widespread blowback.

“I think that at some point she may go to the border. We’ll see,” Psaki said at her daily press briefing. Later, Psaki added, “If it is constructive and it moves the ball forward for her to visit the border, she certainly may do that.”............To Read More....

So far she's made no attempt even to visit the site of the catastrophe, and that's become an issue, as reporters have asked her about it.  Her responses are getting increasingly testy. By now it is clear that Kamala Harris has had the worst week for a Vice President since Dan Quayle misspelled “potato” and attacked Murphy Brown almost 30 years ago. There are news reports, no doubt aided and abetted by some cagey White House staff, that the White House is “troubled” or even “dismayed” by her poor performance. I’m guessing a lot of Biden’s long-time loyal staff have discovered the unappealing and imperious side of Harris that has been well-known in California for years, reminding me of the line Reaganites used to take about Richard Darman: “Why do people take an instant dislike to Darman? Answer: Saves time.”

The Unbearable Lightweightness of Kamala Harris

It’s faint praise at best to describe someone as not smart or dumb.  In fact, I don’t know that Kamala Harris is dumb.  She may have brains, but she doesn’t much show them.  She comes across as a woman who’s well over her head, and that should disturb anyone who cares about the welfare and safety of the nation.  After all, this Californian who spent a chunk of her formative years in Montreal is, as the cliché goes, “a heartbeat away from the presidency.” 

Harris mouths talking points and reads from scripts like a robot.  She often displays an inappropriate, grating cackle-of-a-laugh, which suggests nervousness and lack of confidence.  

Her recent interview with Lester Holt was sophomoric.  Does anyone not think that profilers in China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea aren’t taking copious notes?  Wonder if tyrants Xi Jinping and Vlad Putin wake up in cold sweats at night dreading Harris’ ascendency to the presidency?  

Key question is, does the long corrupted and daft Joe Biden have enough gas in his tank to stay president for the full ride?.......To Read More.....

 

You really have to feel a little bit sorry for Kamala

It's not really your fault.  The cabal that selected Joe Biden, knowing he wouldn't have any real power, conceded to his pandering notion that he had to have a black female vice president, giving Stacey Abrams/Maxine Waters/Sheila Jackson Lee/Frederica Wilson/Ayanna Pressley/Jamele Hill collective giggly vapors.  The cabal, also knowing it wouldn't matter because the black female vice president wouldn't have any real power, either, said what the hell, and you were eenie-meenie-miney-moed.  Considering all the alternatives, you were the least bad choice. 

But now you're stuck, because you don't know what you're doing, and you know it.  Everyone else knows it, too, and you know that, and you're mad about it, because people keep pointing it out in ways you never see coming.  You had no fixed goal in mind when you went south, and the muckety-mucks of Guatemala and Mexico ate your lunch.  They smelled your fear and weakness and incompetence before your plane even landed.  You babbled something about U.S. companies investing in "hope" down there so all those Guatamexihondurans would stay put but offered the same old aid packages they've seen before.  They told you the ugly truth that you and Joe just can't get into your freakishly bloated cortexes: if you don't want all these poor, uneducated, unskilled, sick, hungry brown people coming into the country illegally, announce that you are closing the border, and then close the border.  How hard is that?.......To Read More....

Staff murmer to press that they're 'perplexed' about Kamala Harris's performance on her first trip abroad

Kamala Harris staff seem embarrassed in the wake of her first blundering trip abroad to Mexico and Guatemala, and once again, they're leaking it to the press.

According to the New York Post:

Biden administration officials are “quietly perplexed” about Vice President Kamala Harris’ fumbling multiple questions about the border and are concerned her unforced errors will overshadow her first international trip, according to a report.

Speaking to CNN, administration officials discussed how the question of visiting the border dogged Harris for the whole trip, with her answer to NBC News’ Lester Holt stealing the spotlight from her work.

They're not angry at the press, they're embarrassed about her, and her inability to answer a simple question from CBS's fawning Lester Holt, (a newsman who views fairness in news coverage as overrated), and very likely wanted to make Harris look good. Harris' Trip Such a Disaster Even the Biden Admin Is Perplexed

Biden administration officials are “perplexed” by Vice President Kamala Harris’ handling of her embarrassing first international trip, according to a report from CNN.

Harris’ trip earlier this week to Central America and Mexico, coupled with her awkward interview Tuesday with NBC News anchor Lester Holt over her absence at the U.S. border with Mexico, reportedly has those close to her attempting to make sense of her bungled foreign visit.

“[Harris] endured a rocky first foreign trip since taking office, with sources telling CNN her two-day swing through Mexico and Guatemala left some administration officials quietly perplexed about what they perceive as her bumpy answers to questions about whether she will go to the US-Mexico border,” CNN noted Wednesday in a lengthy report after speaking to people inside the White House............To Read More....

 

A dirty, dangerous border situation with illegals threatening riots

Democrats have gone a long way to create chaos at the border. They've denied necessary funds for law enforcement to pay for humane conditions in detention camps during a border surge. They've nullified any meaning to border law. It's all a politically cynical bid to Blame Trump.

Thus far, the issue has been viewed and reported as a public relations issue for President Trump, with reports of children brought to the U.S. illegally now in detention without soap or toothbrushes. The media and the Democrats have been dining out on it, calling Trump a heel.

There's more than that, of course. There are the legal challenges from the Left to any border enforcement, the strange collaborations between some Democratic political machines and the Mexican and Central American governments, the left-wing activist networks linked to Democrats actively recruiting illegals, and the open encouragement of illegal immigration by blue states offering huge arrays of benefits. If chaos were the aim, Democrats couldn't have done it better.

But it's actually something much more dangerous. We're now seeing potential for violent migrant riots. The mobs rolling over our border now are violent, and they demand to be let in without vetting.
