P&D Today

De Omnibus Dubitandum

By Rich Kozlovich

Let's start out with the  Quote of the Day"If you make people think they're thinking, they'll love you.  But if you really make them think, they'll hate you." Donald Marquis

P&D is designing to make people actually think, and learn how to think, in order to know what to think.  Today's offerings are designed to generate depth of thought remembering that nothing is ever as it appears, and the patterns of life keep repeating over and over again.  And one of those patterns is that people, like nations, will act in their own best interests, and often at times in ways that are detrimental to the group to which they belong. That's a concept I'm attempting to drive home today.

Once we can grasp that, everything becomes easier to understand.

Truth is the sublime convergence of history and reality.   Everything we're told should have a historical foundation and context.  Everything we're presented should bear some resemblance to what we see going on in reality.  If what's presented to us fails in either category, it's wrong, all that's left to do is develop the intellectual response to show why it's wrong.

The goal of those in power is propaganda to keep the masses uninformed, misinformed and controlled, and mostly directed at those with low levels of comprehension and understanding.  Propaganda that must and will be repeated over and over again.  "Keep it simple stupid" is more than just a phrase, it's a methodology, all reinforced with emotional appeals that have little intellectual significance or historical foundation.   Emotion for the masses, reason for the select.  But they fail on reason, if we think, and know how to think, and thinking starts with a very real understanding that "everything must be questioned".   De Omnibus Dubitandum, my personal motto.

Enjoy today's offerings, I particularly like both of my commentaries today.  I hope you agree.
