WATCH: Police Run Over Freedom Convoy Protesters With Horses, Face Lawsuit

Police began their action against the Freedom Convoy protesters in Ottawa Friday morning. There are a lot of protesters and while the police have gained control of some streets and arrested some of the people, there are still many other protesters.  At least 100 people have been arrested, mostly for “mischief” charges — a charge that seems to be a catch-all for dissenting from the government — and about 24 vehicles towed. But based upon the number of folks who have come out, there are a lot of people left and now, more people are coming out. They may have just made more protesters after this police action. My Take - This was police conduct against completely peaceful demonstrators, and the "legacy" media is largely silent, and no one is calling for disbanding their police.   Yet, when "most peaceful protestors" were burning down buildings, destroying private property and attacking people the media went nuts against police trying to stop that, demanding police forces all across the nation be defunded and disbanded, and some calling for social workers to take their place. 

However, while I'm a law and order guy who supports police in general, and have been stunned at the stupidity or the "defund the police" crowd, we have to remember the police forces of the world are quasi-military units for civilian control, and tyrants pay their salaries also.

Authorities said the Mounties were brought in to prevent an escalation or further injury after the protesters had engaged in “assaultive behavior.”.......
