Election 2028: Democrats Have a Lot of Baggage, Part I

"One of the painful signs of years of dumbed-down education is how many people are unable to make a coherent argument. They can vent their emotions, question other people's motives, make bold assertions, repeat slogans-- anything except reason." - Thomas Sowell

By Rich Kozlovich

Democrat theme song for the 2028 election sung to the tune of Perry Como's Let Get Letters song.

We have baggage, we have baggage, we have loads and loads of baggage. Dear (Nominee to be named) would you be so kind and raise my taxes, bring immigrants who hate me to be my neighbors, increase regulations, end the Constitution, and censor the ones I hate best.

Michael Moore has been quoted as saying, “I am the center. I am the mainstream now of the Democratic Party”.   So, the Democrat election strategy will be rude, crude, and stupid?  What could possibly go wrong?

Since Bakke, the experiment has gone horribly wrong. We got riots, we got legalized theft, we got reparations, we got cities burning, we got DEI, we got streets telling us how much BLM. Now we’ve got a lovely new statue in Times Square. And how did Americans of any color prosper from all that? No one did. No one improved, no one produced anything of value, and no recipient of this largess managed to elevate not only their own lives, but the lives of others. Instead the entire tenor of the country got dumbed down and became incompetent. And because it is impossible for some people to change for the better, we got Crockett et al, mouthy, angry, and ready to body slam.  J.C Raines

New York is under the total control of the Democrat party, and New Yorkers are so pleased with their performance, they're fleeing the state and taking $14 billion dollars with them.

The black vote was almost monolithic when it came to elections.  All  for the Democrat party, and for years, but now those who voted for Trump are telling Van Jones they'd do it again.  Without reservations.

In California the vote for leftists is automatic, and universal.  In one county:

73.2% of Marin voters actually thought that John Kerry was fit to lead the country. In 2008, unsurprisingly Obama won by 77.77 percent, the same percentage that voted for Hillary in 2016. However, in 2020 and 2024—both of which were elections with mail-in ballots only, Marin went stratospherically to the left: Biden got 82% of Marin’s votes in 2020 and Kamala got 80.6% of the votes in 2024............

And that's the type of incompetence they're voting for in Marin County.  And what have they discovered.   The Democrats are just as incompetent as conservatives keep saying they are.  Now, they're getting what they deserve....good and hard.

California is is debt for spending vast amounts state Medicaid dollars on homeless housing, and he's not in jail, imagine that, and he's getting support for a run at the Demoncrat nomination for President in 2028.   Apparently he thinks America should look like California, while being the world's fourth largest economy, ....." with a GDP of more than $4.1 trillion, could be on the brink of insolvency."   And Californians haven't figured out these insane policies Newsom promotes are at fault?  But it won't matter, they would vote for these nitwits all over again.   Imagine that!  Schadenfreude.

Joe Biden was completely lost for four years, and the Democrats and their myrmidons in the media knew it.   Yet the heaped scorn on anyone who declared otherwise. It was dereliction of duty at the highest level.

Anyone with no agenda and half a brain knew the latter and has known since Biden first ran for president. And all indications are that his cancer developed over time. So, where was the Surgeon General for the last four years? Where was the cabinet? What did they know and when did they know it? And who was running the country while Biden was sleepwalking through the presidency?

It's impossible for his cabinet not to have recognized his dementia, and one  witnessed what we all saw through what they insisted were our lying eyes.  One Secret Service agent claims Biden would get lost in his White House closet.

....the guy literally stumbling around in the White House residence couldn’t find his way out of his own closet,” Hawley added. “The president of the United States.”

This is a scandal greater than anything that happened during Watergate.

Reports regarding the state of the economy?  They lied, it turns out the Labor Department claims hundreds of thousands of Biden jobs were fake.  Hundreds of thousands!  It clearly have to have been a coverup by the Labor Department, and the entire Democrat leadership.

They lie constantly.  According to them Trump was Russian puppet and traitor and the Steele dossier was valid.  Kavanaugh was a rapist, Jussie Smollett was lynched, you're children had to be kept out of school for two years to end covid.  Everything they touted about covid and the need for everyone to be vaccinated was either an outright lie, or a misrepresentation of the facts, and you can keep your health plan under Obamacare.

Joe Biden is as sharp as a tack, the economy under his administration was booming, and any increases in your bills is an illusion.   Liz Chaney was a paragon of integrity rising above politics,  and Republicans are weird, because America needs as many illegal immigrants as possible, and if you disagree you're a bigot.   Trade with China is good because it keep their slaves-labor factories open.

Alternative energy is settled science, cutting government waste and fraud is a danger to "our democracy, and any flaws in America's education system can be fixed by pouring more money into the teacher's coffers.  The Deep State is apolitical, and there's no white genocide taking place in South Africa.   Here's the complete list offered by Charlton Allen, it's not "nearly exhaustive."

Four years of scandal, tyranny, and disaster.  COVID Mandates, mass illegal immigration, wasted trillions of programs that were bound to fail, but make their cronies rich, ignoring the law in favor of "social justice", and a broad embrace of DEI over competence, and the consequences for this will never be totally overcome any more than the consequences of the stupidity of the Nixon and Carter years.

Halfwits, nitwits, misfits, dipsticks, and meritless pinheads.
A vile cesspool of destructive self interested corruption.

Denmark and the Golden Rule Club

May 31, 2025 by Dan Mitchell @ International Liberty

Ten years ago, I asked whether Denmark was going to be “a Shining Example of Mitchell’s Golden Rule.”

To achieve that distinction, a nation needs to have a multi-year period where there is fiscal restraint so that the private sector grows faster than the government.

I showed in 2019 that the answer to my question is yes.

But now the answer is an emphatic yes. Here’s a chart based on IMF data. As you can see, Denmark did a great job at spending restraint from 2013-2019 and a good job of limiting government from 2013-2023.

The spending restraint during the 2013-2023 period is particularly impressive since that included the pandemic years. Danish politicians allowed spending to expand when COVID hit, but only for one year (2020) and by a far lesser amount (8.2 percent) than most other nations.

And the spending restraint was so good before and after the pandemic that overall spending grew by an average of only 1.7 percent during the 2013-2023 period.

The most impressive achievement in the graph is that the overall burden of spending dropped by 11 percentage points of GDP.

Government consumed nearly 58 percent of the economy’s output in 2012, the year before spending restraint began. By 2023, the spending burden was less than 47 percent of GDP.

Unsurprisingly, spending restraint meant the nation also went from having large budget deficits to having large budget surpluses. The obvious takeaway is that when you address the disease of excessive spending growth, you automatically fix the symptom of red ink.

Back in 2014, I showed a list of nations that had multi-year periods of spending restraint, with government growing by an average of less than 2 percent annually.

I need to update that table and include Denmark.

The bottom line is that Denmark’s government made a lot of progress. However, the public sector is still far too big (and spending is growing far too fast this year, so some of the 2013-2023 progress is being eroded).

P.S. Denmark is a good role model for Social Security reform, which makes me wonder why some conservatives seem to prefer Hungary.

In Defense of Liberty

By Dr. Michael J. Hurd

Editor's Note:  These are from his website Dr. Hurd. Com, Daily Dose of Reason from May 15, to May 31, however, they're not all here, or in chronological order, as I've picked those I wish to highlight, and I've tried to organize them topically as much as possible in order to get the full impact of what he's saying. RK

In Defense of Liberty

Act Now to Defend Liberty, or Lose It (My Latest NEWSMAX) -The following is my Newsmax Insider column from 5-30-25: These days, we've obviously heard much about politics and how the two still dominant political parties are divided. To evoke a common phrase, this is nothing more...

Memorial Day 2025: Why Did They Fight & Die for America? - So….Did they fight and die for liberty and equal individual rights under the law … or did they fight and die so men could dress up as women and beat women on women’s sports teams; and go into women’s bathrooms? Did they fight and die for freedom of speech … or did they fight and die so that totalitarian-minded college professors living off inflated tuition and government grants could impose their subjective definition of “hate speech” on the population?........

When Have Democrats Ever Paid for Anything? - CNN political commentator Van Jones said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that Democrats would pay for covering up then-President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline for a long time..........They lost to Trump twice. But they have always come back, and will continue to do so until or unless we arrest and imprison their ringleaders — including but not limited to the Obama, Clinton, Biden, Soros, Fauci and Pelosi crime families. You hang traitors. And if you don’t have the stomach to do so literally, then you remove their freedom and power, at a minimum............If you were too dense or dishonest to see Biden’s problems before, you will be the type to continue to applaud and support ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING these Commiefascists and their media choose to serve up.............

Celebrity Nitwit Brigade

Celebrity Idiots Proudly Leaving America -These celebrities make me ill. They have millions. So they need not worry about socialized medicine, public schools mutilating and indoctrinating their children, felony charges for misgendering, and all the rest. They can insulate themselves from the socialism and Communism they cherish.

I do not begrudge them their millions. But they made their millions in a largely capitalist American system they now wish to eliminate. Capitalism was fine for themselves, but once they make their millions, they demand Communism for the rest of us. It’s depraved, sadistic and I am sick of these loathsome, moralistic, shamelessly ignorant and willfully intellectually illiterate famous creeps that millions of Americans continue to worship, like gods......

Hate Crimes and Speech

It's Only Hate When You Condemn Muslims - BBC Arabic journalist Samer Elzaenen has called for Jews to be burned â€Å“as Hitler did,” The Telegraph quoted him as saying in a Saturday report. Elzaenen, 33, who has been reporting from Gaza, has been posting a series ...

Hate Crime - They call it a “hate crime” if you refer to a man pretending to be a woman as “he” instead of “she.” Some even want it to be a felony.  This savage murder will NOT be called a hate crime. You won’t hear a peep of outrage from Rachel Maddow, The View or The New York Times. Jewish Americans: Why in the HELL do you vote Democrat?  Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky, who were killed by a gunman outside the Capital Jewish Museum on Wednesday, met while working at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, her father said. Lischinsky had just bought an engagement ring and planned to propose in Jerusalem next week, an official said........

Leftist Violence on the Elderly -  Meet Laura Garrett. She’s facing multiple charges after allegedly attacking an elderly Trump supporter wearing a MAGA hat in Largo, Florida. Garrett allegedly approached the man to ask why he supports Trump then poured some type of liquid she was holding on the victim’s head and hit him on the back of his head. Charges included battery on a person older than 65, battery on a police officer and obstructing or resisting an officer without violence, according to Pinellas County Jail records.  Leftism is terrorism, fascism and Communism rolled into a hybrid package of horrific proportions.......

Judiciary

Biden and Obama Judges Are Determining Our Fate -  “Federal judge blocks Trump’s plan…” That’s all you hear these days. The Trump administration is being held hostage by a handful of Obama and Biden (Soros funded) judges overtly, explicitly and unblinkingly declaring war on the Constitution. They’re stopping Trump from enforcing the border. If Trump attempted a military action against, say, Iran, would Obama or Biden judges order that stopped too? At what point is the Constitution, and the powers deemed presidential powers, even relevant? It doesn’t seem to matter. Democrat supporters are either oblivious or indifferent. If Trump does something, it’s automatically and always unconstitutional. If Biden did something it was automatically and always valid. That’s it. End of story......

The Supreme Court is Not Conservative - President Trump yesterday, on Truth Social:  The Supreme Court has just ruled [7-2] that the worst murderers, drug dealers, gang members, and even those who are mentally insane, who came into our Country illegally, are not allowed to be forced out without going through a long, protracted, and expensive Legal Process, one that will take, possibly, many years for each person, and one that will allow these people to commit many crimes before they even see the inside of a Courthouse.........

Trump's Leftist Justice -  Amy Coney Barrett, Trump’s second biggest mistake in his first term. (His biggest was trusting Fauci). She’s ripping into President Trump and his policy attempting to return violent, criminal illegal aliens to their home countries without full due process. So here we are, with a hard core leftist on the Supreme Court appointed by President Trump. I wonder if she needs to be investigated for violating any federal laws?........

Policies That Destroy America

Why Medicaid Will Never Be Moral - Speaker of the House Mike Johnson said the Trump bill is moral, because it places work requirements on Medicaid recipients. While placing work requirements on Medicaid recipients who can work seems like a good thing, it won’t make Medicaid moral. Medicaid is immoral because it’s based on coercion. Those who don’t obtain Medicaid are forced to pay for it through taxes and inflation.

Medicaid is not a charity program. Imagine if someone came to your house, held you up at gunpoint and said, “You can’t call the police. I am giving your money and possessions to needy people. I am moral.” It’s insane. Even if the money went to charity, it would still not be moral, because ROBBERY IS NEVER MORAL. Yet that’s exactly what the federal government does with socialized medicine–which is what Medicaid is........

Real Reparations -  Instead of racially based “reparations” (involving victims and victimizers who have been dead 200 years), how about reparations for something REAL? How about liberty reparations? For example, arrest the Biden, Obama, Fauci, Pelosi, Soros, Bush and other crime families.

Confiscate their wealth and divide it up among the population. I’ve mentioned only the high profile cases — I’m sure we could come up with many more. Return to all tax paying U.S. citizens — only U.S. citizens who have paid a certain amount in taxes over the years — some of the wealth confiscated from them. Now THAT would be justice. It wouldn’t be based on factors such as race or favoritism. It would be based strictly on the facts. Criminals took from productive people; a just government seizes that wealth and gives it back.......

Don't Accept Unearned Guilt "You Didn't Earn It!"  Protected by the privacy of a therapy session, clients occasionally admit to me that interactions with family, grown children, aging parents and old friends were often tinged with guilt. In spite of all the jokes (“What? You can’t call your mother once in a while? Fine. I’ll suffer!”), countless negative emotions and psychological problems can arise because of guilt – specifically, unearned guilt. Unearned guilt refers to taking responsibility for something over which you have no control and that you did not cause.......

Smug Totalitarians Supported by Gullible Democrat Voters - “Democrat Messaging Falters as They Ask Constituents to Foot Medicaid Costs for 1.4 Million Illegal Aliens,” says a Breitbart headline. Rich, totalitarian, smug, self-righteous, hypocritical totalitarians forcing hard working, gullible constituents to pay for the medical care of foreigners, many of them violent, predatory gang members.  America’s founders, men like Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Paine and James Madison, were neither gullible nor naive. Yet I wonder if even they could foresee the magnitude of the depravity future politicians would heap on this nation.............

Psychotic Left

The Mental Health Industry's Wreckage - Anna (in this video) was medically transitioned (male to female) as a teen, and has since detransitioned. He now realizes he was just a gay man, not a girl, and in this video blasted those pushing the medical and ideological ...

The Ridiculous Fallacies of the Psychiatric Industry - The television sitcom, “Designing Women,” back in the 1980s, had an episode where the characters made fun of psychiatric diagnoses such as narcissism, borderline personality and the like. They called it, “Obnoxious Personality Disorder.” The show was way ahead of its time in this critique. People today love to label everyone they dislike a narcissist, a borderline personality, etc.

They’re following the nod of the mental health Establishment. What they’re really describing is just plain OBNOXIOUS people: sad, small souls who feel a need to take their malevolent, gloomy world views out on other people. It’s not a disease. It’s a nasty character flaw. It’s really a way of trying to bring others down with you. Call it narcissist, borderline or whatever the next label our psychiatric industry comes up with — it’s just plain OBNOXIOUS.......

Violent Psychopaths Triumph in The Upside Down Society -  Congresswoman Nancy Mace on social media:

“BREAKING: Samuel Theodore Cain is first trans activist in country to be arrested for death threats against us, thanks to Capitol Police and SLED. Roxie was “dead*ss” arrested. We’ll let the photo stand for itself because this individual is obviously unwell in more ways than one. Hopefully they have makeup wipes in prison.”

In our morally inverted, psycho-pathological era, why are the rational and decent afraid for their lives, while the delusional and violent are on the rise? We can’t go on like this. At least in South Carolina, there’s still a little justice.......

Spending

If Republicans Won't Cut Spending, Who Will? - I am really pleased and impressed with President Trump’s second term. The man is an American hero, and one for the ages. But in reflecting on Elon Musk’s disillusionment with the Republican Party’s absolute unwillingness (in Congress, where it counts) to cut spending, I wonder if it’s too late for America..........

Where Are the Big, Beautiful Spending Cuts? - There is no “public” sector or “private” sector. We have only the WORKING sector and the PLUNDER sector. President Trump’s big beautiful bill passed the House, and will likely pass the Senate. It’s good news, of course. The bill has tax cuts and tax relief, desperately needed by our working sector — the private sector. But the bill does nothing to address spending. Republicans kicked the can 5 years down the road on spending cuts. President Trump, to be fair, is finding massive cuts, but because Congress has the final say, those cuts will not stick. Biden-Obama judges are undoing all of those cuts, too. Congress has to back up those cuts. A refusal to cut spending is the one thing Republicans and Democrats seem to agree on, based on the fact that neither party has ever cut a penny — and, it appears, never will.

Tyranny

The Productive & Honest Vs. The Totalitarian "Progressives" - Here's how it works today: “I have unlimited rights, and no responsibilities. You have unlimited responsibilities, and no rights. My feelings are king. If I feel uncomfortable in any way, it’s all your fault.” It’s the premise of the Democratic Party, who still controls our not yet dismantled Deep State and virtually everything in our culture that people pay more attention to than the government — entertainment, sports, the corporate world, government-run schools/universities, medicine and the so-called mental health industry. No relationship (personal or sociopolitical) can survive five minutes on this premise.  No civilization can survive on this premise, either.......

The Malevolent Totalitarian Monsters Could Regain Power - If malevolent monsters like this ever ascend to power, we will have no choice but to fight: by any and every means necessary. They will not turn us into a racist slave state in reverse. You don’t get to say, “Because whites once enslaved blacks, today blacks may enslave whites.” These Marxist racial supremacists will not force innocent people to pay restitution to victims dead for 200 years. Not without a war. If totalitarian haters like this ever take over the American government, then it’s no longer America. And believe me, at that point, all bets are off.............

One More Reason Communists and Fascists Should Not Hold Office in America - She’s basically saying when (not if) the Democrats eventually retake the Congress and White House, Trump and Republicans will be convicted and incarcerated. This should surprise nobody. Yes, she’s a dingbat. But she speaks for the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party is an organized, openly terrorist, Communist and fascist gang of thugs and sociopaths. There is nothing they won’t do. Their only regret about the awful Biden regime is it went 70 mph rather than 200 mph in the destruction of American liberty. They intend to get power again, preferably by exploiting the ignorance of millions of people who will see fit to blame Trump and Republicans for anything that goes wrong (or even if nothing goes wrong). And then there’s ballot fraud, which is still a thing..........

James Bond, You Let us Down!

By Rich Kozlovich

Ian Fleming, who created James Bond, was also an intelligence agent serving in the British Royal Navy's Naval Intelligence Division during World War II playing a role in in covert operations, and his experiences played a role in the creation of the James Bond character, and the Bond stories.  As I read world events I have to wonder if he saw the fictional evil organizations he created in parallel with organizations that really do exist.  I believe he did.

It turns out SPECTRE, a global criminal enterprise led by Ernst Stavro Blofeld, and SMERSH, a former Soviet counterintelligence agency, along with Quantum, a criminal syndicate are real.  Real in the sense they're representational parallels to those who really are trying to rule the world, and doing it through something called globalism.  Globalists are still trying to run the world.  The names may not be the same as Fleming's fictional organizations, but their goals are.  Let's call them the SPECTRE Cabal.

For years as I watched the world, I kept wondering what in the world are these wealthy and powerful people trying to accomplish by pushing globalism. Then I realized globalism was a front for a criminal cabal that James Bond failed to destroy, James Bond being a representative parallel character for those who are supposed to be standing for truth, justice and freedom.

Globalism is nothing more than an effort to push the world into a socialist form of governance that would in effect be nothing more than a return to feudalism.  Whether you call them kings, or dictators, it's the rich and powerful controlling the peasants.

  1. They tell us we should eat bugs to prevent global warming, and like it.
  2. They would force us to shelter in place, shut down our businesses, and accept experimental medicines to prevent the flu, all destroying the concept of individual liberties.
  3. They would tell us we have to live in clustered communities within walking distance to everything we need, making it easier to control everyone.
  4. They want to end car ownership, air travel without permission.
  5. They want to eliminate cash so they can then control who could buy and sell depending on their political and/or religious views.
  6. They would be the kings, and their lackeys would be the administrators who would be in charge of controlling the peasants.  In America they're called the FBI, CIA, and the Administrative state, etc.

Starting with the United Nations, a "wretched hive of scum and villainy" if there ever was one.  I would like to start out by saying I didn't originate that phrase.  It's is a quote from an article I read.  I think I got it from Dan Mitchell in his "Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy" series, who I believe got it from the first Star Wars movie quoting Obi-Wan Kenobi (played by Alec Guinness) calling the community, Mos Eisley,  a "wretched hive of scum and villainy".   And that should be the definition not only the UN, but the EU, WEF, WHO, WTO, and a host of others.

That phrase is so rich in eloquently defining just how corrupt and vile the these groups are I just had to use it, as the United Nations and these others have turned out to be the Mos Eisley of international politics:

"a wretched hive of scum and villainy".

It's also no surprise the International Criminal Court demonstrates there's no such thing as an "international community, only national interests", most of which are based on corruption, self-interest and lies, and as far as I'm concerned, it's corrupt to the core!  Israel, as well as the United States aren't signatories of the Rome Statute agreement so the ICC has no jurisdiction in either nation, and there is no state of Palestine.

When it was created there was fear this unaccountable court would become a tool of leftists and anti-Semites to attack Israel and the United States in order to promote antisemitic and leftist agendas.  They were right. They're an uncontrolled body that makes up it's own rules, and is in dire need of a good smack in the mouth, and I think it should be declared a terrorist organization.

Recently the world's ruling class, most of them either thugs or leftist misfits, descended on NYC to Rant at U.N. General Assembly:

"North Korea’s Kim Jong-un, China’s Xi Jinping, Russia’s Vladimir Putin,  Turkish strongman Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Vietnam’s communist dictator To Lam, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and socialist Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Nepalese communist leader KP Sharma Oli will also be in attendance, as well as British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron,  among others."

U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who traditionally speaks first before the world leaders, has used the weekend prior to the event to pressure countries to adopt what is currently a 56-page international legal document known as the “Pact for the Future,” which would commit member nations to a massive global wealth redistribution plan intended to fund the U.N.’s “Agenda 2030” proposals to end poverty, racism, discrimination against women, and other social maladies...... presenting his 2024 priorities encompassing everything from global financial structures to climate control.

Totalitarian schemes each and every one of them.  Their presentation of what the Pact For the Future is substantially different than reality, as described in this Pact for the Future article:

.....neither this Pact nor the agenda items embraced by its constituent “agreements” will surprise anyone who has been watching the clamoring effort by the UN, WEF, and WHO to consolidate power to global “experts,” especially since the Plandemic. What should alarm us is the veneer of legitimacy being conferred upon an effort to replace Western Civilization — the moral and economic aspirational model for human progress — with an unelected, unaccountable global governing body seeking to impose an ideologically warped, one-world global vision by coercion and force.

Guterres "despairs" the chaos "enveloping the world and guess who's fault it is?  You got it...It's the Jews fault!  Why?  They actually decided to make a real fight of it, and were winning, at least until this latest cease fire.  That really upset Guterres claiming there's no end in sight for the fighting, and Israel's defense of their  nation, “exponentially increase what is already a humanitarian nightmare with untold regional consequences”, calling for an "immediate humanitarian ceasefire and the unconditional release of all hostages.”

Well he wasn't so stupid as to believe Hamas would willingly give up those hostages, and if they need humanitarian aid, then let the Muslim world provide it, which they're not.  Why?   It's also interesting no one called for a cease fire until Israel started winning.  Why?

One of the groups who thinks they should be able to tell us how to live is the, Club Of Rome, another leftist out of control globalist movement that, "would restrict your ability to decide how you travel, what you eat, and how you live your life – all in the name of sustainability and the global economic system".   And who are they?  There are 100 members "selected from current and former heads of state and government, UN administrators, high-level politicians and government officials, diplomats, scientists, economists, and business leaders from around the globe."   What could possibly go wrong?

One person commented the "Club of Rome are part of the vast network controlling the Blob. They are the depopulationist wing following Paul Ehrlich. They are evil to the core. Anti-humanists who must be thwarted by any and all means."

Then there's the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Paris-based international bureaucracy is trying to become some sort of global tax enforcer for left-wing policy, which is substantially funded by American taxpayers.

Never to be at the bottom of the list is the World Economic Forum, whose former Chairman thinks China is the finest example of good governance in the world.

The International Monetary Fund thinks poor nations can grow faster if they raise taxes and increase the burden of government spending.

At one point W.H.O. demanded 1.5 Billion from world leader in order to handle emergencies.  They would become the de facto power over any decision as to what those emergencies are and what the world should do about them.  Which would be exactly the same "solutions" they promoted during the false covid "crisis".  A passport for tyranny.   Trump dropped funding to WHO, and now not only will they not be ruling the world, they're out of money.  Good.

And the outlined plan for all of this?  COP 29, and that's not much different than COP 30, And they're insulted by the mere 250 billion dollars nations are willing to devote to the scientific fraud of climate change. They're wanting over a trillion a year in what can only be considered a form of reparations to third world nations for these false claims western civilization is responsible for climate change, which has caused them suffering, and western civilization needs to be punished.

Welllll, it just ain't gonna happen folks, because in point of fact now we have a modern James Bond, and his name is Donald Trump, and he's made it clear, he's going to deal with the SPECTRE Cabal, and put an end to this corruption and this return to feudalism.   Will his efforts last? No! You have to know the left is like rust, it never sleeps, and never dies.

While tyrants can be replaced, tyranny lives forever, and must be fought forever, so James Bond must also live forever.

Western Society Will Be Destroyed Without a Commitment to Truth - American institutions are suffering from a collapse in public support. Among the institutions worst affected are government, the press and education. One could be forgiven for believing that government must be the most important, given its pervasiveness in our lives and its law enforcement powers; followed by the media, which -- of late -- does the government's bidding; and then perhaps education.

The Democratic Party is Literally Dying

By Robin Itzler

Editor's Note:  This is one of the commentaries selected from Robin's weekly newsletter Patriot Neighbors.  Any cartoons will have been added by me.  If you wish to get the full edition, E-mail her at PatriotNeighbors@yahoo.com to get on her list, it's free.

Age is a number, and everyone knows mentally and physically active people in their 80s and older. Still both the Republican and Democrat parties have way too many oldsters who would confuse Pepsico with Pepto Bismol.

However bad it is in the Republican party; it is much worse across the aisle with Democrats. Top Democrats in 10 different committees are 70 or older. One is the ever- annoying California Representative Maxine Waters on the House Financial Services Committee. Waters is 86 years old and most sane people would rather listen to nails on a chalkboard than her.

From political analyst Lakshya Jain:

Three of the 215 House Democrats have died this year, all from states that Trump won (TX/AZ) or have a Republican Governor (TX/VA). Six House Democrats have died since April 2024. The last eight House members to die in office have been Democrats, going back to 2022. I think the question here is whether we realize that this is simply not a coincidence—it’s the result of decisions made regarding seniority and running for re-election.

One last point: 11 of the 14 House members over 80 are Democrats.

Consider the “big, beautiful House bill” that just passed in the House 215:214. Let’s say the two Republicans who missed voting (!) for the bill got into the chamber on time. Then the vote would have then been 217:214.

THREE Democrat representatives have died since the start of the year. Let’s say those three Democrats didn’t die. Then the vote would have been 217:217.

If there is a tie in the House, the vote is lost. There is no tie breaker like in the Senate where the vice president is the tie breaker.

Communist Democrat David Hogg keeps yakking about wanting to replace old Democrats with younger ones such as communist Representative Alexandria Cortez and racist Jasmine Crockett. (Crockett hates white people.)

Don’t laugh! Ignorant young people who have been “educated” in our pro-communist public schools support AOC and Crockett.   What could possibly go wrong?

America Doesn’t Need ‘International Students’

By Daniel Greenfield @ Sultan Knish Blog

There are over 1 million foreign students in the United States. The largest group by far are Chinese students whose numbers have fluctuated between a third and a quarter of a million. These students are in America to gain training in this country, not only at top universities like Harvard, but at tech companies, before taking their knowledge and skills back to China.

Saudi Arabia, the tenth largest source of foreign students, had the single most famous foreign students of any country who didn’t win any Nobel prizes, but did successfully fly passenger planes into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, but didn’t quite make it to the White House.

Despite that, the Saudis continue to send tens of thousands of their students to America.

With Bangladesh in 13th place, Iran in 14th, Pakistan in 16th, Turkey in 19th and Indonesia in 22nd, a lot of foreign students come from the Muslim world and were involved in the pro-terrorist riots calling for the destruction of America, Israel and all of Western civilization.

Notably, few of America’s foreign students are westerners. No European nation even shows up in the top 10 countries for foreign students. The UK is in 15th place and France is only in the 20th. Only Canada, right across the border, is in the top 5, but accounts for only 2.6% of foreign students. Nigeria accounts for three times as many foreign students as France, Iran sends more foreign students than the UK and Pakistan far more than Spain. While most American students who study abroad go to Europe, European students are not going to America.

International students are mostly non-westerners and that’s by design. The Eisenhower and Kennedy administrations, after extensive lobbying by Ivy League colleges, began bringing third world students to America to counter Communist influence. Beneficiaries included Barack Obama Sr and Shyamala Gopalan, the mother of Kamala Harris, along with other radicals, who found positions in the United States and left behind radical children who undermined America.

Whatever benefits we may gain from foreign students are more than outweighed by 8 years of Obama and by the destruction wreaked by the wayward children of other ‘international students’. And those benefits are at the heart of the debate taking place right now.

Outrage and protests followed the Trump administration’s crackdown on foreign students. America, we were told, would be absolutely lost without those 1 million foreign students.

According to NAFSA, the Association of International Educators which promotes foreign students, foreign students contributed $43.8 billion to the U.S. economy. NAFSA did not mention its support for nearly $1 billion in federal subsidies for “international education” appropriations.

We are told that “international students” pay their way, but that’s not actually true.

In 2023, around 20% (or 207,788) of foreign students benefited from university subsidies, 1,684 foreign students were funded by the U.S. government and 2,351 by other domestic sponsors.

Only 56.8% of foreign students were mostly using their or family money to pay their way.

(Federal student aid is also extended to ‘refugees’, Afghans, Ukrainians, Haitians and any number of other groups seen as distressed, also victims of human trafficking, children of foreign domestic abuse victims, and anyone who spends enough time complaining about their life.)

It’s hard to track exactly how much student aid is going to foreign nationals, but it very likely outweighs the very limited impact of foreign student spending on the broader economy outside of a few college towns in Boston, D.C. and a handful of big cities in California and New York.

What is painfully clear is that the costs of foreign students, whether it’s 9/11, the Hamas campus riots, Obama administration, a hypothetical Kamala administration or Chinese intellectual property theft far outweighs whatever limited benefits they provide to anyone outside Harvard, Yale, Columbia or Georgetown. America doesn’t need international students, colleges do.

And as has been obvious for a long time: what’s good for colleges, isn’t good for America.

American taxpayers subsidized wealthy nonprofit institutions. These institutions demand an unlimited flow of foreign students to further enhance their revenues. And these foreign students, whatever tuition they pay or don’t pay, are benefiting from taxpayer-subsidized institutions.

It’s a good deal for Harvard, but it’s not a very good deal for America.

The original idea of bringing foreign students to America was that they would learn about ‘democracy’ and our way of doing things, then go back to their countries imbued with the American spirit. This hasn’t worked very often because foreign students are usually members of foreign elites, like the Obamas or Kamala’s family, who despise America. Rather than teaching the rest of the world about America, we import foreign and domestic enemies into our country.

Foreign students haven’t Americanized the world, they’ve radicalized, Islamized and terrorized America. Many of those third world students who moved here undermined America and even those who went back home, returned with an insider’s understanding of our weaknesses.

And American campuses, in their current state, are hardly likely to do anything other than radicalize foreign students and teach them to hate America. The original purpose of the foreign students programs introduced under Eisenhower and Kennedy failed even as the number of foreign students shot up from 400,000 in the 1990s to over 1 million.

Instead of making America or the world, foreign students set up Muslim Brotherhood operations, Chinese spy organizations and radical groups calling for the destruction of America.

There’s a place for foreign students in America, but the Trump administration is right to closely scrutinize Chinese students and the social media of students from Islamic terrorist states like Saudi Arabia, Iran and Pakistan, while trying to cut back on the number of foreign students.

The truth is that America doesn’t need foreign students, foreign students need America.

Celebrating Sclerosis in California

May 30, 2025 by Dan Mitchell @ International Liberty

I’ve written many times about bad government policy in California (too many times to count), but I’ve only highlighted bad policy in Los Angeles four times over the past 16 years (here, here, here, and here).

But something caught my eye that demands attention. It involves how quickly the people who lost their homes in the Palisades Fire can rebuild.

As you can see from this tweet, the mayor of the city thinks the bureaucracy is beating expectations. If Mayor Bass is correct, then expectations must have been extremely low. Perhaps even zero. Why do I say that?

Because the fires occurred in early January, destroying more than 12,000 structures, and only 11 permits have been issued for rebuilding. Not 1,100, just 11.  This tweet summarizes the sloth-like permitting process in Los Angeles.

To be fair, maybe Mayor Bass is comparing Los Angeles to Maui in Hawaii, which is another place where government red tape is hindering the rebuilding process.

I’ll make two observations.

  1. At the risk of sounding overly libertarian, why should homeowners need to get a permit before they sign a contract with a builder to put a house on their own land? Are there any downsides to this laissez-faire approach?
  2. If there are going to be permits, there should be a time-limit rule stating that all house plans are automatically approved if bureaucrats don’t identify a specific problem within a very shot period of time such as five business days.

I’ll conclude by noting that Mayor Bass’ tweet is the regulatory version of “defining deviancy down,” which was the title of a 1993 article by former Senator Patrick Moynihan, in which he explained the unfortunate tendency of some societies to redefine norms to accommodate dysfunctional behavior.

If approving permits for 11 homes more than four months after the fire is a success, norms have definitely eroded. I’d hate to see Mayor Bass’ definition of failure.

P.S. Here’s the column I wrote about the fiscal version of defining deviancy down

Legitimate Scope Of Judicial Restraints On Presidential Power -- Trump Tariffs Edition

In my last post a couple of days ago (May 28), I was critical of the blizzard of injunctions issued by the courts against seemingly every policy change that President Trump seeks to implement. I went so far as to call this the “opposite of democracy.” But I also noted that there are instances where judicial restraints on the executive are legitimate, most notably where the statute on which the President relies to implement a sweeping policy does not in fact grant him the authority he claims. Thus, on finding a lack of grant of authority in the statutes cited, the Supreme Court had reined in President Biden when he sought to implement policies forgiving student loans and banning fossil fuel power plants.

I ended that article by asking whether President Trump’s actions with regard to imposition of tariffs may fall into the same category of overreach as Biden’s student loan and power plant gambits. I also noted that multiple law suits had already been brought challenging the legal basis for the tariffs unilaterally imposed by the President.

It turns out that even as I was getting ready to post that essay, two different courts were about to issue thorough opinions analyzing exactly the issue of whether President Trump had sufficient statutory authority for his extensive imposition of tariffs over the past couple of months. Both concluded that he does not have such authority.

After now reading both those decisions carefully, and also reading the underlying statutes, I think that the courts are very likely correct on the question of President Trump’s lack of authority to impose tariffs unilaterally, at least in most instances where he has done so.

The two just-issued decisions are this one from the Court of International Trade, in the case of V.O.S. Selections, Inc. v. United States, issued on the evening of May 28; and this one from Judge Rudolph Contreras of the District Court for the District of Columbia, in the case of Learning Resources, Inc., v. Donald J. Trump, issued the next day, May 29.

The two decisions are not short (33 pages from the D.C. District Court and 49 from the Court of International Trade), but both get quickly to the main issue: Does the language of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977 (IEEPA) grant the President the power to impose and change tariffs on his unilateral authority when he has declared a “national emergency”? The CIT quotes the relevant language of the IEEPA as follows (page 9 of their opinion):

The President may . . . (B) investigate, block during the pendency of an investigation, regulate, direct and compel, nullify, void, prevent or prohibit, any acquisition, holding, withholding, use, transfer, withdrawal, transportation, importation or exportation of, or dealing in, or exercising any right, power, or privilege with respect to, or transactions involving, any property in which any foreign country or a national thereof has any interest by any person, or with respect to any property, subject to the jurisdiction of the United States . . . .

(Emphasis added.) Basically, Trump’s position comes down to saying that the power granted under that provision to “regulate” the “importation” of “property” includes the power to impose tariffs. But does the power to “regulate” include the power to tax, and in unlimited amounts? From Judge Contreras’s decision in the DC District Court, page 18:

IEEPA does not use the words “tariffs” or “duties,” their synonyms, or any similar terms like “customs,” “taxes,” or “imposts.” . . . There is no residual clause granting the President powers beyond those expressly listed. The only activity in the [relevant section of the IEEPA] that could plausibly encompass the power to levy tariffs is that to “regulate . . . importation.” . . . The Court agrees with Plaintiffs that the power to regulate is not the power to tax.

From the CIT opinion, page 26:

Plaintiffs are correct in the narrow sense that the imprecise term “regulate . . . importation,” under any construction that would comport with the separation-of-powers underpinnings of the nondelegation and major questions doctrines, does not authorize anything as unbounded as the Worldwide and Retaliatory Tariffs.

This does not look to me like a close question. Trump’s position is very weak. This is a very poor hill for him to choose to die on, and I hope that he will come to his senses soon (although that is not his usual method of operation).

In a post on Truth Social on May 29, Trump criticized the Court of International Trade, saying “The U.S. Court of International Trade incredibly ruled against the United States of America on desperately needed Tariffs . . . .” Whether or not the tariffs are “desperately needed,” that is not a legal argument for the President having unilateral authority to impose them.

The CIT does distinguish certain of the Trump tariffs, particularly those on steel and aluminum, from the bulk of them, which are included in its terms “Worldwide and Retaliatory Tariffs.” As to the steel and aluminum tariffs, the CIT finds authority for Trump’s actions under other statutes.

An interesting question is where these cases go from here. In both the DC District Court and the CIT, the plaintiffs asked alternatively for a preliminary injunction or summary judgment, that is, final judgment on the merits of the case. In the CIT case, the court granted summary judgment and denied the motion for preliminary injunctions as moot. In other words, that case is over, and Trump has lost. Normally, that would mean that the case would go on to the appeal process in the ordinary course, without the claims of emergency and expedited time schedules that have characterized many of the preliminary injunctions issued by other courts against Trump’s policies. However, it appears that the government sought an emergency stay from the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, which was granted yesterday, at least through June 9.

Over in the D.C. District Court case, Judge Contreras granted a preliminary injunction, but issued a 14 day stay for the government to seek relief at the appellate level. Between the two cases, something is going to be happening quickly at the appellate level.

One way of looking at this situation is that these cases give the Supreme Court a clear instance where they can and should rule against the President’s actions. That may help give them the fortitude to rule in his favor in other cases where his actions are appropriate within his authority.

P&D and the Week That Was

Truth is the Sublime Convergence of History and Reality

De Omnibus Dubitandum, (Everything is to be questioned!)

This Link will take you to My Commentaries.

By Rich Kozlovich

Back in June of 2024, there was a lot concern that if Trump was re-elected, a lot of DOJ and  FBI folks feared they'd end up in jail.  Well, the evidence is mounting that justified those fears.

James Comey has been all over the leftist media making his threat to have trump killed out to be a big joke, and they all just have a good time chucking and looking down their self righteous noses at Trump.  Well, the fact is, Comey is considered by a lot of people, including me, to be an unindicted criminal.  But that might soon change.    There's been an explosion over at the FBI.  It turns out they've discovered a secret evidence room that's:

"..........filled with bags of mishandled and concealed evidence has been discovered deep within the FBI, and it all traces back to the tenure of former FBI Director James Comey.".......... "His secret stash of untold horrors is about to be exposed, and it’s ugly"....."Wait 'til you read this stuff that’s coming out, You’re going to be stunned” “This isn’t just a filing error or a bureaucratic oversight,” Bongino declared. “We found bags of evidence, intentionally stashed and kept away from the public eye, the courts, and even internal investigations.”.............“This wasn’t incompetence...this was intentional”

All this information is classified and will have to go through the declassification process, and that will take weeks but according to Bongino:

“Once we’re able to release what we’ve found,” “the American people are going to have questions, big questions, about who was running the show, what was being hidden, and why.” "Legal experts are already weighing in on what could be an explosive development. If the materials reveal criminal misconduct or obstruction of justice, charges could potentially be filed, even against a former FBI director."

The FBI has been out of control going "full banana republic", and doing so for years, much of that pointing back to Obama and Eric Holder, but the Biden administration took it to a higher level of corruption, and the purge isn't happening fast enough.  The Obama cabal absolutely politicized all the intelligence agencies, including the FBI.

  1. Project Veritas’s James O’Keefe is Not the Only Conservative Wrongly Targeted by the Feds Recently
  2. Amid bias rebuke, FBI raids homes of GOP election clerk, conservative activists in Colorado
  3. FBI raids home of mom who protested school board - An FBI SWAT team raided the home of an activist mother of four in Colorado on Tuesday, Nov. 16, knocking down her door, bursting into the house with guns and handcuffing her while she was homeschooling her children......

Who's more dangerous to the Republic?  The Russians, the Chinese, or perhaps it's America's intelligence agencies in Washington?  These are the same people who branded half of the population of America as domestic terrorists, especially those Catholics who want a return to Latin mass.  You can see how dangerous that is to America ..... right?

  1. As Monica Showalter reported in April of 2023, the FBI was infiltrating Catholic Churches, investigating “Radical Traditional Catholics.” What made them radical, a threat worthy of the time and energy of the FBI? They like the Latin Mass. No doubt a distinction ferreted out by “experts.” FBI Director Christoper Wray professed shock—it was only one field office—and promised the investigation was shut down, until he had to admit it was several field offices, and maybe it really wasn’t so shut down after all......
  2. ORGANIZED EVIL: Newly Released Documents Reveal MULTIPLE FBI Offices Across the Nation Were Colluding to Target Traditional Catholics as Domestic Terrorists
  3. Biden Govt Used J6 & Mar-a-Lago Raid To Justify MORE Spying on Political Opponents
  4. Rogue FBI Agents Are “Opting Out” of Deportation Raids, Leaving ICE “Stranded”

There's been all this talk about how bad the conditions are at the J. Edgar Hoover FBI's headquarters building, and want a new building, and at some point they're going to get it, but in the meanwhile Trump is lessening that need by transferring a whole lot of the FBI headquarters staff all over the country.

There was, at least in my opinion, more than enough evidence to justify forming a massive all encompassing RICO investigation dealing with the FBI, CIA, NSA, appointed officials of the federal government, and elected members of Congress.  If this "secret evidence" turns into a nuclear explosion of criminal behavior, I don't see how that can be avoided.

Then we have the third American rebellion from the federal judiciary, with the latest, which Trump won on appeal:

Three Judges Blocking Trump’s Tariffs Have Decades-Long Histories of Democrat Activism -The judges on the U.S. Court of International Trade who ruled that President Donald Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs are illegal have a history of Democrat Party activism. Each of the members of the three-judge panel issuing the Wednesday ruling – which was stayed Thursday by an appeals court, allowing the tariffs to continue – fit the profile of other activists judges who continued their political activism after joining the court...Notably, Reif never registered for the selective service, according to his questionnaire. .....

The history of these judges demonstrates they're nothing more than political hacks, and I looked it up, it turns out failing to register with the Selective Service is a crime in the United States:

"a felony punishable by fines and/or imprisonment, according to the Selective Service System. Specifically, failure to register with Selective Service is a violation of the Military Selective Service Act, and conviction can result in up to five years in prison and/or a fine of up to $250,000."

By his own written admission he's committed a crime.  Why hasn't be been arrested?  After all, no one is above the law.

Then there's  Wisconsin Activist Judge Hannah Dugan Claims ‘Absolute Immunity’ Against ‘Ugly’ DOJ Charges.  She's doubling down on here "immunity" defense, claiming what she did was among her offical acts, and this "indictment violates both constitutional protections and judicial independence...... and .....her legal team also invoked the Tenth Amendment and the constitutional separation of powers".

Amazing how they can fall in love with the Constitution when it suits them.  But to me, this is the sound of desperation.  We're expected to believe hiding and deliberately helping a criminals to escape arrest from federal law enforcement officials is now falls under the category of official  duties for the judiciary?   Even in Wisconsin that's nuts.  And once again, her defense condemns her, since she's in effect saying she did exactly what the prosecutors said she did.

As for global warming, as an 40 year veteran of the structural pest control industry I pay attention to weather patterns because the weather impacts our profitability, and I have to say, this must be the coldest spring I've seen here in Northern Ohio in all those 4o years, and reminds me of English weather.

I watch the English gardens shows, the Brits are nuts over gardens, and as a result, this English weather has been great for my plants, my ferns are taller than ever, and I keep expanding my flower gardens.  This year I have a new shade garden, a new border garden, and reworked my front garden, and will expand that this year as I've ordered some new plants, including a tricolor butterfly plant, four of them actually.  As for my veggies....not so much... they love heat.

These last couple of weeks I haven't really been able to get my head into things, and today, I only have five offerings.  Weak ones at that in my view, and they were a struggle.  However, there are thirty really good pieces by seventeen authors you should find compelling.

Spring is here, have a great weekend, and always remember warm memories never wear out their welcome in our lives.  Extend yourself, reach out to others, especially your family, and create as many warm memories as you can.

Best wishes to all those of good heart.
