Did Obama Try to “Hush” Rev. Wright for $150,000? — Updated

Did Rev. Wright get any USAID money?

By Susan Daniels Apr 25, 2025 @ Susan's Newsletter

Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who performed the marriage of Barack and Michelle Obama and were members of his church, Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC), for twenty years, became persona non grata to the Obamas in 2008. He was capable of collapsing the candidacy of the shady Obama against the evil Hillary Clinton.

Rev. Wright came under fire when he said of the 9/11 attack that “American’s chickens were coming home to roost.” But his vitriolic sermons were his stock in trade long before then and Obama was afraid it would affect his 2008 run against Clinton.

Ed Klein interviewed Barack Obama’s Chicago pastor for his book The Amateur, and according to the New York Post (May 13, 2009), Wright told Klein: “After the media went ballistic on me, I received an e-mail offering me money not to preach at all until the November presidential election.”

“Who sent the e-mail?” (Klein) asked.

“It was from one of Barack’s closest friends.”

“He offered you money?”

“Not directly,” Wright said. “He sent the offer to one of the members of the church, who sent it to me.”

“How much money did he offer you?”

“One hundred and fifty thousand dollars,” Wright said.

“Did Obama himself ever make an effort to see you?”

“Yes,” Wright said. “Barack said he wanted to meet me in secret, in a secure place. And I said, ‘You’re used to coming to my home, you’ve been here countless times, so what’s wrong with coming to my home?’ So we met in the living room of the parsonage of Trinity United Church of Christ, at South Pleasant Avenue right off 95th Street, just Barack and me. I don’t know if he had a wire on him. His security was outside somewhere.

“And one of the first things Barack said was, ‘I really wish you wouldn’t do any more public speaking until after the November election.’ He knew I had some speaking engagements lined up, and he said, ‘I wish you wouldn’t speak. It’s gonna hurt the campaign if you do that.’

“And what did you say?” (Klein) asked. “I said, ‘I don’t see it that way. And anyway, how am I supposed to support my family?’ And he said, ‘Well, I wish you wouldn’t speak in public. The press is gonna eat you alive.’

“Barack said, ‘I’m sorry you don’t see it the way I do. Do you know what your problem is?’ And I said, ‘No, what’s my problem?’ And he said, ‘You have to tell the truth.’ I said, ‘That’s a good problem to have. That’s a good problem for all preachers to have. That’s why I could never be a politician.’

“And he said, ‘It’s going to get worse if you go out there and speak. It’s really going to get worse.’  “And he was so right.”

Wright’s church had a reputation of finding “beards” for gay men wanting an appearance of normalcy. Obama, who had Wright officiate at his 1993 wedding to Michelle, was in a gay relationship in 2007 with the choirmaster at TUCC, Donald Young. Young made the mistake of letting others know about their relationship.

On December 23, 2007, as Obama’s campaign for president was ramping up, Young was murdered execution style in his Chicago apartment. Three thousand mourners attended his funeral; Obama was not one of them. Two other gay friends of Obama and members of the church died during the last six weeks of 2007. Larry Bland was also executed and Nate Spencer died of AIDS.

Wright wisely retired in 2008 and what a retirement he got.  Wright moved into a 10,340 square-foot $1.6 million house in Tinley Park, IL, which was less than 2% black. Although a racist, he didn’t mind living among whites. His church paid for it and gave Wright a $10 million line of credit.

Wright already owned the property. He bought it in 2004 for $345,000. He sold it to TUCC for $308,000 in 2006. Those proceeds went into a living trust for him and his wife. So did he sell the property to himself?

While Obama gave the illusion that he had distanced himself from Wright, he only somewhat did. Obama said: “In sum, I reject outright the statements by the Reverend Wright that are at issue.”

In the Huffington Post, Obama said:

“Most importantly, The Reverend Wright preached the gospel of Jesus, a gospel on which I base my life. In other words, he has never been my political advisor; he's been my pastor. And the sermons I heard him preach always related to our obligation to love God and one another, to work on behalf of the poor, and to seek justice at every turn.”

Don’t laugh, Obama actually said that. He left out the part where Jesus was going to try to divide the country racially and return it to the ‘60s.

What is interesting about the house for Wright is that the church took out the mortgage in 2006 to build the house and managed to pay it off four years later. Where does a church get enough money to pay off an expensive house and set up a $10 million line of credit for its former pastor? It all took place under the Obama administration. Should DOGE look into any payments made circuitously to the church by USAID?

Wright was a strong proponent of Louis Farrakhan, the head of the radical Nation of Islam, and groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League have defamed him. He is anti-semantic and hates whites.

From The New Yorker by Vinson Cunningham (January 28, 2018) “Farrakhan is the author of vile, uncountable, unreconstructed, cause-derailing anti-Semitic slurs, but his Million Man March made him and the Nation a stubborn, unignorable feature of the political landscape for black would-be public servants who came of age in the nineteen-nineties.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DUabvZ9UMAAFPPX.jpg
Obama’s early career in Chicago was, in part, an exercise in performing an “authentic” blackness that opponents like the former Black Panther and current congressman Bobby Rush, who dealt Obama his first and only electoral defeat, in 2000, insisted he lacked. So he’s no exception to Farrakhan-induced headaches: Obama attended the March, and spent time during the 2008 campaign playing down an unwanted and wildly unhelpful endorsement from Farrakhan.”

Cunningham talks about the photo taken in 2005 by Askia Muhammad of Sen. Obama and Louis Farrakhan that was hidden for thirteen years which could have derailed Obama’s campaign.

Liberal lawyer and lifetime Democrat Alan Dershowitz said he never would have campaigned for Obama had he seen him with Farrakhan.

How a Former Afghan Jihadist Began Covering Trump for the Voice of America

By Daniel Greenfield @ Sultan Knish Blog

In 2017, the Voice of America attacked President Trump's travel ban on Muslim terrorist countries. What the VOA did not tell viewers was that its 'reporter' was a former Jihadist.

In the 1980s, Masood Farivar, an Afghan Muslim, now a senior analyst at the government’s Voice of America media organization, had joined Jihadist groups in Afghanistan whose members included Taliban leaders and which had worked with Al Qaeda. Farivar’s Jihadi comrades included Awal Gul: the Taliban commander locked up in Gitmo after being paid $100,000 by Bin Laden to help him escape.

Farivar has since mourned Awal Gul wondering "how many other Awalguls languish in Gitmo."

But over the last eight years, Farivar had a new enemy, cranking out dozens of articles for the VOA with titles like, "Can Trump Be Indicted for Obstruction of Justice?", "Has Trump Done Enough to Fence Off His Business Interests?" and "Hush Money Troubles for Trump?"

The only thing more troubling than the VOA, which operates under the U.S. government, waging a sustained campaign against the president was the man whose name appeared on its articles.

In his memoir, 'Confessions of a Mullah Warrior', Farivar described being inspired by Yunus Khalis, Osama bin Laden's mentor, known as the Al Qaeda leader’s ‘Father Sheikh’, who welcomed him to Afghanistan, and whose Hezb-i Islami Khalis would fight alongside Al Qaeda against American forces in Afghanistan after the Muslim terrorist attacks of September 11.

The Voice of America senior analyst described the Al Qaeda ally as "deeply pious" with a "wry sense of humor" to whom "Jihad was a means to liberate Afghanistan" whose "message while simple and straightforward reasoned with me deeply." Before long, Farivar was fighting for the Jihadist group in Afghanistan alongside “Arab volunteers” shouting “Allahu Akbar”.

How did a former Jihadist go from the battlefields of Afghanistan to Washington D.C. and a bedroom community in Fairfax County filled with mosques and government employees, and from admiring Osama bin Laden’s mentor to working for a government media agency?

The answer lies in an old USAID-funded program that was supposed to train Jihadis in Afghanistan to become reporters. Instead it embedded the Jihadis into the media. Masood Farivar was one of a number of ex-Jihadis who went to work for the global media. Farivar’s presence at VOA is part of the larger story of another USAID project backfiring badly.

Rather than propagandizing in Afghanistan, Jihadi reporters spread propaganda in America..

When a Muslim terrorist drove a truck into a French crowd on Bastille Day, killing 86 and wounding over 400, Farivar responded with an article titled, ‘Learn to Live With Terrorism’ Strikes Some as Good Advice”. When Front Page Magazine covered the Hamas Oct 7 attacks, he wrote an article smearing us as an “anti-Muslim” hate group for telling the truth about Jihad.

In VOA articles, he contended that demographic replacement by Muslims was a "right-wing conspiracy theory" and that racists were responsible for most domestic terrorism. A VOA segment credited to Farivar included the claim that, "the level of involvement in violent extremism by Muslims in the United States is still quite low",

Last year, Farivar wrote a VOA analysis headlined, “The Hidden Cost Of Being Branded A Terrorist By The US Government” echoing claims from CAIR, a terror-linked organization which celebrated the attacks of Oct 7, that America was wrongly accusing Muslims of terrorism.

After pages of portraying his subject as an innocent man wrongly monitored by the government, Farivar finally revealed that he had actually been a supporter of an imam linked to a Jihadist group that had operated in Afghanistan and is currently affiliated with ISIS.

To what extent did Farivar’s past inform his contemporary coverage of Islamic terrorism?

As a teenager, Farivar described joining the Islamic Unity under Abdulrab Rasul Sayyaf, who invited Osama bin Laden to Afghanistan, and whose name would be adopted by the Abu Sayyaf terrorist group currently allied with ISIS, and then attended a Madrassa in Peshawar, Pakistan. While the name of the Madrassa is not given in his memoir, Farivar describes a speech by a sheikh calling them "the children of Jihad" who will be "participating in the Jihad".

Sayyaf had founded a Madrassa in Peshawar known as Dawa al-Jihad or the Call of Jihad attended by a number of future terrorists including World Trade Center bombers Ramzi Al-Yousef and Ahmed Ajaj. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of 9/11, taught there.

I reached out to Farivar to inquire if he had studied at the terrorist school, but got no answer.

The future VOA analyst returned to Afghanistan twice as a Jihadist. The second time he was fighting with Hezb-i Islami Khalis whose members included Taliban founder Mullah Omar, Mullah Mohammad Rabbani, the Taliban's prime minister, Mullah Mohammed Ghaus, the Taliban's future foreign minister, and other major Taliban leaders, and which has been at war with the U.S.

But Farivar’s career took a turn toward America due to another USAID program.

USAID provided funding to set up a Mujahadeen propaganda network known as the Afghan Media Resource Center. The terror media network, which reportedly required all personnel to “sacrifice for holy jihad”, operated under the auspices of the United States Information Agency (USIA): the parent organization of Voice of America.

Through his new role as a ‘journalist’, Farivar met Carlos Mavroleon, a Harvard graduate from a wealthy Greek shipping family who had converted to Islam and taken the name Karimullah, fighting as a Mujahadeen and playing journalist, before dying of a heroin overdose with a Koran on him during an assignment for CBS News. “In London I fought the Jihad with a pen. Now I fight it with a sword. I have come to Afghanistan to take part in the Jihad,” Carlos had bragged.

“Jihad with a pen” would prove crucial to the next stage of fighting the west from within.

Mavroleon and the head of USIA got Farivar into Harvard. "I got off the plane with my big Osama bin Laden beard, my Afghan rebel hat and traditional garb," he later recalled.

After graduating, he continued living in the U.S. without a green card although a “friend with CIA connections” later offered him one.

He returned to Afghanistan and met with Taliban's Minister of Culture Amir Khan Muttaqi, currently its foreign minister, to discuss starting a radio station.

In his memoir, Farivar alternately claims to deplore the Taliban, but also admits to liking “the peace that the Taliban had restored.” When he visited the Taliban leader, it was with "a letter of introduction from the representative of the Taliban" in New York and after having “met several Taliban ministers while they were touring the United States."

After 9/11, Farivar popped up in Afghanistan running a USAID funded “NPR-like network” while rejecting “American-funded ads to recruit for the Afghan Army or police”. He joked, “Sometimes my wife calls me the Taliban.” He told Harvard Magazine that, “there is some self-censorship, some lines you cannot cross. Islam is a subject that you cannot touch: you can’t piss off the mullahs, can’t offend people’s faith.”

Even while U.S. soldiers were fighting Farivar’s old comrades, the U.S. was funding a radio operation that appeared similar to the one that the ex-Jihadi had pitched to the Taliban and which was hostile to American efforts to militarily secure Afghanistan from the Jihadis..

Salam Watandar, the Afghan radio network Farivar ran, operated under the umbrella of the Internews Network, an European nonprofit media group funded by everyone from Bill Gates to USAID. From there, Farivar moved to the Voice of America where he transitioned from covering Afghanistan to covering the FBI and the Justice Department.

And Trump.

Obama had dismantled the firewall keeping the Voice of America from targeting Americans. And the former Jihadist became one of the vehicles for the VOA’s attacks on President Trump.

After the rise of Trump, Farivar switched from covering Afghanistan and the Muslim world for domestic coverage that attacked Trump, with articles like "Hate Crimes Surge After Trump Victory" and "Timeline: Trump's Involvements With Russia" others that promoted Islamist narratives "Most Terrorism Victims Are in Muslim Majority Countries" and "With Surge in Hate Crime, Muslims Seen 'Most Disdained' Minority" or even did both "How Muslim-Americans Drifted to the Democratic Party" and "Arab Opinion Poll Shows Support for Clinton".

After the Biden administration raided Mar-a-Lago, Masood Farivar was working the Justice Department, pressing for confirmation that Attorney General Merrick Garland was “experiencing an uptick in death threats” from Trump supporters.

The VOA, an arm of the government, was promoting Russiagate and unsubtly nudging voters to turn against Trump during three presidential elections in violation of its charter and mission. And the man behind some of these articles had been recruited by a related arm of the government back in the 1980s during his days as a Jihadist to engage in a war of propaganda.

Now that propaganda was being aimed within the United States against the president.

And it’s still going on.

A propaganda machine once aimed at America’s enemies is now run by our enemies and aimed at us. The story of Masood Farivar shows why the Voice of America needs urgent reform.

Farivar has at times sold himself as a fervent opponent of the Taliban and Al Qaeda, while at other times he appeared willing to collaborate with the Taliban. After 9/11, Farivar argued in his memoir that even though "radical mujahadeen often hated America as much as they hated the Soviet Union, but the jihad was fundamentally good."

Does America need a ‘good jihad’?

In describing his family history, Farivir wrote about the great Jihad against Kafiristan or "the land of infidels" that his family helped conduct against non-Muslims.

"The campaign to pacify Kafiristan was short-lived but violent," Farivir unselfconsciously wrote, describing non-Muslims as ‘infidels’ and bragging about how his ancestors murdered and raped them "When the jihad was over, some sixty thousand infidels had embraced Islam and pledged their allegiance to the amir. With the valley subdued, the amir dispatched an army of mullahs to instruct the converts in the ways of Islam. None other than my maternal great-grandfather, Jalilur Rahman Khan, led a troop of mullahs into the valley... my paternal great-grandfather, also involved in the campaign, took into marriage a young girl from the area. She was one of the many women who were taken as spoils of war from the region."

In the Islamic imagination, America, Europe and the rest of the world are the new ‘Kafiristan’. We are the infidel lands they have come to conquer. Our daughters and granddaughters are the women they hope their Jihadist offspring will be able to take as the spoils of war.

The Jihad may be fought with sword or pen, but its ultimate objective is to make America into Afghanistan. We pulled out of Afghanistan, now it’s time to pull Afghanistan out of America.

Big Media and USAID Backed Globalist Journalism Network

What the usual suspects – Soros, Gates, et al. – are up to now.

Big Media and USAID Backed Globalist Journalism Network

Another trip down the USAID money trail reveals astonishingly intimate big-box media ties to a global progressive establishment enterprise funded by taxpayer dollars. It raises the question: How can active participants in a politically biased Swamp spending spree be trusted to objectively “report” on the Department of Government Efficiency’s efforts to turn the cash spigot off?

Here’s a devastating quote that should tell you all you need to know:

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) “has supported [the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project] as a partner on grants from the [George Soros] Open Society Foundations and the US Agency for International Development [USAID] that focus on investigative reporting, technology development, and regional capacity building.”

This comes directly from the website of an organization that boasts of its multiple “partner networks” spanning the globe. “We are proud to be the premier journalism ‘network of networks,’” ICFJ declares. How ominous does that sound? This is what USAID and the US State Department have helped build.

Biden Media Buys?

“The Biden State Department initiated $19.1 million worth of new grants to nonprofits using the key words ‘journalist’ or ‘journalism,’” Parker Thayer at the Capital Research Center reported on Feb. 13. “A total of $6.2 million was awarded to the International Center for Journalists for a wide variety of programs. One $986,500 grant went toward combating ‘technology-facilitated gender-based violence’ against female reporters in India and Nepal.”

We’ll get to more flagrant examples of bias below. First, let’s see who joined USAID in propping up this Soros-affiliated global journalism entity.

NBC News Senior Vice President of Politics Carrie Budoff Brown chairs the Board of Directors for ICFJ. Politico‘s senior managing editor, Sudeep Reddy, is a board member.

A further glance at the board finds executives from the Associated Press, Bloomberg News, Google, Hearst Newspapers, Meta (parent company of Facebook), The New York Times, and media conglomerate Scripps Howard.

A list of 2024 “Friends and Supporters” of ICFJ includes the above media names along with CBS News, CNN, Dow Jones/News Corp (Rupert Murdoch, owner of Fox News, The New York Post, and The Wall Street Journal), and the Gannett Foundation (owners of USA Today and more than 200 US publications).

The (Bill) Gates Foundation is a top-tier donor. USAID and the US State Department are, of course, listed as supporting government agencies.

Cocktails Courtesy of Rupert Murdoch

Dow Jones/News Corp has been a repeat donor to ICFJ since at least 2018, the earliest year to have a detailed list on the group’s website. Why is Rupert Murdoch, the man who owns Dow Jones/News Corp and whose family controls Fox News, financially supporting the following in conjunction with Bill Gates, George Soros, and USAID?

“[President Donald] Trump has unleashed the worst hatred and has given force to racism and xenophobia,” Mexican reporter Carmen Aristegui stated in her address to the ICFJ as she accepted its 2016 Knight International Journalism Award. “He has opened the door to the worst demons. That is why the world is so frightened, and why we must use the tools of democracy and human rights to face the time that is approaching.”

Liberty Nation depends on the support of our readers.

Things haven’t gotten any better since then.

Look how cozy it all is. NBC News star anchor Kristen Welker hosted ICFJ’s 2024 awards gala. Mary Fitzgerald, director of Soros’ Open Society Foundations, and Dickens Olewe, program officer at the Gates Foundation, served as judges in selecting the awards alongside personnel from CBS News, CNN, The Miami Herald, the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, Politico CEO Goli Sheikholeslami, and Reuters Executive Editor Simon Robinson.

Dow Jones/News Corp served as the official “Cocktail Reception Sponsor” for the evening. You can’t make this stuff up.

It’s a tight-knit network, and it’s been running together for years. In 2017, ICFJ Vice President of Programs Patrick Butler served as official “rapporteur” – designated reporter – for a United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Symposium on “Hate Speech against Migrants and Refugees in the Media.” Soros agent Giulia Lagana, senior policy analyst of European Union Migration and Asylum Policies at the Open Society European Policy Institute, sat on the panel.

Kick Back and Ditch the Matrix

The topic under discussion? “Media and the Rise of Populism.”

“We live in a post-truth world,” Lagana asserted. “We live in a world where 55% of the British population think that the government is lying to them about the number of migrants in the country.”

Imagine faithfully “reporting” such nonsense in your official UN-appointed role. It makes a fine metaphor for what the dominant US media outlets financially backing ICFJ do every day.

Ethel Rosenberg and the Model UN

Michael D. Shaw Feb 22, 2025 @ Mike's Point of View

Ethel Rosenberg and her husband Julius were executed in 1953 for conspiracy to commit espionage. Julius was a key figure in a major spy ring, set up to pass secrets of the atomic bomb to the Soviets. While Ethel was certainly aware of what was going on, her role was limited compared to her husband’s.

Nonetheless, she was indicted to put pressure on Julius, to get him to give up more details of the conspiracy. Indeed, the government was willing to remove the death penalty, only if either of them were to provide more information. They both refused to cooperate. The Rosenbergs were ardent Communists, and believed that they were giving their lives for a great cause.

While the couple maintained their innocence, and were defended at the time by many “useful idiots,” documents from the Venona files, as well as KGB notebooks published by former KGB officer Alexander Vassiliev prove their involvement. Again, Ethel’s role was small. Even their sons now acknowledge that Julius was a spy, while their mother was a bit player, but argue that the death penalty was an overreaction.

The point here is that the term “Ethel Rosenberg” can be used to describe such a true believer that—even given the chance to save her life—would prefer to die for the cause, and leave her children orphans. Children, who were only adopted by Commie activist Abel Meeropol, as all her relatives refused to intervene.

The Model UN is a program that brings in students—starting in middle school and through college—“to cultivate skills and enrich their global affairs knowledge. UNA-USA is dedicated to empowering young Americans with tools and experiences that prepare them to be the next generation of global leaders.”

Typically, the program attracts high-achieving individuals, almost universally with a liberal point of view. These Model UN kids tend to be true believers, and for the most part retain their youthful political views forever—life experience be damned.

You can observe both the Ethel Rosenberg and Model UN stereotypes playing out in real time, as DOGE exposes the massive fraud in our federal government. Moreover, it is hard not to conclude that the entire purpose of many government programs is the opportunity to create graft—and what benefit might flow to the supposed recipients is mostly accidental.

  • Despite clear evidence of unimaginable fraud in USAID, the best you’ll get from the Ethel Rosenberg/Model UN crowd is a half-hearted acknowledgement of waste (which “always occurs”) but any real efforts to stem this is “fascist,” promoting a “constitutional crisis.”
  • Foes on the Left are quick to complain about Elon Musk and his team being “unelected,” while failing to acknowledge the hundreds of thousands of other unelected bureaucrats who have been part of federal government for more than 100 years.
  • The ER/MUN cohort does not seem to care a bit about ungodly Treasury outlays, and somehow argue that the Chief Executive should not have access to audit the gigantic cash outflow. They’re cool with the Treasury essentially putting everything on auto pay.
  • If these phonies really were concerned with social welfare and their countless causes du jour, they should welcome the audits—as it would free up money for more social causes, right? Only, they’re not. What does that tell you?

We can also use our old friend: Inductive reasoning.

Going back only to LBJ’s Great Society, we observe that trillions of dollars have been spent on myriad social causes, and yet…

  • Poverty and malnutrition still exist
  • Reading and writing skills have deteriorated, not improved
  • Politicians earning $200K per year can have a net worth of $80 million or more
  • Despite a virtually unlimited military budget, we have not won a war since 1945
  • Untold thousands of NGOs and consultants have flourished on your tax dollars
  • In the face of uncontrolled expenditure, America’s health is not great

You get the idea. As to NGOs, the current notion of a “non-governmental organization” is a misnomer these days, since so many of them are completely supported by government money. As to health, WAAAY too much money is going toward what is sardonically called “white man’s welfare,” in the form of pointless grants to academic medicine.

SO…use your best inductive reasoning, and ask yourselves what we got for all these federal expenditures—based on your overtaxed dollars. That’s why DOGE’s forced day of reckoning scares so many corrupt insiders.

Did USAID Help Pay for the 9/11 Attack?

By Susan Daniels Feb 16, 2025 @ Susan’s Newsletter

If you think that the government wouldn’t kill Americans, consider what has been uncovered recently about how USAID spent money since its inception. In 1961, President John F. Kennedy intended his organization to administer foreign aid and development. Instead, it became a political slush fund that included our enemies.

America lost its taste for war after more than 58,000 Americans were killed in the Vietnam War. But wars make money, and the impetus to convince Americans to go to war has to be significant, and what was more compelling than the 9/11 attack.

After the hijacked planes hit the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and crashed in Shanksville, PA, President George W. Bush ordered all planes to land. Within 3 1/2 hours the skies were empty and stayed they way for two days, with one exception.

On the morning of 9/12, a private plane left Boston carrying Saudi royals home to Saudi Arabia. This did not surprise anyone familiar with the long relationship between the Saudis and the Bush family. In fact, Saudi Arabia donated $10 million to construct George H.W. Bush’s $43 million presidential library in 1997.

It was uncovered that fifteen of the nineteen hijackers were Saudis, two were from the UAE, one was from Egypt, and one was from Jordan. But Bush and his Vice President, Dick Cheney, didn’t incite the country to go to war against Saudi Arabia. Instead, they attacked Iraq over Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction, which turned out to be a hoax.

Despite no Iraqis attacking our country in airplanes, that’s where Bush sent our troops even though the Bush administration knew when, where, and how the 9/11 attack was going to happen:

Paul Joseph Watson’s book “Order Out of Chaos” said that the government had previously been alerted that there were going to be attacks on American soil and that airplanes were going to be used as the weapons.

In a section called “Warnings on the Eve of the Attack,” Watson writes: “Newsweek twice reported that top Pentagon officials had got a warning of the impending attack on September 10th and cancelled their flights for the next day. This confirms that these officials knew both the locations of the imminent attack and the method of using jetliners as bombs.”

From Rense: “June 2001 - German intelligence, the BND, warns the CIA and Israel that Middle Eastern terrorists are ‘planning to hijack commercial aircraft to use as weapons to attack important symbols of American and Israeli culture.’ (Source: Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung)” and “Summer 2001” — An Iranian man phoned U.S. law enforcement to warn of an imminent attack on the World Trade Center in the week of September 9th.

“German police confirm the calls but state that the U.S. Secret Service would not reveal any further information.”

The attack took extensive planning, and an estimated $400,00-$500-000 was paid by Al-Qaeda. The terrorists paid for the flight schools and living expenses of Mohamed Atta, the Egyptian ringleader, and the others. Al-Qaeda was funded by USAID:

'USAID Funding ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Boko Haram': Big Storm Strikes Congress

The military-industrial complex made $120 billion dollars from the Middle East war and one of the big winners was a spin off company from Dick Cheney’s company Halliburton. The new entity, KBR in Texas, received $39.5 billion in contracts without competing bids. The Pentagon cannot account for another $60 billion of that money.

But no one should be surprised that Bush did not go after the Saudis.

 https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fc30ce195-899c-4490-9dac-e450644abf3b_724x980.png

In his 2004 book, House of Bush, House of Saud, Craig Unger asserts: “… the groundwork for today's terrorist movements and the modern wars that have sprung up about them was unintentionally laid more than 30 years ago with a series of business deals between the ruling Saudis and the powerful Bush family. The Saudis received investments and military protection in exchange for cooperation on lucrative oil deals.”

The author claims that the result has been a shady alliance between "the world's two most

powerful dynasties." Unger writes, "Never before has an American president been so closely tied to a foreign power that harbors and supports our country's mortal enemies.”

Bush’s grandfather, Prescott Bush, was not the least bit circumspect about making his money with the Nazis. A 2004 article in The Guardian claimed:

“George Bush's grandfather, the late US senator Prescott Bush, was a director and shareholder of companies that profited from their involvement with the financial backers of Nazi Germany.... His business dealings, which continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act….......But the new documents, many of which were only declassified last year (2003), show that even after America had entered the war and when there was already significant information about the Nazis' plans and policies, (Prescott Bush) worked for and profited from companies closely involved with the very German businesses that financed Hitler's rise to power. It has also been suggested that the money he made from these dealings helped to establish the Bush family fortune and set up its political dynasty.”

Prescott Bush is on the far right

So now that we know how corrupt USAID was and how it financed Al-Qaeda, and how unethical the Bush family is, is it so hard to believe that our government helped finance the 9/11 attack?

Three thousand people died on 9/11. If the attackers hit the towers one hour later, there would have been 50,000 people working. Was 3,000 an acceptable number of people to kill to get us into an unnecessary war that we did not win but which made people rich?

The Department of the Navy announced in January that a future aircraft carrier will be named the USS George W. Bush. It appears we should be naming a cemetery after him instead.

How Much Of This Has Been Paid For By The U.S. Taxpayer?

@ Manhattan Contrarian

Elon Musk and the DOGE crew are now a few weeks into their work, and the examples of brazen waste, fraud, and misuse of taxpayer funds are exploding forth like a gusher.

At the first agency targeted, USAID, an early revelation was that much of the left-wing press has been quietly underwritten by the taxpayers in the form of hundreds of phony premium-priced subscriptions to such outlets as The New York Times, Associated Press, Politico, and Reuters. On February 5, the White House put out a document titled “At USAID, Waste and Abuse Runs Deep,” listing a dozen or so categories of abusive payments, including Millions to EcoHealth Alliance — which was involved in research at the Wuhan lab . . . Hundreds of thousands of meals that went to al Qaeda-affiliated fighters in Syria . . . Hundreds of millions of dollars to fund . . . the unprecedented poppy cultivation and heroin production in Afghanistan, benefiting the Taliban. . . .”

These are just examples. What other pet causes and activities of the Left have been getting paid for by USAID, and more broadly, by other various federal agencies?

A notable aspect of the past few weeks is that the shutting down of some of the federal money spigot funding the Left has been accompanied by the drying up of many of the notable activities of recent years. Could it be that many of these activities have been funded by the American taxpayers? Here are some examples where I would like to know how much has been paid for by the U.S. taxpayer:

Migrant caravans. We have been treated to extensive reporting of caravans of thousands of people trekking north from South America, through Central America and Mexico to the U.S. border. These treks take weeks. During that time, the people appear to be well fed. They seem to have camping supplies and equipment that magically appear for them to sleep at night. The cost of organizing one of these caravans and feeding and supplying it has to run into the many millions of dollars. Suddenly with USAID disrupted, the caravans have melted away. Who was putting up the money for these caravans? Did much of it come from the U.S. taxpayer?

Services in the U.S. to illegal aliens. Services provided to illegal aliens once in the U.S. can vary greatly from place to place, but can include everything from food to shelter to medical care to help finding a permanent home. Many to most illegal aliens also seem to have access to legal advice on how to avoid getting deported or how to present a claim for asylum. How much of all of this gets funded by the federal taxpayer? As another gigantic example, illegal aliens are supposedly not eligible for Medicaid and other federal medical assistance. Does anybody think that the Biden administration actually enforced this rule? How many illegal aliens in fact are receiving federally-funded medical care?

DEI. Over the past few years, a whole infrastructure of “diversity, equity and inclusion” stuff has been put together — staffs in every business and school, training programs, curricula, books, etc., etc. Who has been paying for this, particularly in the education sector? On February 11, Fox News here reported that DOGE had found and cut some $100 million of spending in the Department of Education directed toward DEI training programs in public schools. That is a start, but clearly is just a tiny piece of total spending on DEI. How much have the federal taxpayers been spending to support this propaganda?

Climate alarm. As with DEI, schools are filled with an infrastructure of climate alarm propaganda, ranging from staff training to curricula to textbooks and more. How much is the federal government spending on this?

Those are just a few categories that occur to me today. The funding model of agencies like USAID appears to be to make multi-million dollar grants to left-wing NGOs for high-minded sounding topics like “promoting democracy,” and then the NGOs spend the money as they see fit. It would not surprise me at all if we start to learn that things like Antifa and Black Lives Matter got large amounts of back-door funding that originated with the federal taxpayer. And how about the wave of anti-semitic demonstrations and riots that broke out on U.S. campuses in the aftermath of the massacre of October 7, 2023? Was federal taxpayer money involved in supporting that? I would actually be surprised if it wasn’t.

USAID Sent $9.3B to Islamic Terror States That Killed 3,000 American Soldiers

And over $18 billion to Islamic terrorist

By @ Sultan Knish Blog

“It is really, really a sad day in America,” Rep. Ilhan Omar declared at a rally protesting the reconstruction of USAID.

It wasn’t a sad day for America, but it was so for Somalia.

Over the last two years, USAID doled out $2.3 billion in “humanitarian assistance” to Omar’s native Somalia. Last year it reported a request for $1.6 billion in aid and even in December 2024, with the Biden administration on the way out the door, it sent an additional $29 million.

USAID support for Somalia had doubled under the Biden administration and with $3.3 billion from USAID allocated in the last 5 years. the threatened withdrawal of funding must have been a painful blow for Omar, who is very close to the Somali regime. Former Somali Prime Minister Hassan Khaire had stated “the interest of Ilhan are not Ilhan’s, it’s not the interest of Minnesota, nor is it the interest of the American people, the interest of Ilhan is that of the Somalian people and Somalia.”

Somalia, along with other Islamic terrorist entities, including the Taliban in Afghanistan, the Houthis in Yemen, and Hamas in Gaza, were among the top beneficiaries of USAID cash.

USAID sent $2.1 billion to Gaza and the West Bank since the Hamas attacks of Oct 7. In 2024 alone, $917 million was programmed for the terrorist areas occupying Israel.

USAID provided over $3.7 billion to Afghanistan since the Taliban took over with $832 million in the previous fiscal year alone. The money was so unaccountable that USAID refused to cooperate with SIGAR: the government watchdog tracking spending in Afghanistan intent on blocking money from aiding terrorists.

Even while the United States of America was at war with the Houthis, the Islamic terrorist group firing on US Navy vessels out of Yemen, USAID continued to direct billions of dollars to Yemen. In 2024, USAID announced a $2.7 billion aid request for Yemen and allocated $753 million. Over the last 5 years, it doled out $3.4 billion.

Other Islamic terrorist states that have heavily drawn on USAID include Pakistan which harbored Osama bin Laden, but benefited from $600 million in the last 5 years. While some American towns and cities lacked clean drinking water, USAID labored to build plants for Pakistan’s majority Muslim population even while it engaged in the persecution of Christians.

USAID spent over $700 million on Iraq during the last 5 years even though the country has long since been governed by Iranian puppets whose militias have been firing on American soldiers.

$3.4 billion was directed to Syria over the past 5 years by USAID even as it was caught in a civil war between Shiite Islamists aligned with Iran and Sunni Islamists aligned with Al Qaeda.

USAID allocated $1.1 billion to spend on Lebanon even as the country was run by Hezbollah.

While USAID is unable to function in Iran, between Yemen, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq, over $8 billion was sent to Iranian puppet regimes aligned with terrorism.

USAID had spent some $18.5 billion on Islamic terror states over those 5 years.

This is not a full list of USAID spending in Muslim countries, but only those countries whose governments are closely interlinked with terrorists, sponsor terrorist groups or serve as puppets of terror groups and states. Some of these countries are actively in conflict with the U.S. They include countries responsible for the murder of American soldiers and terror attacks in America.

USAID has sent $9.3 billion to Islamic terror states collectively responsible for killing over 3,000 American soldiers. Not only did Islamic terrorist states and groups kill us, but in the ultimate obscenity, we have rewarded them with millions of dollars for each of our murdered soldiers.

The reconstruction of USAID under the full umbrella of the State Department rather than as a ‘super-NGO’ advancing anti-American interests across the globe has been met with outrage by critics claiming that foreign aid advances our national security.

But is sending $18 billion to Islamic terror states really helping our national security.

USAID has provided massive amounts of funding for the UN and NGO ‘non-profits’ which operate inside terrorist areas with little to no oversight. Special exemptions have been handed out to allow distributors of ‘humanitarian aid’ to partner with and do business with terrorists.

Including some of the Islamic terrorist groups that America is still at war with.

USAID’s partnerships with foreign governments, and with large unaccountable organizations including the UN and the World Bank, have raised concerns of money laundering. The revolving door between USAID personnel and some of the non-profit and for-profit groups who all profit from it has also raised questions about the legitimacy of those arrangements. And USAID’s active efforts to deny information about its activities to SIGAR, the U.S. government’s Afghan war watchdog, as well as to the incoming Trump administration, makes it a rogue agency.

It may never be fully known how much of our foreign aid went into the pockets of Islamic terrorists, but the USAID freeze and consolidation under the State Department can help make sure that the aid pipeline stops being a way to fund the Islamic terrorists killing Americans.

Secretary of State Rubio Takes the Reins at Secretive USAID

When delegation just won't cut it.

As Secretary of State Marco Rubio wrapped up his first diplomatic travels, he quickly found himself with some expanded responsibilities. Rubio made news with negotiations in Panama, but then he announced the new interim director for the suddenly controversial US Agency for International Development (USAID). The chief US foreign policy leader has decided that if the United States wants its aid to be distributed in a manner consistent with US foreign policy, he would do it himself.

Numerous secretaries of state and presidents have tried to get the USAID under control, but with President Donald Trump at the helm and the chief foreign policy executive leading the charge, the agency may finally be managed in a way more consistent with America’s international development objectives.

Rubio Will Manage and Direct USAID

Over the years, the rogue agency has assumed an independence not envisioned when it was established. In an interview with Real Clear Politics, Mike Benz, founder of the Foundation for Freedom Online, explained: “What is USAID? When people hear the name USAID, they focus on ‘aid,’ they focus on thinking like it’s humanitarian work. But ‘aid’ is not actually in the name of US AID. USAID stands for the ‘United States Agency for International Development,’ not aid; it’s not a charity.” What has happened is that even the notion of “aid” has been lost. USAID is nothing more than a funnel for US taxpayers’ hard-earned dollars to be wasted on third-party non-governmental organizations that neither aid the intended recipients nor further the foreign policy goals of the United States.

Secretary Rubio explained in an interview with Fox News:

“They have basically evolved into an agency that believes that they’re not even a US Government agency, that they’re a global charity, that they take the taxpayer money, and they spend it as a global charity irrespective of whether it is in the national interest or not in the national interest. One of the most common complaints you will get if you go to embassies around the world from State Department officials and ambassadors and the like is USAID is not only not cooperative … They are supporting programs that upset the host government.”

Rubio went on to say that his goal was initially to attempt to reform the agency; however, now there is “rank insubordination” in an organization that fundamentally doesn’t believe it works for the US government and instead answers to a global imperative. Worse, USAID officials, in acts of arrogance difficult to fathom, have actively attempted to prevent Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) representatives from accessing data on how it is spending its funding. After the DOGE officials threatened to call in federal marshals, and the USAID director of security and his number two were put on administrative leave, DOGE examiners gained access to the information they sought. Such hubris on the part of civil servants is shocking, but all too predictable.

As Americans have come to expect, the liberals and progressives squealed in horror that one of its favored propaganda machines had come under scrutiny. “The lawmakers gathered outside the main office of the USAID in downtown Washington on February 3 to criticize what they called an ‘illegal maneuver’ by Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who has been tasked by President Donald Trump with downsizing the government,” Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reported. But what the progressive crowd can’t come to grips with is that USAID is an agency of the executive branch of government. An executive order by President John F. Kennedy created it, and an executive order can reorganize it.

USAID Funds Enemies

Of the approximately 130 countries to which USAID provides assistance, “The top 10 recipients of USAID-managed funds in FY2023 were, in descending order of funding, Ukraine, Ethiopia, Jordan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Somalia, Yemen, Afghanistan, Nigeria, South Sudan, and Syria,” according to a 2025 Congressional Research Service (CRS) report, “US Agency for International Development: An Overview.” The question begged is what US foreign policy goals can be achieved by giving US taxpayer dollars to Yemen, Afghanistan, and Syria, where terrorists and organizations whose purpose is inimical to the United States no doubt get the money.

According to the CRS, “USAID Administrator Samantha Power has repeatedly cited diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) as agency priorities.” The divisive DEIA programs, which many might even call racist, are contrary to the Trump administration’s emphasis on establishing a meritocracy within the federal government. Congressional leaders interested in government stewardship of taxpayers’ dollars are not happy with USAID, either. Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) told Fox News Digital, “USAID’s spending shows a blatant disregard for the wishes of American taxpayers, and it is time to disrupt the system. The agency has been wasting millions of tax dollars on things like tourism in Lebanon, Sesame Street in Iraq, sending Ukrainians to Paris Fashion Week, and so much more.”

In a Feb. 5 letter to Secretary Rubio, Ernst explained, “In response to my concerns, USAID has acted in an unacceptably deceptive and egregious manner. The agency’s attempts to thwart congressional oversight amount to exactly the type of gaslighting that the American people despise most and see so frequently from Washington.”

There is a new zeal in the nation’s capital to hold bureaucrats accountable and conscientiously spend Americans’ tax dollars. It seems impossible that liberals and progressives would quibble with that – but they do.

DOGE and The Deep State Purge, Part I

"What's best in life? To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women." Conan the Barbarian

By Rich Kozlovich

I've updated this piece DAILY showing just how corrupt, and even treasonous, USAID has been, and the updates are getting so large I've tried to organize them into categories. At least as best as I can since so much of what they were doing overlapped.   One thing is becoming clear to me as the information accumulates; in order to make sure it's all properly exposed I will have to do an individual piece on each category.

Have no doubt someone is going to prison, and the investigations will lead to - "let's make a deal" - by the flunkys and lackeys of these organizations who did the dirty work in order to avoid the full weight of the justice system upon them,  Those deals will lead to the upper echelon of the Democrat party, these bureaucracies, and possibly some RINO's.

"Here are the highest paid employees of USAID. As Dems are wont to say, You have to pay market rates to get the experts with the knowledge to run a govt. racket: USAID Highest Paid Employees"

Trump the Barbarian, is the Deep State’s worst nightmare, and it's happening at such a fast pace, and over the entire federal bureaucracy, the Democrats can't act fast enough because the evidence coming out about how they've corrupted the bureaucracy is so vast they're incapable of mounting a credible response.

"For years, the strategy was simple—control the narrative, slow-walk investigations, drag out court cases, and create distractions. But the speed of Trump’s counteroffensive has shattered that plan. Every day brings another massive revelation, another purge, another humiliation for the so-called ruling class."........."Meanwhile, Democrat operative Jen Psaki has gone full Chicken Little, warning Americans that the “sky is falling.” And they’re right; just not for America.  The sky is falling for the Deep State. And it’s happening right now."

Yeah, the sky is falling all right, and some of them are going to jail.

How do they respond to China having spies in the White House, the massive corruption at USAID, even funding terrorists, and it turns out less than ten percent went to those who were deserving.  They tried to resist efforts by DOGE to investigate their actions, but I keep seeing this idea they're in charge, not the President of the United States.  They're learning they're not in charge.  USAID Security Chiefs Put on Leave After Refusing Musk.

Panic in the Deep State as DOGE Pulls Back the Curtain on USAID - Musk's wrecking ball "We're shutting it down," Musk said. Trump, talking to reporters last night, suggested a final decision hasn't been made. He said USAID is "run by radical lunatics"...."beyond repair"....... "a bowl of worms" with no apple."'

Initially the Treasury department refused access to "classified information" about their payment system, but they keep forgetting, the President of the United States is the ultimate classifying authority, and if he says someone is cleared, that's it, they're cleared!  And now we know why they resisted, to cover up what can't be defined as anything but criminal activity.   At the Treasury department is was discovered that payment approval officers at the U.S. Treasury were simply rubber-stamping all payment requests that were submitted to them.   Musk Reveals Treasury Has Been Auto-Paying Everyone, ‘Even Known Terrorist Groups’,  “They literally never denied a payment in their entire career.”   Someone's going to jail over this.

Eighty eight FBI agents were escorted out of the FBI offices, and that's just the beginning. Fifty one traitors have their security clearances revoked, and there will be prosecutions there, not to mention resignations by the number, and it's expected this is going to generate some serious deals for lower echelon people to start talking, and that will go to the top of the Democrat pyramid.

The bureaucrats are unhappy, and claim they shouldn't have to go back to work.  Outrageous, being in an office 40 hours a week.  The head of the American Federation of Government Employees Union, Everett Kelly, explains:

“Purging the federal government of dedicated career federal employees will have vast, unintended consequences that will cause chaos for the Americans who depend on a functioning federal government,” Kelley said in a statement. “Between the flurry of anti-worker executive orders and policies, it is clear that the Trump administration’s goal is to turn the federal government into a toxic environment where workers cannot stay even if they want to.”

Something they just don't seem to get is Trump isn't taking over the Executive Branch, he "is" the Executive branch, the constitution says: The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.

And we're hearing the lamentations of their women, and self styled "real conservatives", like Bill Kristol, who are leaches on the system, and he's not alone by any stretch of the imagination.

Bill Kristol, who has been receiving funding from USAID, claims Deep State Corruption....and ultimate bankruptcy.... is preferable to Trump state.  Does anyone think that sounds sane?  That's as stupid as Axelrod saying USAID cuts is more radical that any spending.  More radical to whom?  Those who are corruptly befitting from that spending?  Certainly not for the American people.   I can't wait for the criminal investigations to begin.

Now this from a man who I think is one of the weirdest human beings on the planet, Stephen King, saying Elon Musk is killing America, and has "quit Twitter because the “atmosphere has just become too toxic”'.  Toxic?  From Stephen King?  Really?  Now that is remarkable.

Then there's Senator Warner who claims Trump’s actions will create chaos on steroids, offering no credible argument to support such a claim, but what is credible is targeting of NGO and nonprofit slush funds could recover billions.  That's not chaos for the  American people, it's chaos for those who've been leeching off the America taxpayer with the support of corrupt politicians and bureaucrats, many of which need to be investigated and prosecuted.  There's nothing like a good civil and/or criminal penalty to get people's heads on straight.

Why was the federal government funding grants to South Africa?  Trump Cuts Off Funding to South Africa over Racial Land Confiscation.  They're a murderous, brutal, corrupt far left racist government.  Isn't that was the America left is supposed to be opposed to?  The claim there are valid reasons to support this insane government but they are totally offset by their corruption, they politically motivated murders of white farmers, their unending support of Muslim terrorism against Israel, and have a cozy relationship with China and Russia.  None of which does anything for America.  If their population has a AIDS problem I think that's unfortunate, but how did that become our responsibility?

Remember when all this was snottily, smugly, and snarkily called "conspiracy theories"?  Well, Senator John Kennedy recently noted:

"We need more conspiracy theories since all the old ones have turned out to be true - Conspiracy theorists are up like 37 to nothing."

Politicians may be driving this, and have been for years, but a new day is dawning, and it's the bureaucrats who have going to pay the penalty. I remember when 25 years ago or so the major league umpires went on strike, and the union told them to resign as a tactic to get MLB to agree to new terms.

Well,....that didn't work, and when the contract was finally signed, and those who followed their union reps advice, were out of jobs. As it turned out there were a lot of people who could do just as badly as they did, and cheaper.

The same will be true after the dust settles and tens of thousands of bureaucrats are out looking for jobs and who in their right mind would hire them? What are their qualifications? They can sign their names on welfare checks.... maybe.... as long as it's not in cursive.

If there was any doubt there was going to be criminal action taken agaisnt these people, disabuse yourself of that, since now we know both USAID and the CIA were behind the impeachment of trump in 2019 all of which is absolute violation of federal law and considered treason. (More here)
