Last week marked the seventh annual commemoration of the Yazidi genocide, though you wouldn’t know it from watching establishment media. Nor would you know that there is an ongoing genocide of Christians
taking place in Nigeria, nor that throughout the Islamic world
countless women and girls are enduring kidnapping, forced marriages,
forced conversions of Christians to Islam, genocidal rape, and/or
widespread sex trafficking even in countries that are supposedly our
allies in the War on Terror.
To keep abreast of these crises, one needs to seek out the work of such concerned journalists as the Freedom Center’s own Raymond Ibrahim or Dutch journalist Sonja Dahlmans, who work desperately to bring international attention to the plight of the victims of an actual war on women.
I recently interviewed Ms. Dahlmans about these issues. She currently writes (in Dutch only) for the conservative political news site PAL NWS, and is studying Islam at the Melbourne School of Theology, where she will be starting her thesis.

One of England's National Health Service–funded clinics is promoting prostitution as a way for transgender people to pay for their transition treatments. Being a sex worker 'can be useful and
sometimes empowering', according to a guide produced by CliniQ, a sexual counseling service for transgender people at King's College Hospital
in London. It adds: 'It can help us pay for parts of our transition.' The
booklet by CliniQ, which is part-funded by King's College NHS Trust and
three London local authorities, also suggests that transgender men —
people born in female bodies but transitioning to male — can hide the

The
district attorney of Manhattan in NYC has announced that his office
will no longer prosecute any unlicensed "massage" parlor workers (about
900 cases), nor loitering
for the purposes of prostitution (about 5,000 cases). Abigail
Swenstein, a staff attorney with the Legal Aid Society's Exploitation
Intervention Project, which works with sex workers, said that while the
policy doesn't preclude
the New York Police Department making arrests, she hopes officers will
choose not to, knowing that prosecutors would not bring charges. Laws
against these behaviors are still on the books but will not be
prosecuted. The citizenry has not repealed these laws, but the ever
wise and dictatorial district attorney will spit in the face of the
citizenry (and God) by deeming these activities unworthy of punishment.
This writer could find reference to only one person, New York Assemblyman Mike Reilly,
a Republican, who said Manhattan's new prostitution policy sets a
dangerous precedent. "It flies in the face of law and order," he

Is decriminalizing sex work a way to protect women from oppression and abuse?
Rhode Island is considering a proposal to decriminalize prostitution. The proposal is supported by the ACLU and various sex work advocacy groups like the SOAR institute and COYOTE ("Call off your tired old ethics"). Their argument is that decriminalizing prostitution reduces violence against sex workers and empowers women.
It would seem that elected officials have short memories — Rhode Island has already experimented with decriminalized sex work, and the consequences were disastrous.
For 29 years (1980–2009), because of a legal loophole, Rhode Island banned outdoor solicitation — seeking clients by standing on street corners or walking the streets. But it legalized indoor prostitution — sex work that takes place through brothels, strip clubs, massage parlors, escort agencies, and the online market.
During that period, Rhode Island became a sex tourist destination, functioning as the red-light district for all of New England. In addition to outright prostitution, sex businesses concealed as spas, nail salons, health centers, modeling agencies, and other "thinly veiled houses of prostitution" posed as legitimate businesses, offering "acupressure," "body work," or "table showers." The state became a Petri dish for all sorts of crime— sexual assault, murder, and armed robbery, to name just a few.

Kamala Harris (D., Calif.) came out on Tuesday in favor of decriminalizing prostitution..............Harris most publicly opposed the idea of decriminalizing the oldest profession in 2008, when she called a proposal to do so in San Francisco "completely ridiculous".......it "would put a welcome mat out for pimps and prostitutes." She rejected the notion that prostitution was a "victimless crime,"..... it "compromises the quality of life in a community."
But in her Tuesday interview with The Root, she said she supports decriminalizing prostitution and explicitly said it was because it is often victimless...............

My Take - The world has gone mad. For anyone to do such a thing is demented and shocking, but to do this to a family member shows the depths of degradation to which she's fallen, and this woman needs to be put away forever.

Charlene Downes was 14 in 2003. She's been missing ever since. During a trial, jurors heard a tape in which a suspect stated that he chopped up her body and cooked it into kebabs. The case was tossed out because of problems with the gathering of evidence. Charlene's sister, Emma, was later tried for "racially aggravated assault." Emma slapped the face of the murder suspect's brother. Emma was convicted for her crime.

Lucy has that loving look that suggests that she will hit her stride as a kind, middle-aged matron. In fact, Lucy gave birth at 14.
