Hating on Trump: Ex-Conservatives Share Their TDS at DC Summit

It will likely resemble a funeral for a disgraced and extinct movement.

Watching people associated with a spent force scream into the darkness is a sad spectacle. Of course, we are witnessing that in the Democrats’ fallen world, though it is exactly what you would expect from a party still reeling from losing an election that both sides rightly portrayed as the most important in a lifetime. But what about those who abandoned (some would say betrayed) their party and made bed with the opposition (some would say enemy)? Knowing when to quit is a mark of maturity in politics, as in life. Still, there remain plenty of Trump-hating former conservatives and mainstream Republicans suffering so mightily from Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) that they openly supported Kamala Harris for president. And they’re bringing the gang back together this weekend to console each other now that their world has crashed and burned.

The Principles First Summit (PFS), a name implying moral superiority, will be held in Washington starting Friday. It will feature a roster of speakers heavily populated by one-time conservatives who have raised tens of millions of dollars over three election cycles to take down Donald Trump. The timing of PFS was deliberately chosen to coincide with CPAC, the much-anticipated annual event that serves as a gathering for conservatives/Republicans, with President Trump scheduled to speak there on Saturday. Perhaps the organizers of PFS, including founder Heath Mayo, were convinced their girl Kamala would be victorious and that they would gather to celebrate as pro-Trumpers simultaneously drowned their sorrows. But now that the opposite has come to pass in emphatic fashion, the rhetoric at this scheduled celebration of self-proclaimed virtue will probably more closely resemble a funeral dirge.

It’s one thing to dislike or even express disdain for a politician in your party. It’s quite another to fall into the welcoming arms of those on the other side and then consummate your betrayal by openly supporting a candidate who stands for everything you have fought against for your entire public career. You have then become a useful idiot. Imagine being a conservative who hates Donald Trump so severely that you would openly advocate for a left-wing radical who would alter the face of our republic. We all know Kamala Harris would have done just that.

Talk about throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Where’s Liz?

At the center of the rogue’s gallery of Trump haters sits Liz Cheney, who went even further than her Trump-deranged, pro-Harris fellow travelers by campaigning side-by-side with Joe Biden’s vice president. But as Trump cuts through the disgraced DC Swamp like a hot knife through butter with broad public approval, Ms. Cheney has been reduced to sitting in the peanut gallery, likely waiting for the president to blunder so she can engage in I-told-you-so. But she is evidently so embarrassed by the election outcome – and her role in the campaign – that even as the poster child for TDS, she is not scheduled to appear on the rostrum for the PFS gathering of losers.

 

The list of scheduled speakers reads like a who’s-who of Trump-hating ex-Republicans and conservatives: There is Bill Kristol, the founder of the defunct neoconservative journal The Weekly Standard, who on Thursday penned a column concerning the administration’s negotiations aimed at ending the war in Ukraine, in which he said: “[M]y hope [is] that this American mission abroad fails.” Yes, he actually wrote that.

Also on the list is Trump’s former security advisor and war hawk, John Bolton; then George Conway, who saw fit to constantly embarrass his now ex-wife, Kellyanne Conway, with unhinged rants about Trump when she worked for the 45th president. Adam Kinsinger, the former GOP congressman who worked hand-in-hand with Nancy Pelosi on the January 6 congressional committee, will be there, and so will Michael Steele, former head of the Republican National Committee and now a commentator on fast-fading MSNBC. Then there’s an array of speakers from two platforms created specifically to house disaffected anti-Trump Republicans, The Bulwark and The Dispatch, including Mona Charen, Steve Hayes, and Jonah Goldberg.

Trump Shuns Strong Women?

Also scheduled to speak at PFS is Mark Cuban, one of the few mega-billionaires who has refused to come alongside President Trump. You will recall that during the presidential campaign, Cuban famously declared of Trump that “you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever,” a statement that was thrown back in his face when Trump selected the likes of Susie Wiles, Tulsi Gabbard, and Kristi Noem for critical positions in his administration. 

Then there is former New Jersey governor and presidential candidate Chris Christie, who has gone back and forth over the years in supporting and opposing Trump. Noting Christie’s appearance, the New Jersey-based Shore News Network described the gathering in stark terms: “The summit can be called the GOP’s ‘Biggest Loser’ event of the year, featuring the who’s who of the far-left wing of the Republican Party and progressive mainstreamers. The featured speakers roster is a d-list of anti-Trump current and former politicians and bureaucrats.”

In announcing her appearance at PFS, longtime Republican Sarah Longwell, publisher of The Bulwark, wrote: “We’re in a new era now, and it’s obvious people are scared. Billionaires and politicians are self-censoring. Lots of people are choosing to pre-surrender to Trump rather than speak out … Dark times like these are when we need each other most.”

It is hard to imagine a group with less power and influence in the political realm than the featured speakers at PFS. Most of these people have renounced their long-standing affiliations and ideology because of their deranged hatred of a man who stands for almost all of the same policies and principles to which they were long known to subscribe. And their newfound allies on the left no longer have any use for them. They are losers of the worst kind, those who betrayed their own beliefs, failed, and are left to wander in the wilderness.

BBC Trains Staff How to Drink WATER in One-Hour ‘Wellness’ Course

Britain’s publicly funded broadcaster, the BBC, has been branded a “complete joke” after it was revealed it has offered staff a one-hour course on how to drink water.

During the coronavirus pandemic, the BBC has produced a series of so-called ‘wellness’ webinars aimed at helping staff maintain mental and physical health.  One such course, entitled ‘Hydration’, provided staff with a one-hour course on the benefits of drinking water and how to stay properly hydrated, The Sun reported.

In an email sent out to BBC staff, the broadcaster explained: “Attending this webinar will help you to identify the importance of being fully hydrated and find practical ways to achieve this state every day and to understand how being fully hydrated will improve health, overall wellbeing and performance.”

In response to the course, an insider at the BBC said: “We’ve all had a good laugh about it, so I guess it has boosted our mental health.”.......To Read More.....

My Take -  This was sent to me from someone of Our Group, my internet e-mail group, who snarkily said (paraphrasing): Yes, but did it focus on how to drink water in an inclusive manner sensitive to the needs and concerns of people of color, women, non-cis-heteronormative non-gender conforming individuals, the disabled, and others nearby whose personal identities and pronouns have not been made explicitly clear before the potentially micro-aggressive water intake is initiated.   They need to get with the program!

Comey: ‘Republican Party Needs to Be Burned Down or Changed’

Former FBI Director James Comey, an outspoken opponent of outgoing President Donald Trump, believes the Republican Party “needs to be burned down or changed” moving forward.

While Comey long identified as a Republican, he endorsed Joe Biden last year and now believes the Republican Party needs a complete revamp.

“The Republican party needs to be burned down or changed,” Comey said, according to the Guardian, expressing hope “something is shifting” with a “fault breaking apart, a break between the Trumpists and those people who want to try and build a responsible conservative party.”

“Who would want to be part of an organization that at its core is built on lies and racism and know-nothingism? It’s just not a healthy political organization,” he said, continuing to criticize Trump and those who work with and support him.

Just let Kanye be Kanye

The mainstream press is reporting that Kanye West has abandoned conservatism and turned on Trump. Here is one of his tweets.

"My eyes are now wide open and now realize I've been used to spread messages I don't believe in.  I'm distancing my self from politics and completely focusing on being creative!!!"

Some conservatives are chagrined and angry, given that it comes off as a rebuke after an impressive gathering of young black conservative leaders in Washington, and the issue itself revolves around the design of a political slogan, "blexit," and a t-shirt. Leftists, meanwhile, are mocking and gleeful. What a wonderful comeuppance for conservatives, to think a black superstar could see anything out there the same way they do. My Take - Poor, poor baby!  Oodie booodie boo!  The poor little muff muff, was "used".   Exactly what messages was he being used to promote, and what didn't he believe in?  Who knows!  Now let's see a show of hands from the ranks of the sane of how many are surprised or shocked at his brand new loonism.  He's a loon, just like Rosanne, both are certifiable.  It's just good both of them impoded early, and we should thank both of them for being themselves as quickly as they did. 

The message to take away from this for the women in my reading audience - you're not married to him. 

As for conservatives being angry at Kanye - my 93 year old mother has a phrase that fits this scenario: "This falls under the category of who gives a s__t!"

The entire Democrat establishment of Chicago was publicly humiliated last week after selling expensive ($200) tickets to a fundraiser in the grand ballroom of the Hilton Hotel downtown, only to have the “special guest,” Maxine Waters, missing in action, with no notice and no excuse.

Representative Waters has titillated angry Democrats with her incitements to harass their political opponents, and her demands for impeachment of President Trump that began even before he took office.

These outbursts won her the sobriquet “Auntie Maxine.” But based on her failure to show up with no notice, one has to wonder if she isn’t turning into Ross Perot’s legendary “crazy aunt in the basement.”............. Read more

My Take - Did he say she's "turning into the crazy aunt in the basement"?  She's been a loon as long as she's been in politics, and it would be my guess as long as she's been alive.  And let's face it.  Any group that would feature her as their main speaker, is as loony as she. 

Evergreen State Asks Profs to Take Protester's Feelings into Account When Grading Them

Officials at Evergreen State University are asking professors to take the emotional commitment of students who had been involved in recent protests into account when determining their final  grades. Evergreen’s interim provost, Ken Tabbutt, made the request in an e-mail last semester, a copy of which was later obtained by Campus Reform.

In the e-mail, Tabbutt explains that the protests were “difficult for many” in the campus community, and that in particular, “students of color are clearly telling [them] that they do not feel that Evergreen is a safe place.” “The purpose of this email is to remind faculty that student protesters have diverted time and energy from their academic work to promote institutional change and social justice,” he wrote, adding that the “work of students that have not been involved in the protests may also have been affected” because “many feel that the campus is not safe.”.........Read more

 

My Take - I'm in total harmony with this idea.  Those who didn't protest but stayed at the task of studying to prepare themseles to face the future with hard work should be failed.  And those who failed to do the work assigned because they were out protesting should be give A's. 

 

Why?

 

Because even the loons who send their kids there would realize Evergreen is an insane asylum being run by the inmates.  Eventually they would be out of the education business and no longer be able to contaminate young people's minds with insanity.   I only hope it's already started.

DNC Staff calls Hillary Blame “F***ing Bull****!”

My Take -Everybody is to leave the DNC immediately!  This organization is closed until further notice!  Clear these offices at once!   I'm shocked, shocked to find out there's been illegal, backstabbing and incompetence here!   Here's the part that's not taken into account. All this insanity from Clinton was obvious from the start.   She has always been something seriously wrong with her mind and it didn't start with the election. She's always been an arrogant, lying, self serving, back stabbing psychopath all of her adult life.  Her life history is replete with evidence of that - and they still fawned and groveled before her.  And I include the media.  These people are getting exactly what they deserve.....so now..... tell me..... how many still think it's terrible Trump beat her?

Senator James Risch (R-ID) is a qualified expert on foreign policy and national security, so his commentary on the recent hubub surrounding President Trump’s conversation with the Russians must surely have deflated some folks at CNN. In an interview that Risch gave to CNN’s Wolf Blitzer he outlined two seperate and important facts that the media has seemed happy to gloss over in their coverage of the events. My Take - We need to get this right.  The President can use intelligence as he sees fit.  It's not up to underlings to decide how intelligence is used or who it's shared with.  You may not like the way some president does it,  but that's his job!  Not ours, and certainly not the media's or the opposition party.
