Twitter Will Survive Longer Than the Washed-Up Celebrities Who Are Quitting It

It’s difficult for many on the Left who have been sheltered in their own tiny worlds to realize that they’ve been led to believe lies.

I have never considered that my patronage of a business, or the lack thereof, would make or break the enterprise. So, I find it amusing that D-list celebrities believe their threats to leave Twitter could make any difference when it comes to the company’s bottom line.

This week, stars who haven’t been relevant in years, such as Toni Braxton and Sara Bareilles, announced that they would leave Twitter in the wake of its purchase by SpaceX founder Elon Musk. Braxton, who last had a Billboard 100 hit in the 1990s, said she was leaving because she saw “hate speech” on the platform since the acquisition late last week. Bareilles, who I think had a hit with “Love Song” in the early 2000s, claims the platform is “just not for me” anymore. 

Apparently, free speech and open banter about political issues are difficult for denizens of the 99-cent bargain CD bin at Walmart to process—and they cannot help but virtue signal about it. Nevertheless, Braxton and Bareilles both still have open and active Twitter accounts.

Another celebrity who has problems with opposing viewpoints is Rob Reiner. The washed-up television star, best known as “Meathead” and who recently admitted to Bill Maher that he gets his news exclusively from leftist propaganda channels like CNN and MSNBC, screeched that he was leaving the platform, too. Yet he has tweeted about a dozen times since that announcement........Ultimately, they can’t quit. My Take - First, just because these people are famous and rich doesn't make them "somebodies", because, to quote that famous Hollywood philosopher, Forest Gump, "Stupid is as stupid does".  Cher and a host of other stupid celebrity "nobodies" were leaving America if Trump was elected.  And as far as I can tell, each and every one of those nitwits are still here contaminating America's air with their presence.   What's really fascinating is the idea they actually believe their thoughts mean anything to sane people.  Joe Piscopo said it best, "Nobody cares what entertainers think".

The Media, Loony Leftists and Their Logic

Do you remember when Trump was running all the loony leftists in the entertainment class threatened to move to out of the nation if he was elected?  Here's an interesting list of who they were and where they are now. 

Some of them threatened to move to Canada.  Some of them were already Canadians working for the big bucks in America, but they were willing to go back home as a sacrifice.  Yeah....right! Others like Cher were going back to their home planets and others just continue to display what complete obnoxious jerks they are, like Samuel L. Jackson.

But Miley Cyrus, who threatened to move, now says, "it wouldn’t be right if she moved overseas during President Trump’s tenure because “you can’t leave everyone else to fend for themselves.” She is, according to her,  “a queer person … in a hetero relationship — maintains that her activism is needed to protect the LGBT community." 

She actually thinks the nation needs her, and the she has some kind of influence on society.  She actually thinks society cares whether she's here or Venezuela, and frankly, I would love to see her move there, or even better yet, Iran, and tell them there she's queer.   She's married to Liam Hemsworth, who must be a blithering idiot.   I wonder if someone is taking bets on how long that's going to last.

Joe Piscopo said it best, "Nobody cares what entertainers think". 

Then we have the media. Isn't amazing how the word is considered a slur? Well, they acquired that the old fashioned way - they earned it.

Dahleen Glanton, Chicago Times posted this article on February 23 saying: Sorry, bigots, but I’m not sorry for once trusting Jussie Smollett.  She goes on to say:

"It now appears that Jussie Smollett may have made up the story of his attack. If true, it is disgraceful and, in my opinion, inexcusable.But let’s be clear. Just because one person lied about a racist and homophobic incident does not let all bigots off the hook. This is not a reprieve for anyone who has set a bomb off in a mosque or sprayed a synagogue with deadly gunfire."

There are so many logical fallacies in this article it boggles the imagination that someone like this has a job putting out opinion pieces.  According to her, this gay black man is wrong, but those who thought he was lying were more wrong?   And racism forced him to do this. 

So, all of this is whitey's fault and whitey, especially Trump voters, and whitey is evil?

I wonder what she thinks about all those whites who are attacked by blacks "playing" the Knock Out game, and who was 13 month old Antonio Santiago? I wonder if she ever took a look at the statistics as to who is attacking whom.  Make no mistake about it, blacks are way in the lead when it comes to racial violence, including against other blacks, and in fact, especially against other blacks. 

That's not bigotry, it's a fact.
