My Take - To be a leftist requires massive mental capacity.  Why?  Because to justify their hypocrisy, irrational views, twisted logic require unparalleled mental gymnastics. Fortunately, they're so obviously nuts, ordinary people with ordinary mental capacity can see through it all.  But that's not a deterrent to the left.  They lie, they know they lie, we know they lie and they know we know they lie.  And the brilliant conclusion these mental giants on the left come to?  Since everyone knows it all a lie, it isn't really a lie, ergo,  why stop lying?

 

The Conundrums of Leftism

I received a couple of e-mails from two of my e-mail correspondents yesterday with information I thought so well of I decided to re-frame these e-mails into an article in order to demonstrate to everyone how rational thought and socialism are antithetical to each other. 

In America the left claims capitalism in the United States creates nothing but selfish, greedy and money grubbing elites who care nothing of the suffering of others.  Yet half of the population is subsidized, and not only are they subsidized, they're being told they're victims,  and they believe they're victims! 

What's amazing is they're being told they're victims by the leaders they elected to run the government, who keep claiming they're getting poorer and poorer.  Furthermore, they're told and believe, it's not their leaders fault.  So, who's fault is it?   

The people running the government, who they elected, insist it's the fault of those who provide jobs, pay all the taxes and fund all the programs that give them a "level of poverty" that's only dreamed of by the world's truly impoverished people.   They all have cell phones, televisions, free health care, free housing, free food, and they get a check every month, all the while not working, and if the women on these programs have more illegitimate children, they get a raise!

But in spite of all that they want America to be more like those countries who don't provide that.  You know, the socialist countries but are stunningly competent in providing dystopia; tyranny, suffering, sickness, poverty, misery and early death.

Is it any wonder people like Nancy Pelosi,  Joe Biden, Maxine Waters, Chuck Schumer, Andrew Cuomo and a host of other intellectually corrupt incompetents keep getting elected over and over again? Why?  Because it's clear they must be the brightest pebbles in their brooks, which means they're surrounded by people who are dumb as dirt.

Rush used to used to define them with the term "low information voters", and I agree, but perhaps that's not definitive enough.  Since some of them are just too lazy to really investigate the truth, or perhaps they're just too busy doing their jobs and living their lives to be obsessed with politics, perhaps we should create a subcategory called "distracted or superficial voters".  

 

These are the ones who actually trust the traditional mainstream media to inform them about the reality of life. But it's well known, and should be obvious to the most casual observer, they've been totally infested with leftists who only promote leftist narratives.  Yet these voters still believe they're "well informed voters".

 

Then there are those who know it's horsepucky, but they're absolute leftists who suffer from the Mind Projection fallacy and only see reality through their left wing mental vision of how the world works and how it should work.   So what do we call these voters?  

 

Well, it's been said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.  Since socialism has been an abject failure everywhere, and for all time, we have no choice to define them as nothing less than "insane" voters.  

 

As for the the others discussed here:  They're still dumb as dirt.

As Red States (Republican-leaning) open up and the citizens shed their masked sign of oppression from their faces, the Blue States (Liberal-Democrat-Marxist-Communist-leaning) are doubling down on their Pandemic protocol madness.  In Southern California, stores that used to not mind me walking in without a facial armband on my face are now kicking me out, despite my cries that I have a medical exemption (face coverings more-often-than-not cause me to go into dizzy spells or long episodes of vertigo).  Aldi personnel actually escorted me out of the store, and refused to check-out my wife’s full grocery cart despite the fact that, unlike me, she was wearing a face mask...........To Read more...

Desperately seeking perfection

So if the USA is a terrible horrible place, what country/nation do the (millennials/elitists) critics think we should try to be like? Have the critics spent a year in whatever country that is?

It seems reasonable that they should, to be sure they know what that country looks like instead of relying on second and third hand reports. After all, changing the nature of our nation is not going to be cheap or easy. Even “climate chaos” mongers do a little (ultimately flawed) research. Let's be scientific and be sure to gather evidence before we commit to such an all-encompassing endeavor.

It sounds promising when critics say that we should give free medical care and education to everyone, and maybe in some ideal world that would happen. Where is it happening right now? Nowhere.

If we think about it in terms of “free diversity advice”, how many people with diversity-related degrees are willing to work for free? Even if their college debts were forgiven, they still have to pay rent and buy food. They cannot afford to work for free. Neither can medical caregivers like doctors and nurses, nor education providers like teachers and administrative staff................Read more

My Take -  Leftists demand perfection, if they're not in charge.  When they are in charge everything, and I mean everything, is not only imperfect it's not long before everything turns into a disaster.  That's history and that history is incontestable.

Years ago when there was a big march and demonstration by "liberals" against some world economic summit NPR ran an interview with (yeah, shocker isn't that, I actually listen to NPR)  a young demonstrator asking her what she was protesting and what she thought should replace the current system.  She said "great minds were working on this".  As they continued to question her along the lines that she was protesting against something for which she had no alternative, she came back to her default setting - "Great minds were working on this".  Which of course means nothing. 

This default setting concept is consistent among the left.  When questioned at a Senate hearing regarding Global Warming a Sierra Club representative had his default setting, which was - "97% of scientists agree".  No matter what questions he was asked, or facts presented to show that was inaccurate, he kept coming back to - "97% of scientists agree".   Well, what does that mean.  Please enjoy my article, How Many Constitute 97%?,  for the answer.

Why do they do this?  Because facts and consistency of thought are anathema to the left, whether it involves economics or the environment, and for the same reason.  Their only concern is grabbing as much money and power as possible irrespective of reality or factuality.  That is the only moral foundation for the left.  They will adopt or abandon any position necessary to attain it.  Any position they adopt will be done with passion and unending emotion pointing an unending finger of condemnation at anyone who disagrees.   If, or when, they abandon those positions, they will do it with equal passion and emotion,  and with the same level of condemnation against anyone who disagrees, even if that was their position yesterday.  

One thing will be always be true about leftists.  They will never care about facts if those facts do not support the most popular philosophical flavor of the day.  Which means no matter what they say they don't care about the people their positions impact any more than did Stalin or Mao, both of whom murdered tens of millions of their own people to attain their goals. 

To be a leftist is to be irrational, misanthropic and morally defective.  Show me any country controlled by leftists and leftist central planning and control systems that doesn't operate in that manner.  How about Venezuela? 

Here's reality.  Everyone wants perfection, but in the real world the best we can hope for is the most acceptable imperfection.  Capitalism isn't perfect, but it's the most acceptable imperfection. Socialism is not only imperfect, in practice, it's insanity.
