You hear a lot about Hungary these days. To be fair, Prime Minister Viktor Orban does upset the delicate sensibilities of the progressive liberals. It is only natural then for Americans to wonder about this distant land that has become a prickling thorn in the side of the globalist Left.

An “age of discovery in reverse” has started, as intellectuals from Tucker Carlson through Jordan Peterson to Micheal Knowles explore for themselves the Hungarian conservative landscape in search of lessons to learn about politics and winning at the polls.

Most recently Dr. Shea Bradley Farrell published her brilliant book Last Warning to the West – Hungary’s Triumph over Communism and the Woke Agenda which takes a deep dive into Hungary’s history and samples our recipe for conservative success.

Hungary’s past is indeed fascinating. Many have dug our graves, but fell into theirs long before us. Hungary Blocks $55B in EU Aid to Ukraine

Hungarian Prime Minister Orban at CPAC: The Democrats ‘Hate’ America

Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán issued an astonishing denunciation of the United States’ governing Democrats at a speech in Texas, telling American conservatives they “hate you and slander you and the America you stand for.”

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s address to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas, Texas, was made under something of a cloud, with the Hungarian leader having been under sustained attack from the establishment media for a July speech in which he said Hungarians did not wish to follow “post-Western” liberal governments’ immigration policies because they “do not want to become peoples of mixed-race.”

These comments were heavily emphasised by media outlets such as the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in their coverage of the CPAC speech — the fact that Orban subsequently clarified that the basis of his stance on immigration “is not biological… it is not a racial issue, it is a cultural issue” and that “it is beyond the pale for any political issue to be approached on a biological basis” was not reported — but he appeared to quickly win over his American audience............. 

 “This is not good for us. It’s bad,” he said, alleging that in previous years the administration of Biden’s former boss, Barack Obama, had gone so far as to “[try] to force us to change the Fundamental Law [constitution] of Hungary, and delete Christian and national values from it.”

“Do you get it? Commentary: The American Right Can Learn from Orbán’s Big Win

Viktor Orbán has crushed the Left, again.

The Hungarian leader won his fourth consecutive term in office on Sunday, defying pollsters who had predicted a competitive race and delivering a crushing blow to the “united” Hungarian opposition, a dog’s breakfast coalition of six parties ranging from the Greens to a former far-right party with neo-Nazi associations, which he defeated by a 53-35 percent margin. In total, right-wing parties captured approximately 60 percent of the vote compared to about 36 percent for left-wing parties.............

While much of the GOP establishment (and establishment think tanks) talk airily of our high principles, the Left has run roughshod over us, subjecting traditionalist Americans to indignities that could never even have been imagined by our forefathers. If we are being brutally honest, we could not have imagined these indignities ourselves just 10 or 20 years ago.............

Even more infuriating for the Left, all of their carefully rehearsed excuses for their defeat—legal (and not particularly effective) gerrymandering, discarded ballots, a biased media environment—were swept aside by the size of the Fidesz mandate. Indeed, the party even expanded on the two-thirds parliamentary majority it achieved in the 2018 elections. The rout was so substantial that opposition leader Péter Márki-Zay lost by a double-digit percentage among his own constituency.

As a friend (one of America’s most noted conservative intellectuals) wrote to me in the wake of Orbán’s win,  “They [the global Left] are apparently terrified that if just one dissenter is allowed to stand, their whole edifice . . . will come tumbling down.”

In sum, Orbán won overwhelmingly with a campaign and record that was conservative, nationalist, anti-immigration, pro-traditional family, and firmly against military intervention in Ukraine. Hungary Mulls Sanctions Against Social Media Giants

Hungarian Justice Minister Judit Varga on Monday raised the prospect of sanctioning social media firms over what she called “systematic abuses” of free speech. The minister said she would meet the Hungarian competition watchdog this week to discuss possible penalties for what she described as unfair commercial practices as well as convening a meeting of the country’s digital freedom committee.

In a growing wave of criticism, some government officials are complaining about what they have described as efforts by social media companies, including Facebook, to limit conservative views on their platforms. My Take- Interesting twist here, and quite frankly, I find this piece confusing.  While telling us social media is restricting conservative thought, they go on to tell us Orban, who is a former and current Prime Minister of Hungary and  a true anti-leftist, has control over the "private media".  What's that mean?  Does it mean he has a lot of followers in the private media, which he has, and is being restricted?  I read this piece three time and still find I'm not sure what the author's saying, other than it appears no one trusts the social media, which is now an extremely corrupt and powerful international political movement without restrictions or oversight.  

Understanding Viktor Orbán’s Purportedly ‘Unlimited’ Emergency Powers over Hungary

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is one of the most controversial national leaders in the Western world.  Just over a month ago, his majority Fidesz (Hungarian Civic Alliance) Party pushed through the “unlimited” emergency powers by a two-thirds majority of Parliament on March 30.

Orbán has been harshly criticized by the European Union for his firm stance in keeping (predominantly Muslim) refugees from entering Hungary ever since he closed the borders to them in 2015.  Consequently, Orbán has been accused by the international community of being an Islamophobe, especially after he said: “Islam has never been part of Europe, it came to us.  We in Hungary decide what we want or don't want. My Take -   First off, I seriously doubt whether Orban cares what these leftist loons think, in fact he may even view their "insults" as a compliment.  

Secondly, the definition of a phobia is: "an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something."  Fear of Islam is neither extreme or irrational.  It's a real and justifiable fear.  

The fact is these EU countries that have allowed all this mass Muslim immigration are inundated with violence, murder, rape and thievery.  All justifiable under Koranic teachings.  These problems existed before, but not at the level it exists now, and Sweden had almost no crime until this Jihad of Muslim immigration.  Now it has one of the highest number of rape victims in Europe. 

After Western Europe has been violently converted to Islam Hungary and Poland may still have to save Europe, although I don't think that's possible.

Hungarians still remember the invasions of the Ottoman Empire into Eastern Europe, which was finally stopped by the Poles in 1683 at the second siege of Vienna by the Ottoman Turks.  This battle was the beginning of the end of the Ottoman Empire's efforts at domination of Eastern Europe.  Hundreds of years of Islamic induced war.  Hundreds of years of violence, rape, murder, pillage and forced conversions.

France ended it's Muslim problem in 732 at the Battle of Tours.  They need another Charles Martel, another Hammer of France. They need to start remembering, but with the left dominating education there as they do here - that seems unlikely, and after the Muslims violently take over and start forcing conversions, it won't much matter after that.

In defense of Hungary

The Zeit piece starts out claiming to be an introduction to the idea that Hungarian democracy is being "systematically destroyed" by "hate, racism and right-wing gangsterism,"which have become the "state's rationale. Curiously, the English translation of the same sentence is rendered with the relatively anodyne "the institutions, the legal system and the social fabric are nothing but a pile of rubble," perhaps indicating that the editors were aware that they were going too far.

There is no evidence of any even-handedness in the body of the long article, full as it is, loaded with barely disguised innuendo, slander, and outright lies about the country.  The lie that no independent press is tolerated is exposed by the author's own admission that opposition media freely exist in Hungary...........To Read More....

My Take - These suicidal EU immigration policies are going to backfire. At some point the Eastern European countries will break away and form their own economic alliance. The EU is doomed and Orban knows it, and is stalling until that happens.

My Take - This is a story that needs to be watched closely.  If this becomes a cause  celebre among world leaders I'm wondering when these leftist will start assassinating leaders? 

Outrageous you say?  I'm not so sure. 

This is an issue that's followed the Clintons for years and now the DNC.  Is any of it true?  I don't know, but the circumstantial evidence is compelling enough that someone needs to investigate it......thoroughly..... to either dismiss it or prosecute someone.   But one thing we have to understand - assassination has been a tool of the powerful for all of human history.  Why would we believe it isn't done - or won't be done - now?   Especially from the left! 

The left has no solid moral foundation and can easily persuade themselves - and they have - that rioting, looting, violence and murder is freedom of expression against someone with which the disagree - like Trump - and anyone who agrees or supports Trump.  With all of that we should ask ourselves - why is it such a hard leap in logic to think they can't persuade themselves and their myrmidons that assassination isn't wrong but necessary?
