FBI Arrests 2 Over Secret Chinese Police Station in NYC - By Andrew Thornebrooke and Eva Fu April 17, 2023Updated: April 24, 2023 - The FBI arrested two people on April 17 on charges of operating a secret police station in New York City on behalf of China’s regime, according to the Justice Department (DOJ). The duo, Lu Jianwang, 61, and Chen Jinping, 59, conspired to work as agents of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and took orders from the regime in order to track down and silence Chinese dissidents living in the United States, prosecutors said. The police station is believed to be one of more than 100 overseas stations operated by the Chinese regime in 53 countries, according to Safeguard Defenders, a Spain-based nonprofit.  The effort revealed an immense violation of U.S. sovereignty by the CCP and a flagrant violation of international law, according to U.S. District Attorney Breon Peace...........

Here are today's articles and podcasts as posted by 10:20 AM.  I've been impressed with so much of what appears here, but as usual, I don't always agree with authors.  I've taken exception with "My Take", on one article dealing with GMO's, and while I've read this author's pieces in the past and agreed, I put this article on the same par as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his absolutely correct views on the Covid vaccines.  And that's the problem.  He's been an irrational anti-vax nut for years, and this gives inappropriate, and undeserved credibility to the rest of his nutty views.  Since these false vaccines are genetic manipulators, it gives the anti-GMO nitwits inappropriate and underserved credibility on all genetically manipulated products.  I address that below, and with sources, since I've been writing about these immoral GMO misfits for many years.

My Take -  I've been writing about GMO's for many years and this piece is simply wrong. He claims there is "as usual collateral damage" for the use of BT, but fails to say what that damage is. However, there has been very real documentation regarding damage perpetrated on humanity by these green misfits due to their resistance to GMO's, especially Golden Rice, which could have saved millions of lives in Asia by adding Vitamin A to their diet.

"It’s one of the world’s most preventable tragedies. Every year, as many as 500,000 children go blind because their diet contains an insufficient amount of vitamin A. Half of these children will die prematurely, typically from diarrhea and measles. Many more will have stunted growth." - 

• Anti-GMO activists routinely label scientists and biotech supporters "shills for Monsanto." However, a new study suggests that those who spread GMO disinformation are the ones who are actually motivated by money.

The author needs to seriously re-evaluate his views.  While I agree these false vaccines, which are nothing more than gene altering compounds that haven't been property tested, are clearly dangerous and even deadly, but compounds when properly tested have created grand advances in medicine by gene editing. GMO's Are Not the Problem. They're the Answer! - Not only is GMO resistance unscientific and irrational, it's immoral.

A Chinese police station of our own

One has to turn to the national and international press for the news that Minneapolis may serve as the host to one of the six or seven clandestine Chinese “police stations” reportedly operating on American soil. The New York Post reports on the matter in “After FBI busts Chinese ‘police station’ in NYC, six more exposed in US” and the Daily Mail in “China may have up to six more ‘illegal police stations’ in the US – after FBI shut down Manhattan outpost used to ‘spy on and harass dissidents.'”

The Post cites the work of the nonprofit Safeguard Defenders in exposing the sites. It even includes the handy map below.  As is frequently the case, the story may come as a shock to readers who get their news from the Star Tribune if/when the paper gets around to it. We are glad to do the work the native paper won’t do.  The story reminds me of Traffic’s “Shanghai Noodle Factory.” I would alter the second line to go “place where I don’t want to be…” It’s also a place we don’t want in our back yard.............. A Secret Police Station Grows in Chinatown

There was a ramen restaurant offering spicy beef tendons on the ground floor and a spy base upstairs on a busy street in Manhattan’s Chinatown. When the FBI raided it last year, agents in dark blue shouldered their way past hole-in-the-wall produce stands selling cheap strawberries, ads for overseas mobile phone plans, and illicit gambling dens to search a secret police station.

Indictments charge that this police station did not belong to the NYPD, but China’s feared Ministry of Public Security. The men working there in the shadow of the rusted blue steel of the Manhattan Bridge were allegedly harassing and threatening Chinese Americans, organizing political events and donating to and meeting with local and national Democrat officials.

A handful of blocks away from police headquarters, federal court buildings, and the financial district where Wall Street’s brokers play with billions a day, sits a slice of Chinatown where elderly men still ride shaky bicycles and tiny elderly women carrying giant sacks of recycled cans on their backs pass by. An artist offers cartoonish sketches of Mao alongside Madonna and musicians squat on sidewalks playing haunting airs on stringed lutes.

While most New Yorkers think of Chinatown as being all one place, there are actually strict divisions between the generations of immigrants, mainlanders who predate the Communist takeover and later arrivals who are divided by language and politics. The feuds between these two groups across tenement property lines and community groups have been as furious as they have been invisible to the rest of the city. And it’s a struggle in which the new Communist arrivals with their superior numbers and political connections have won not only in Manhattan, but in San Francisco, Los Angeles and in other parts of the country served by the covert buses ferrying illegal migrants from city to city from depots near the illegal secret police station.

Where Cuban exiles mobilized and made Cuban Americans a bastion of anti-Communism despite aggressive and energetic efforts by Cuban intelligence operatives, traditional immigrant ‘Chinatowns’ (which represent a minority a the Chinese-American population in America) are dominated by Communist front groups to whom Democrat elected officials owe their allegiance.

Such was allegedly the case with 107 E. Broadway where the America Changle Association shared space with an acupuncturist, a restaurant and a handful of other typical neighborhood businesses. Prosecutors allege that the America Changle Association housed the secret Chinese police station which used its premises to coordinate with China’s Ministry of Public Security and to threaten opponents and fugitives from the brutal Communist regime.

The Changle district of the Chinese city of Fuzhou provides most of the cheap migrant labor for the sweatshops and restaurants in Chinatown. The Fuzhounese come in, sometimes legally and sometimes illegally, and then are bused to work in Chinese restaurants across America. If you’ve seen Chinese dishwashers who don’t speak English furiously scrubbing in the back of some red-and-gold painted eatery with Fu Dog statues out front, the odds are that they’re from Changle. And that they barely know that they’re in the United States of America.

The Chinese city of Fuzhou had allegedly set up the spy operation in Little Fuzhou. To most New Yorkers, the street it was on looks like just another packed Chinatown thoroughfare, but within Chinatown, East Broadway is the ‘broadway’ of Little Fuzhou. At the borders, the Cantonese of the older Chinese-Americans confronts the Fujianese of the new arrivals. And the Cantonese speakers have been delighted to see the FBI raid on one of the epicenters of Fujianese power in Chinatown. Local papers and TV stations have talked of little else.

They hope that the FBI raid on Little Fuzhou last year and the recent indictment of two men, Chen Jinping (no known relation to President Xi “Pooh” Jinping) and “Harry” Lu Jianwang, will be the beginning of a larger reckoning. But that may be excessively optimistic. Secret police stations are one thing but the America Changle Association has political connections to Mayor Eric Adams and most Democrat politicians, local or national, who represent the area.

At one America Changle Association event, Democrat politicians and representatives for Rep. Grace Meng were in attendance. Figures associated with the Fuzhou group were shown to have donated to Adams, Meng, as well as her father, Jimmy Meng, a Democrat state assemblyman who was sent to prison after soliciting an $80,000 bribe inside a fruit basket. Other recipients included Rep. Judy Chu, on whose behalf Chinese spy Fang Fang helped organize a town hall.

If all of these stories seem small, it’s because law enforcement is barely touching the tip of a political iceberg that could shred the country. Earlier this year, Canadian Security Intelligence Service documents leaked revealing that similar setups of immigrant association groups had been used to work to elect Trudeau and his Liberal Party. The secret papers exposed “undeclared cash donations” and “having business owners hire international Chinese students and ‘assign them to volunteer in electoral campaigns on a full-time basis.’”

Chinese diplomatic institutions were helping set up community associations and then mobilizing them to help the political candidates favored by Beijing, Trudeau and his Liberals, win.

It would be foolish to pretend that this is not happening in America. Had the CSIS materials not leaked, no one would know how Trudeau and his leftists were really elected. And, barring an FBI leak, we likely won’t learn what the Bureau really knows about China’s interference in our elections. And even if we do, China’s political puppets have learned to shout “racism” over any measure from expelling ChiCom spies to investigating research theft to banning TikTok.

The alleged secret police station in Little Fuzhou is one piece in a much larger political operation. And while the DOJ and the FBI have stepped in to resist China’s long standing practice of conducting police state operations on American soil, they aren’t about to blow up the secret relationship between Democrat elected officials and Communist front community groups.

The secret base above a ramen place was typical of Beijing’s operationalizing of its mass migration to western nations. Consulates coordinate community groups which become elected local and then national officials. Businessmen funded by the Chinese government and its oligarchs become community leaders, donate to politicians and set the agenda for Chinatown.

And that agenda becomes the Democrat agenda.

Harassing political dissidents, threatening violence against them and their families, organizing pro-China rallies, all things that “Harry” Lu Jianwang was accused of doing, are small stuff in the bigger picture. Last year, David Wenwei Chou opened fire in a Taiwanese church in Laguna Woods, California. Chou had been a director of Las Vegas Chinese for Peaceful Unification: allegedly a chapter of the China Council for the Promotion of Peaceful National Reunification.

How many other Chinese Communist operatives would be willing to carry out terrorist attacks in this country in the event of hostilities? And what are Beijing’s plans for operationalizing them?

Such questions may not be asked even though plenty of patriotic Chinese-Americans have put them forward and warned that Communist infiltration presents a grave threat to their country.

Meanwhile, the secret police station near the Manhattan Bridge where the subway passes in a rattling show of sparks overhead has closed. Another one will open in its place. Little Fuzhou continues to grow and there will be no shortage of waiters with nothing to eat and struggling businessmen watching their loans balloon with the interest rates who will happily sign up as “volunteers” to serve the Ministry of Public Security. There will be knocks on tenement doors in the dead of night, red flyers, threats outside restaurants where roasted pigs and chickens hang spread out in the windows, and perhaps even a disappearance or two that will go unresolved.

And some of the same operatives will lend a hand and some cash for the Democrats.

Big-name Democrats larded up with campaign donations from now-busted Chinese police station operatives

Earlier this week, the FBI busted a secret Chinese police station in lower Manhattan, one of at least six China's government brazenly operates on U.S. soil, arresting two Americans running it as foreign agents. The Chicoms put these illegal operations up, claiming they were just helpful government offices for Chinese nationals renew their drivers' licenses. In reality, they were Orwellian secret police outfits whose purpose was to hunt down and terrify dissidents who'd fled China, letting them know that there's no getting away from the long arm of the communist dictatorship.

Rather than keep the operation discreet, two of the men running it were out there in the social swing of things, palsy-walsy with the city's Democrat elite, posing for pictures with top pols such as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Mayor Eric Adams, and donating more than $32,000 in campaign contributions to leading Democrats' election coffers..............To Read More...

So are these donors true believers in the far-left causes advocated by the Democrat party such that they place party needs above personal needs? Commendably, O'Keefe and his colleagues didn't merely engage in speculation and conjecture.  They did what most modern journalists hesitate to do: they left the comforts of offices and actually did some investigative reporting on the scene of the occurrences. Democrats are using police to protect their power grabs, April 11, 2023 - Democrats don't like the police, but they are more than willing to use them to enforce their abuses of power and overstepping of authority.  A recent example of this is how police are used to help Democrats violate freedom of speech and freedom of assembly and the civil rights of Christians because Democrats don't like their opinions. Secret China Police Stations Discovered in New York City

This video,  Secret China police stations discovered in New York City, appeared last week, and it turns out this isn't just New York.  It appears, China has opened overseas police stations in US and Canada to monitor Chinese citizens,which the police in Canada are now investigating.

China has opened dozens of "overseas police service stations" around the globe to monitor its citizens living abroad, including one location in New York City and three in Toronto.

"These operations eschew official bilateral police and judicial cooperation and violate the international rule of law, and may violate the territorial integrity in third countries involved in setting up a parallel policing mechanism using illegal methods," reads a report by Safeguard Defenders, a human rights watchdog, released earlier this month.

The report, titled "110 Overseas: Chinese Transnational Policing Gone Wild," details China's extensive efforts to combat "fraud" by its citizens living overseas, in part by opening several police stations on five continents that have assisted Chinese authorities in "carrying out policing operations on foreign soil."

It appears  China has opened dozens of  overseas police service stations" around the globe to monitor its citizens living abroad in order to target dissidents perpetrating what the Chinese government is calling "fraud". 

China has reportedly established dozens of “overseas police stations” in nations around the world that activists fear could be used to track and harass dissidents as part of Beijing’s crackdown on corruption.  Information about the outposts underscored concerns about the ruling Chinese Communist Party’s influence over its citizens abroad, sometimes in ways deemed illegal by other countries, as well as the undermining of democratic institutions and the the theft of economic and political secrets by bodies affiliated with the one-party state.\

And these nations aren't happy about this.  Netherlands probes 'illegal' Chinese police stations. 

Dutch media reports that overseas Chinese police centers are putting "pressure on dissident Chinese." An NGO report says that Bejing has such centers in "dozens of countries across five continents."  

 

In this article by By Lily Zhou, Ireland Orders Closure of Chinese Police ‘Service Station’ in Dublin, she states: 

An unofficial Chinese police station in Dublin has been told to shut down, the Irish government confirmed on Wednesday. Safeguard Defenders, a human rights NGO that uncovered the existence of the overseas Chinese police stations last month, applauded the Irish government for taking a “great first step” while urging it to investigate “the wider issue at stake.” The so-called service station, which shares an address with a Chinese supermarket in Dublin, is one of the dozens of such stations peppered around Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, according to a Safeguard Defenders report published on Nov. 13.

While the Chinese government tries to claim these "stations" were set up to provide services for Chinese citizens living abroad, it's clear these are illegal international spy cells set up to intimidate these immigrants, and it's worked.  It's claimed "230,000 Chinese nationals had been “persuaded to return” to face criminal proceedings in China." Their crimes?  They say unkind things about the Chinese Communist Party, no matter how true they may be, like possibly exposing their crimes against humanity?  Imagine that! 

The author goes on to state:

Authorities in other countries, including Canada, Spain, and the Netherlands, have also started investigating the police stations.  On Monday, the U.S. Department of Justice announced charges against 10 Chinese intelligence officers and officials over three separate cases, including one involving allegedly coercing a Chinese dissident to return to China.  The UK government on Oct. 18 introduced legislation which, if becomes law, will require foreign agents to register their activities in the UK.

The arrogance of the Chinese Communist Party is mind boggling, but more importantly, these kind of strategies make it clear China is the world's number one enemy, economically, militarily and philosophically, and I think this is going to back fire on them.  

Also, I think the fact Xi is again going to continue to rule China, probably forever now, is a good thing.  Because Xi didn't rise to the pinnacle of power in China because of merit.  He rose through the ranks via nepotism and chicanery.  The fact is, he's not the brightest pebble in the brook, and he's as arrogant, ruthless and incompetent as was Mao, and will be leading them down an economic and social path to their detriment, and to the advantage of the rest of the world.
