You Must Assume That All Information Put Out By Our Government Is Corrupt

Throughout the agencies of our federal government, an important function is to issue data and information about the state of the country. These data cover a vast array of topics such as population, demographics, income and poverty, the state of the economy, the GDP, employment and unemployment, activities of foreign adversaries, weather and climate, energy production and use, and much, much more. The Congress and states use this information in making important public policy decisions, and the people use it to make decisions for their everyday lives. Not the least of those decisions is how to vote.

So is the information issued by the government basically honest and reliable for important decisions? Or, instead, is the output of official information cynically manipulated and corrupted by a government interested mainly in perpetuating and increasing its own power? And given that the federal bureaucracy is 90+% Democrat in political orientation, to what extent does that bureaucracy manipulate the information it issues to further the election of Democrats?

The evidence of data manipulation in favor of Democrats is so pervasive that we have to assume that essentially all information put out by the government is corrupt.

The instances of blatant manipulation of information by government personnel are way too clear and way too widespread to be ignored. What is now being called the “Twitter files” — shocking evidence of the FBI working with a big tech company to limit the circulation of information about corruption by one of the presidential candidates in the run-up to the 2020 election — is just one of the latest examples. Let’s have a review of some others:

Manipulation of temperature data to support the narrative of human-caused climate change.

Long-time readers here are undoubtedly familiar with my series, now of some 30 parts, on what I call the Greatest Scientific Fraud Of All Time. The headline refers to the alteration by U.S. bureaucrats of historical climate records to make it appear that temperatures have closely tracked the ongoing increase in CO2 in the atmosphere, when in fact the actual temperature readings show the opposite. The U.S. climate bureaucracies NASA and NOAA regularly put out excited press releases about the most recent month or year being the “hottest on record,” or something like that. But anybody can go to past information releases to find that those statements only hold if one accepts alteration of prior information to support the narrative.

My October 20, 2020 post contained the ultimate smoking gun: two NASA charts of U.S. temperatures, one from 1999 and the other from 2019, clearly showing the alteration of early-year temperatures to support the claim that the most recent years are the warmest. Here are those two charts:

In NASA’s data in 1999, 1934 was the warmest year in the U.S. temperature record, about 0.6 deg C (1 deg F) warmer than 1998; 1921, 1931 and 1953 were also warmer than 1998. By 2019, 1998 had somehow become the warmest year, through the magical cooling of the earlier years. And thus do we get a claim that there is some kind of dangerous warming going on that requires a full transformation of the U.S. and world energy system, all under the direction of the all-knowing bureaucrats.

Manipulation of poverty data to support demands for ever-increasing amounts of anti-poverty programs and funding

Look under my tag for Poverty, and you will find one post after another detailing how government poverty statistics showing high rates of poverty in the U.S. are used to support advocacy for increasing programs and funding supposedly to reduce the poverty; and then after the programs and funding are increased the measured poverty never goes down. We’re now up to well over $1 trillion per year in anti-poverty funding in the U.S. (all levels of government), and the official “poverty rate” as measured is right around the same place it was when the War on Poverty started back in the 1960s.

How is this possible? The very simple trick is that the government “anti-poverty” funding never gets counted when official poverty is measured The statistics are very intentionally and cynically manipulated to be misused to advocate for growing government programs and dependency.

The latest iteration of this scam has been going on for the last several months, and continues in the so-called Omnibus bill even now making its way through Congress, in the form of a vastly expanded child tax credit. Claims are everywhere, including from President Biden personally, that the expanded child tax credit has or will cut child poverty in the U.S. “in half,” or something in that range. A release from the Census Bureau itself on September 13 bragged that the expanded child tax credit had “contributed to a 46% decline in child poverty since 2020,” to a rate of only 5.2%.

But by October 4 the Census Bureau was back to its old tricks:

The child poverty rate (for people under age 18) was 16.9% in 2021, 4.2 percentage points higher than the national rate. . . .

Wait a minute — what happened? Easy — they keep two sets of books on the “poverty” rate, the better to manipulate the gullible and under-informed public. Here they just reverted to the other measure of “poverty” where tax credits don’t count when they want to run up big “poverty” figures to support advocacy for yet more government spending and programs.

Try looking through that October 4 release to see if you can find any mention that they were bragging just a few weeks previously about the clild poverty rate having been reduced to 5.2%. It’s not there.

Manipulation of employment figures in the run-up to the 2022 mid-term election

John Hinderaker at PowerLine yesterday has yet another instance of blatant government manipulation of official statistics to support election of Democrats, this one coming out of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In early July 2022 the BLS reported a big number for job growth in the second quarter (April to June) of over 1 million jobs. That supposed job growth became the centerpiece of President Biden’s economic message for the midterms. The Hill quoted Biden on July 28 as follows:

Our job market remains historically strong, with . . . more than 1 million jobs created in the second quarter alone.

On December 13 the Research Department of the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank came out with revised figures for second quarter job growth:

In the aggregate, 10,500 net new jobs were added during the [March to June] period rather than the 1,121,500 jobs estimated by the sum of the states; the U.S. CES [Current Employment Statistics, put out by BLS] estimated net growth of 1,047,000 jobs for the period.

Off by a factor of about 100. Oh well, it’s now December, and we’re well past the election.

Does any agency in the U.S. government put out honest information today? Maybe, but how would you ever know? At this point you must assume that that absolutely everything is corrupted, in the particular direction of supporting election of Democrats and further growth of the government.

Do we even remember the months of the Russian collusion lies? The daily fare that in one hour or so Trump would be indicted and frog-marched, and the next hour he would turn state’s evidence? That Russians were in constant communications with the Trump campaign, that Carter Page was a Trump Russian “asset”? The Alpha Bank Russian computer pings? That Brennan and Clapper winked and nodded to us about their secret sources that proved Trump was going down.

How about the “end of Trump” Michael Cohen “bombshells”? The Glenn Simpson courageous investigations? The brilliant Christopher Steele? The furrowed brows and pained looks of our best and brightest news readers talking of “bombshells” and end-of-the-world “walls are closing in” epitaphs for the Trump family? 

How much wasted time, money, and resources went into James Comey’s various “operations” or into “Bob” Mueller’s 22 months of chasing his own tail? Or the wasted reportage on the DNC/Perkins Coie/Fusion GPS/Christopher Steele dossier firewalls, all leading back to the checkbook of an embittered Hillary Clinton, forever braying about a “stolen election,” which meant paying Steele to blame the Russians hadn’t worked?

The Satanic Andrew Cuomo Deification

Over last summer and early fall 2020, Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo reached mythic media proportions. His ingratitude was enshrined as New York, “get-used-to-it, buddy” chutzpah. Yes, he momentarily feigned gratitude that Trump had listened to his hysterical daily rantings about the streets littered with corpses unless, right now, immediately, Trump sent a hospital ship, a tent-city hospital, thousands of ventilators, and protective equipment. 

And Cuomo got them all. Yet mysteriously he did not seem to use them much. As the 2020-election campaign geared up and his name was dropped as a key cabinet secretary or even VP, Cuomo dropped his daily attacks on the hapless Mayor De Blasio and turned on his former benefactor Trump. Or as NPR put it, “The regular briefings helped buoy his approval ratings in New York and make him perhaps the country’s most recognizable Democratic leader in the struggle against COVID-19.”

Cuomo seemed to ride a perfect summer of better luck. No one yet really knew about his Dr. Death rerouting of infectious Covid-19 patients into the Petri-dish confines of long-term health care facilities, where thousands of weak and elderly were simply wiped out by his executive order. 

And the first coronavirus spike was seemingly over. Summer was passing with fewer cases, and Cuomo was yakking it up with his professional journalist brother Chris on CNN as they misled the country about their respective lack of ethics.........To Read More.....

 

Welcome to a Wilderness of Lie

Well, this is going to be cheery. Have you noticed that everything is a lie and a scam? Everything.

See, the problem starts when our elite realized that it could break the norms and betray the principles that we all thought we were all abiding by without accountability, at least for a little while. The Establishment realized that it can simply not enforce the norms, and then there will be a lag time while the normals continue on as if the norms were still in effect. It’s inertia – this is why you get these sad sack RINOs lecturing us on how we’re subverting the institutions when what we are really doing is pointing out that the institutions have subverted themselves.

It’s willful blindness to the corruption because the weak hearts don’t want to admit there is corruption because that would then require them to act. It’s easier to live on scraps.

As you read this, I expect that we will be hearing how the GOP blew Georgia. Either we lost Tuesday night – no delay in calling it for the commies! – or we’ll enter the endless recounts leading up to the inevitable Dem victory. I hope I’m wrong, but I doubt it. If I am, feel free to mock me for my lack of faith in the system. But then, sometimes you draw a five when you have 16 in blackjack. Now We Have Proof Dr. Fauci Is Full of Crap and Can't Be Trusted

According to a recent poll, two-thirds of voters trust Dr. Anthony Fauci, not President Trump, when it comes to information on the coronavirus.

Well, if you think you can trust Dr. Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, you now have every reason to question his judgment. In an interview with PBS NewsHour, Dr. Fauci, the trusted expert, actually lauded New York’s response to the coronavirus.
 
“We know that, when you do it properly, you bring down those cases. We have done it. We have done it in New York,” he told PBS’s Judy Woodruff. “New York got hit worse than any place in the world. And they did it correctly.”

I used to have faith in Dr. Fauci’s judgement, but that faith has waned over the past few months, and is now completely gone. How exactly does anyone look at what happened in New York and say that’s a model example for fighting the coronavirus?

According to the federal government's own COVID-19 data, 120,675 deaths in America have been tied to the virus. Tracked weekly by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, fatalities peaked on April 18, 2020, with 16,897 succumbing to the disease. (Keep in mind that many medical whistleblowers have reported that these statistics are inflated by including "COVID"-related deaths uncorroborated by lab results and also by including patients who died with COVID infections, but not necessarily from the virus itself.) Don't Be Fooled, Recent Coronavirus Data Suggests the Lockdowns Were a Colossal Mistake

In various states across the nation, there’s been a noticeable trend of an increase in coronavirus cases. While this fact makes the headlines, the detail that seems to get overlooked is the fact that deaths have declined. Florida, Arizona, Texas, California, and Ohio are among the states that have experienced spikes in cases but have maintained declining death rates or no spike in deaths.

How is this possible? Conventional wisdom suggests that a spike in cases should result in a spike in deaths, but that has not panned out. The protests and riots following George Floyd’s death have been going on for nearly a month now. Surely a spike in deaths should shave occurred by now. But so far, it hasn’t.

Why not?

According to Justin Hart, an information architect and data analyst from San Diego, “who” gets the virus is just as important as “how many” get the virus. “Right now the average age of infected cases has dropped nearly 20 years,” Hart told PJ Media.

White House Coronavirus Task Force Member Dr. Anthony Fauci acknowledged this fact last week:

“The overwhelming majority of people who are now getting infected are young people, like the people that you see in the clips in the paper or out in the crowds enjoying themselves.”

Why does this matter, you ask? Let me explain.

Coronavirus data says risk is low for most Americans.

Young people, possibly from the recent protests and riots, are likely behind the recent spike in cases, and that tells us a lot about why the data looks the way it does right now. According to the CDC’s current best estimate, the fatality rate of the coronavirus for symptomatic cases only are as follows:

• 0-49 years old: .05%
• 50-64 years old: .2%
• 65+ years old: 1.3%
• Overall ages: .4%

When you take into account that approximately 30% of coronavirus infections are asymptomatic, that drives the fatality rate down even further. “The risk of death for the general population of school and working age is typically in the range of a daily car ride to work,” notes Josh Ketter on Medium.

Professor Mark Woolhouse, an expert in infectious diseases in Scotland, led a study that determined current lockdown restrictions could be easily lifted as long the most vulnerable populations are left protected. According to Woolhouse, for the non-vulnerable population, the coronavirus is comparable to a “nasty flu.”

Lockdowns should have focused on protecting the vulnerable

What the data is clearly telling us is that the lockdowns were not implemented correctly. While there is a significant risk for the older, at-risk population, for those under 65 years of age, the economy could have been kept open. Schools didn’t have to close down, and “non-essential” businesses could have continued to serve the public, many of whom had as much a chance of dying from the coronavirus as they did dying on their daily commute, but the lockdowns kept everyone, including the young and healthy, at home. We could have worn masks out in public to help slow the spread and flatten the curve to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed. Life could have remained relatively normal, and the economy didn’t have to suffer the way it did.

“We knew early on that younger cohorts managed very well,” Hart explained to PJ Media. “We should have let that group thrive to keep the economy going while protecting the vulnerable.”

Protecting the vulnerable is where many, particularly New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, went wrong. On March 25, Cuomo ordered nursing homes to accept patients regardless of their coronavirus status. Even back then, it was known that the elderly were more vulnerable to the virus, so having coronavirus patients in nursing homes allowed the virus to spread like wildfire.  Cuomo tried to cover up his deadly mistake before ultimately rescinding the order on May 11.

Nursing home patients represent a mere .46 percent of the United States population but account for approximately 43 percent of all coronavirus deaths. States should have protected them better from the beginning. Had they, we could have had a more strategic approach to the coronavirus lockdowns that allowed businesses and schools to stay open while quarantining the vulnerable.

The one-size-fits-all approach was a mistake

If school and working-age Americans understood that their risk of dying from the coronavirus was roughly the same as it is of dying during a daily car ride, do you think they’d want to continue the lockdowns? I don’t think so. Whether people realize it or not, every day they are making an assessment of risk as they go about their lives. It was true before the coronavirus, during it, and it will continue to be afterward. Is it really worth being afraid of living given the extremely low risk of fatality for a majority of the population? We should redirect resources to protecting the vulnerable and let the rest of us get this country working again.

The United States isn’t alone

Israel is also experiencing a second wave of cases that is mostly occurring in younger people. Israel did not experience the protests and rioting we had in the United States, but bars, beaches, and school reopened, causing a spike in cases, but, as you can see from the graphs from Worldometer, no spike in deaths.
