And send the message that the right to vote isn’t a racial entitlement, it’s an American one.

Currently, the gerrymandering spotlight is on Texas. Guy Miller of North Carolina, who sends out a daily newswire on national and international events, shared: One reason that Texas is in such a political mess is that Texas Democrats are smarter than Republicans. Although they are in the minority in the legislature, the Democrats are the ones who elect the Republican leaders. They audition potential Republican leaders to determine which one will most effectively push their Democrat Party agenda. When the Democrats are unanimous behind their chosen Republican, the Republicans are too fragmented to manage a majority on their own, so the RINO Republican leadership works for the Democrats, who hire and fire them. That’s why the Democrats always control the Texas legislature. Redistricting in Texas became an issue when the DOJ Office of Civil Rights, under Harmeet Dhillon, notified the state that five of their Congressional districts are in violation of Federal laws for equal protection under the Constitution. Republicans in Texas know how to fix that, but the Democrats aren’t going to stand for losing any of their bogus Congressional seats. Truant Democrat legislators hiding in Illinois remain defiant in the face of Texas AG Ken Paxton’s threat to have them removed from office for failure to perform their sworn elected duty, in violation of Texas statutes. Texas wants our U.S. House of Representatives to be more representative while California prefers a communist-like preference. Democrats have always been the past masters at gerrymandering. It's what they do best... at least until President Trump came on the scene. The U.S. Congress basically had Democrats and RINOs with a few actual Republicans sprinkled throughout the GOP. Thanks to Trump morphing the party into America First Patriots, MAGA Republicans are pushing back at the insanity tossed to us by Democrats. For instance gerrymandering, which communist Democrats have made into an art form.
Per Vice President J.D. Vance: “The gerrymander in California is outrageous. Of their 52 congressional districts, nine of them are Republican. That means 17 percent of their delegation is Republican when Republicans regularly win 40 percent of the vote in that state. How can this be possibly allowed?”

Hair Gel’s plan is to hold a special election later in the year for Californians to vote on disbanding the CCRC and returning redistricting back to the state legislature. (Insert barf bag here.) Both voters and the legislature would have to approve this change, but no one likes Newsom, as he's so focused on further gerrymandering California and seemingly trying to run for President... all in order "to save democracy"... and all the while under his guiding hands California is turning into a third world toilet.
Many observers say the special election would just be a facade since Democrats in the state often count ballots until they get the desired results. How can anyone dispute the results since the state lacks election integrity.
North Korea might hold fairer elections than California. Still, Republicans in the state are intent on keeping the CCRC and there are some Democrats who also don’t want the legislature to decide redistricting.

Gov. Gavin Newsom of California announced a plan to end democracy to save democracy. Democracy, as everyone who watches CNN knows, is in a precarious state and urgently needs to be saved by protecting it from those who want to destroy it for the wrong reasons by destroying it for the right reasons. And the right reason is ending electoral democracy.
In that noble democratic spirit, California, where Republicans are occasionally allowed out in public, just not in the streets of major cities, announced plans to reduce the number of its 52 congressional seats that Republicans are allowed to hold in the state from 9 to 3. California has 5.7 million registered Republicans to 10.3 million registered Democrats (and another nearly 7 million people who refuse to choose a political party despite the best efforts of the DMV, the Department of Cannabis Control and Jimmy Kimmel Live!) and Trump won 38% of the vote there which means that statistically Republicans ought to have more seats than that even if all they did was run a random masked guy named Bob in every single election. Instead, California has state primaries, including Senate races, in which Democrats compete against other Democrats, as if the state were run by Communist China (instead of merely being used as a model and stash house by a succession of Democrat governors.) How do California Democrats, who make up 45% of registered voters, control 82% of the congressional seats and all of the state government? Fraud, the use of taxpayer-funded community groups for political organizing to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars and also massive gerrymandering of a kind that would have made any machine Democrat from a century ago weep tears of shame and then hide out in a cemetery to consult with his voters. Now, Gov. Gavin Newsom is proposing to take the Democrats from controlling a mere 82% of congressional seats to controlling 94% of congressional seats. To put that into context, this is a more extreme domination by an authoritarian ruling party than in Communist China. In the National People’s Congress, only 86% of the delegates belong to the Chinese Communist Party (while the others, like members of the DSA and the WFP in America, belong to organizations controlled by the Communist Party). Even Vladimir Putin settled for 88% of the vote. Newsom looked at China and Russia, and decided that he could do better and go for 94%. There are minor technical issues with Newsom’s plan: it’s unconstitutional, illegal and makes California look like Russia with more bleached blondes. In 2008, and a last gasp of actual democracy, a majority of Californians voted in favor of Proposition 11, to add a constitutional amendment creating an independent commission to control redistricting. In 2010, 59.5% of voters voted to have that commission set congressional districts. The commission, which currently includes Isra Ahmad, formerly of the Division of Equity & Social Justice on the ‘independent’ side, and Sara Sadhwani of CHIRLA, the group linked to the recent illegal alien riots, on the Democrat side, is a farce. But at least it’s a constitutional farce. Unsatisfied with how gerrymandered the not especially independent commission already made California, Gov. Newsom would like to sideline even the pretense of any kind of legal system and seize control over redistricting to eliminate the 38% of the state’s voters who backed Trump (electorally for now, perhaps more definitively down the road) by either asking voters to sideline the commission (previous Dem efforts to do that have failed) or by simply ignoring the commission on the theory that the threat to democracy is too grave to allow for democracy. “We’re in a different moment right now. Texas Republicans are rigging the game for 2026. We’re not going to play by the same old rules if it means risking democracy,” Gov. Newsom declared. The rules being the rule of law. Talk of Republicans gerrymandering Texas to create more Republican seats serves as the pretext, but Texas has 25 Republican seats and 12 Democrat seats. If Republican redistricting plans go through, then Democrats would have as many seats in Texas as Republicans do in California. Newsom isn’t protesting unfairness, he’s protesting the idea of Democrats in Texas being treated the way that Republicans are in California. And his form of protest is to double down on gerrymandering, which he deplores in Texas, but celebrates in California. When Republicans gerrymander, it threatens democracy, but when Democrats gerrymander, they’re saving democracy. This makes sense if you understand democracy, not as one man, woman or xer with one vote, but Democrats winning every election and controlling everything. It’s easy to tell whether Texas or California is more (small d) democratic by the behavior of their minority parties. Democrats have a longtime project for flipping Texas while Republicans have given up on flipping California. Democrats clearly believe there’s more democracy in Texas than Republicans believe that there is in California. Democracy doesn’t need saving in Texas, but it long ago signed a DNR form and made out its last will and testament in California. And not just California. “States where Democrats would have complete control over any redistricting, such as Illinois and Maryland, are already gerrymandered heavily in their favor. Squeezing more Democratic seats out of those states would be a challenge,” the New York Times admitted. “At this moment, it seems very clear that self defense is something we have to put as a priority,” House Majority Leader David Moon warned, threatening to open redistricting to kill the single Republican seat left in Maryland. In Maryland, where Trump won 34% of the vote, there are eight congressional seats with just one of them held by a Republican for 87% Democrat control. Moon is proposing 100% one party control.for numbers in line with Kim Jong Un’s numbers over in Moon’s neighboring North Korea In Illinois, where Trump won 43% of the vote, there are 14 Democrats and only 3 Republicans for 82% control by the ruling party. Even if Texas were to go ahead with its plan, it would be at 78% Republican control. But is Texas really gerrymandering or undoing gerrymanders inflicted by partisan implementation of the Voting Rights Act and the creation of majority-minority Democrat ‘coalition’ districts? The erosion of VRA enforced gerrymandering has made it more possible to not base districts on the skin color of the people living in them. And while gerrymandering is corrupt, racial gerrymandering combines racism and corruption for something even more toxic. The Democrats aren’t protesting gerrymandering in Texas, they’re protecting it, even while threatening to gerrymander their states harder until there’s nothing left except Democrats. “Never bring a knife to a gunfight,” Gov. Phil Murphy of New Jersey threatened, as the slimy former Goldman Sachs tycoon tried to sound like a movie mobster. “We’re from Jersey, baby, and we won’t be laying down.” Trump won 46% of the vote in New Jersey. The state’s congressional delegation has 9 Democrats and 3 Republicans even though there are 1.6 million registered Republicans to 2.3 million registered Democrats along with 2.5 million unaffiliated voters. When 36% of the voters control 75% of the seats, the only place Murphy should be lying down (and should have been in all along) is the same place the mobsters he’s initiating were sent to. Even the media has been forced to admit that the Democrat threats to super-gerrymander their states if Texas redistricts are hollow because they’re already as gerrymandered as they can go. The only way to push their one-party control even further is by, as Newsom is proposing to do, bypassing constitutional and legal blocks to seize total control and create one-party states.That would end democracy, but sometimes you have to destroy democracy to save democracy.

If blue states were represented in Congress based on how their citizens voted in presidential elections, there would be fewer Democrats and more Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives. This is why communist Democrats are violently upset that Texas is planning a mid-decade redistricting update and other red states are considering the same. With many blue states already gerrymandered into a lopsided Democrat congressional majority, Democrats can’t go tit-for-tat with Texas.
Except maybe California.
California Gov. Gavin “Hair Gel” Newsom, who thinks he would make a great president (insert laughter here), would like to copy Texas’s plans for redistricting between census counts. However, Herr dictator has a problem.
In 2008, voters approved creating the California Citizens Redistricting Commission (CCRC) to make the process fairer. Using the most recent Census report, every 10 years, CCRC creates a new district map that supposedly makes the population more evenly represented in the U.S. House and state legislature. Unlike Texas, where Governor Greg Abbott could call a special session to create a new redistricting map, Gov. Hair Gel can’t do the same.

North Korea might hold fairer elections than California.
Still, Republicans in the state are intent on keeping the CCRC, and there are some Democrats who also don’t want the legislature to decide redistricting.

Consider what has transpired in the past few weeks and ask yourself which political party is acting like petulant children. Earlier this year, the Justice Department found that four Texas districts drawn in 2021 are “unconstitutionally racially biased” because they violate the equal protection clause and “must be rectified immediately.”
Hans von Spakovsky, an election law expert at the Heritage Foundation, notes that not only did those Texas districts violate the Constitution, but the boundaries they drew in 2021 were based on faulty 2020 Census data, which had missed half a million Texans, and didn’t reflect the influx of 2 million people over the past five years. So, the state redrew districts to pass constitutional muster and reflect the reality of Texas’ population, which, because it ends up creating more Republican-favored districts, sparked an unhinged national outrage.............The reason they are acting this way is that – after decades of being coddled by the media, entertainers, academia, and rich benefactors – they suddenly find themselves on the losing end of political winds sweeping the nation. It's been interesting to watch the "Party of the Extreme" rant and rail at Republicans for doing what they've been doing for most of my adult life, gerrymander in order to get more Democrats elected than rightly should be elected, mostly based on race, and with approval of the courts based on the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which was on a collision course with the Constitution, and SCOTUS partially gutted in 2012 with their Shelby County v. Holder decision noting that:
The fact is Title VI of the Civil Rights Act targets "intentional" racial discrimination, not "neutral policies untainted by racial intent that happen to lead to racially disproportionate outcomes," ....."There’s a big difference between prohibiting racial discrimination and endorsing disparate impact theory. ... It’s the difference between securing equality of opportunity regardless of race and guaranteeing equality of outcome based on race. It’s the difference between color blindness and critical race theory........."
So much for Eric Holder's claim Texas' map is in violation of the Voting Right Act, and as for Obama, he's against gerrymandering, but only when it's not to his party's advantage.
The Democrats have fled the state in order to prevent a quorum, thus preventing a vote on redistricting. Texas has faced this before and beat them, and Governor Abbot's not going to have it this time either. His options are to issue warrants for their arrest forcing them back to vote, remove them from office, and in the past he stopped paying them, and even fining them $500 dollars a day.
Abbot calls their flight Dereliction of Duty, noting that:
In any other field, military, law enforcement, or medicine, willful abandonment of one’s duties in a time of need is not tolerated. In fact, it’s punished. If a firefighter left his station during a five-alarm blaze, the firefighter would be discharged. If a soldier abandoned his post during battle, he would be court-martialed, with two returning in fear of losing their seats. Texas Attorney General Paxton announced on Tuesday he was seeking "judicial orders declaring that state Democrats who do not return to the legislature by the state House speaker's deadline have vacated their offices.
Abbot has enlisted the aid of FBI director Kash Patel to track down these misfits in order to have them extradited, but they've fled to states where Governors are harboring them, and that makes it unlikely extradition will happen.
By the way, did anyone think to ask who's paying for all this? Well, it turns out it is the man who can't seem to get elected to any office in Texas, Beto O'Rourke through his PAC fund! It also turns out that's quite possibly illegal, so he and his Democrat pals could face criminal charges.
Lawmakers who flee Texas to prevent the state legislature from having enough members to pass laws are subject to $500-a-day fines under Texas house rules, which also prevent walkout participants from soliciting political contributions to pay those fines. Republican governor Greg Abbott has said that “any other person who ‘offers, confers, or agrees to confer'” such contributions to the “fleeing Democrat House members” may be in violation of state bribery laws.

The state’s new gerrymandered congressional map seems hell-bent on making Republican congressmen from Illinois an endangered species. Five Republicans are in Illinois’s U.S. House delegation, but that was apparently too many for the Democrats, who were in charge of Illinois redistricting last fall. They drew a map that packed all five Republicans into just three congressional districts.
The Democrats are going nuclear over this and want to gerrymander their states to make sure more Democrats are elected, which should be interesting as their states are already so heavily gerrymandered it might be impossible to make it any worse, and Massachusetts is one of them. In a state with over seven million people there's not not Republican representing them in the House of Representatives. The fact is Democrats are tapped out with not enough states to gerrymander in their favor, and with declining populations they're being drained of support. Which is why they're freaking out since in five years the new census will also drain these states of seats in the House of Representatives.
States considering redistricting are Texas, with 5 seats going Republican, Florida with 3-5 seats going Republican, Ohio with 2 seats going Republican, but the Ohio Supreme Court has interfered over an over again in the past in favor of Democrats, so that remains to be seen. Indiana with 1-2 seats Republican, Missouri with one 1 seat Republican, and California with 5 seats going Democrat, and New York is wanting to change the State's Constitution to authorize a new map to gerrymander the way their state is supposed to be gerrymandered. Less Republicans and more Democrats.
The Democrat's goal is to retake the House and grind Trump's initiatives into the ground and impeach him again...and again... and again. However, gerrymandering may be the least of the Democrat's problems, as now lawsuits are proceeding against California and Illinois over corrupted voter rolls.
Federal courts have allowed two lawsuits to proceed against California and Illinois to force them to clean up their voter rolls. Democrats have been engaging in election fraud for well over a century and a half, but I don’t think any of us understood the extent of the election integrity problem in our day until the last few election cycles. One aspect of potential fraud is the presence of 'dirty names' on voter rolls—individuals who are not legally allowed to be there, whether because they are illegal aliens, deceased, or disqualified for other reasons. Those are the names Judicial Watch and two other organizations are suing to remove in two deep blue states.
If these suits are successful expect to see a lot more of them.
But hey, why worry, be happy, Paul Begala assures Democrats they will win massively with a “40-seat landslide" in the Midterms. I've met Begala, nice man, and very bright, which must mean he no more believes that than the man in the moon.

NEW: Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton Launches Investigation into a George Soros-Funded PAC for Illegally Funding Runaway Dems - Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton may have uncovered one of the parties responsible for helping Texas Democrats flee the state on Sunday to stop mid-term redistricting. On Thursday, Paxton issued a press release revealing that he is investigating the Texas Majority PAC (TMP), a George Soros-funded PAC, for illegally funding its activities. How unsurprising to learn that the most notorious Democrat funder almost certainly has his fingerprints all over this stunt. “I’ve just launched an investigation into a Soros-funded PAC for unlawfully funding runaway Democrats,” Paxton wrote on X. “If Texas lawmakers are bowing to the Soros Slush Fund rather than the will of the voters, Texans deserve to know.”.....
