The Bondi Conundrum: George Zimmerman!

 By Rich Kozlovich, Tags,

Every Saturday I post a P&D and The Week That Was listing all the commentaries I posted all week, along with a monologue outlining things going on in the world as I see them.  In last week's edition I discussed Matt Gaetz withdrawing his nomination as AG, saying:

......well, it's over for Matt Gaetz, he's withdrawn his nomination.  Did he do what they claimed?  I have no idea, but this is a game the left plays constantly, and one that's so often been exposed as lies, so these kind of claims have far less influence than in past years.   As AG he would have had the mad dog in the meat market mentality the nation needs...

I went on to discuss the new nominee, Pam Bondi, who allegedly has that same mentality.  But does she?  I did a bit of research on her, and while she's talented, smart, tough, competent, and a true Trump supporter, I don't see a mad dog in a meat market mentality, but she'll quite likely will be confirmed, and I noted I would have more on her as this story developed.  While she seemingly had all the right people against her, it appears she may have all the wrong people for her, the RINO's like her, even Ana Navarro of The View defends her.

As I said, I would have more on her, well, here it comes starting with this article by Mike McDaniel.  What you don't know, and need to know, about Pam Bondi.

Mike McDaniel goes on to "properly and factually" describe the events as they occurred, in the Zimmerman/Martin case.  Trayvon Martin was a thug, a doper, and a thief with a violent history, who the media turned into a saint, and the Hollywood trash calling him a "child" since allegedly he was 17 .  Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch captain, following police instructions tried to keep Martin in sight, but lost him, until he jumped out of hiding and attacked Zimmerman, a much smaller man, and was beating his head into the cement, so Zimmerman shot him to save his life.   McDaniel gores on to say:

..........the trial was utterly backward. The four special prosecutors argued emotion and racial strife, while the defense argued the evidence and law. Prosecution witnesses supported the defense(!) and the defense constantly brought out facts and evidence prosecutors tried to hide from the jury.............Why does a case 12 years past matter now?

Because Pam Bondi, then Florida’s Attorney General, is Donald Trump’s nominee for US Attorney General.  Knowing it was a case of self-defense, she appointed a corrupt special prosecutor and arranged for two biased, corrupt judges — one was so obvious he was disqualified -- who did their best to convict Zimmerman.  She enabled the race hustlers that destroyed George Zimmerman’s life and plunged America into a racial morass from which it has not yet recovered. At the time, she basked in that destructive glory.

I recently corresponded with someone who said, "Bondi's role on the Zimmerman case was not unlike Pontius Pilate's in the Jesus case. Not her best moment", and I think that's being entirely too kind to Bondi.

In this article, President Trump Nominates Pam Bondi for U.S. Attorney General – The Deep Swamp Smiles, the author goes into great detail describing what actually happened, how Zimmerman was vilely treated, in spite of the fact all witnesses sided with Zimmerman's story, none of which ever made it in the media, and shows just how contemptuous Bondi really was.

To promote this as a racial incident a PR firm was hired, "to create media pressure...... [requesting] support from groups like Al Sharpton, Dream Defenders, and allies in the DOJ.  That approach led to AG Eric Holder and eventually President Barack Obama."  Due to all the evidence in Zimmerman's favor, neither the police or the prosecutor charged him with a crime.  Enter Pam Bondi, who got the governor to bypass them and appoint a special prosecutor, which is much to Rick Scott's shame.

Pam Bondi was part of that fraudulent prosecution architecture. In fact, without her origination the state case against Zimmerman was non-existent.  Everything told about the Trayvon Martin shooting was a lie, including his age, the “skittles and iced-tea” story, this background criminal record, Trayvon’s known drug use, and just about everything else.  It was all an entirely manufactured Lawfare case, pushed to a compliant media.

They even "manufactured" a false girlfriend who was a false witness:

They literally put a fabricated witness on the stand.  Attorney General Pam Bondi knew all about it, in real time, as the false witness was being created and flown back and forth from Miami to Jacksonville in order to try and get some form of story aligned.  Let me be very clear.  Florida AG Pam Bondi knew that her special prosecutor, Angela Corey, and her friend, Benjamin Crump, had manufactured an entirely false and fictitious witness against George Zimmerman.......she never authored the supposed statement attributed to her; heck, she couldn’t even read it, and she was NEVER Trayvon Martin’s girlfriend.

How can she be expected to purge a corrupt DOJ and a corrupt FBI since she's one of them? Make no mistake, the swamp knows all that went on, and I'm sure they have all the correspondence between all the parties and they'll use all that against her once she's confirmed as AG.

Pam Bondi was willing to imprison an obviously innocent man, "in order to achieve a racially equitable political outcome that would assist their careers."  This case was a window into the deepest recesses of her character.  It was unforgivable, and there's no walking back from it.

She needs to be publicly confronted with all of this.

Biden Criminalizes CRT Dissent

The administration has mobilized the FBI against parents who oppose critical race theory.

Christopher F. Rufo October 6, 2021

In an official memo, Attorney General Merrick Garland has pledged to mobilize the FBI against parents protesting critical race theory in public schools, citing unspecified “threats of violence” against school officials.

Garland’s memo follows a National School Boards Association request that the Biden administration investigate threats to school board members and classify sometimes-heated parent protests as “domestic terrorism.” The NSBA suggested that some of these parents should be prosecuted under the PATRIOT Act and federal hate-crimes legislation.

The school board association letter, however, is riddled with falsehoods, errors, and exaggerations. It begins with the claim that “critical race theory is not taught in public schools,” despite a vast body of evidence, including my own reporting, showing that the teaching of CRT is widespread in public schools. Even the national teachers’ union has admitted as much and called for CRT’s implementation in all 50 states........To Read More.....

AG Merrick Garland threatens 2020 ballot audits

June 12, 2021 By Thomas Lifson

It sure looks like a lot of people are very nervous about the audits of ballots cast in the 2020 presidential election.  Yesterday, the attorney general of the United States, Merrick Garland, announced that the DOJ is "applying scrutiny" to post-election audits and will offer "guidance."

A slightly more complete transcript:

"We are scrutinizing new laws that seek to curb voter access and where we see violations we will not hesitate to act," he said. "We are also scrutinizing current laws and practices in order to determine whether they discredit against black voters and other voters of color. Particularly concerning with in this regard are several studies showing that in some jurisdictions nonwhite voters must wait in line substantially longer than white voters to cast their ballots."

"The Department of Justice will apply the same scrutiny to postelection audits, according to Garland, to make sure the election reviews fall in line with federal laws meant to protect records and guard against voter intimidation," the Epoch Times reported.

There is a ton of sickening irony in Garland's implicit threat to auditors.  At Gateway Pundit, Joe Hoft lists some of the egregiously suspicious activities during the counting of ballots Election Night that the Department of Justice refused to investigate — things like expelling visitors, covering up windows, and then being caught on surveillance cameras pulling suitcases out and running ballots through machines..........To Read More.....

My Take - Remember this is the "moderate" Obama wanted to sit on the Supreme Court, and Mitch McConnell refuse to bring his candidacy up for a Senate vote.  He did that right at least.

Garland threatens states' efforts to assure voting integrity

Promises more lawyers to be investigating legislation in states

He said, according to a report in the Washington Examiner, he's beefing up the number of lawyers in his Civil Rights Division to investigate voter rights.  "We are scrutinizing new laws that seek to curb voter access, and where we see violations, we will not hesitate to act," he promised........."Fact-checkers" across the country repeatedly have claimed that the elections were run without significant issues, but the fact is that courts almost uniformly refused to even consider the evidence provided in hundreds of sworn statements and more.  Several states still are running audits of their results.

What is not in dispute is that in multiple states various officials simply changed state laws to accommodate the ballots during the COVID-19 pandemic, even though the Constitution allows only state legislatures to make those changes...........To Read More...

AG Garland announces DOJ will double number of lawyers working on voting rights

Garland said the division would look into voting laws to determine if they discriminate against voters of color

By Morgan Phillips | Fox News June 11, 2021

Attorney General Merrick Garland announced Friday that the Department of Justice will double the number of lawyers within its civil rights division who are dedicated to protecting the right to vote, after a number of GOP-led states passed election security bills in recent months.

"Where we see violations we will not hesitate to act," Garland said, promising the division would scrutinize new laws that "seek to curb voter access." He also vowed to apply the same scrutiny to post-election audits and promised prosecution for those who threaten or intimidate poll workers.

He said the division would look into voting laws "in order to determine whether they discriminate against Black voters and other voters of color." He pointed to studies he said showed voters of color wait in "substantially longer" lines to vote. ..........To Read More.....

My Take - Remember this is the guy Obama wanted to appoint to the Supreme Court because he was a "moderate".

Finally, A Real Attorney General

Apr 21, 2019 Jeff Crouere

It has been quite a while since Americans have witnessed an honorable and effective Attorney General serving in that important position. The two Attorneys General during the Obama administration were hopelessly partisan and extremely protective of the President.

Eric Holder famously claimed that he was “the President’s wing-man” who was “there with my boy.” Obviously, he worked non-stop to protect the President from any legal trouble and congressional investigations. Whether it was Operation Fast and Furious, the IRS Tea Party abuse scandal or the Benghazi terrorist attack, Attorney General Holder was insistent on shielding Barack Obama from any trouble. He was so committed to that goal that Holder became the first U.S. Attorney General to be held in Contempt of Congress for refusing to release documents related to the Fast and Furious investigation.

He was succeeded as Attorney General by Loretta Lynch, who continued the policies of Eric Holder. She not only protected Obama, but she also evidently believed it was necessary to protect Hillary Clinton. Right before the Department of Justice officially decided to exonerate Hillary Clinton of wrongdoing in the investigation of the handling of her personal email communications, Lynch met privately with former President Bill Clinton on the tarmac of the Phoenix airport. Supposedly, the two discussed golf and grandchildren among other inane topics for 20+ minutes while the investigation of Hillary never was mentioned. Of course, no one should believe such as ridiculous cover story, which just shows the measures that Democrats will take to protect one of their prominent party leaders.............To Read More..........

New Attorney General Needs To Clean House

Jeff Crouere  Feb 17, 2019

With the confirmation of William Barr as the new U.S. Attorney General, there is hope that the Department of Justice (DOJ) can regain some of its reputation that has been lost in the last few years.

Once viewed as a fair and respected law enforcement agency, the DOJ is now seen as a hotbed of anti-Trump Democratic Party activism. In the 2016 election, The Hill reported that an astounding 97% of DOJ employee contributions were given to Hillary Clinton, while Donald Trump received only 3%..........During the tenure of Mueller as Special Counsel, his office’s methods have been thuggish to say ...........Incredibly, there were more FBI agents involved in the raid of Roger Stone than the number of Navy Seals deployed in the raid of Osama bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan.................

After ending the Mueller probe, Barr should fire the remaining Deep State operatives inserted throughout the Department of Justice, notably Rosenstein and DOJ official Bruce Ohr, who has been demoted but is still employed. Incredibly, Ohr has retained a position, even though it was discovered that his wife, Nellie, was hired to investigate then-candidate Donald Trump by the discredited “strategic intelligence” firm, Fusion GPS. ...........To Read More....

Trump’s choice for AG William Barr just may be the right person for the job

December 8, 2018 By Thomas Lifson

My first reaction to the news that William Barr, who already served as attorney general under President Bush 41 was probably incorrect. I groaned, as I suspect many conservatives did, at the thought of a member of the GOP establishment taking on this vital job.

Paul Mirengoff of Powerline has worked with him, and describes him as “aggressive.” Barr was the general counsel of GTE when I represented that company (as one of dozens of lawyers from at least four law firms to do so) in contentious litigation following the enactment of the Telecommunications Act of 1996.

Barr was one tough lawyer. I was happy that GTE’s conduct of the litigation was considerably more aggressive than that of other similarly situated carriers who were also required to share their facilities and equipment with new competitors under the Act.

An aggressive AG would be a welcome contrast to Jeff Sessions, particularly since there is so much internal resistance to Trump’s agenda within the DoJ. When absurd redactions are made from documents merely to protect the DoJ from embarrassment, an aggressive reaction from the top is required to overcome resistance............... To Read More......

The Clinton reckoning is tiptoeing in

May 18, 2018 By Thomas Lifson

This is a historic moment of bated breath and tight sphincters all over Clintonworld. After decades of skating on their grifts, abuses, and outright crimes, a reckoning is coming. And not just for the Hillary Clinton, but for her enablers. The leaks begin about the I.G. report on the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

Until Wednesday, there had been virtually no genuine leaks coming out of the inspector general's office at the Department of Justice – the sign of a probe with integrity. But that silence ended when the I.G.'s office circulated relevant portions of its report to people named in it, for their comments, which would be included when the report is published................Read more
