Nunes, admittedly has been a conservative Super Star, but there are a couple of things I'm sure came into play here. I've been told, by those who
know, some just hate being in the Congress because its such a snake
pit, and being one of the main conservatives, the snakes would be
attacking him constantly.
Heterodoxy isn't for the faint of heart, and even those with
backbones can tire. So, maybe he wanted to leave and this was his
opportunity, and he might not have been re-elected as a result of
redistricting in California.
An unelected Super Star is no longer Super or a Star, so, I think this is actually good long range planning on his
part......and Trump....especially Trump. If successful, he'll be a
bigger Super Star than he ever was in Congress. He can potentially have far more impact on more issues than he ever could in the Congress. Remember Roger Ailes? For a while he became the go to guy in the media with Fox News, something radically different than America was used to. But he wasn't a real conservative, and his personal activity destroyed him.
A major goal for conservatives in America should be co-opting the
corruption of the left wing media, and the so-called conservatives worth
untold millions aren't stepping up to do that, and Trump is.
In order to do that and be successful you need people who
actually believe in conservative values, not like Fox News and others
who claim to be impartial. I no longer want impartial. I just want the
facts, and real history. History and reality support conservatives and
conservative values, whether it's climate change or abortion, because we
now know, even with a few Super Star conservative commentators on Fox,
in the background their "fair and balanced" dancing act is in reality
lipstick on a dancing pig.
This piece by Steve McCann, The Left-Wing Legacy of the Mainstream Media, outlines just how important this move may be. He notes that "over the past eight
decades there have many frauds promoted by the mainstream media.. He notes the media "has always been the cheerleaders and
propaganda arm of the left and the Democrat Party." The FCC turned them into a government controlled media. They promoted and praised Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin even when it was known they were murdering millions of innocent people. Adored Castro, "slobbered over the rise of
radical Islamic regimes", praised Daniel Ortega and Hugo Chavez, promoted socialism, praised China, and "willingly regurgitate the fabrications, innuendos, and “fake news” given to them
by their domestic and international masters." Can that be called anything less than treason?
But things are changing dramatically. It started slowly with Rush Limbaugh, who created talk radio as we know it now, then FOX News declaring they wanted Fair and Balanced, and then came Trump, and people started saying, this is the reality I believe in.
CNN is moribund, and has now been bought by a media mogul who is going to fire a bunch of leftist buffoons and turn it into an actual news source instead of a left wing opinion factory who've blabbered insane views, not to mention fallacious views, killing CNN. Who knows, maybe they'll actually start reporting on Hunter Biden's laptop. As Ed Sherdlu says at the end of his piece:
Do not expect a radical change
overnight. But, if Malone keeps his promise, the new direction of CNN
will be firmly carved into the tombstone of the old. The Suits at ABC,
CBS, and NBC are well advised to watch closely.
So, I believe this is not only a good move on Nunes part, I believe he may be able to alter the news as we're seeing it in America. CNN, as it has been, is dead. After Trump's social media site is launched, will Twitter and Facebook follow? As the reporter in Charlie Wilson's war said: We'll see!
