Over the last couple of years we've heard both Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden declaring not only are they Catholics, but they're devout Catholics, and their faith defines them. Really? Perhaps it might be worthwhile to explore this, because people aren't what they say, they're what they do!
On September 20, 2020 Asma Khalid posted this propaganda piece, How Joe Biden's Faith Shapes His Politics, quoting his "allies" saying:
Biden's faith informs his values and, in turn, his values shape his politics.
But as we will show, Biden is an ardent supporter of abortion on demand, and he wants society to pay for it If that's true, and it is, we have to ask: Does his faith really shape that political position?
On January 21, 2021 Michael W. Chapman posted this piece, Catholic Bishops Conference: Biden Backs Policies 'That Would Advance Moral Evils and Threaten Human Life', saying:
Although the liberal media describe
President Joe Biden (D) as a "devout Catholic," the U.S. Conference of
Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is very familiar with his pro-abortion,
pro-LGBT agenda and says Biden supports policies "that would advance
moral evils and threaten human life and dignity...."So, I must point out that our new
President has pledged to pursue certain policies that would advance
moral evils and threaten human life and dignity, most seriously in the
areas of abortion, contraception, marriage, and gender,"
The author goes on to say:
President Joe Biden and Vice
President Kamala Harris support abortion on demand. They also support
"gay marriage," gay adoption, gender theory, and a variety of other
practices that are contrary to the moral teachings of the Catholic
Church. ...........Planned Parenthood Action Fund said,
"Biden has committed to champion access to sexual and reproductive
health care — including access to abortion — and to fight for our
communities. When he left the Senate, Vice President Joe Biden had a
100% voting record from Planned Parenthood Action Fund, and has been
clear he is
‘100% for sexual and reproductive health.’ And we are going
to hold him to that.".....Biden will work to codify
Roe v. Wade,
and his Justice Department will do everything in its power to stop the
rash of state laws that so blatantly violate the constitutional right to
an abortion, such as so-called
TRAP laws [or
targeted restrictions on abortion providers], parental notification
requirements, mandatory waiting periods, and ultrasound requirements."
He's 100% for sexual and reproductive health? If that's not a perfect example of Orwellian "newspeak", I don't know what is. But this kind of clabber is going to become more and more a part of the national dialogue. so get used to it. But, in spite of that, we're expected to believe his "faith informs his values and, in turn, his values shape his politics." Remarkable!
In his encyclical letter “
Evangelium Vitae,”
which was published on March 25, 1995, St. John Paul I stated on behalf
of the Catholic Church that “procured abortion” is "murder.”...........
“The moral gravity of procured abortion is apparent in all its truth
if we recognize that we are dealing with murder and, in particular, when
we consider the specific elements involved,” wrote St. John Paul II.
“The one eliminated is a human being at the very beginning of life. No
one more absolutely innocent could be imagined. In no way could this
human being ever be considered an aggressor, much less an unjust
aggressor!”..........
Here are some excerpts from Evangelium Vitae, which can be read in its entirety on the Vatican website:
“The moral gravity of procured abortion is apparent in all its truth
if we recognize that we are dealing with murder and, in particular, when
we consider the specific elements involved. The one eliminated is a
human being at the very beginning of life. No one more absolutely
innocent could be imagined. In no way could this human being ever be
considered an aggressor, much less an unjust aggressor! He or she is
weak, defenceless, even to the point of lacking that minimal form of
defence consisting in the poignant power of a newborn baby's cries and
tears. The unborn child is totally entrusted to the protection and care
of the woman carrying him or her in the womb. And yet sometimes it is
precisely the mother herself who makes the decision and asks for the
child to be eliminated, and who then goes about having it done….
“But responsibility likewise falls on the legislators who have
promoted and approved abortion laws, and, to the extent that they have a
say in the matter, on the administrators of the health-care centres
where abortions are performed...........
Finally, one
cannot overlook the network of complicity which reaches out to include
international institutions, foundations and associations which
systematically campaign for the legalization and spread of abortion in
the world. In this sense abortion goes beyond the responsibility of
individuals and beyond the harm done to them, and takes on a distinctly
social dimension. It is a most serious wound inflicted on society and
its culture by the very people who ought to be society's promoters and
defenders.........."we are facing an
immense threat to life: not only to the life of individuals but also to
that of civilization itself". We are facing what can be called a "structure of sin" which opposes human life not yet born.
Since 1973 Sixty three million innocent unborn have been murdered as a result of Roe v. Wade. Hugh Brown writes, No, Joe Biden, Catholicism Is Not About Protecting Murder, noting Biden has had 48 years to fight for the faith he says defines him, i.e., his touchstone, his guide, his moral compass, "yet
he has done nothing but empower and support death. Joe Biden is a
founding pillar of the culture of death." And he's not alone in this application of "his faith".
Cardinal Wilton
Gregory of Washington, D.C. embraced Joe Biden and treated him as if he
were a god king......He had an
opportunity to rebuke Joe Biden......an opportunity
to show the faithful that those who lead the Catholic faith actually
believe what the Church teaches and stands for. But Cardinal Wilton Gregory embraced the devil with a kiss.
How does a prince of the church become so corrupt? It's a people thing. In ancient Israel before Babylon destroyed the Temple the Levitical priesthood actually allowed pagan images in the Temple and a King of Israel sacrificed his own son, just like the pagans. Did they believe God wasn't watching?
Essentially, abortion law in Massachusetts now is such that the tiny
being in the womb is a legal nullity. That accomplishment is cloaked by
its advocates with the euphemisms of “reproductive freedom” and
“abortion access.” But if taking the life of a child days from its birth is
“reproductive freedom,” how is taking that same life a day after its
birth not also “reproductive freedom?" If absolute liberty to take life at such a stage is “access” to
health care, how is it also not “reproductive freedom” for parents of a
newborn to have “access” to a cliff from which to cast their young?...........The enormity of it all no longer strikes an anguished chord among
many Americans. Abortion has seeped its blood-stained reality into every
corner of American life.
President Joe Biden will “in the coming days” revoke the policy that
withholds U.S. federal funding from non-governmental organizations that
promote or perform abortions abroad, his newly-appointed chief medical
advisor, Dr. Anthony Fauci, confirmed to the World Health Organization
on Thursday.
“It will be our policy to support
women’s and girls’ sexual and reproductive health and reproductive
rights in the United States, as well as globally,” Fauci told the WHO
executive board, one day after Biden announced the reversal of President
Trump’s decision to withdraw the U.S. from the U.N. global health
agency.
So, let me see if I understand this properly. Joe Biden's faith, that which defines him, not only wants to murder more American children, he want's Americans to fund the murder of innocents in foreign lands, and his faith allows and encourages that? If his faith defines his values and his politics that must be the case. Right? Do I understand that correctly? Have I defined that properly?
“Now, there is one other element that I have been talking about for a
long time that gives me great grief as a Catholic,"......"I
think that Donald Trump is president because of a woman’s right to
choose." “When he signed that paper saying these are the judges that I will
appoint that was the dog whistle to the Evangelicals, to the Catholics,
and all the rest: a woman will not have the right to choose," ..............“there’s a great deal of hypocrisy with many of these people.”
Working to end abortion offends her as a Catholic? And Catholics who work toward that end are hypocrites? Clearly there's something wrong with her values, her faith and her mind. And my view isn't singular.
“For 48 years, Roe v. Wade has been a cornerstone of health and equal
rights for all American women. This landmark decision protects a
woman’s fundamental right to make her own reproductive health
decisions,”.........“Nearly half a century later, Roe v. Wade is settled law,” ....On this anniversary, we renew our commitment to build on the legacy of
Roe v. Wade so that we can protect a woman’s right to choose and defend
women’s hard-won freedoms, now and always,” said Pelosi.
And just how did devotion to her faith define that for her, along with Biden, Harris and other "Catholics" in the government?
“In the past four years, reproductive health, including the right to
choose, has been under relentless and extreme attack,” it continues. “We
are deeply committed to making sure everyone has access to
care—including reproductive health care—regardless of income, race, zip
code, health insurance status, or immigration status.”...........House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said women should have “the right to make their own health decisions.”.........Rep. James E. Clyburn (D-S.C.) wrote, We must continue the fight to protect that
fundamental right.”
How is murdering an innocent unborn a
fundamental right? No matter what the court's ruling in Roe v. Wade, it "was" bad law,
it "is" bad law, and it will "always" be bad law because nowhere in the
Constitution does it authorize such a vile practice, and the right to
privacy to justify it was made up by SCOTUS based on what's called the "penumbra of
the Constitution".....
"a group of rights derived, by implication,
from other rights explicitly protected in the Bill of Rights. These
rights have been identified through a process of
"reasoning-by-interpolation", where specific principles are recognized
from "general idea" that are explicitly expressed in other
constitutional provisions'......."An open ended concept that allows for
abuse!" Roe v. Wade was such a decision, striking down "established
federal and state laws."
You see , stare decisis only works for the left, and they're attempting to make sure it can't be overturned by any future court rulings.
Let's get this right. This is really a matter of defining the issue of abortion properly, and having the courage to say it. The media has dubbed pro-abortion people as Pro-choice. They have dubbed anti-abortion as Pro-Life.
Wrong!
They are pro-abortion and anti-abortion people! Period!
Abortion supporters promote murder and anti-abortion people fight murder. Here is where the real difference lies.
The pro-abortion groups hate the death penalty and anti-abortions groups largely support the death penalty. That is why the media and the abortionists dub them as pro-life in order to attack them as hypocrites.
Let’s define this properly. They are not pro-life. They are pro-innocent life. Executing those guilty of terrible crimes is not murder! It’s justice; and it’s justice because they are not innocent, they've committed horrible crimes that brought them to justice.
There is only one reason to support aborting innocent life. You don’t believe its murder! There is only one reason to be against aborting innocent life. You believe it "is" murder!
If killing the innocent unborn is murder then it’s murder, always. It isn’t murder on Monday with an option on Tuesday because of unpleasant circumstances such as rape or incest.
I have said this in the past and I will repeat it here. In ancient times pagans murdered their newborn children for economic and political reasons by throwing them alive into burning pits as sacrifices to their gods. Today we are murdering our unborn children for economic and political reasons to prove we have no God.
Our minds are so clouded with secular liberalism that we can’t see or define reality clearly. The left has no real moral boundaries. An unstable philosophy for which we have abandoned traditional values. A concept where nothing is right and nothing is wrong. The
moral foundation of the left is greed, envy, hate and violence. A value system that isn’t much more than the latest philosophical flavor of the day, which may change tomorrow, leaving untold damage to humanity in its wake. That's
history, and that history is incontestable. So then, why do we wonder why society is getting so out of control, especially among the
young?
What part of that is so
hard to grasp?
Which brings us back to Biden, Pelosi and all the other political leaders who profess to be practicing believers and yet support abortion. We can only conclude they don't believe in their faith, their God, or there is a God who will seek retribution. In short, they're heretics, and quite possibly atheists masquerading as believers for political purposes.
As for the rest of the "believers" in the Democrat party: If you profess to be a believer and a Democrat, you're a heretic.
