John Bolton's book looks like a fairy-tale for Trump-haters

The Trump administration has sued to stop John Bolton's purported "tell-all" from being released next week on the grounds that it is filled with classified information that affects national security. That suit hasn't stopped Bolton's publisher from leaking the supposed "bombshells" in the book.

Those bombshells will excite Trump-haters, but those who support Trump will immediately recognize them as lies, deliberate misinterpretations, and resentment. Expect the activist Democrat media to sing the book's praises, but that won't change the outcome of the November election.

The book's biggest alleged bombshell, which Bolton writes about in the Wall Street Journal (paywall), is his claim that, in June 2019 at the Osaka G20, Trump begged Chinese President Xi Jinping to help him get re-elected. According to Bolton, Xi said America's relationship with China was important and that it was wrong for some in America to want a Cold War. My Take - Given what's been happening with Bolton and his actions, I'm not surprised, but I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed in Bolton. While I wasn't all that keen on his willingness to use American military might so often, I did believe he actually understood who America's enemies were and the need to deal with them accordingly.  Apparently he's now lost that ability.  He's also lost the respect of all conservatives, and I think everyone who isn't a confirmed member of the neo-pagan secular religious sects of leftism.
