Coronavirus: Fear Breeds Panic. Panic Breeds Folly!

By Rich Kozlovich

I've posted much to show this "pandemic" is mostly by media driven hysteria, and in spite of all the evidence to the contrary, society has gone insane with this stuff.  Therefore, I've decided to post the mortality rates regularly.

As of 8:25 AM on May 22, 2020 here are the coronavirus rates of infection and the rates of mortality based on a worldwide population of 7,800,000,000 and an American population of 330,000,000 using this internet calculator.

Here are the results:
  • Worldwide infections, 5,127, 125.  Infection rate, 0.06%
  • Worldwide deaths, 333,398.  Mortality rate, 0.004%.
  • Confirmed infections in the United States, 1, 577,758.  Infection rate, 0.4%
  • United States deaths, 94,729.  Mortality rate, 0.028%
  • Editor's note.  That number may have been inflated by fraudulent reporting by as much as 25%, which means the actual number of deaths may be as low as 71,047, which is a mortality rate of 0.021%. Not much difference, but the higher number of deaths make people scared.
In 1968, with a worldwide population of 3,551,599,127 the Hong Kong flu killed over 1,000,000 people worldwide. The mortality rate was 0.3%!  It seems to me 0.004% versus 0.3% represents a rather substantial difference! Don't you think?  So why the panic?

America lost 100,000 that year, and with a population of 200.7 million the morality rate was 0.05%. Comparing 0.05% to 0.02% represents another substantial difference, and yet no one in America dreamed of shutting the country down in 1968.  So why the panic now?

In 1957 America's population was 172 million people, and in that year we lost 116,000 people from what was called the Asian flu. The mortality rate was 0.07%. Again, 0.07% versus 0.02% is substantial and no one thought they should shut down the country in 1957 and 1958.  So why are we doing it now?

We need to start thinking clearly in order to start seeing things clearly.  This fog of media hysteria has blinded people's eyes to this insanity, but the insanity has made me more aware the public is far more easily manipulated to accept all sorts of insane things based on fear.  More so than I ever dreamed, and the reason it's struck home so much to me now is I see people who I know and who normally see clearly being drawn into this poisonous spider web of lies, misdirection, and emotional drama.

Fear! We must control our fear if we're to see reality.  And the reality is this:  Fear is breeding tyranny that Americans are accepting.

“I hope we once again have reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: As government expands, liberty contracts.” - Ronald Reagan
