Reince Priebus: 'People like me were wrong' about Trump's tweets

Former White House chief of staff Reince Priebus indicated that he believed President Trump has the correct instincts when it comes to his social media habits, though he admitted he was initially resistant to the way the president tweeted as a candidate.  Reflecting on MSNBC about time spent with Trump during the campaign, Priebus said: "I would be the guy, 'Don't tweet this. Do tweet that. Don't this, don't that.' And others chimed in, even the first lady and the family."

"But at the end of the day, he goes through the whole campaign, he's listening to people like me saying, 'Don't tweet this, don't tweet that,' and he tweeted it, and he won," he added. "So, I'm at a place now on the whole tweeting issue that I think more or less people like me were wrong, and people like him were right."...........To Read More.....


                 

Beneath the Dignity of the Office

The first article of impeachment against president Donald J. Trump -- if the Democrats regain the U.S. House majority -- will be that his behavior demeans the office of the President.  Set aside for a moment that for Dem loons just electing Trump irreparably tarnished the stature of the office.  But now, the Dems have Exhibit A to the impeachment article: Trump’s image-shopped WWE parody of himself “body-slamming” CNN, perhaps the most accomplished, and persistent purveyor of fake news.
 

Unlike Bill Clinton -- whose pants around the ankles in the Oval Office, while being serviced by an intern, redefined dignity of the Presidency -- Trump at least picked a venue that couldn’t be conflated with the new age White House protocols.  But unlike Clinton, Trump kept his belt buckled, four-in-hand knot untouched, with nary a strand of hair displaced............
