Stupid Is As Stupid Does

Our Constitutional Revolution starts at your next local election and culminates, this year, on November 8, 2022. We can overwhelm them at the polls, even if they try to cheat again

By ——--April 18, 2022

Editor's Note I've not been given permission to publish this piece, and if either the author or Canada Free Press object, I will merely link it. But the impact of the foundationally formidable logic appearing here wouldn't be fully appreciated.  Also, for the benefit for any who may not know who Dietrich Bonhoeffer was, I added a link in the article.  Please follow it.    RK

“Stupid is as stupid does.”  These words were uttered and made famous by that great American philosopher Forrest Gump, in the movie by the same name. Until recently, I viewed these words as a cute slogan with a limited application in the real world.  Not anymore! A few days ago, I received a short video that discussed German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s (1908 – 1945) Theory of Stupid.

As a student of history, I keep finding that there isn’t much need for new intellectual input about human behavior.  Everything about human nature has been known since biblical times by wiser men than anyone today.

In a previous article I discussed the phenomena of mass psychosis and how this has impacted American culture and values in our times.  Coupled with the information that Bonhoeffer presented, we have a complete picture of our problems with human nature in 2022 America, Canada, and much of the world.

Bonhoeffer writes:

“Upon closer observation, it becomes apparent that every strong upsurge of power in the public sphere, be it of a political or a religious nature, infects a large part of humankind with stupidity. The power of the one needs the stupidity of the other. The process at work here is not that particular human capacities, for instance, the intellect, suddenly atrophy or fail. Instead, it seems that under the overwhelming impact of rising power, humans are deprived of their inner independence and, more or less consciously, give up establishing an autonomous position toward the emerging circumstances. The fact that the stupid person is often stubborn must not blind us to the fact that he is not independent.

In conversation with him, one virtually feels that one is dealing not at all with him as a person, but with slogans, catchwords, and the like that have taken possession of him.

He is under a spell, blinded, misused, and abused in his very being. Having thus become a mindless tool, the stupid person will also be capable of any evil and at the same time incapable of seeing that it is evil.

This is where the danger of diabolical misuse lurks, for it is this that can once and for all destroy human beings.”

He continues:

“It seems obvious that stupidity is less a psychological than a sociological problem. It is a particular form of the impact of historical circumstances on human beings, a psychological concomitant of certain external conditions.”

Against stupidity we have no defense

Bonhoeffer goes on:

“Against stupidity we have no defense. Neither protests nor force can touch it. Reasoning is of no use. Facts that contradict personal prejudices can simply be disbelieved — indeed, the fool can counter by criticizing them, and if they are undeniable, they can just be pushed aside as trivial exceptions. So the fool, as distinct from the scoundrel, is completely self-satisfied. In fact, they can easily become dangerous, as it does not take much to make them aggressive. For that reason, greater caution is called for than with a malicious one. Never again will we try to persuade the stupid person with reasons, for it is senseless and dangerous.”

 He further writes:

“The word of the Bible that the ‘fear of God is the beginning of wisdom’ declares that the internal liberation of human beings to live the responsible life before God is the only genuine way to overcome stupidity. But these thoughts about stupidity also offer consolation in that they utterly forbid us to consider the majority of people to be stupid in every circumstance. It really will depend on whether those in power expect more from peoples’ stupidity than from their inner independence and wisdom.”

He finally concludes:

“We must abandon all attempts to convince the stupid person.”

Please understand, we may all have a bit of “stupid” in each of us about something. Be that as it may, Bonhoeffer has isolated a failing strategy patriotic Americans have tried to use for decades, trying to reason with the Marxist Democrats.  We now know that they simply will never listen to reason. It also allows me to understand my experience trying to have a discussion with these people and all I get is being labeled by the latest term in the Marxist Democrat arsenal of hate speech, followed by the current platitudes of the month.

“If you can’t convince them, confuse them.” ~ Harry S. Truman

Rid America of the criminal cabal of Marxist Democrats

It is time for patriotic, Constitution-loving, Americans to focus on what we can do, rather than wasting time trying to change the hearts and minds of Marxist Democrats.  With our actions to date, it appears we have already established a state of confusion for the Biden administration, the Marxist Democrat cabal, and their minions in the media.  We simply need to keep the pressure on as more and more truth is revealed in regard to their complicity in the wrong doings against President Trump and America.

What is left is the thing we have the most influence on and must do; defeat them at every possible turn.  Rid America of the criminal cabal of Marxist Democrats and their minions in every elected office in America.  Defeat is the only message the Marxist cabal will understand.

When the majority of Americans step up and squash them like a bug in the voting booth, it will demonstrate to them and all patriotic Americans that the Marxist Democrats were, at best, a small loud minority, not a majority.

It is time for America’s silent majority to once again come forth and loudly proclaim the traditional American values we have allowed to slip away.  It is time for Americans to step up and stop allowing 5% of the population dictating how the other 95% should live and behave.  If the 5% choose to be offended, whose problem is it?  This current foolishness has to stop!

Our Constitutional Revolution starts at your next local election and culminates, this year, on November 8, 2022.  We can overwhelm them at the polls, even if they try to cheat again.

The World as I See It: You Never Know When Mass Stupidity Will Strike, and You Can Never Plan For It!

“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo. "So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”- J.R.R. Tolkien

George Carlin once said, “Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.”

To get a clear understanding of that statement understand the average I.Q. is 90. When you break that down from the highest to the lowest, we find half of the population really is dumber, which of course explains the mass stupidity America has embraced over this fraudulent coronavirus scare, the masks, the lockdowns, the destroyed businesses, along with the disastrous health issues caused by these actions, and most importantly, this fraudulent election. (See

Then, we have a totally corrupt and stupid man, with serious neurological problems entering the White House with a Vice President that's as stupid and corrupt as he, and it's happening due to a very provable case of massive voter fraud and a conspiracy to commit voter fraud, and the Supreme Court won't hear the case, and state courts are refusing to enforce laws passed by the legislature regarding voting procedures on their states in spite of the fact the Constitution clearly states only the state legislatures can make the rules for voting in their states.

Neither the governor, or any other state officials or bureaucrats can alter whatever laws the legislature passed regarding elections in their States.  That prerogative belongs solely to the Legislature, and the legislature alone.  Any changes must be authorized by them, and yet, we saw local and state election officials changing the rules to meet their particular political agenda and the state and federal courts refused to act according to the law.

Unfortunately, you just never know when mass stupidity will strike, and you can't plan for it. But one thing is clear, the media play a major role in inflaming mass stupidity when it does strike.

Personally, I deplore the putrid state into which our newspapers have passed and the malignity, the vulgarity and the mendacious spirit of those who write for them. These ordures are rapidly depraving the public taste and lessening its relish for sound food.

As vehicles of information and a curb on our functionaries, they have rendered themselves useless by forfeiting all title to belief.  This has, in a great degree, been produced by the violence and malignity of party spirit.

Oh, by the way, as much as I would like to take credit for that last two paragraphs, but those aren't my words.  They certainly represent my thoughts, but those were the thoughts and words expressed by Thomas Jefferson describing the abuses of a free press in 1814 in a letter to his friend Walter Jones

"The main difference between misinformation and disinformation is intent. But the two are inextricably intertwined." Cami Ryan, PhD

Nothing has changed, nor it will ever change, regarding the lack of integrity in the media! It has been so from their founding, and will continue to be so until the end of time.  But right now, today, because of modern communications, they have more easily, and more thoroughly, corrupted the nation's perception of reality with the stench of their morality, and stunning level of hypocritical ignorance.

Worse yet, they work diligently to prevent anyone from exposing their perfidy!  As an example, Big Tech has (hopefully temporarily) destroyed Parler, a conservative open social media site as a counter balance to Twitter, Facebook, LinkidIn, Amazon, etc.  YouTube suspended One America News Network channel for what they're calling misinformation violations for COVID-19 policy, and since it's misinformation, it must be censored. That's a convenient way of saying anything that disagrees with the leftist agenda, AKA, free speech, is misinformation, or hate speech, or promotes violence.

Yet they have little trouble promoting outright lies.  Somehow these purveyors of moral self-righteousness don't seem to think those lies count, provided of course lies promote false leftist narratives.

We really are facing George Orwell's 1984, where we're being forced to accept "newspeak", which is "deliberately ambiguous and contradictory language used to mislead and manipulate the public", in short, twisting language to corrupt thought, with the House of Representatives voting to ban, eliminate, or removing gender-specific language from use in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Dinesh D’Souza said that, under the proposals: “Suddenly you’re not allowed, in House communications, to refer to fathers or mothers or grandfathers or grandmothers or brothers or sisters, or even stepsons or stepdaughters or father-in-laws [sic] or mother-in-laws [sic]. The whole gendered vocabulary is essentially abolished.”

Mass stupidity struck!

"War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength", and of course the idea that truth is a lie and lies are the truth, is always at the heart of newspeak in pursuit of leftist goals.

Calling them sewer trout would be an insult to trout, and sewers, since both serve a useful purpose, while the media is in collusion with the left, working to hide the true views of Democrats, and one example is their view of religion.  Their animus toward now Justice Amy Coney Barret was her Catholic faith, as Tucker Carlson noted:

“A lot of Democrats are highly, highly hostile to organized religion and a lot of them deeply resent Amy Coney Barrett for her orthodox Catholicism, but they’ve decided not to say anything about it because it’s an election year, so they’re trying to keep it under wraps,” “It’s a political calculation, obviously. But what do they really think? Privately, Democrats are fixated on Amy Coney Barrett’s religious beliefs, we know that in part because today Dianne Feinstein, the senior senator from California, didn’t realize her mic was on and let the mask slip.”

Carlson said those remarks were like a “Mazie Hirono impression” in terms of their “sheer incoherence and stupidity.”

"The big secret in Washington is that a lot of these people dripping with credentials…are actually not very bright." - Leah Barkoukis

The nation is facing national suicide orchestrated by incredibly stupid people leading incredibly stupid people, working to destroy intelligent people who recognize the disaster on the horizon.

If we're to believe what the left is demanding, and there's not reason why we shouldn't, we face unbridled immigration, special privileges for select groups, racial and/or social, increases in spending that's going to make yesterday seem frugal, green initiatives that would destroy our energy system, huge increases in taxes, raided retirement funds, regulations that will most likely destroy capitalism, censorship of ideas, and some on the left even want to send conservatives to concentration camps for "re-education", just like Mao did to the Chinese people in the late 60's.

Best wishes to us all, but I'm not optimistic.  When all this mass stupidity dissipates as a result of  strong doses of reality, we're going to look back and ask: How could we have been so stupid as to let this happen?

Until then I fear this is going to lead to massively violent demonstrations tearing the nation apart, philosophically, economically and physically.  And we can thank both parties.  The party of Treason and the Stupid party, and this election may alter America beyond fixing, because we no longer have a common view of what America is, what America was, and what America should be.

This isn't your grandparents America.

All I Want for Christmas Is Some Sanity

Robert E. Wright Robert E. Wright – December 21, 2020

If I possessed an ounce of musical ability, I would parody the old Christmas song “All I Want for Christmas (Is My Two Front Teeth)” with the lyrics “all I want for Christmas are my two frontal lobes.” Since March of this year, most Americans (and people worldwide) more closely resemble Randle McMurphy (Jack Nicholson’s character) at the end of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest than independent beings.

While Deborah Birx most closely physically resembles the human antagonist of that film, the infamous Nurse Ratched, the role in 2020 has to go to Tony “Why Didn’t This Guy Retire a Decade Ago?” Fauci. But it is probably best that we abandon the cuckoo analogy because — spoiler alert in case you haven’t yet seen this 1975 classic — at the end of the film Chief Bromden (played brilliantly by Will Sampson) liberates the recently lobotomized McMurphy by smothering him with a pillow, then liberates himself by destroying infrastructure and running into the wilderness at sunrise, thus proving himself the sanest person in the entire ensemble, hospital administrators and staff included........To Read More.....

Intellectual Poverty on the Left

Arrogance is no substitute for ntellectual humility.

By  May 21, 2019

You may have noticed that conservatives are blessed with an impressive lineup of intellectual heavyweights. Liberals have none, literally none. A few of those on the conservative side are Thomas Sowell, Victor Davis Hanson, Dennis Prager, Shelby Steele, Jordon Peterson, and Mark Levin.
Thomas Sowell is an economist, ex-Marine, Hoover Institution scholar, and the author of over 30 books. If you’ve never read one you don’t know what you’re missing. Two of his classics areKnowledge and Decisions and The Vision of the Anointed: Self-Congratulation as a Basis for Social Policy. He is well known for his many pearls of wisdom which he terms, “random thoughts on the passing scene.” Those now can be found on Twitter.

Jordon Peterson is a professor of psychology at the University of Toronto and Hillsdale College. He is best known for his book 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos. Several million copies have been sold. It was even a number-one bestseller in Sweden. If you read that book you will understand life better, and if you follow the rules you will be a better person. The book is nothing short of a masterpiece.

Jordan Peterson is possibly the wisest man alive. Fortunately for the rest of us he shares his wisdom through his books, interviews, podcasts, and seminars. Peterson is despised by the left. That says much more about them than him............Liberalism is fundamentally about feelings rather than thoughts. Also the left focuses on intentions, the right focuses on results and the ways by which results are achieved..............The left also feels morally superior to any of our predecessors. Conservatives, on the other hand, possess a deep respect and reverence for the wisdom we’ve inherited from, for example, the Greeks, the Bible, Shakespeare, and the Founding Fathers.

Isaac Newton famously said, “If I have seen further than others, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.” Even Newton needed to know what those preceding him had discovered. On the left there’s no gratitude for the wisdom endowed to us by our forebears. Rather than gratitude there’s disdain, another reflection of their arrogance.............As long as the left holds on to its arrogance it will never match the richness of the right’s intellectual offerings. It’s another reason why being a conservative is a whole lot more fun than being a liberal..............To Read More....

Snoop Dogg Calls Kanye West An Uncle Tom - Doesn't Know Who Tom Was

One could say Snoop Dogg is a "Sambo" or a "Quimbo."  He would be fortunate to be a "Tom."

Suzanne Hamner

There is probably nothing more damaging or dangerous to a republic than an uneducated populace.  Unfortunately, today's generation is filled with college graduates and college attendees who remain uneducated – more so than any previous generation.

Readers of Freedom Outpost have heard why this is the case repeatedly;  therefore, there is no reason to repeat it.  So, when Snoop Dog referred to Kanye West as an "Uncle Tom," the foul-mouthed rapper revealed his ignorance and lack of education.................Calling someone an "Uncle Tom" is actually a compliment, not an insult.  Tom was a Christian slave who possessed high moral principles and a good character.  He refused to "go along" with what he was told when the instructions conflicted with his faith, principles and values.  Because of his belief system, Legree, Sambo and Quimbo beat Tom to death.  Though Sambo and Quimbo beat him, Tom prays and witnesses to the two about Jesus Christ...........To Read More....

Are Trump's Accusers 'Mad'?

"Everybody's got to believe in something. I believe I'll have another beer." -- W.C. Fields

Cal Thomas Posted: Jan 09

Having lost an election they thought they would win and unable to get over it; having been staggeringly wrong about their predictions that a Trump presidency would be the end of global economies; now putting faith in a special counsel to bring down the president with evidence that looks increasingly dubious, the left has taken refuge in the only shelter available to them: the president is off his rocker, mad, crazy, unstable and therefore the 25th Amendment must be invoked and Trump removed from office.

Is that the best they've got? Let's see them run on that platform this November and in 2020.....To Read More....

Who Are You Calling a Moron?

Stephen Moore Jan 09, 2018 @ Townhall

I remember when I was in fifth grade and kept losing tennis matches to a kid I despised. After one match I slammed down my racket and fumed to my mother that my nemesis was a really terrible tennis player. She brought me back down to earth by placing her hands on my shoulders, looking me in the eyes and saying: "How bad can he be, if he keeps beating you?"

Which brings me to the trash talking from the media and others on the intellectual left about Donald Trump in the wake of Michael Wolff's new anti-Trump screed, "Fire and Fury." The talking heads are now out in full force, once again thrashing Trump as a moron, a dangerous fool who is intellectually and temperamentally "unfit for office" and even "mentally ill." This is what they have been saying since the day Trump announced he was running for president.

The consensus among the never-Trumpers was that his chances of winning the election were somewhere between 5 percent and zero; Hillary Clinton was going to win one of the greatest landslides in the history of American politics and even deep-red Texas would go Democratic. New York Magazine called Trump during the campaign "the crudest and most vacuous presidential candidate in human memory." Then the dream team of top economists piled on and universally trashed Trump's economic agenda as a recipe for "another great depression" and a "stock market crash."

Trump not only defied the political sages by winning but also in just a year has unleashed one of the most ferocious economic revivals in modern times. The very day that the left began again hurling its latest accusations of Trump being too unstable to be president, the Dow plowed through the 25,000 mark for the first time ever. Instead of the stock market crashing as a result of the Trump economic agenda, we've had a 40 percent and $6 trillion gain in financial asset wealth since Election Day. More than 100 companies have announced bonuses or pay hikes for their workers as a result of the tax cut -- the same tax cut that pundits insister would not help working-class Americans.

Yes, this is some moron we've put in charge of the nation's economy.

This isn't the first time the left has questioned the aptitude of a conservative president. Throughout Ronald Reagan's eight years in office, liberals dismissed the Gipper as a B-list actor who attended tiny Eureka College and who was so stupid that he thought ketchup was a vegetable. He was accused of "a penchant for offering simplistic solutions to hideously complex problems," and ridiculed for watching "Little House on the Prairie" reruns with Nancy in the White House at night. This simpleton won two landslide presidential elections, resurrected the stagflation-ravaged economy of the 1970s and won the Cold War. What an imbecile.

My friend Craig Shirley, one of the definitive Reagan biographers, tells me that "one similarity between Reagan and Trump is that both were always underestimated by their political adversaries."
Yes, Trump says and tweets crazy things. He exaggerates the facts. He puts his foot in his mouth. Meanwhile, he keeps winning and winning.

As my mother would say: If Trump is such an idiot, what does this say about the intelligence quotient of the elites on the left whom he keeps outsmarting?

How to be stupid

John Hayward |
Scientists spend a lot of time studying intelligence, and arguing over how it can be measured. They should invest more effort in studying stupidity. Intelligence is largely potential and theoretical, but stupidity is practical. As a great philosopher once explained to her son, “Stupid is as stupid does.”
The key ingredient in applied stupidity is lack of effort. Intelligence without effort is a high-performance engine without fuel. Very smart people can do incredibly stupid things, usually because they weren’t paying attention. I have been in the room when this happened on numerous occasions........Smart people make mistakes and learn from them. Stupid people make the same mistakes over and over again.....
Apathy is another sinkhole for energy. Apathetic people don’t care, so they don’t try. The result is functionally equivalent to stupidity........
Most people have the neural capacity to conduct themselves in a reasonably intelligent and expressive manner, so if you want to be stupid, the key technique is to avoid putting any effort into thinking. Tell yourself that you shouldn’t have to try hard, or that the rest of the world should accommodate your indolence.
Insist that it’s unfair to expect patience or diligence from you.... Share your raw emotional reactions with the world around you, in the most crudely impassioned manner possible...Please Read More....It Get's Better!
