Senate Judiciary hearings reveal more proof of the blatant bias of Biden’s DOJ

March 3, 2023 By Rajan Laad

Yesterday during a hearing  before the Judiciary Committee, we saw ample evidence of the blatant dual standards and the deep politicization of the Department of Justice. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) led the charge, challenging Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland on many fronts Cruz asked Garland about the inaction over the past 10 months after pro-abortion protesters threatened and harassed Supreme Court justices outside their homes following the leaked Dobbs decision

Cruz reminded Garland of the federal law that bans “picketing or parading” near a judge’s residence Cruz chided Garland for his inaction when ‘rioters descended on the homes of six Supreme Court justices, night after night after night' and when far-left “groups posted online information about where the justices worship, or their home addresses, or where their kids went to school.”

“But did you bring even a single case against any of the protesters threatening the justices, under 18 USC Section 1507 … or did the Department of Justice decide this law doesn’t apply it if it is harassing justices for an opinion that we don’t like?”  Cruz rightly called it a case of political bias by Garland.............To Read More...

Senate Hearing on Attorney General Merrick Garland

By Rich Kozlovich

One of the things most will come away with is Garland was being brutalized during this hearing. And he's being brutalized because he earned it!   As you watch these videos, you can't help but recognize the truth of that.

The second thing most will come away with is he's really good a logical fallacies, misdirection, and shifting the blame.   One thing Cruz, Hawley, Kennedy, and Cotton have been extremely good at is forcing them back to the point at hand, and forcing them to answer the question asked versus the answers they keep giving to questions that aren't asked, including why the DOJ has a dual standard of justice.

Josh Hawley Torches Merrick Garland Over FBI’s ‘Unbelievable Show of Force’ Against Pro-Life By - Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) blasted Attorney General Merrick Garland over the FBI’s outrageous arrest of a Catholic pro-life father during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Wednesday. Mark Houck, an author and sidewalk counselor,  was found not guilty in January of federal charges alleging he violated the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act.  The law makes it a federal crime to use physical force with the intent to injure, intimidate and interfere with anyone obtaining or providing abortion services.........  Mr. Attorney General, I’ll just say to you it’s a disgrace!”

Here's Senator Kennedy's questioning, and while he's far more quiet, far more polite and, and far less emotional, he's equally effective in exposing these witnesses corruption  as he sets verbal, logical and intellectual traps these liars can't help but fall into.

Senator Cotton and even Senator Grassley roasted Garland.  I wouldn't want to be him for any amount of money and I wonder why he just doesn't resign.  But he won't, and most likely, none of the nitwits Biden has appointed and have been exposed as either lazy, incompetent, or just downright stupid will resign Why, because as my grandfather used to shake his head and say: No Shame!

AG Merrick Garland’s outrageous Senate testimony sparked ringing denunciations from GOP senators

October 28, 2021 By Thomas Lifson

Attorney General Merrick Garland yesterday demonstrated that he is unfit for office as the nation’s chief law enforcement officer, much less as a justice of the Supreme Court. Whatever reservations you may have about Mitch McConnell, be grateful that kept this hack off the Supreme Court.

Garland basically stonewalled on all the difficult questions that he faced. He defended his now-notorious memo to the FBI, written in response (in 4 days!) to a letter from the National School Boards Association, even as GOP senators repeatedly pointed out that the NSBA now has apologized for it.

No apologies were forthcoming from Garland. Nor were yes or no answers to questions posed to him by Republicans who wanted straight answers. A number of times, he used the “I can’t remember” or “I didn’t know” dodge.

Good example is this brief (under 4 minutes) interaction with Senator Tom Cotton, in which he defended the letter and failed to answer the basic point of why he called for the National Security Division of the FBI (which handles terrorism) to investigate those who complain about school boards..........To Read More...
