Who Cares What Hollywood Thinks?

By Rich Kozlovich

Typically P&D doesn't do sports or entertainment, unless there's a social issue involved, either domestic or geopolitical, and that's happening more and more today in both arenas. Hypocritical sports "star" multimillionaires, most of whom don't have an eighth grade reading comprehension level, just can't stop telling the world how much they hate America.  Yet in their hypocrisy they demonstrate how much they love China.

Then there's Brittany Griner who loved Russia.  Can I have a drum roll please? Schadenfreude!

Over the last week I've seen two pieces on Jennifer Lawrence, and both of them are what I consider the perfect example of what's wrong with Hollywood leftists, they're all certifiable!

The first was a Breitbart piece, where she rants she “can’t f... with people who aren’t political anymore” — meaning she can’t deal with them anymore — and that she “unleash[es] text message” rants at her family in Kentucky and has nightmares about Tucker Carlson."

She rails against her family who apparently had the unmitigated gall to vote for Trump, and apparently.....gasp......against her wishes!  I'm shocked, shocked I tell you.  And now, after working really hard to forgive them, she simply can't forgive her father or the rest of her ignorant and unenlightened family.  Imagine that.

From this piece alone you can conclude she's rude, crude and stupid, venting on all the leftist narratives of the moment, because she has the right information, yet she's the one who needs a therapist, and has nightmares about Tucker Carlson.   Remarkable!

Does anyone besides me think she just another spoiled Hollywood brat who suffers from extended, extended, extended adolescence, and some serious emotional problems?  Then it gets worse, in this piece Rajan Laad adds this logic to her rants about her family:

She almost sounded like the brainwashed children from Orwell's dystopian 1984, who turn on their parents for being disloyal to the establishment.  Jennifer also convinces herself that her family members live a different life and consume different information; hence, they voted differently.  What she meant is that her family was gullible and foolish such that they were conned by the piped piper of Trump Tower.

There it is, they're ill informed, misinformed, brainwashed and stupid, but she's enlightened and they deserve her contempt, in spite of the fact they gave her life, raised her and supported her for so many years of her young life.  The article goes on to demonstrate just how obnoxious, irrational and self serving and self absorbed this foolish young woman really is, saying:

These relentless condescending utterances during their appearances and via their movies are the reason the public has grown tired of the smug, arrogant, and entitled Hollywood and is rejecting them.

And she's not alone among the really dumb people in Hollywood.  Take The Meathead for example, he thinks Joe Biden is the best President to have appeared on the scene in the last 60 years.

Then there's the abject hypocrisy of Hollywood on display as they cater to China, a nation that's clearly right now committing crimes against humanity, with the possible exception of Keanu Reeves.

Andrea Widburg states:

Every story about Reeves shows a nice guy who's managed to maintain his values.  Just recently, yet another story emerged showing that Reeves has a decency that other Hollywood people utterly lack...........It turns out that, while 99.999% of Hollywood people will bow down very low to China despite its terrible human rights abuses, Keanu won't.  In a Just The News article about most of Hollywood being completely copacetic with China drastically altering the ending to 1999's Fight Club, Keanu is one of the few whose principles keep him from yielding to China's demands:

Has Hollywood stars always been this bad?  The fact of the matter is a great many of them were just as rude, crude and stupid as Lawrence, Reiner and a host of others, but in Hollywood's Golden Era the studios kept them under control making sure they were presented as wholesome good Americans, when in reality any of them were seriously damaged goods, and now the seriously damaged ilk has taken over Hollywood and the entertainment industry as a whole.

These are people who are really good a memorizing lines someone else has written, saying those lines at someone else's direction, moving in a way they're told to move, and portraying people who don't exist.

So why would anyone think that makes them smart?

If that's true, and it is, why should we care what these misfits have to say?  As my 93 year old mother used to say, "That falls under the category of who gives a crap", only she didn't say crap.

Oh, by the way.  Lawrence estimated wealth is 160 million dollars. And she needs a therapist for her suffering?   Imagine that!

Former ESPN Host Bob Ley Says LeBron ‘Has a Responsibility’ to Speak on Chinese Human Rights Abuses

Warner Todd Huston

ESPN’s Bob Ley took aim at those attacking the new Saudi-backed LIV golf league over the country’s human rights record. At the same time, they ignore the NBA’s connections to human rights abusing China.  As nearly two dozen pro golfers have jumped ship from the PGA Tour to join the Saudi-backed pro league, many have accused pros including Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, and Bryson DeChambeau of “sportswashing” the Saudi government’s human rights abuses — most especially the death of occasional columnist Jamal Khashoggi.  Indeed, a few weeks ago, Koepka blasted the media for constantly asking about the LIV league at the expense of even the PGA Tour’s offerings...............To Read More....

Bob Costas: ‘Outspoken’ Kaepernick, LeBron James ‘Conspicuously Mum’ on China’s Abuses

Pam Key

Former NBC Sports personality Bob Costas said Tuesday on CNN that “outspoken” former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick and NBA star LeBron James were “conspicuously mum” on China’s record of human rights abuse.

The Biden administration announced on Monday that the United States will not send an envoy of diplomats to the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing but will allow American athletes to participate in the games.

Costas said, “Beginning in 1996, when I ran afoul of the Chinese because I said as they came in during the opening ceremony in Atlanta, you’re looking at the one nation that has the means and the motivation to replicate what the old Soviet Bloc and the Eastern Bloc did with their sports machine, with all that implies and a few other things. Orchestrated from Beijing, there was an effort to have me fired. NBC would have none of it. Then they said we’ll accept a full public apology in primetime, and I wouldn’t do that.

Eventually, it went away.”...........To Read More...

A Message for LeBron James

Wayne Allyn Root Sep 06, 2020

The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Townhall.com.

Pro sports in America are dying in front of our very eyes. This will be a story taught in business schools across America for decades to come. The story is about how to kill a multibillion-dollar empire overnight with just your big mouth. It's about killing the goose that laid the golden egg. It's about the massive disconnect between sports stars and their customers -- the people who pay their grossly inflated and obscene salaries. You are killing yourselves. It's clearly suicide. Stop talking politics. You're going to be playing in front of empty stands forever..............

Before I get to the reason pro athletes should keep politics away from their sports, let me ask LeBron James and his NBA pals a few very important questions.
  • LeBron, how come you never said a word, let alone threatened to end the season, over black-on-black violence in big cities across the USA? Thousands of black young men are dying on the streets of inner cities. Why don't you care?
  • LeBron, how about Chicago? Why doesn't it bother you that 50 to 100 innocent citizens are being shot there nearly every weekend? The victims are virtually 100 percent black. Why isn't that worth a boycott?
  • LeBron, how about the innocent little black children murdered in gang shootings in big cities across America? It happens every day. Why doesn't that bother you?
  • LeBron, how about the millions of black babies aborted? Why not cancel the NBA season for that? Why doesn't that bother you?
  • LeBron, has any sports league EVER stopped playing or postponed playoff games for a hero cop murdered, or a hero soldier murdered? That's not important to you?
  • LeBron, did you or your NBA pals stop playing to honor the black retired police captain in St. Louis killed by a thug during riots?
  • LeBron, did the NBA or any other sports league postpone games or threaten to end the season when a sniper murdered five Dallas cops in one day? Why didn't that bother any pro athletes?
  • LeBron, did you or any pro athletes demand games be stopped for the little boy shot in the head and murdered two weeks ago? He happened to be white. The man accused of murdering him happens to be black.
  • That has to be one of the most shocking crimes in recent American history. Who kills a smiling, happy 5-year-old on his bicycle, execution-style? But I never heard a peep from one NBA player. Why? You didn't notice?
Is the execution of a 5-year-old less important to you than a white cop killing or wounding a black criminal who has a long criminal record and refuses to obey orders from a police officer? Really?
LeBron, isn't it strange that neither you nor your NBA pals ever gave a damn about human rights violations in China? There are billions of dollars to be made looking the other way, while communist China abuses, arrests, tortures, and murders its own citizens. China is said to have concentration camps for Muslims. But you know that, right? Obviously, none of that is a problem for NBA players if billions of dollars are at stake..........To Read More....

NBA's Real Moral Center

By Rich Kozlovich

NBA players are outraged!  Racism must end!  They won't play until it does!

Okay, great, stay home, I won't even notice! I'm beginning to wonder just how many will really care?

They're paying a bunch of pampered cry babies obscene amounts of money to play a kid's game, and that's okay, because this is the world's foremost capitalist system.  But if they don't play, eventually no one will pay. Let's look at this.

Of course some of these players won't have to worry as they made many millions already, but for most of them, considering the spending habits of these spoiled egocentric brats, and the alternative skills most of them have:  Maybe they will let us know how dish washing works out for them?
"Sixty percent of NBA players go broke within five years of departing the league. And 78 percent of former NFL players experience financial distress two years after retirement."
The fact is, I stopped watching sports over two years ago, all sports, including my beloved Browns, and guess what? I don't mind at all anymore. I don't know who the players are any longer.  I don't even know who the coaches are, and I don't even know who the quarterback is.  I have to look up to see who the owner is now, as I keep forgetting his name.  After the Browns left Cleveland I largely tuned out the NFL. When we got another team we called the Browns, I was glad, but I never really got back into the Browns or the NFL.

I was never much of a basketball fan, and I only got into the NBA when Cleveland was hot many years ago when Lennie Wilkins was the coach, who was always a class act.
Although Wilkens retired as a player in 1975, an even more impressive phase of his career was only beginning. Wilkens remained in Portland as head coach after retiring for one season. He returned to Seattle in 1977 as head coach. The Sonics had started the year 5–17, but when Wilkens took over, he crafted what many believed was a talentless squad into a tight unselfish squad that worked well as a team.
That was his great skill, taking decent talent and turning them into a "tight unselfish squad that worked well as as team", making "the team" a major talent.  That Cleveland team took the Bulls to all five games in the playoffs.

But with the Lebron era, I was totally turned off.   Especially so when he spit on us as he left the first time.  Then when he "deigned" to return, and the fans groveled before him, I found that sickening.  From that point on I was done with the NBA entirely. Even when they had the playoffs here.

Here's the only reality we need to understand about the NBA players and their stand.  The NBA, including the players, supported China against the Hong Kong protestors, not to mention all the other outrages going on in China, because of a major financial arrangement for NBA games in China.

Big bucks, low social justice, low values, low morality, low integrity and a major high in hypocrisy, and in my opinion, the biggest hypocrite of them all is Lebron James. Here's one picture below highlighting that hypocrisy by the NBA, and here's a link to appropriate cartoons and more.

Stay home Lebron! You don't need the money, and we don't need you!

Those poor NFL wage slaves

Lebron James says NFL owners are “old white men” with a slave mentality. I think Lebron James is letting slip a very large craving for attention. Nobody forces anybody to play in the NFL. NFL players are well aware of the physical ramifications of pro football – the high possibility of brain damage and crippling injury.

They are also aware of the financial ramifications, and have not been slow to cash in. They enrich high powered lawyers who find ways to make them ever-more money. Taking advantage of still other ramifications, they father kids all across the fruited plain.

No slave ever dreamed of such a life..........Read more
