Connecticut Policy Robs Girls of Athletic Opportunities

In 1972, Congress passed Title IX, a civil rights law crucial to securing equal educational opportunities for women.

Since its passage, Title IX has paved the way for women all over the country to choose the education they want, pursue careers of their choice, and participate in sports at elite levels. Nearly forty years after Title IX was passed, more than 190,000 women participate in college sports every year. Before that, fewer than 30,000 did.

Now, a policy in Connecticut threatens that progress. It allows males who identify as female to compete in girls’ sports. But males have obvious physical advantages and have deprived girls in Connecticut repeatedly of championship titles and opportunities to advance to the next level of competition........................There are real physical differences between men and women, and those differences matter. My Take - Once again we see the Law of Unintended Consequences rears it's ugly head.  And so often it's because of what one writer calls, The Cobra Effect, caused by activists in and out of government imposing their view of how life should be lived by everyone else.  

And since they're only people, they do so without the ability to see all the potential ramifications of their actions.  Without taking into account that people will always be people.   Even if these actions are well meaning, people will warp them into something that supports their social and intellectual paradigms, even it's going 180 degrees in opposition to what was intended.  That's life on the left.  

For years we heard all these leftist feminist lunatics declaring there were no differences between men and women.  Once again we see another one of these stupid leftist narratives crumble in the face of reality.

Once again we see just what "fairness" means to the left, and the innocent suffer.
