No, Jennifer Rubin, John Eastman’s Defense is Not Doing Poorly

Former Republican Jennifer Rubin wrote an opinion piece for The Washington Post last week criticizing Trump attorney John Eastman’s defense in the California bar disbarment trial against him. Unlike her, I’ve watched every minute of the trial, which is going into the third week. The bar is desperately trying to show there was no legal authority for Eastman to advise Trump that Mike Pence could have rejected electoral slates from states suspected of election fraud, but as more evidence comes out, their case is getting weaker and weaker. Rubin said Pence’s attorney Greg Jacob told Eastman it was “gravely irresponsible for you to entice the President with an academic theory that had no legal viability.” Since Rubin clearly hasn’t bothered watching the trial, she won’t tell you what Jacob said at trial. A lot of scrutiny is on Maricopa County’s RINO leadership due to the botched 2022 midterm election, where four Democrats strangely allegedly won Arizona’s top races despite three of them being well behind in the polls. The Maricopa County Supervisors and Recorder have adamantly defended the integrity of the electoral process, despite hundreds of thousands of misdemeanors and countless anomalies which all coincidentally happened to favor Democrats, violating the Law of Large Numbers. 

........Ever notice how RINOs are always well off, well networked and have been around a long time as GOP establishment? It comes down to follow the money and who they know, but they’re too dishonest to admit it. ..............Nonprofits and think tanks, media, even Republican Party operations are often funded by quirky billionaires with their own agendas, usually tied to protecting their money.  Businesses are so heavily regulated by the government now that they can no longer be considered purely private actors...............Kari Lake could not find election attorneys to represent her suing over the botched election because they were too terrified of the Bar. In contrast, the left was represented by the most powerful progressive election attorneys in the country like Marc Elias. Rachel Alexander, a conservative lawyer, writer and former editor of a gun magazine, was targeted simply because she is a well-spoken conservative attorney who writes political articles and briefly represented former Sheriff Joe Arpaio as one of his attorneys in 2010.

This could happen to any of us on the right. State Bars and the judiciary are almost monolithically controlled by the left, as many of you know, even in red states like Arizona where Rachel lives. The legal system was abused to terrorize her and destroy her life, in one of the most egregious witch hunts ever. She went through nine years of being targeted with endless legal costs and defamatory media articles, until she finally appealed pro se to the U.S. Supreme Court and they declined to hear her case, only accepting a tiny amount of cases each year, usually more high-profile cases.  The corrupt county government would not pay for an attorney, so she was forced to come up with the money herself and represent herself much of the way — even though the actions they accused her of were taken in her official capacity working for the Maricopa County Attorney. The Left’s Factions Increasingly Turning Their Sights on Each Other

As the left becomes more intolerant, its various factions are encountering more conflict with each other.

• Black Lives Matter and other minorities create “spaces” where white people aren’t allowed — which exclude sympathetic white liberals.
• Transgenders and feminists get into vicious fights over whether transwomen are really women.
• Radical immigration groups crash LGBT marches.
• Feminists on college campuses broadly paint male co-eds as rapists — even liberal men.
• Comedians who routinely mock conservatives are finding themselves chased away from college campuses by snowflakes who don’t like their LGBT and race jokes.
• Bernie Sanders’ supporters are investigating the mysterious death of former DNC staffer Seth Rich, while Hillary Clinton supporters ridicule them as conspiracy theorists.

The left’s dominant factions are even more likely to run into conflicts with each other as a result of the left taking over much of society. Since conservatives are increasingly blocked out of areas like education, the left is free to run rampant. For example, there is no longer a debate over whether to teach children encouraging messages about being LGBT in school. Instead, the debate is whether to include transvestites, polygamists and more controversial aspects of gender and sexuality in the discussion...............The left’s model is unsustainable.
