There is Great Cause For Optimism

I'm Optimistic As the Months Wind Down to Our Mid-Term Elections: Part One of an uplifting series.

By Jay Lehr

The following excerpt of a satiric imitation of a flight attendant’s commentary to the passengers on an airline flight readying for take-off came to me anonymously. I am quoting it as in my opinion it is a perfect place to begin my series of articles on OPTIMISM for Cfact.org.

Good morning and welcome to Flight 2022. We are prepared to take off into the New Year. Please make sure your Positive Attitude and Gratitude are secured and locked in the upright position. All self-destructive: pity anger, selfishness, pride and resentment should be turned off as best you can at this time. All negativity, hurt and discouragement should be put away. Should you lose your positive attitude under pressure during this flight, reach up and pull down an inspirational message. These will be automatically activated by confidence in our nation. You can assist other passengers who have little optimism. There will be no baggage allowed on this flight. Our Captain has cleared us for take-off, destination return to greatness.

Lest my readers think me a Pollyanna unable to understand the fix we are in, I will begin painting the morbid picture so many of you see before regaling you with the oft hidden reasons to be optimistic.

Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum has been gathering the global elite in the Swiss ski resort of Davos every January since 1971. Schwab has predicted lives will be transformed by changes in our banking system and the consequences of the pandemic which are comparable to a world war. He has said “the possibilities for change and the resulting new order are now unlimited”.

Ernst Wolf, a German financial journalist, in an August 2021 lecture ”Uncovering The Corona Narrative” says if you don’t believe there is a plan, note that The Great Reset, less than 4 months after the world wide lockdown gives exact instructions on how to use Covid-19 to creatively destroy the world and build a new world reminiscent of the darkest days of National Socialism. Wolf says “this sounds shockingly like a carefully planned apocalypse. This agenda is not only planned, but can hardly be surpassed in evil and deceitfulness. Who would have imagined depriving people of their freedom for their own protection”.

The United Nations signed a vague agreement with the World Economic Forum to cooperate in the planned economic changes. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) Foundation received legal donations from the likes of Pfizer, Johnson and Johnson and other corporate partners like Vanguard and Blackrock who are the primary owners of Time Warner, Comcast, Disney and Comcast who control 90% of the US media landscape. The WEF has brought together business leaders and politicians in commanding roles, people in positions of power like Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Angela Merkel and Emanuel Macron. The stage is clearly set to change the face of our country.

But the evil doers pack of lies to us are collapsing. The acceleration of their efforts is resulting in ever more absurd arguments and rabid defamation. The media’s vehemence testifies not to strength but to weakness. Whoever spreads more grotesque lies with more emphasis such as the pandemic of the unvaccinated, declaring healthy people to be public enemy number one and whoever locks down entire countries for a single test case do this only because they have run out of arguments and in desperation are lashing out. The credibility of those who lead us into this disaster is being buried deeper day by day. As Abraham Lincoln said: “You can not fool all the people all the time”.

Paraphrasing Dr. Jane Orient’s November 2020 essay in the Physicians for Civil Defense newsletter which drew ideas from Ernst Wolf’s lecture, “as the other side gets more and more entangled in their lies, we have the opportunity for a vast and comprehensive opportunity to enlighten the public about the real background of the alleged pandemic, the real balance of power in the world and the real threats we face. Even the efforts to reconstruct our banking system leading to the impoverishment of many is more complicated than the left is capable of providing.”

Our trump card is that the other side does not act according to rules of reason but out of motives of greed and power, bringing itself into ever greater difficulties in Wolff’s view. We must use their weaknesses. They want more money and more possessions and to have all the weapons in the world. But their power rests not on these things, but solely on the ignorance of the majority of the people. The majority does not yet understand the evil game the minority is playing with them.

We must keep the peace, consistently expose their lies and show the people piece by piece by whom they are being deceived.  We can then not only solve the current problems but use the crisis to turn the direction of human history and open the door to a new and better era Wolf stated in the aforementioned lecture.

The agenda of a great reset is not new. The aim is destruction of Western Civilization, freedom, free will and the human soul - and its replacement with a new global feudalism, and every asset controlled by a small elite. Climate change was not creating enough fear. Wolf suggests the elite itself is desperate, and accelerating their plan and as it becomes more obvious to the common man or women it grants our best chance to right the ship and take back our nation.

I will continuously emphasize in this series of essays that our watershed will be the National poll we call the Mid-Term elections next November. We should see a significant decrease of our uninformed public most of whom are reckoning the damage being wrought by our present tyrannical administration.

Many will turn from a usual D next to their votes to an R, not that the Rs are very much better than the Ds but clearly better in their ability to turn off the faucet of money being spent to the detriment of our nation.

The American People Will Cancel the Democrats in 2022

By January 19th, 2021 @ America Out Loud

If the Democrats actually try to do all the nonsensical and, indeed, dangerous things they appear committed to doing, like country-wide mask enforcement and COVID shutdowns, bowing to the wishes of the Communist Party of China, trillions of taxpayer dollars wasted on climate change and so-called green energy, killing fossil fuels, open borders, amnesty for millions of illegals, etc.—then there will be little the Republicans need do to bring about the Dems’ complete collapse in the 2022 midterm elections. The American people will do it for them, leaving Biden/Harris unable to continue their radical agenda until 2024 when they will be canceled themselves.

It is also entirely possible that Biden/Harris will do little of what they promised the extreme elements of the party and those entities will, of course, go berserk, with their allies launching another ‘summer of love’ in which leftists burn down neighborhoods across America. Indeed, the Squad plus newcomers, Ocasio-Cortez et al, could very well be Joe Biden’s worst nightmare when they realize how little of their radical agenda will actually be enabled.

In “America Today & The Light At The End Of The Tunnel,” our column last week on America Out Loud, we explained that there is a silver lining to the dark storm cloud that is the Democrat takeover of Congress and the presidency. Indeed, there is reason to believe that in their first two years they will do far more damage to their own party and its followers than they could actually accomplish against the entire country. The expression, in use since at least 15th century England, is:

“Give a man enough rope and he will hang himself.”

Witness what is happened to the Liberals in Canada. While railing against former conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper for what the Liberals regarded as inadequate greenhouse gas reduction targets, after finally winning the government, now Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberals have exactly the same targets, to the disgust of climate activists. Also, despite Trudeau’s virtue signaling on climate change, he now supports the Keystone XL pipeline. Indeed, in his post-election phone call with Biden, the first foreign leader to speak with the president-elect after Nov 3rd, the importance of having energy cooperation between our two countries was emphasized. Keystone XL is, of course, an extremely important part of that cooperation. Canceling it will, according to Gregory R. Wrightstone, Executive Director of the CO2 Coalition:

  • halt 830,000 bbls/day of crude from Alberta to Nebraska
  • require about 4,500 tanker trucks per day to replace
  • kill jobs on both sides of the border (it is a $9 billion project led by TC Energy (old TransCanada))
  • harm Canadian/US relations
  • harm US energy security which could lead to more “Wars for Oil”
  • do virtually nothing to reduce atmospheric CO2.

On Monday, Alberta Premier Jason Kenny explained the implications further at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-HVVpE1u1g&feature=emb_logo. Here is an excerpt:

“We cannot imagine the circumstance where the United States would effectively choose to benefit OPEC dictatorships that have spread conflict undermining global security rather than partnering with its closest democratic-ally, Canada. Now the government of Canada has said that the top priority in the bilateral relationship is Keystone XL and I understand Prime Minister Trudeau expressed that to President-elect Biden on their call on November 9th of last year in which the statement was issued indicating that they agreed to engage on issues such as energy environment including Keystone XL. It is our fervent hope that the incoming U.S. Administration will keep that commitment to engage with the top ally of the United States, with Canada.”

Even uber-liberal Trudeau seems to finally understand at least some of all this. Ocasio-Cortez et al are unlikely to ever fully appreciate the implications of their proposals, but, assuming Biden actually survives very far into his four-year term, he is likely to also realize the impracticality of canceling such important energy projects with free nations.

It was reported that Biden will indeed cancel XL because he thinks he needs an early win on climate to assuage the environmentalist on his team.

Yet Whitestone explained that a reduction of 100% of America’s emissions would only reduce 0.04 degree C by 2050. Even John Kerry admitted in 2016 that anything the U.S. does will have essentially no effect on the climate because China, India, and Africa will offset whatever we do.

We will now use public feedback from last week’s article to expand on our premise that America faces only a temporary setback due to the election steal by Biden’s bunch.

President Donald Trump will be sorely missed by many patriotic Americans, of course, but other conservatives will be ready to fill his shoes provided we can get the election frauds corrected in time for the next elections. We hope that this perspective will help lift the pessimism felt right now by conservatives across the land and to rejuvenate the optimism needed to continue to fight more effectively on behalf of our country.

One reader suggested that this election does not mean the Democrats will have it all their way to conduct a full trial of their terrible socialist ideas. The House and Senate are in fact in a near state of deadlock and one or both may begin to slide right as the 2022 mid-term elections approach, even before draconian legislative action can be enabled. Many readers believed that Biden will be unable to hold his position for more than two years, at which point he will be 80, leaving vice-president-elect Kamala Harris to replace him. Harris will likely be completely ineffective for the final 24 months of their term, having zero experience, public support, or leadership skills, accelerating the party’s collapse.

We wrote last week that the nation was split down the middle politically and was taken to task on that view. Critics felt strongly that no more than 15% of the country were “woke” liberals trying to take down the country established by our founders. More believed that as many as 70% of us are broadly supportive of a populist/libertarian brand of politics which Grover Norquist, President of Americans for Tax Reform, has long called “center-right”.

President Trump was cruising to an easy re-election victory before the China virus derailed our country with a fake pandemic, fake race riots, and then rampant election fraud ending his ability to win four more years. A fair election should have found that Trump won a majority of the popular vote by a few percentage points.

We were also fairly criticized for saying that Trump may have deepened the political divide in the nation when in fact he was healing old wounds that Obama had reopened. Fixing the judiciary, ending foreign entanglements, confronting political correctness and social media censorship, expanding school choice, and trying to end global warming hysteria all worked to help alleviate, rather than deepen, divisions among Americans.

The appearance of ‘deep division,’ we were told, was and clearly is because Trump isolated and ridiculed the radical left and they fought back by weaponizing every situation they had captured in the past three decades. This included public schools, colleges, and the many unelected government officials working against him.

Our biggest and most pressing obstacle is fixing the election laws that made possible vote harvesting, no-excuse absentee voting, no signature checks, and unsecured election computers. That is admittedly a big ‘ask’ but is what all fair-minded citizens from across the political spectrum should focus on right now. Indeed, if Biden is really serious about healing the deep rift between left and right in America, then he must appoint a neutral commission to properly study the claims of election fraud. Only if it is demonstrated in an open and transparent fashion that the election was not rigged for Joe, is there any chance that the 40% of Americans who think the election was dishonest will be satisfied. Alternatively, if the claims of election fraud are shown to be justified, which we believe would be the case, then Biden must lead the process of bulletproofing our election process against future fraud.

24 months, even 48, with a gridlocked House and Senate are not really enough time to descend into the pessimistic political chaos we warned of last week. Most of us will not notice a big change in our taxes or the regulations that protect our communities. In the short term, our critics feel it will mostly be just political theater. They are probably right, and this has made us even more optimistic than we were last week.

So, we now even more firmly predict that the blazes that marked the trail for our ancestors will shine brightly to lead us back. America will get through these latest challenges and continue to be the land of the free and home of the brave.

America Today & The Light At The End Of The Tunnel

By January 12th, 2021

https://americaoutloud.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/AdobeStock_65387388.jpeg

This past week we realized that our lives are about to change significantly, definitely not for the better, for at least the next two years. Contrary to the desires of half the electorate, a new wave has landed on our shores.

Many of us have been disappointed by the contrary attitudes of family and friends. We look at people we have known all our lives,  filled with hostility. But at last, they will have an opportunity to have politics and governance agree with their opinions. And, if you think this is a bad thing, you might want to reconsider the situation. With the presidency, the House of Representatives, and the Senate now firmly in Democrat control, it’s their turn to have it all their way. And they will discover that it’s far easier to criticize and attack than actually to be in charge of the country.

We see other nations going the way of Socialism and collapsing. But, for inexperienced young people, it all still seems like a great plan. Many others have long had a desire for the government to run, if not their lives, everyone else’s. Consider how America has changed in the past couple of decades:

  • Somehow, it’s become un-American for the census to count how many legal US citizens are in the United States.
  • People who say there is no such thing as gender are demanding a female president.
  • Universities that advocate equality discriminate against Asian-Americans in favor of African-Americans.
  • Some people are held responsible for things that happened before they were born, and other people are not held responsible for what they are doing right now.
  • Criminals are caught-and-released to hurt more people, but stopping them is bad because it’s a violation of THEIR RIGHTS.
  • People who have never owned slaves should pay slavery reparations to people who have never been slaves.
  • If a man says he is a woman, you are required to agree with him…or is it her, regardless of their anatomy.
  • Irish doctors and German engineers who want to immigrate to the US must go through a rigorous vetting process, but any illiterate with a questionable history who jumps the southern border appears to be welcome.
  • Five billion dollars for border security was said to be too expensive, yet we spend a bigger fortune for “free” health care for Illegals. Think about this, if you cheat to get into college, you go to prison, but if you cheat to get into the country, you may get to go to college for free.
  • People have died of a Chinese virus, but it is considered racist to refer to it as such even though it began there and spread across the world occurred because the Communist Party of China allowed its infected citizens to fly all over the world even while quarantining Chinese cities to prevent its spread in their country. Regardless, it is no more racist to call it the Chinese Virus than using German Measles or Spanish flu. German, Spanish, and Chinese (and Mexican, for that matter) are nationalities, not races.
  • The death penalty for murder is considered wrong, but the unborn may be terminated without a second thought.

We are clearly living in a strange new world where what was once right is now questionable, at best. Things once considered moral can be immoral. Or as Alice said in the classic tale by Lewis Carroll:

“When I used to read fairy tales, I fancied that kind of thing never happened, and now here I am in the middle of one!”

No doubt, many of our readers may be depressed at this turn of events. We are not. America has been trending this way for many decades. The most effective, if painful, way to stop the trend is to engage in a full trial of ideas that many thought would lead this country to less opportunity for all. There is simply no way to end the squabbling and hostility of one half of the country against the other until the entire country sees the actual results of the others’ ideologies. While the past election clearly had questionable results, no one can deny that the nation is split down the middle, with half of us very liberal and the other half less so.

We have been through four years of total polarization due to the left’s daily attacks on the President. Even while doing many excellent things for the country, President Trump brought to a peak the differences that exist among us. While four more years would have accomplished more positive results, it also would have probably deepened the left/right divide.

Many people think that it might be a good thing to alternate government systems every six years. Now, like it or not, we have the opportunity to experience just that. However, the country will get to vote on it again in just two years when both the House of Representatives and the Senate could be flipped back to Republican control. So, the new administration will have two years to prove whether or not it has the ability to govern.

Many of our readers fear that in this time, Joe Biden and his new cabinet will destroy much of the country willed to us by our founding fathers. At the very least, much of what has been implemented in the past four years will be undone:

  • They will surely rejoin the Paris Climate Accord and pay another half-trillion of your tax dollars to it.
  • They will raise your taxes and inhibit further development of our vast petroleum resources, raising prices at the gas pump.
  • As wind and solar power proliferate, your electric bill will skyrocket, and brownouts and even rolling blackouts will become more common.
  • They may rejoin the nuclear treaty with Iran providing more money to breathe new life into once-powerful ISIS.
  • And, of course, as totalitarian ‘progressives’ often do, they will further limit free speech with the help of Facebook, Twitter, Google, and Amazon.

However, the old saying “what does not kill you will make you stronger” certainly now applies. In the final analysis, those of us who value our great nation outnumber the socialists. Our passion for getting our country back is being displayed with greater exuberance than at any other time in recent decades. We now clearly see how our freedoms are being eroded by mainstream media and their powerful establishment allies in the elite and the deep state.

The trail the United States of America has followed for 245 years to become the greatest free country the world has ever seen will not have been obliterated. The blazes that mark that trail will shine brightly, helping us to guide our way back.

 Part II

We wrote two weeks ago here at AmericaOutLoud that regardless of the Democrat, really socialist party’s, take over of the United States government, there was reason to believe that in their first two years they would do far more damage to their own party and its followers, than they could actually accomplish against the entire country.

We received a great deal of support for our premise some of which added to the support of our argument.  We will express these additional views here part two of our effort to lift the pessimistic views of so many patriots back to a more optimistic position where they can continue to fight more effectively on behalf of our country.

One reader made it clear that this election does not mean the democrats will have it all their way to offer a full trial of their terrible socialist ideas. The House and Senate are in fact in a near state of deadlock and one or both may  begin to slide into the R column as the 2022 election approaches, even before more legislative action can occur.

Many believe that Biden will be unable to hold his position for more than two years bringing  on Kamala Harris to replace him. Harris will likely be ineffective for the final 24 months of their term, having zero experience, public support or leadership skills.

We also said the the nation was split down the middle politically and were taken to task on that view. Critics felt strongly that no more than 15% of the country were the “woke” liberals trying to take down the country established by our founders. More believed that as many as 70% of us are broadly supportive of a populist/libertarian brand of politics which Grover Norquist, President of Americans for Tax Reform has long called “center right”.

This was surely true a year ago when President Trump was cruising to an easy re-election victory when the China virus derailed things with a fake pandemic, fake race riots and then rampant election fraud ending his ability to win 4 more years. A fair election should have found that Trump won a majority of the popular vote by a few percentage points.

We were also fairly criticized for saying that Trump deepened the political divide in the nation when in fact he was healing old racial wounds which Obama had reopened, tryin to end the global warming hysteria. Fixing the judiciary, ending foreign entanglements, confronting political correctness, expanding school choice all of which actually alleviated rather than deepened divisions among Americans.

The appearance of “deep division” we were told was and clearly is because Trump isolated and ridiculed the radical left and they fought back by weaponizing every situation they had captured in the past three decades including public school, colleges and the many unelected government officials working against him.

We beat them once in 2016, perhaps because they ran against  the most disliked candidate in history, but we can do it again in 4 years.. Of course our biggest obstacle may be fixing the election laws that made possible vote harvesting, no excuse absentee voting, no signature checks, and unsecured election computers. That is admittedly a big “ask”.

24 months and even 48 months with a gridlocked House and Senate are not enough to time to descend into even the pessimistic chaospolitical we described last week. While that is Abood thin perhaps the lessons we hope will be taught by a democratic disaster will not be taught.  Most of us will not notice a bi change in our taxes or the regulations that protect our communities.  In the short term our critics feel it will mostly be just political theater. They have made us even more optimistic than our original beliefs .

So we can more firmly predict that the blazes that marked the trail for our ancestors will shine brightly to lead us back and ensure that America gets through these latest challenges  and continues to be the land of the free and home of the brave.
