Time to Re-Evaluate the Legacy of Martin Luther King

After finding evidence that the "man of God" and "moral conscience of our nation," the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., participated in the rape of a parishioner, engaged in numerous sex orgies, received cash payments from known communists, and admitted that he was a Marxist, King biographer and Pulitzer Prize-winning author David Garrow wrote of King, "There is no question that a profoundly painful reckoning and reconsideration inescapably awaits."

Black Democrats and White liberals rail about the gains derived from the Civil Rights Movement.  I ask, "What gains?"  If murder, poverty, and mass incarceration are gains, you may have a point.  In an attempt to make him untouchable, liberals have protected King's counterfeit legacy by sealing his FBI files until 2027.  Nevertheless, his reckoning is here.

But that reckoning shouldn't occur exclusively because of King's immoral behavior.   It shouldn't happen because the "Good Reverend's" best friend, Ralph Abernathy, in his book And the Walls Came Tumbling Down, described King beating a woman and sleeping with two others at the Lorrain Motel the night before his death.  Or because Arthur Schlesinger recorded Jackie Kennedy saying he was "terrible, phony, and tricky."  Or that Black Major League Baseball player Don Newcombe reported to the FBI that King was a "drunk" and had an illegitimate child by a woman married to a sterile Los Angeles dentist.  Or because King allowed the dirty world of politics to turn the Black church into a puppet of the atheist and racist Democrat party.

No.  This reckoning should happen because Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights Movement have failed Black people.  They managed only to elect many Black Americans into office, with most of them belonging to the same evil Democrat party that had necessitated the Civil Rights Movement by enslaving, raping, castrating, and oppressing Black Americans for over one hundred and fifty years............To Read More....

César Chávez once declared, "History will judge societies and governments — and their institutions — not by how big they are or how well they serve the rich and the powerful, but by how effectively they respond to the needs of the poor and the helpless."

This quote got me thinking. How will history judge Martin Luther King, Jr.?

"The Troubling Legacy of Martin Luther King," a recent essay published by widely respected historian David Garrow in Standpoint, a widely respected British magazine, sparked fierce debate among historians. Within the press, however, Garrow's essay was met with a reaction somewhere between ambivalence and outright refutation.

Remember, this is David Garrow, author of King's Pulitzer Prize–winning biography. This is an author of real merit.

NY Times Deflects MLK ‘Rape’ Bombshell by Personally Attacking the Historian, FBI

The New York Times suddenly distrusts left-wing scholar and Pulitzer Prize-winning Martin Luther King Jr. biographer David Garrow. Why? Because the scholar unearthed F.B.I archives suggesting the civil rights icon once laughed along as a colleague raped a woman in his presence in a hotel.
Garrow’s bombshell piece was rejected by many news outlets, including the Times (which actually ran an pre-emptive op-ed against it, evidently before the paper’s skeptical news piece was even posted). It was eventually picked up by the British magazine Standpoint..........

Times reporter Jennifer Schuessler’s piece made the front of Wednesday’s Arts section, a petulant questioning of Garrow’s scholarship: “His Martin Luther King Biography Was a Classic. His Latest King Piece Is Causing a Furor — David Garrow found F.B.I. documents alleging King stood by during a rape. But some scholars question whether to trust records created as part of a smear campaign.”

There is a 4 word question I’m considering having as a litmus test for whether I want a person I meet to be my friend or not; if they say they aren’t, they can stay, if they say they are, they have to go. What are those 4 words you ask? They are: ‘Are you a feminist?’ Because I’m not a feminist, and I’m proud of it! Yes, I’m a woman who believes in ‘equal rights’, of course, ‘equality’, ‘equal pay’, etc. I’m just not rabid about it. And since I’m actually educated and not simply emotional, I know it’s already the law, and all I have to do is to ensure that my employer or community enforces it.

Much like unions and affirmative action, ‘feminism’ or ‘first wave feminism’ to be exact, had its value and its place. Those fighting for the right for women to vote, the right to own property, etc., were taking on a righteous cause, and have my respect, though I have to wonder if giving women the right to vote is a good thing sometimes, when I see them behave, (and I’m only half joking here) but still, it was right and good. What has happened, however, is that the ‘feminism’ movement has morphed into something altogether different, and in its current manifestation, from its man-hatred to its radical abortion position, obscene.
