Chief Justice Roberts Has a Message For Those Trying to Sway the Bench's Decision-making

Leah Barkoukis Leah Barkoukis May 06, 2022

Speaking Thursday at the 11th Circuit Judicial Conference meeting in Atlanta, Chief Justice John Roberts called the leak of the court’s opinion “absolutely appalling” but said it will not affect the bench’s decision-making.

“A leak of this sort — let’s assume that’s what it is — is absolutely appalling, and if the people behind it, or person behind it, thinks that it’s going to have an effect on our decision process, that’s absolutely foolish,” Roberts said. “We will go about doing our work as we would in any event, regardless of the leak.”............On Thursday, Roberts shared another part about the leak that upset him.

“The thing that upsets me quite a bit, though, is that it might give the wrong impression about our workforce,” he said. “The people who work at the Supreme Court are extremely dedicated to the institution, and in fact to the rule of law,” Roberts said, adding that extends from “from the guy who empties the wastebasket at night to the most tenured justice on the court.”........To Read More, and you may wish to read the Comments.

My Take - There's something seriously wrong with that man.  There's no problem with the staff.  Really?  And there's no problem with the judges either, everyone is dedicated and forthright.  Right?

Well, I disagree.  His judgement on a great many things is questionable.

Here's the link to my whole file, which outline what I think presents a problem with this delusional judge.  All of which brings me to this "Good Question", posted on by John Hinderaker:

Is the FBI going to raid the house of the Politico reporter who published the Alito opinion? Or is that just reserved for reporters who get Ashley Biden's diary?

Was leaking the draft opinion to Politico a crime? I don’t know. But one thing we can say for sure is that the identity of the leaker is a subject of far greater concern than the identity of the proprietor of Libs of TikTok. I’m sure the Washington Post will get right on it.

Trump DOJ Obtained Data on Schiff and Swalwell, Two Long-Time Champions of Domestic Spying

The two California Democrats join the long list of politicians who enable spying on ordinary citizens, then angrily object when they themselves are targeted.

    Glenn Greenwald Jun 11, 2021

The Trump Justice Department in 2017 and early 2018 issued subpoenas to Apple to obtain the communications records of at least two Democratic members of the House Intelligence Committee, Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA). According to The New York Times, DOJ prosecutors attempting to determine who leaked classified information to the media about Russiagate suspected the two House Democrats were the culprits, and to prove that, they obtained their communications records as well as those of family members, including minor children.

A DOJ leak investigation aimed at sitting members of Congress is highly unusual. Both the Obama and Trump administrations, in a hunt for leakers, created controversy by obtaining the communications records of journalists, including — in the case of the Obama DOJ — the family members of those journalists. But investigating members of the House Intelligence Committee for leaking crimes — as opposed to corruption or other standard criminal charges — can present different dangers. Neither Congressman was charged with any crimes and the investigation reportedly bore no fruit.

The two House Democrats, among the most fanatical disseminators of baseless Russiagate conspiracies and long known to serve as anonymous sources of leaks to liberal media outlets, reacted with predictable outrage. “This baseless investigation, while now closed, is yet another example of Trump's corrupt weaponization of justice,” Schiff intoned on Thursday night. As difficult as it is, Swalwell, as he often does, found a way to be even more melodramatic than Schiff: “Like many of the world’s most despicable dictators, former President Trump showed an utter disdain for our democracy and the rule of law.”.........To Read More...

National Intelligence to stop in-person briefings to Congress because of leaks

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence has informed Congress it will stop providing in-person briefings on election security and foreign interference, moving instead to written updates.

Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe told Congress of the changes saying he believes written briefings will help “ensure, to the maximum extent possible, that ODNI provides the Congress in support in your oversight responsibilities on election security, foreign malign influence an election interference is not misunderstood nor politicized,” in a letter obtained by CBS News and CNN.

“It will also better protect our sources and methods and most sensitive intelligence from additional unauthorized disclosures or misuse,” Ratcliffe wrote President Donald Trump on Saturday suggested that Ratcliffe “got tired” of information leaking from his briefings.  “Director Ratcliffe brought information into the committee and the information leaked,” Trump said. “So, he wants to do it in a different form because you have leakers on the committee...........To Read More....

NSA Leaker Identified, Arrested After Trump Administration Crackdown

By Andrew West June 5, 2017

The presidency of Donald Trump will go down in history as the dawn of the era of the leak, but that doesn’t mean the President will stand by and allow it to happen. Even before the businessman-turned-politician was elected to the highest office in the land, there was a bevy of classified information floating around the politi-sphere.  At that time, in late 2016, much of what we were seeing were internal campaign emails from the Hillary Clinton campaign, damning in nature, that paved the way for her eventual downfall at the hand of Trump.  Now, however, with The Donald lording over the Oval Office, the leaks that we are witnessing are coming from deep within the federal government; a much more dire situation than what Parkinson’s Disease medicine Huma Abedin was to research for her boss Hillary.

Luckily for America, President Donald Trump is not standing idly by on any subject, let alone on treasonous acts such as this........To Read More....

Could The Leaks Be Flowing From U.S. Intelligence Agencies?

By Andrew West May 30, 2017

The election and presidency of Donald Trump will go down in history as the first in the era of the leak As Trump and democratic foe Hillary Clinton were in a neck-and-neck battle around the electoral map in late 2016, something earthshaking occurred.

The seismic ripple of the Wikileaks disclosures from within the Hillary Clinton campaign shattered any hope that the former First Lady had in taking a true run at the White House, cementing her reputation as a career criminal long before her army of supposed female “locked in” votes could even Google where their polling place was.

Now, the infamy of those leaks aside, President Trump is suffering from yet another round of damaging revelations, this time targeting his administration and, somehow, keeping alive the democratic conspiracy theory surrounding his own campaign for the Oval Office and Vladimir Putin’s Kremlin.

The source of these leaks has been frantically sought the by President, who is reportedly eyeing a massive, sweeping shakeup up his entire staff. Now, new reports suggest that, much like that classic horror movie scene, the calls could be coming from inside the house.......To Read More....

Deep State: Its long list of leaks

By Monica Showalter May 29, 2017 This Appeared @ American Thinker

The indefatigable Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit has done a yeoman's job of cataloguing all of the Deep State's leaks to the press, providing an invaluable record of the extent to which the Deep State and the minions of the press have teamed up to undermine the administration of President Trump.

It shows the extent of the lawbreaking – many of these acts did violate the law – and the tightly intertwined relationship between the press and its leakers. It's also a useful tool, given its spreadsheet style of presentation. In laying out the violations end on end, it's possible to see patterns in these anonymous leakings and thus identify the perpetrators, who are too cowardly to come out and be named.

It's also a standing rebuke to those who claim there is no such thing as the Deep State and who downplay the barrage of leaks that have plagued the Trump administration, making President Trump's task all but undoable. For documenting history alone, the list has value. It's a great strikeback. With firings reportedly in the works, let's hope Hoft's list unmasks more leakers.
