Senate Democrats Gear Up for a Whistleblower War Against Trump

Chuck Schumer invites government employees to anonymously tattle on the administration.

Once Donald Trump was declared the winner of the 2024 presidential election, the politicized “lawfare” that had been waged against him for the previous few years quickly trailed off. But the 45th and now 47th president’s opponents were hardly going to give up. All they needed was a different approach, and they think they might have found it. Senate Democrats have created a new page on their official website to which a federal government employee can submit what they call a whistleblower complaint. The stated purpose of this is to “hold the [Trump] administration accountable.”

The so-called whistleblower portal encourages federal employees to report retaliation, wasteful spending, fraud, criminal activity, and “other.” Considering what Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is uncovering, it does appear somewhat ironic.

It is not yet clear what the Democrats plan to do with these complaints. Submit criminal referrals to the Trump Department of Justice, perhaps? Do some “judge shopping” and file lawsuits – maybe. Since they don’t have a majority in the upper chamber, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Co. cannot direct committees to investigate these complaints or convene hearings to take whistleblower testimony.

It’s worth considering that the real endgame is amassing evidence of a host of dastardly dealings for the underpinnings of articles of impeachment against Trump.

On Feb. 10, Schumer posted a link to the portal on X, proclaiming, “Today, I’m calling on our brave public servants: I’m launching a new portal for anyone who wants to expose corruption, abuses of power, and threats to public safety with the legal protections of being a whistleblower.”

The Convenience of a Whistleblower Claim

There are laws that protect government (and private sector) whistleblowers – even though the Joe Biden administration mostly seemed to show scant regard for them. These individuals are, in theory, shielded from retaliatory action and their identities cannot be revealed except in specific circumstances. Thus, Senate Democrats could stack up an ever-growing vault of allegations of all kinds of nefarious goings-on within the Trump administration – and cite whistleblower protections to avoid having to publicly validate any of the claims.

If nothing else, it’s a potentially lucrative fundraising tool, and that may indeed be its main purpose: bombarding the names on Democrats’ mailing lists with horror stories of what Orange Man Bad and his unelected “shadow president,” Elon Musk, are doing – all backed up by anonymous whistleblower claims.

Meanwhile, DOGE continues to peel the federal bureaucracy onion, revealing a truly staggering level of waste and fraud. The numbers seem to surprise even Musk. According to the live tracker on the Department of Government Efficiency website, the “DOGE clock,” the agency has so far saved more than 36.7 billion taxpayer dollars – though this bears a disclaimer that the numbers are not yet official.

Somehow, it appears to have escaped the attention of Senator Schumer and his colleagues that one of the reasons the American people returned Trump to the White House was his determination to expose and end government inefficiency and curtail the power of the Deep State – to “drain the swamp,” as he has long promised.

With their new whistleblower page, Senate Democrats have decided to enlist the Deep State to tattle on the administration’s every move. They could have conceded that the bureaucrats behind the scenes have been lavishing vast amounts of money on things no one ever voted for, and, it appears, no one was overseeing. They had a golden opportunity to repair, to an extent, their damaged image by throwing up their hands in horror at the waste and claiming they were not aware of the scale of the problem.

Instead, Mr. Schumer and his colleagues have chosen to resist any effort to expose and eliminate the staggering misappropriations. The whistleblower portal is a definite signal – as if any were needed – that they have chosen to stand with the Deep State and protect the wasteful and very possibly fraudulent activities of government bureaucrats.

DOGE and The Democrat Party: When You Sow the Wind, You Reap the Whirlwind, Part VI

The left is in total meltdown over the staggering abuses being exposed by Trump's DOGE team led by Elon Musk, and they want it stopped, but they won't, and they have no one to blame but themselves.

Failing is what they do best in the Trump era. Even now, in desperation, they are showing themselves as buffoons, crass ideologues and stupid politicians, three circles of intellectually challenged cretins who would make for an interesting Venn diagram. ..........The last thing they want is for you to know how the financing game is played and how they have colluded to deceive you since Obama was first elected to office.......... I don’t think Democrats can come up with enough cloud cover to hide the sunlight.......

Where in the world do they find people like this. Rep. Hoyle says when the budget comes up for a vote in March, the Democrats will shut down the government to prevent funding Trump's agenda, as it undermines the "American people"!  Really, what American people is she referencing?  Are they the corrupt bureaucrats?  Or perhaps it's the corrupt politicians? 

Actually, I agree, shutting down the government is a good idea, but she won't like to outcome.   Shutting down the government will just make it easier to get rid of thousands of unneeded bureaucrats, and continue to expose them as "buffoons, crass ideologues, stupid politicians, ][and] intellectually challenged cretins". 

To justify her outrage she claims Elon Musk bought the election, and their big argument is no one voted for Musk.  Well no one voted for Musk because he wasn't on the ballot, so of course no one voted for him.  However, they did vote for the man who hired him, Donald Trump.  Do you really think they believe Musk is the shadow president?  If they believe that, they must be nuts.   She claims Trump has no intentions of lowering prices...."in the short term".  What about the long term?  

As for those prices she's so worried about, one has to ask: Whose responsible for those prices?  The man who's been in office for less than thirty days or the man who left office after four years of staggering incompetence and corruption? 

Let's see if I got this right.  She thinks saving the taxpayers trillions of dollars and eliminating tens of thousands of unneeded bureaucrats, reducing insane insane regulations, and potentially reducing the budget by a possible two trillion dollars is bad for the economy?  Did I get that right?  Did I miss something in her logic, or is her rant as insane, irrational, and as stupid as I think it is?  What's really scary is wondering who her constituents are, and that she may be the brightest pebble in that brook, except she's from Oregon, and there are darn few bright pebbles in that brook.

She's claiming the Trump administration's attack on a stunningly corrupt, bloated, and destructive bureaucracy isn't doing anything to address prices, or the nation's economy, it's just "retribution".   If this is retribution, then based on what DOGE has exposed in just a few days firmly proves we need more of it.  

She claims House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is their leader and they'll do whatever he wants them to do.  Well, Stalinists will always be Stalinists, but if they're going to do whatever he wants, I think we need to ask: What does he want, and what solution is he offering?  

Jeffries wants to launch a “Rapid Response Task Force and "Litigation Working Group” to “protect and defend "everyday Americans" from the harm being inflicted by this administration.”............“House Democrats are committed to driving down high costs of living for everyday Americans,”......... “We recognize that there are far too many people in this country struggling to live paycheck to paycheck… We will continue to solve problems for hardworking American taxpayers. "  Really?  When did that concern for the economics of "everyday Americans" start? 

As for the harm, I have to ask exactly what harm is he talking about?  Why didn't he outline a bullet point presentation showing the terrible harm they want to prevent?  He didn't because he can't.  It's the same old rhetorical leftist play book strategy: All hat and no cattle!  

But perhaps I'm being unfair and I'm misjudging him, so, let's take a look.

 

1. Perhaps he's concerned that education in America is a very expensive failure.  No, that's a Democrat initiative.   
2. How about the fact FEMA Spent $59 Million on Housing Illegal Immigrants in NYC Hotels?  No, that's a Democrat solution. 
3. How about his views on immigration issues where in a public park a woman replaced American flag with the Mexican flag and then threatened the police.  No, that's a Democrat priority.
4. Then there's the Idaho National Guard which now has a formal policy to keep Christians out of command roles.  No, I think that's a Democrat mental disorder.
   
5. Or perhaps he's really upset at a judiciary that would throw a sick 78 year old woman into prison for her pr0-life positions and mock Christianity.  No, for the Democrat party those are sacred tenets of their leftist secular atheistic pseudo-pagan religion.
   
6. Then of course there's the issue of Ford losing $5.1 billion on electric vehicles in 2024!  No the Democrats were directly responsible for that.

   How about Chelsea Clinton receiving $84 million in taxpayer funding?  No, that's another corrupt Democrat scheme. 
   
8. Perhaps it's the evidence that Obama may have committed treason that disturbs him? Now, perhaps we're on to something, since  that's not a Democrat scheme, it's DOGE exposing any treason or corruption to which the Democrat party may be guilty, and I can understand why he'd be concerned about that. 
   

The Democrat party a reality Gong Show, except all the insane actors are in Congress, and the party is an insane asylum being run by lunatics.  

Watching all of the Democrat’s behavior now, how can anyone honestly believe that they are anything but mentally unhinged? .........Democrats always resort to tantrums and theatrics.

It appears Jeffries' claims that Trump is causing economic disaster for the American people are a bit hard to prove, and the reason why is that claim is totally unfounded, and the Democrat claim that Trump is screwing up is confirmation Trump needs to double down on his efforts.  

The left is like Satan, constantly changing itself into an angel of light.  All those high costs and fragile economic issues emanate directly from Democrat party rule, with a little help from their friends, the RINO's.   Whether it's racism, economics, environment, or any issue they embrace it's all emotional showmanship in order to fool the public in order to get and hold power allowing they and their allies to enrich themselves at the expense of "everyday Americans", who they've been robbing for decades.  

It's been the greatest heist of all time, and if Trump can finish what he's started the "everyday American people", who the Democrats claim they're so worried about, will finally learn what has really been going on and nothing will be the same again. 

Ya just can't make this stuff up, and ya can't fix stupid.  But one thing must be clear to the most casual observer, the left is in serious need of mental health help.
