Flight Attendants for Islamic Airline Hijackers

By Daniel Greenfield @ Sultan Knish Blog

Karen Martin was the first of the flight attendants to be attacked by Islamic terrorists on September 11. While the head flight attendant on American Airlines Flight 11 lay bleeding after being stabbed, the rest of her team, Betty Ong and Amy Sweeney, remained collected and provided the first reports about the hijacking. By the time the 9/11 attacks were over, 25 flight attendants would be among the nearly 3,000 killed by Arab Muslim terrorists.

Airline passengers however recently noted the shocking images of some flight attendants wearing PLO pins. Islamic terrorists claiming to represent the cause of the Arab Muslim colonists in Israel who called themselves ‘Palestinians’ had innovated the practice of the mass hijacking of airplanes. There was a direct line between the Dawson’s Field hijacking of four airplanes in 1970 and the hijacking of four airplanes by Al Qaeda on September 11.

In 1970, a plane headed to New York City was hijacked by a terrorist holding a gun to a flight attendant’s head. While an Israeli steward helped end a hijacking attempt on one of the planes, the captured terrorists were traded in exchange for the hostages. And one of the terrorists, Leila Khaled, would go on to become a popular figure in the campus anti-Israel movement.

Flight attendants supporting Islamic terrorists would seem to be suicidal, but they’re not alone.

The Association of Flight Attendants CWA recently announced that it had joined other radical unions in bailing out Hamas by calling for an end to Israeli attacks on the Islamic terrorist group.

The AFA-CWA has taken to trying to ‘organize’ Delta workers into joining its radical union and has championed the wearing of PLO flag pins as a sign of what it can do for flight attendants..

When Delta reacted by banning any pins other than the American flag, an AFA-CWA video furiously blasted the airline for taking a stand for America and against support for terrorists.

The video claimed that opposing terrorist flag pins was “racist” and urged flight attendants to join the union which would protect them from “harassment” by passengers opposed to terrorism.

Other flight attendants wearing terrorist flag pins were seen on Spirit and JetBlue: whose flight attendants are represented by AFA-CWA. JetBlue was accused of “blatant antisemitism” after calling the police on a Jewish passenger after he objected to a terrorist flag pin.

The AFA-CWA may be ‘ground zero’ for the explosion of terrorist flag pins on planes.

Sara Nelson, the president of AFA CWA, had previously weaponized the union for partisan attacks, but this is the first time a union of flight attendants is working to help terrorists.

Some of the same Islamic terrorists who butchered flight attendants on September 11.

Hamas, which the AFA CWA is trying to save as part of the so-called National Labor Network for Ceasefire (NLNC), is an arm of the Muslim Brotherhood. As was Al Qaeda whose core emerged out of a splinter group of the Muslim Brotherhood. Osama bin Laden had been a member of the Brotherhood. Intervening to save Hamas in Gaza is the same thing as saving Al Qaeda.

The AFA-CWA press release described President Sara Nelson as a “a consistent social justice supporter” and claimed that the union was trying to stop Israel’s attacks on Hamas because “aviation’s first responders bring people together around the world. Saving lives comes first.”

As Americans found out on September 11, saving lives in the air requires fighting terrorists, not surrendering to them. The AFA-CWA’s attempt to save terrorists will only cost more lives.

Including those of flight attendants.

Unlike the Association of Professional Flight Attendants, which is an independent union that represents American Airlines flight attendants and maintains a memorial to the heroic flight attendants killed on 9/11, the AFA-CWA is an extremist organization linked to the far left.

While the AFA part stands for the Association of Flight Attendants, the CWA part means that the union is actually a subset of the Communications Workers of America. The CWA had already issued its own demand that Israel stop attacking Hamas. As has the AFL-CIO that the CWA is affiliated with. Rather than representing flight attendants, the AFA-CWA is part of a larger leftist political machine whose roots are not in the workplace, but in the government-union complex.

AFA-CWA President Sara Nelson, who was being considered for a ‘labor’ cabinet position in the Biden administration, has done quite well at the expense of actual labor. Records show that while the average flight attendant earns less than $70,000, Nelson made nearly $180,000.

Nelson is married to fellow union honcho, David Borer, who is the general counsel for the American Federation of Government Employees. Borer’s salary has been estimated at $290,000. Together this ‘union household’ pulls down nearly half a million dollars a year.

That may explain how Sara Nelson and David Borer’, whose unions are both under the AFL-CIO umbrella, can afford to live in Chevy Chase, an extremely wealthy D.C. area neighborhood where the elite reside and other political government operatives make their home.

Nelson is an ally of Sen. Bernie Sanders who has repeatedly attacked Israel for defending itself. And like Sanders, Nelson has learned to live quite well while shouting about class warfare.

The AFA CWA’s efforts to save Islamic terrorists, who murder flight attendants, show that the union no longer represents flight attendants or Americans, but a class of radical activists who hate America and support its enemies. And they want to fly the colors of those enemies.

Flight attendants, like all of us, have a choice. We can be like Betty Ong and Amy Sweeney who resisted the Islamic terrorists on September 11, or like Sara Nelson who defends them.

On September 11, Arab Muslim had to hijack planes to fly them into buildings. But now there are radical flight attendants who don’t even need to be hijacked to support airline hijackers.

Ladies and Gentlemen, and Those Who Think They May Be!

“ …” Delta Airlines Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Social Impact Officer Keyra Lynn Johnson, wants “ladies and gentlemen” to be dropped in departure gate announcements.

Delta would not be the only airline to spend too much time on foolish nonsense. Maybe Delta should focus on its core business rather than trying to mutilate accepted basic greetings that work for 99.9 percent of the public. For example, in July there a was major computer glitch that caused more than 5,000 global flight cancellations on ONE day. It was a nightmare for the traveling public and airline employees. Three days later, much of the travel world was back to normal except for Delta Air Lines!

To share your thoughts with Delta’s CEO Ed Bastian: Email: ed.bastian@delta.com Phone: 404-715-2600 Write: 1030 Delta Blvd, Atlanta, Georgia, 30354

However, if Delta and other woke airlines want to change their gate announcements, we have six suggestions:

  1. “Attention ladies, gentlemen and those suffering from mental illness ...”
  2. “Attention ladies and gentlemen, and ladies who think they are gentlemen, and gentlemen who think they are ladies …”
  3. “Attention folks who cannot fit into an airline seat …”
  4. “Attention passengers who think their YUGE suitcase will fit in the overhead compartment …”
  5. “Attention passengers with personal hygiene issues who have specifically chosen a middle seat to annoy two strangers ...”
  6. “Attention passengers wearing a T-shirt with a message that will annoy progressives …”

There just can't be any end of, or limit of to wokeness you know.  So we hope this will be taken seriously by the entire travel world.  After all, catering to the crazy, stupid, and dysfunctional losers of the world is moral obligation of the sane, intelligent, and hard workers of the world. Don't you think?

Nah, that's just a bit of snark there.

Wealthy and Woke

Apparently to rant about “privilege” means the less you need to worry about your own.

Ed Bastian makes $17 million a year as chief executive officer of Delta Airlines, Georgia’s largest employer.

Bastian just blasted Georgia’s new voting law. He thinks it is racist to require the same sort of ID to vote that Delta requires for its passengers to check-in.

Yet most Americans believe voting is a more sacred act than flying Delta and, moreover, may have noticed that Delta has all sorts of partnerships with a systemically racist China. So polls show Americans approve of voter IDs.

Bastian fears the woke mob more than the majority of Georgia residents who support the law. Apparently, his theory is that the greater numbers of average folks won’t threaten his multimillion-dollar perch as much as fewer but more powerful left-wing elites.

The most privileged CEOs of corporate America—those who sell us everything from soft drinks and sneakers, to professional sports and social media—now jabber to America about its racism, sexism, and assorted sins.

The rules of cynical CEO censure are transparent.

First, the corporation never harangues unless it feels it has more to lose—whether by boycotts, protests, or bad publicity—than it stands to gain in staying neutral and silent.

Second, class concerns are never mentioned. Bastian is paid about $65,000 for each working day of the year. In a sane world, he might seem a ridiculous voice of the oppressed.

Third, CEOs never fear offending the conservative silent majority, who are assumed not to boycott or protest.

The woke revolution is not a grassroots movement. It is powered by a well-connected and guilt-ridden elite. Yet the religion of Wokeness assumes these high priests deserve exemptions. Their wealth, credentials, contacts, and power ensure none are ever subject to the consequences of their own sermons.

Multimillion-dollar NBA stars blast America’s “systemic racism.” They utter not a word about Chinese communist reeducation camps, the destruction of Tibetan culture, or the strangulation of Hong Kong’s democracy.

Such stars’ salaries are geared to coaxing a huge Chinese market. Their domestic endorsements hinge on a younger, woke American clientele. Defending the professional sports lifestyles of rich and famous stars apparently requires loud penance by blasting an unfair America.

Take almost any woke hotspot and a growing class divide is clear.

Academia? Tenured administrators and university presidents pulling down seven-figure salaries are far more likely to virtue signal their universities’ “racism” than are untenured, poorly paid, and part-time lecturers. It is easier for a college president to blather about his own “unearned privilege” than to support the rights of exploited part-time faculty—much less resign to give someone else a spot.

The woke media? Its clergy are elite network newsreaders, not so much reporters on the beat.

The military? The retired and current military who lecture us on the evils of Trump or promise to ferret out “insurrectionists” among the ranks are mostly generals and admirals—and some retired top-brass multimillionaires.

We don’t hear privates, corporals, sergeants, and majors pushing through subsidies for transgendered surgeries or petitions to garrison a quiet Washington with barbed wire and national guardsmen.

The richest in America—the families who own and operate Amazon, Apple, Bloomberg, Facebook, Google, and Microsoft—are the most likely to voice their derision for its unwoke lower- and middle-classes.

Ditto the multimillionaires of politics—an Al Gore, Dianne Feinstein, John Kerry, or Nancy Pelosi.

The richest celebrity billionaires such as Jay-Z, George Lucas, Paul McCartney, or Oprah Winfrey weigh in a lot about the oppression of a supposedly rigged system they mastered, rarely about the plight of the less-well paid in their own professions.

So wokeness is medieval. Sin is not given up as much as atoned for—and excused—through loud confessionals.

Self-righteous elites rant about carbon footprints, needless border security, defunding the police, gun control, and charter schools. But they rarely forgo their own private jets, third and fourth homes, estate walls, armed security guards, and prep schools. Apparently to rant about “privilege” means the less you need to worry about your own.

Wokeness is an insurance policy. The louder the damnation of American culture, the more likely a career will be saved or enhanced.

Wokeness is classist and elitist. Those who made or inherited a fortune, got the right degree at the right place, made CEO or four-star rank, live in the right ZIP code, or know the good people, believe they have earned the right to decide what is moral for their inferiors.

So some of them have created an entire vocabulary of deplorables, irredeemables, clingers, dregs, chumps, and Neanderthals—for the peasants and “losers” who must do what they are told.

Wokeness is not really about fairness for minorities, the oppressed, and the poor, past or present. It is mostly a self-confessional cult of anointed bullies, and hypocrites of all races and genders, who seek to flex, and increase, their own privilege and power. Period.
