Maybe It’s Time for Conservatives to Sit for the National Anthem
Colin Kaepernick says he’ll “continue to stand with the people that are being oppressed” by not standing for the National Anthem. He has every right to do what he wants as well as suffer the public relations’ fallout. No one should be forced to Pledge Allegiance to anyone or anything or sing the National Anthem. “When there’s significant change and I feel like that flag represents what it’s supposed to represent, this country is representing people the way that it’s supposed to, I’ll stand,” Kaepernick said............By the way, Kaepernick was raised by white parents and is a multi-millionaire. He’s no Jackie Robinson. (See the films The Jackie Robinson Story, where Robison plays himself, and 42.)
A great deal of injustice is deep and wide in the African American community, and very little is the result of racial injustice. Blacks are killing other blacks at record rates. For example, more than 400 people have been shot in Chicago in August, 90 of them murders and “more than 2,300 shootings . . . so far this year.” (Source) These were not done by the police.
Black-on-black crime should be publicly scrutinized and given as much wide media attention as a police shooting........Maybe it’s time for God-fearing Americans to take a seat, bow our heads, and call on God to save us from the madness and immorality that have infected our nation.........To Read More....
