Magical Moron Moments: Burn Your Feet with Tony Robbins

Tony Robbins is a motivational speaker and self-help guru who believes in “magic moments.” His biggest magic moment is convincing people to hand over nearly $3,000 for the honor of listening to him speak and walking over a pit of burning coals. That last part often isn’t as magical as planned, however.

Last week in Dallas, at one of Robbins’ “Unleash the Power Within” seminars, 30 people had to be treated for burns to their feet, five of whom were taken to the hospital. And this isn’t the first time that people got burned at one of Robbins’ firewalking events. Back in 2012, some attendees received second- and third-degree burns.

To be fair, lots of people have gone firewalking without any problems. So, why do some people walk (or limp) away with blisters? According to low-information people — such as those who pay $3,000 to listen to Tony Robbins — it’s because they weren’t in the proper mindset. It’s about mind over matter. My Take - The reality we should take away from this- and other stupid events such as the New Age guru James Arthur Ray who got people to pay $10,000 to sit in a way over heated indian sweat lodge to.....well....I'm not exactly sure what it accomplishes....except  out of the "fifty-five people who followed Ray into the sweat lodge; three died from overheating and 19 others were hospitalized after they collapsed, vomited, had trouble breathing, hallucinated, foamed at the mouth or fell unconscious." 

The real concern to take away is this almost religious need for an "enlightened guru" to guide our thoughts and actions. Gurus who are flawed human beings with no real moral foundation who make up their own rules for their own benefit. Does anyone really beleive these "self improvement" con artists are doing this for the benefit of humanity? Does anyone really believe these "self imporvement" con artists would do all this for free.

Is it any wonder Jim Jones could convince his followers to commit suicide and kill their children?

When society abandons those values and moral foundations that made them great they will fall for anything. That's what's happened in America, and why Obama has a 50% approval rating and only 49% of the population believe Hillary lied about Benghazi. We've lost our minds!

At the recent New York City LGBT Pride parade, marchers carried a rainbow flag imprinted with black letters, “Republican Hate Kills!” That same day, Islamist Turkey dispersed an attempt at a gay pride parade in Istanbul with tear gas and rubber bullets. Turkish cops in gas masks wearing black converged on a few hundred protesters, seized their rainbow flags and detained a number of prominent figures.

The week before that, a Trans Pride parade in Istanbul had been shut down the same way. What would black celebrities like Jesse Williams and Al Sharpton do without their grievances against white people?  Well, they’d actually have to start telling blacks to take personal responsibility for their lives instead of blaming “the system built to divide and impoverish and destroy us.”  My first reaction to the rich, black actor Jesse Williams’ acceptance speech for his Humanitarian Award at the BET Awards was a massive eye-roll. Sadly, Williams decided to riff on the same, old, hackneyed “black LIES” that racist cops are killing blacks en masse.

Ticking off the tragic deaths of Tamir Rice, Sandra Bland and Eric Garner, Williams declared that it isn’t “better to live in 2012 than it is to live in 1612 or 1712” because today’s racist police officers are akin to slave masters indiscriminately killing blacks. Williams continued in his screed against White America, declaring that blacks aren’t really “free.”

Why did Loretta Lynch hold secret meeting with Bill Clinton on plane in Phoenix?

Former President Bill Clinton spoke with Attorney General Loretta Lynch during an impromptu meeting in Phoenix, but Lynch said the discussion did not involve the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email use as secretary of state.  Lynch told reporters that the meeting at a Phoenix airport on Monday was unplanned and happened while the former president was waiting to depart and walked over to the attorney general’s plane after she landed there.

Lynch was traveling with her husband and said her conversation with the former president “was a great deal about his grandchildren” and their travels. The former president, who recently became a grandfather for the second time, told her he had been playing golf in Arizona and they discussed former Attorney General Janet Reno, whom they both know.  “There was no discussion of any matter pending for the department or any matter pending for any other body. The Same Old Sheep Dung

"The same old sheep dung” hits the nail on the head.  Now that the wolves are here and learning to prosper in these 21^st century “settled landscapes”, we will have a summer camp where we can all sing around a campfire and begin to “just get along” as Rodney King once pleaded as they arrested him yet again for dangerous driving while intoxicated. 

 

“Policy-driven” “discussions” = the final layer of approval and acceptance by government and their “elite” partners for the “general public” about was forcibly imposed on Rural America is similar to a German propaganda “Summit” in 1940’s Poland about the benefits of German culture and governance.

 

As much as I agree with the concerns of ZZZ, expecting any sort of real concern (other than faux eyebrow furrowing) about such matters from the folks that will congregate at such meetings (like migrating  shorebirds piling up while  waiting for a favorable wind on some oceanic point of land before embarking on a long passage over water) is like expecting Planned Parenthood to sponsor a “Summit” to discuss Margaret Sanger’s life and philosophies: neither will occur because neither serves the agendas of the established powers. 

 

This is NOT because of:

• the self-interest of bureaucrats that wolves provide;
• the money and political support that wolves create for radicals and radical causes; 
• the “scientific” concerns about hybrids and real wolves, etc.;
• any intention by the elites from the UN and politicians to state sycophants and environmental top dogs (pardon the pun) to change anything.

 

I say this because wolves are a tool (and a wide-spreading and very effective one at that) for so many other agendas from reducing and eliminating:

• livestock husbandry;
• animal ownership like dogs;
• hunting;
• trapping;
• rural communities and Local governments and the economies that sustain them;
• rural “Tranquility” for children, the elderly and ultimately the family that is the backbone of not only communities like Rural America but of the nation and the cultures, traditions and very identity of free men in a Constitutional Republic.

When examined in the context of:

• an increasingly powerful central government;
• disappearing state governments;
• lie after lie about wolf impacts on domestic and wild animals, wolf numbers, wolf densities and future expectations from wolves;
• central government control of private property and all human endeavors;
• steady central government purchase and easement of Rural American private property with tax dollars;
• the total disappearance of government “transparency” about government perfidy from anti-2^nd Amendment campaigns by politicians sworn to uphold it and disparate and discriminatory law “enforcement” for immigrants and racial groups to the parade of scandals like Fast and Furious

Benghazi, e-mail manipulations by public officials, Presidential Foundations as a blind for corrupt payoffs; IRS record destruction of evidence in government crime, etc.:when examined in this context – expecting honesty or even a minimal amount of concern at such a “Summit” about what is concerning the millions forced to live with these government-wolves (and government-grizzly bears) is like being concerned about Foreign Affairs and Defense policies, and going to a Quaker Meeting to find answers.  The only answers you will find there and here in a “Summit” like this is “tolerate it”, “endure it” and “hope it will go away someday”.

 

What is needed are men that run to the sound of the guns in this very real battle.  The negotiators are the ones that always get us into these messes.

 

Illegal War and Disguised Truth

The 800-plus-page report of the House Select Committee on Benghazi was released earlier this week. It slams former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for her willful indifference to her obligation to repel military-style attacks on American interests and personnel at the U.S. Consulate and a nearby CIA annex in Benghazi, Libya. She particularly failed to save the lives of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three of his colleagues, all under her care and control while she was secretary of state.

The report also slams Clinton for her repeated lies about the cause of the attacks. After she told her daughter in an email that the Benghazi consulate had been attacked by an organized terrorist group using heavy military hardware, she told her colleagues at the State Department that the attacks were a spontaneous overreaction by locals to an American-made internet video about the Prophet Muhammad.

After telling that lie, she sent another email, this one to the Egyptian foreign minister, repeating what she had truthfully told her daughter.

The Obama administration then spread the “internet video-inspired” myth by dispatching Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N., to repeat it to five Sunday morning American television talk shows. This was met with profound disbelief in the diplomatic and intelligence communities. Yet, still unwilling to acknowledge the truth publicly, Clinton then retold the myth to the families of the four dead Americans in the presence of their loved ones’ bodies as the bodies were being reverently removed from a U.S. transfer plane at Joint Base Andrews.

What does all this say about the character of Clinton? How cold and heartless is she? How can she expect voters to reward her with the presidency when she failed to lift a finger to save Americans and then she repeatedly lied in public about her failures — while being truthful about them in private?

Yet the committee’s report is incomplete and has aroused dissent from some Republican members of the committee. The essence of their dissent is that the unstated and unacknowledged but true mission of the committee was not to reveal facts but to conceal them. There is ample evidence to support their argument that Benghazi was the unintended consequence of Clinton’s private war against Libyan strongman Col. Moammar Gadhafi.

My Take - Okay....so what exactly is wrong with the minds of the other 51% of the nation? In the next post we see 10% of the Republicans saying they like Hillary, and "the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Obama's job performance. Forty-nine percent (49%) disapprove (see trends)." Is it possible in an age with so much information available to virtually everyone the general public knows so little?  The answer is clearly yes - ignorance is running rampant in the nation.  Is it any wonder these so-called reality shows are so popular?  Hollywood understands how do make a show dumb enough for public consumption.

White House Watch: Trump 43%, Clinton 39%

The tables have turned in this week’s White House Watch. After trailing Hillary Clinton by five points for the prior two weeks, Donald Trump has now taken a four-point lead.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Trump with 43% of the vote, while Clinton earns 39%. Twelve percent (12%) still like another candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Last week at this time, it was Clinton 44%, Trump 39%. This is Trump’s highest level of support in Rasmussen Reports’ matchups with Clinton since last October. His support has been hovering around the 40% mark since April, but it remains to be seen whether he’s just having a good week or this actually represents a real move forward among voters.

Trump now earns 75% support among his fellow Republicans and picks up 14% of the Democratic vote. Seventy-six percent (76%) of Democrats like Clinton, as do 10% of GOP voters. Both candidates face a sizable number of potential defections because of unhappiness with them in their own parties....To Read More.....

Fox targeted by FEC Dems in first-ever vote to punish debate sponsorship

Finally making good on long-harbored anger at conservative media, Democrats on the Federal Election Commission voted in secret to punish Fox News' sponsorship of a Republican presidential debate, using an obscure law to charge the network with helping those on stage. It is the first time in history that members of the FEC voted to punish a media outlet's debate sponsorship, and it follows several years of Democratic threats against conservative media and websites like the Drudge Report.

The punishment, however, was blocked by all three Republicans on the commission, resulting in a 3-3 tie vote and no action. A Republican FEC commissioner leading that fight, Lee E. Goodman, revealed the vote to Secrets Wednesday and said the official report of the May 26 executive vote will be released Thursday.......To Read More.....

Dem AG backs down in Exxon climate fight

A group of Democratic attorneys general have suffered another blow in their bid to find oil-giant Exxon Mobil guilty of fraud in a highly-politicized climate change investigation.  A court document issued Wednesday evening says Claude Walker, attorney general of the U.S. Virgin Islands, has agreed to withdraw his subpoena demanding documents and emails from the oil company related to its discussion of the risks posed by climate change.   Walker is part of a group of 17 state attorneys general who said they would use their prosecutorial powers as law enforcement officials to go after those that have sought to cover up the evidence of climate change that is placing the public at risk.......This is the second time Walker was forced to withdraw a subpoena in the climate fight. Walker had gone after the free-market Competitive Enterprise Institute a few months ago for its ties to the oil company. Trump unloads on former GOP opponents who refuse to back him

Donald Trump railed against several of his Republican primary opponents on Wednesday night for declining to endorse him in the general election, going so far as to suggest "they should never be allowed to run for public office again. I have guys out there and if you really think about it, they're really sore losers," Trump told supporters during a campaign rally in Bangor, Maine.  Trump was referring to at least seven GOP presidential hopefuls who signed a loyalty pledge to support their party's presidential nominee and have since declined to do so. Excess health problems in 'gays,' lesbians, bisexuals

Gay, lesbian and bisexual individuals reported more health problems than straight men and women, in a large U.S. survey.  For the first time since its launch in 1957, the National Health Interview Survey in 2013 and 2014 included a question about sexual orientation.  With nearly 69,000 participants, the survey revealed that lesbian, gay and bisexual adults “were more likely to report impaired physical and mental health, heavy alcohol consumption, and heavy cigarette use, potentially due to the stressors that (they) experience as a result of interpersonal and structural discrimination,” researchers wrote online June 28 in JAMA Internal Medicine.......

Federal court orders schools to end anti-Christian bias

Awards $150,000 in case called 'major victory'

It’s being hailed as good news in the unfolding battle for religious freedom: A Christian ministry has won its three-year legal struggle against an Ohio school district accused of discriminating against the faith-based group.  The Child Evangelism Fellowship of Ohio won the legal battle against the Cleveland Metropolitan School District as a federal district court approved a Consent Order finding that the school district violated CEF’s constitutional rights to equal access. The court is requiring Cleveland Metro Schools to change its facility-use policies, and ordering it to pay $150,000 in damages and attorney’s fees.
 

The Child Evangelism Fellowship, or CEF, filed suit in 2013 with the backing of Liberty Counsel, seeking equal access to CMSD’s public school facilities for CEF’s after-school, Christian character education Good News Clubs.  Liberty Counsel announced the court ruling as a “major victory for equal access” on its website.  The school district was providing free after-school access to non-religious community groups, such as the Boy Scouts, but refused to treat CEF equally. Instead, the school district imposed facility fees which CEF could not pay, resulting in the shutdown of the Good News Club.  Read the entire consent order handed down by the court. .....

College drops suspension of Young Republicans

'They looked for something they could find to prevent us from bringing Milo back'

The College Republicans at University of California Irvine are claiming victory, following the reversal of a decision by administrators to suspend them for a year. “It’s a huge victory for freedom of speech and assembly, and I think this move proves that there is bias to political ideologies in this administration,” said Ariana Rowlands, President of the UCI College Republicans.

The disciplinary action was imposed after a June 2nd event hosting the controversial right wing speaker Milo Yiannopoulos. He visited the students as part of his “Dangerous Faggot Tour.” The administration based the action on a contractual insurance violation at the event. However, the University changed course following a social media firestorm and national petition supporting the students. First administrators temporarily lifted the ban pending an appeal, and now have permanently lifted the suspension and cancelled the appeals process........The College Republicans deny being aware of the infraction, and they point out that administrators didn’t notify them until 18 days after the event.

“It’s very clear that after I met with them and after I told them Milo is coming back, that they went through everything they had and looked for something they could find to prevent us from bringing Milo back and prevent us from exercising our rights,” said Rowlands. The furor of ignored Europeans against their union is not just directed against rich and powerful government elites per se, or against the flood of mostly young male migrants from the war-torn Middle East. One of life's enduring mysteries is why the left -- against overwhelming evidence to the contrary -- insists on more taxation, more government spending and more government control over the private sector. Europe's socialism has, over the last several decades, generated few private sector jobs and lags in growth when compared to the United States with its comparatively lighter hand of government.

From Life Saver to Life Taker: The Making of an Abortionist

It’s not the career of which they dreamed.  Can you imagine your fourth grader raising his hand in class and proclaiming, “I want to be an abortionist when I grow up?”  That has never happened.
Yet somehow they end up there.  Men and women who themselves started out as unborn children with amazing potential end up destroying life at its most vulnerable stages.

Dr. John Bruchalski, who is now a pro-life activist, describes how his heart became increasingly hardened and calloused to the reality of what he was doing. I saw this first hand in college when I volunteered to pray weekly at a local abortion clinic.  The abortionist could always be seen hunched over, non-responsive, barely alert, almost numb from the effects of the many abortions he performed.......Dr. Bruchalski describes his life at that time as schizophrenic; in one room, doctors were trying to save a baby at the same gestational age as the one next door – being aborted......pro-choicers lament this fact and are working hard for a day when “doctors will feel proud to proclaim: ‘I am an abortionist.’”  It’ll never happen........To Read More....

My Take -  I do wish everyone would stop using the terms pro-life and pro-choice. It's anti-abortion and pro-abortion. Clarity can only be developed through definition. It was convenient for the left to claim so-called pro-life people were hypocrites because so many of them are conservatives who support the death penalty. The reality is this - so-called pro-life advocates are in reality anti-abortion advocates who recognize the difference between murdering an innocent unborn child and executing a convicted criminal.

Abortion is the murder of innocents!

Execution is a just punishment for criminals!

The left constantly throws up the potential - and factual - execution of some found guilty who were innocent. While true - that number is meaningless compared to the millions of unborn children who've been murdered by abortionists and the proponents of abortion. Abortion is murder and society must bear the responsibility for this crime against God and humanity.
