Today’s journalists are often little more than left-wing thugs

One of the more interesting things about 2021 is seeing which well-known left-wing people are true civil libertarians – that is, they actually believe in the Constitution, although they still have a very different vision for America than conservatives do. The two most surprising ones (for me, at least) are Naomi Wolf and Glenn Greenwald. Both of them have been staunch leftists from the get-go, but both are deeply concerned by the constitutional breakdowns we’re seeing in America.That’s why, if you’re going to read one article today that isn’t already on American Thinker’s site, I recommend Glenn Greenwald’s look at how major media companies aggressively target ordinary people.

 

To the extent media types thought of themselves as knights on white horses, they used to see their role as attacking the powerful while protecting and defending the little guy. Indeed, as old Hollywood movies showed to the point of cliche, journalists came from the “little guy,” blue collar class

 

 Old-time reporters were scrappy, working-class men and women who used their bully pulpit to inveigh against wealth and power. They were patriots, but they felt that their job was to keep a gimlet eye on the government to ensure that the Constitution and laws of the United States applied to all.

 

Today, journalists are graduates of pricey schools. They’re not scrappy, working-class people. Instead, they’re whiny, entitled, privileged, and anti-American. They believe that their bully pulpit is to be used to advance a neo-socialist ideology that puts their rarefied, college-educated middle class cohorts in charge of America for the good of all the little black and brown people and the punishment of all those blue collar white people who still think they’re entitled to a piece of the American pie. 

 

Glenn Greenwald has written an epic and scathing take down of these spoiled, vindictive leftist journalists. He makes an important point, which is that they routinely attack ordinary people who don’t align with their political views, and then, when those ordinary people fight back, these journalism school graduates use that same bully pulpit to play the victim card..........To Read More.....

When the journalists come out and tell you what their worldview is, there should be no argument that these people who report the news, also used their positions to push an ideological worldview.  You know that John Dewey is the father of progressive education.  Well “The Great One” a.k.a. Mark Levin in his recent book UnFreedom of the Press, also points out that Dewey is the father of modern journalism if not ONE of them.  Thanks to Dewey, he helped created a modern-day press that thinks it exists to make the make the world “better” regardless if we like what the remedies are or not.  More often than not these remedies advance bigger government, higher taxes, challenging God and his Holy Law, challenging the autonomy of the traditional family if not attempting to destroy it completely and replacing the family unit with a supernanny state, a decline in common sense morality, and making certain forms of Murder legal…regardless if its sold as a right to choose/woman’s autonomy or death with dignity.

The likes of Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, Sam Donaldson, eventually admitted to your face that they are liberal if not leftists.  The cable news outlets these days admit their bias and/or have it right up on display for everyone to see and hear.  Before Saul Alinsky wrote his Rules For Radicals, Dewey called for liberalism to become more radical.  The left is so passionate in making its changes, for they must prove they not only need God and his Law, but they can become God, and declare themselves to be Good without God.  The old school journalists were no different in the worldview of leftist progressivism/humanism.  With few exceptions, humanism and leftist progressivism are really one in the same. ............To Read More.....

These Days, It's Conservatives Doing Real Journalism

Donald Trump is like alcohol; he has a way of revealing peoples’ true feelings.

And like that coworker at the holiday office party who finally tells everyone what he thinks of them, America’s mainstream media establishment has clearly had a few too many.

For decades, members of the media masqueraded as practitioners of objectivity, supposedly uninterested in politics or policy. But the truth always comes out, and when they could no longer conceal their bias we were assured that it was possible to pick sides privately while remaining objective professionally. Now, in the age of Orange Man Bad, everything is upside down and any semblance of objectivity is considered unethical, an accessory to the “crimes” of the current administration.............Even longtime CNN host Larry King has admitted the news is broken, chastising his former network and bemoaning the media’s obsession with bringing down Trump. Former CBS Foreign Correspondent Lara Logan echoed King’s comments, albeit a bit more forcefully, earlier this year.

When the likes of King and Logan are sounding the warnings, you know things have gotten out of hand.

Luckily, however, a different type of “resistance” has found a foothold in America’s media landscape. While the mainstream press and pundits were busy handling public relations for the Democratic Party, right-leaning writers and outlets stepped in to perform the critical functions abandoned by their liberal peers. Only Propaganda Is 'Good Journalism'?

Why are liberals in so much denial about liberal bias in the news? Why do they think they're bending over backward to be "objective" doing that which Republicans see as partisan activism?  Daniel Froomkin of the Huffington Post — formerly of The Washington Post — suggests an answer. He is exactly the kind of liberal agitator in the newsroom who wants every news story to be a blazing editorial. Every reporter must divide the world clearly between Liberal Sense and Conservative Nonsense. His latest article is titled, "Writing a Neutral Story About Something So Heartless As the Food Stamp Vote Is Not Good Journalism."

On Sept. 19, The New York Times reported, "The Republican-led House yesterday voted to make deep cuts to the food stamps program that has kept millions of American families from going hungry since the recession hit, saying its response to growing need was instead a sign of bloat and abuse."  In short, Democrats keep families from starving.
