Black on White Murder, and the Democrats Don't Care

By Robin Itzler

Editor's Note:    This is a commentary from Robin's weekly newsletter Patriot Neighbors.  Any cartoons will have been added by me.   If you wish to get the full edition, E-mail her at PatriotNeighbors@yahoo.com to get on her list, it's free. RK

Had a white man brutally murdered a young black woman on the Charlotte, North Carolina light rail system, there would be “mostly peaceful” rioting throughout the country.

You know it. We know it. Everyone knows it.

Instead, the August 22nd murder of 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska was ignored by the left.  Former North Carolina Governor and the likely Senate Democrat candidate Roy Cooper FINALLY made a comment about the August 22 murder on September 9.

Do you think Democrat Cooper would have waited this long to make a comment had the murderer been white and the victim had been black? As governor, in 2020 Cooper created “Task Force for Racial Equity and Criminal Justice.”

What did this insane group advocate:

Bail reform, decriminalizing homelessness, expansion of pre-trial release programs.

There is a video of Cooper bragging about these reforms.  The reforms that murdered Iryna Zarutska.

P&D Today, and The World as I See It!

History is Everything, and Everything is to be Questioned.

Today's Edition has seven commentaries, one by me, Charlie Kirk and the Despicables, and six other commentaries.

Now, For The World As I See It!

There's been a lot of articles covering the Kirk and Zarutska murders, and .... lets' try and get his right once... just once, please.... the left is totally responsible for those murders, and this violence will continue to grow.  The Republican gubernatorial candidate was verbally and physically attacked for having the audacity to support Charlie Kirk, since any deviation from the leftist narrative of the moment is anathema, and deserves the fiercest possible rebuke.  Right?

The Left's Narrative on Charlie Kirk Imploded Over the Weekend...and They're Crashing Out -  It’s still mind-boggling that the Left ate this up: Charlie Kirk’s assassin suspect, Tyler Robinsin, was really a conservative, a Kirk supporter, and was such a die-hard that he shot him. That’s what they went with for about 24-36 hours. And it all imploded over the weekend. ...........

Image

For those who don't know the Oxford Union is a world renowned debate society tied into Oxford University but not part of Oxford University.  The newly elected President of the Oxford Union, seen to the right, celebrated Charlie Kirk’s death, and won't be expelled.

But, it gets better.   When you look into this what we find is this kid's grades would never have qualified him to be an Oxford student, except for one thing; he's DEI acceptable.  He's not white, and clearly not too bright. Another good reason to abandon such insanity.  Tell me, does he inspire confidence in you?

"Since the scandal has unfolded, it has emerged that Abaraonye did not get school grades typically required to gain a place at Oxford University. This means he is almost certainly the beneficiary of a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) scheme intended to get more ethnic minorities into the prestigious institution."

The assassination of Charlie Kirk has demonstrated who and what the Democrat party really is, and it's not a pretty sight, and this assassination has finally triggered an all out war on these far left NGOs who've been sowing chaos nationwide.

The Trump administration is finally getting serious about radical left groups, including dark-money, billionaire-funded NGOs that openly call for the destruction of capitalism and the Western world. These groups, together with rogue far-left politicians, spread dangerous rhetoric amplified by globalist corporate media outlets......

James A. George in his article, America staring into the abyss, finds he's:

.........unable to even come close to understanding the level of hatred, vitriol, bile, and inhumanity being spewed all over every available online outlet — X, TikTok, etc. — in classrooms and on campuses and in the streets by the mindless priests and priestesses of bottomless hate, of such intensity that it seems at times like the robotic party apparatchiks in Orwell’s Two Minutes Hate.

And there's a simple explanation for that.  He's sane.  But this was as predictable as night follows day.  It's all in history books, it's all been done before, people have short memories, and don't like confrontation or controversy.  That's the job of either the insane left, or the courageous right who are willing to stand against the raging currents of leftist evil.

"How do we explain the monsters who celebrate Charlie Kirk’s murder?"

Well, one of the explanations falls to America's system of public and higher education must be reformed.... massively... as these "educators" aren't education the nation's children, they're indoctrinating them with the insanity of leftism as they're embracing socialism, globalism, and authoritarianism.  Murder over ideology isn't a far next step after that.

America's judiciary is completely out of control, as they're complicit in how the nation is  overrun by lawfare, interfering beyond their jurisdiction in preventing law enforcement from doing their jobs.  Forbidding the President of the United States from exercising his Article II rights under the Constitution to appoint and fire all administrative officials of the United States, by forbidding him from firing Lisa Cook, who is clearly guilty of mortgage fraud, and will most likely end up in jail.   And it just keeps getting better. Biden Judge Jia Cobb Blocks President Trump From Firing Embattled Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook – Her Sorority Sister!

Among the many destructive political hacks of the federal judiciary, Judge Indira Talwani stands out demanding the federal government fund the murder of the innocent unborn, all of which is bringing what's being called Biden’s fraudulent autopen signature over pardons.

But it also brings into question as to who really nominated some of these far left jurists who are being so destructive.   But Biden can't be blamed for Justice Sonia Sotomayor.  It appears someone just noticed she sounds more like and activists than a judge. Imagine that!

Voter fraud will still be a factor in the upcoming elections and this disease has metastasized through out America, and some are quite open about it like Jocelyn Benson who's pushing new rules to make cheating easier.  And guess what....she's a Democrat.  I'm shocked, shocked I tell you.  In Florida leftist officials were caught adding over 100,000 ineligible voters, back into voter rolls.  Will someone go to jail over that?  It's certainly illegal.....isn't it?

It’s Democrats Or America, It Can’t Be Both

and the Social Circles Promoting That Behavior

Charlie Kirk and the Despicables

By Rich Kozlovich

Do you remember when Hillary Clinton called conservatives, Christians, and traditional Americans "deplorables", and then was shocked and outraged when they didn't vote for her?  Well, the Democrat party goes beyond "deplorable" and is easily defined as "despicably evil"!

There are no boundaries on the left, and no tolerance for opposing views, even if it's from one of their own.  Outrage expressed by one insane Wokester on X or some other web site can destroy a leftist’s career.  We've seen time and again the consequences of all this outpouring of violence inducing rhetoric Democrat politicians and their myrmidons in the media has spewed out over the last decade, and now this past week the left is directly responsible for two despicable murders, Charlie Kirk and Iryna Zarutska.

The left is like rust, it never sleeps, always changing and twisting in an effort to make their evil seem normal, and as the evidence of leftist promoting violence become more clear as the left does with it does best; blame someone else in order to hide and mask their complicity in the consequences of their promotion of evil.  In this case Donald Trump, Republicans in general, Christians, traditional Jews and conservatives calling they, and those like Charlie Kirk divisive, polarizing, lightening rods, claiming that's the reason they're getting murdered, and many on the left claiming they deserve to die, as was expressed on this college campus.

But it's not working so well this time, the nation has seen and heard enough.   No rational competent person could possibly subscribe to such insanity, the fact is they’re just evil, and are being seen as such.

The right “appears” to be more conservative because the left keeps getting more and more openly radical, so even if conservatives are merely standing still they automatically appear more conservative and moving more to the right.  The hateful demagoguery and divisiveness isn't coming from the right, it's all being generated by the left in their efforts to destroy the moral and structural foundations of America.

Clarity can only be achieved through definition, which Stephan Helgesen does very well in his article, The Rise of the Unprincipled Left, saying:

Let’s start with traditional conservatives.  By traditional, I am referring to a set of values that have transcended many generations.  Some of them are love of country, respect for authority and the rule of law, trust in our institutions, belief in personal accountability, fidelity to our Constitution and Bill of Rights, trust in our courts (and juries) to fairly adjudicate the cases before them and mete out appropriate punishment to the guilty, confidence in our schools and teachers to educate our children passionately but objectively, respect for our military service members and law enforcement organizations for the dangerous jobs they do, and many more, not the least of which are found in the Christian Ten Commandments.

In the past, those core values have been the touchstone we would go to when we were wrestling with a thorny question.  Would our opinion track with our basic values?  In short, could we look at ourselves in the mirror and say, “Yes, that is my belief, and I will defend it because I am a principled person”?

Now for the left!

The left’s world is dominated by, as I’ve stated, a belief in situational dependency coupled with might makes right.  Leftists eschew actual democracy and fear free speech.  They see the forced imposition of their cultural views as a holy crusade, and if anyone dares question that crusade’s legitimacy, he is summarily banned, doxxed, de-platformed, ostracized from polite society, vilified, and fired from his job — or accused of being a white supremacists, misogynist, homophobe, right-wing extremist, or domestic terrorist.  Leftists have no qualms about offering up the names of the “opposition” to the media and to municipal, state, or federal authorities for later prosecution or persecution.

And entirely too many of them actually believe murder is an acceptable approach to deal with anyone who disagrees with them, and that mentality is being promoted by academia.  The left is unprincipled, period!  It is now, it has always been, and it will always be unprincipled because principles require a stable moral foundation, a touchstone for what we do, what we think and what we work to bring into being.

The only morality of the left is a morality of the moment.  A morality that can and will shift as the need arises.  They are the “ultimate carpetbaggers — unscrupulous opportunists who would betray anyone and anything to feather their own nests”.  And that means do anything to take and hold power over the masses, no matter who has to be sacrificed, and since the French Revolution they’ve sacrificed over millions of people.  The American left was able to hide who and what they are better in the past. No longer.

Their claims of “defending our democracy” is a clever rhetorical ruse since they clearly hate “our Republic”.  Their "democracy" is more like the, "Democratic People's Republic of Korea", as they unendingly work to undermine and ultimately eliminate and destroy the foundation for American freedoms, the very foundation of America’s Democratic Republic.  The Constitution.

We saw that during the false covid pandemic where societies went along with these ridiculous mandates, much of which was imposed by unelected bureaucrats.  These sheep then turned on those who saw these mandates for what they were and refused to bend the knee to this power grab, dehumanizing them and smugly, arrogantly and self righteously approved of granting unconstitutional powers to police which allowed them to abuse the unmasked and unvaccinated.

This wasn’t accidental.  It was deliberate, it was unconstitutional, “it was planned” and it was implemented to impose tyranny on America.  It’s time we get that’s part of “the plan”.  It’s time for those who see these things for what they are to have the courage to stand and be counted, no matter how many slings and arrows are flung in their direction.

Below is a list of 57 comments made by these "despicables"!  But by no means does this list represent the full measure of how contemptible the left is.

  1. Secret Service Agent Who Said Kirk Got What He Deserved Is Now on LeaveMy Take - This agent hated Charlie Kirk spewing out lies about him and hates Donald Trump, and was quite public about it.   How could this man be in that job?  How could the Secret Service's leadership not know all this?   It's clear the Secret Service is still rife with people who need to be purged from the ranks, and I'm a firm believer that purge needs to start at the highest levels.   RK

Two Tragic Deaths, And Some Useful Lessons

@ Manhattan Contrarian 91 Comments

It’s been a very sad few weeks, first with the tragic and senseless murder of Iryna Zarutska on a train in North Carolina on August 22, and now with the assassination of Charlie Kirk in Utah on September 10. These two killings have suddenly focused the attention of a lot of previously complacent people, and provided some very useful education about the kind of world we live in. But what are the lessons to take away?

One possible lesson is that the world is just irretrievably filled with anger and hate, to the extent that the best that sensible people can do is withdraw into their bunker, keep out of blue states and away from people who follow leftist and woke ideology, stick to a limited circle of family and friends, and avoid dealing with the broader world to the maximum extent possible.

I do not subscribe to that approach. Yes, there is a lot of anger and hate in the world, but also an equal or greater amount of goodness and beauty. And the thing that makes life worthwhile is participating in the fray, and trying to improve things. So here I am living in Manhattan, deep behind the enemy’s political lines, posting my contrarian positions publicly and participating in various ways, however fruitless in the short term, to move the political needle here at least a little. Hey, it’s fun.

Is this dangerous? Maybe a little, but not in any way that I can immediately perceive. I’ve certainly never received any death threats, or really any threats. Maybe that’s because I haven’t been particularly effective.

Charlie Kirk took the business of confronting the left on their own turf to a new level all his own. In his case it was clearly risky, as he was well aware. He went to the places that the left thought were their sacred sanctuaries, college campuses, and organized thousands to resist indoctrination in the official religion. He was the ultimate heretic against a powerful religious cult. He faced constant threats and physical confrontation, but he kept at it as a happy warrior. It took great courage to do what he did.

Should Kirk have stayed away from the fray in order to avoid the fate of an assassin’s bullet? I strongly suspect that if he had known that an assassin was out for his scalp, it would not have slowed him down. He understood that important undertakings come with risks. We need more like Charlie Kirk who are willing to take big risks and refuse to be silenced. (I’m not meaning to suggest that Kirk is the only one who has had the courage to soldier on in the face of the left’s hate and cancel culture and lawfare. Many have done so, and have paid with their jobs or their life savings or their freedom. Kirk is unusual in having been killed.)

But how about the case of Ms. Zarutska, killed by a violent and psychotic career criminal on a public transit facility. With nearly all large cities in this country under the control of Democratic administrations that are explicitly lenient in treatment of recidivist criminals, surely Ms. Zarutska’s case teaches that it is best to avoid public transit facilities in big cities entirely if at all possible.

That conclusion might seem obvious to almost the entire readership here, but again I am going to disagree.

First, let me establish my bona fides. I have lived in Manhattan since 1975, over 50 years, and in that time have taken our subway an average of about 15 times per week, or a total of between 30,000 and 40,000 times over that period. And I have never experienced an incident where I felt I was at risk.

But, you ask, aren’t there large numbers of potentially dangerous and psychotic people roaming the subway system? Absolutely. I would estimate that on average I observe a potential dangerous person on average once or twice a week. So why haven’t I felt at risk? Is it just luck?

There may be some luck involved, but much more important is observing a few simple rules:

  • Always be aware of your surroundings. Yes you can read a newspaper or look at your phone, but you must not fail to keep track of who is around you.
  • The people who are dangerous, in my experience, always broadcast their danger in obvious ways. Often they are agitated, fidgety, walking up and down energetically, lying across several seats, talking to themselves or even shouting. They present themselves in ways that overtly signal hostility, which could include facial expression, hair style, tattoos, clothing, lack of clothing, or other such things.
  • Your first mission in situational awareness is to spot any of these people who are near you. And then — you promptly put as much space between them and you as possible. Subway stations are plenty big enough to do this. If you are on a platform, you can put a couple of hundred feet between yourself and such a person in a fraction of a minute. If you are in a train car, go to the next car. You do not need to be conspicuous or obvious about this. Just quietly get it done. Then go back to reading your book. But always keep half an eye out to see if that person, or another such, gets near.
  • If the person of concern is particularly aggressive, once you have gotten far enough away, you can call 911. I have only done this very rarely.

If you follow these simple prescriptions, I do not think you are at any more danger on the subway than on the street. I cannot guarantee that you will be at zero risk on the subway, but remember that there are dangerous and psychotic people on the street as well. And by the way, you should also follow my rules when walking on the street.

If you look at the video and stills of Ms. Zarutska on the Charlotte train, you will see that she violated all of my rules. Here is a link to a New York Post article with many pictures. Ms. Zarutska walks into the train car and appears not to notice Mr. Brown. Brown is very obviously a person of concern: he is fidgiting regularly; his facial expression is dubious to say the least; he has dreadlocks half way down to his waist; and he is wearing a hoodie that is pulled up over his head even though it is a warm August night. He is very clearly signaling to the world to be wary. She should promptly and inconspicuously put some distance between herself and this guy.

But instead, she sits down right next to him, with him in back of her where she can’t see him. And she proceeds to bury her head in scrolling her phone. And she is also wearing ear pods, so she can’t hear him either.

Here is a photo from the Post from just before the fatal stabbing:

 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/503a5bade4b0b543ed240317/d24666f4-780f-4c07-885c-e8acca3dd217/Screenshot+2025-09-12+at+9.09.39%E2%80%AFPM.png?format=2500w

Nicole Gelinas of the Manhattan Institute wrote a piece for City Journal on September 10 taking the opposite position from me on what Ms. Zarutska should have done:

She has no reason to avoid this young black man, Brown, 34, dressed in a hoodie, who, as she sits down, appears to be struggling to stay awake (he has been muttering and making jerky movements in the moments before she gets on the train). . . . Even if she had looked behind her, or saw the man in her window’s reflection, she has no reason to fear him; he might appear fidgety, but lots of people fidget on the train. Zarutska scrolls through her phone, at one point nearly dropping it. . . . Nothing out of the ordinary is going on here.

All I can say is, I doubt that Ms. Gelinas is a regular subway rider. She is just wrong in this instance. Brown gave at least four clues that he was trouble (the fidgiting, the facial expression, the dreadlocks, and the hoodie).

I am not meaning to suggest that Ms. Zarutska bears even the slightest blame here. But this incident can provide a valuable lesson for the rest of us on how to conduct ourselves in a dangerous world. Definitely, the City of Charlotte and its courts and prosecutors bear substantial blame for not keeping this obvious menace in custody in light of his long record of prior violent acts. But even much stricter bail and incarceration policies than were followed here are never going to remove all dangerous people from the streets and the trains. You need a modest degree of wariness to survive in this crazy world.

So is there any reason to ever use the subway, or for that matter to ever come to New York City? Both provide a great opportunity to observe the range of humanity — the good, the bad and the ugly. If you stay cloistered among “your kind,” you’ll end up with a very warped view of what the world is about. And if you come to New York and refuse to get on the subway, you could find many places inconvenient and expensive to get to, and you’ll miss out on half the reason you had for coming.

Magistrate Teresa Stokes Must Be Removed and Decarlos Brown Needs to Die

You won't believe Stokes' conflict of interest

By Susan Daniels September 10, 2024, @ Susan's Newsletter

Editor's Note:  There are pictures in this article I can't reproduce. In order to see them please go to the original post. RK

Everyone has by now seen the horrible video of mentally ill Decarlos Brown, Jr. stabbing Iryna Zarutska, 23, to death while black metro riders did nothing to help her.

Democrats deny the murder was racially inspired, despite Brown, who is black, being seen with blood dripping off his knife and saying: “I got that white bitch.”

Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy said:

"This monster had a track record longer than a CVS receipt, including prison time for robbery with a dangerous weapon, breaking and entering, and larceny. By failing to punish him properly, Charlotte failed Iryna Zarutska and North Carolinians."

North Carolina Republicans learned that Magistrate Teresa Stokes presided over a previous case with Decarlos Brown just months before he murdered Zarutska and released him on a promise that he would return to court. No judge in North Carolina will be able to set him free again, like he has been fourteen times, because the federal government has stepped in.

Jeff Childers in his Substack C&C said:

“The single federal charge of causing a death on mass transportation is itself death penalty eligible, which means Decarlos Brown, Jr., could soon ride a completely different kind of rail. US Attorney General Pam Bondi promised that prosecutors will seek the maximum criminal sentence, stressing that Brown ‘will never again see the light of day as a free man.’

He added:

“Republicans demanded the firing of Mecklenberg Magistrate Teresa Stokes, the most recent judge to inflict Brown back onto the Charlotte community, and who isn’t even a lawyer.”

Stokes, a DEI without a law license, was appointed to the position in April 2023 by Judge Carla Archie, who strongly favors diversity — with or without ability.

Stokes’ lesbian wife, Ayanna Ballard, is affiliated with Stokes’ court as a mental health and addiction support provider.

Laura Loomer posted:

“Teresa Ann Stokes and Ayanna Rosalyn Ballard applied for a marriage license in Ingham County, Michigan, in April of 2019,” Loomer said. “Teresa and Ayanna are a married couple that apparently enjoys working together. In 2021, they were working together at their halfway house fried chicken joint, Wing Heaven Sports Haven, in Lansing, Michigan, and they are both directors of Pinnacle Recovery Group, a nonprofit corporation in Lansing, Michigan.”

Pinnacle Recovery Group was revoked by the State of Michigan on 05-15-2020. Yet Stokes alleged she worked forty-hour weeks for the entire year of 2023 and was paid $69,062. (She started working as a magistrate in North Carolina in April 2023.)

Even more interesting is that Stokes, working as a magistrate in North Carolina as of April, 2023, is listed as Director of Operations for Second Chance Services.

Posted online

Magistrate Judge Teresa Stokes freed DeCarlos Brown Jr., a 14-time criminal who went on to butcher Iryna Zarutska. Stokes is also listed as the Director of Operations at Second Chance Services, a Charlotte clinic for mental health and addiction.

That is not just a side job. It is a built-in conflict of interest. The courts feed violent offenders into programs that people like Stokes help run.

The softer the judge, the fuller the clinic. It creates an incentive to release dangerous criminals back into the public because their failures become business. When the same judge who decides whether a career criminal stays in prison also profits from the industry of “rehabilitation,” justice no longer exists. It becomes a racket.

Ayanna Ballard, wife of Stokes, works for Second Chance Services and shares the company’s address.  Easy-on-crime former North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, who envisioned being elected to the Senate in 2026, needs to come up with another plan.
