Erdogan: Sweden Can’t Join NATO if Quran-Burning Is Allowed

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reaffirmed Wednesday that Turkey won’t allow Sweden to join the NATO military alliance as long as the Scandinavian country permits protests desecrating Islam’s holy book to take place.

Turkey, which had already been holding off approving Sweden and Finland’s membership in the Western military alliance, has been infuriated by a series of separate demonstrations in Stockholm. In one case a solitary anti-Islam activist burned the Quran outside the Turkish Embassy, while in an unconnected protest an effigy of Erdogan was hanged. Even before that, Ankara had been pressing Sweden and Finland to crack down on exiled members of Kurdish and other groups it sees as terrorists, and to allow arms sales to Turkey.

Turkey has indefinitely postponed a key meeting in Brussels that would have discussed the two Nordic countries’ NATO entry.  “Sweden, don’t even bother! Erdogan and the Ottoman Caliphate

The peninsula that is called Turkey today, was originally called Anatolia. For centuries before the Turkeyfication of Anatolia starting with the Sunni Muslim Seljuks, it was almost totally occupied by the Byzantine Christians from the Mediterranean to Armenia.

 

It is best to enlighten the readers with the background that leads to modern Turkey without which it would be impossible to understand the mind-set of the dictator of Turkey; Recep Tayyib Erdogan.

From their homeland in Central Asia (near the Aral Sea), under their leader Tughril Beg (990), the Seljuks first conquered Khorasan (mainland Persia) and then subjugated most of Anatolia from the Byzantine Empire in 1071.

The Seljuk Empire declined over the next two centuries until they were completely taken over by the Ottoman Turks by the Oghuz Turkish tribal leader Osman I (Othman/ Uthman; from which the name Ottoman is derived).

What we call the Turkish people since the 1920’s, are those descendants of the Muslim Ottoman Turkic tribes..........

As you are reading this article, there are 57 Muslim majority states comprising 1,500,000,000 Muslims that are among the most Dysfunctional, Totalitarian, Theocratic or Despotic in the world.
Although the Muslims represent 20% of current humanity, they have managed Only FOUR Nobel laureates (not including for Peace) while the Jews (0.2% of current humanity) have been able to garner Two Hundred and Four (not including for Peace); yet no one has the backbone and or the knowledge to explain such an incredible anomaly although the Common Denominator fills the room.

Erdogan's Setback Could Yet Tilt Turkey to U.S.

Turkish voters dealt the country's once-invincible president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a sharp slap in the face Saturday. America should use the moment to nudge Ankara, a NATO member and erstwhile stalwart of the Atlantic alliance, back into the Western fold.

An opposition mayoral contestant in Istanbul, Ekrem Imamoglu, handsomely beat Mr. Erdogan's favored candidate by a 9-point margin.
