Patriot Neighbors: We Have Lost Our Minds

America might not be at war with Iran, but Iran is at war with America .- Mike Pompeo Former Secretary of State, Trump administration

By Robin Itzler

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY? Thanks to Joe Biden and his socialist administration, down is up, bad is good, and wrong is right. Borders are protected in Ukraine but not Texas.

Good Samaritans in New York City are arrested for protecting strangers from attacks on subways while illegal aliens who beat up police officers on Manhattan streets are released without bail. Some Americans must work several jobs to pay their bills while illegal alien invaders in New York City are given monthly $1,000 debit cards. All while the leftist media insists the economy is doing great when we know from grocery shopping and/or layoffs that it’s the exact opposite for many Americans. We could go on and on with many more examples.

This is how nations succumb to tyrannical rule.

Joe Biden, his puppeteers, and the American people know that the president has the executive power and authority to close the border—TODAY! The reason the southern border remains wide open, even with Texas’ courageous efforts, is explained by Elon Musk in a recent X/Twitter tweet:

“Biden’s strategy is very simple. 1. Get as many illegals in the country as possible. 2. Legalize them to create a permanent majority—a one-party state. That is why they are encouraging so much illegal immigration. Simple, yet effective.”

America’s slide into chaos cannot continue indefinitely before our constitutional republic crumbles under the weight of lies and distortions. Or as some fear, a second civil war! Currently, we seem to be two nations under one flag. Donald Trump is President of the United Red Capitalist States of America while Joe Biden heads the United Socialist Blue States of America. How long can this continue?

GOING FORWARD, let’s call them ILLEGAL DEMOCRAT INVADERS!

Things are going to get interesting now. It’s one thing for Republican pundits to call out Joe Biden’s mental acuity issues, but quite another when a special counsel report does it. Especially when Special Counsel Robert Hur was picked by Joe Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate the materials found in Biden’s Delaware garage and elsewhere. The report describes Biden as a "well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory." And that’s why it was decided not to charge him. So, why is Joe Biden still sitting in the Oval Office? The answer is in two words: Kamala Harris and that America has two-tiers of justice. One for liberals and one for conservatives.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (X/Twitter):

“The President’s press conference this evening further confirmed on live television what the Special Counsel report outlined. He is not fit to be President.”

RINOs KEEP MAYORKAS

At least Ronna McDaniel should be resigning Every day there’s more reason for Republicans to switch to No Party Preference. Take the vote last Tuesday in the House to impeach the failing Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Three Republican representatives joined with Democrats and voted NO:

Ken Buck—Colorado Mike Gallagher—Wisconsin Tom McClintock—California Blake Moore of Utah changed his vote to no when leadership asked him to do that for procedural reasons, thus allowing a motion to reconsider the vote.

RINO Buck was part of Representative’s Matt Gaetz’s “Gang of Eight” that took down House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. He is not running for re-election and has expressed interest in being on cable news. You can guess which ones! (MSNBC? CNN?)

Don’t bother contacting Buck. He probably only wants to hear from Democrats. But you can reach out to McClintock and Gallagher, although Gallagher just announced he isn’t running for re-election. You’ll have to call since representatives only want emails from constituents.

Gallagher : 202-225-5665 McClintock: 202-225-2511 As to Ronna McDaniel resigning … she should have stepped down in early 2021 when she did next to nothing about presidential election fraud.

FULL-TIME JOBS ARE DISAPPEARING

It’s an election year and the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), like any good government agency, appears keen on keeping Democrats in power. That’s why job reports often APPEAR positive when a closer look says differently. The BLS knows much of the lapdog media will highlight the jobs number and not what is behind those numbers. Remember, if YOU lost a good-paying job with benefits and had to take THREE part-time jobs with no benefits, would YOU consider yourself gainfully employed?

Plus, at least one-third of “job gains” are government jobs or government financed, such as health care, social services, and education.

The BLS reported that in January 2024, the United States had 133.1 million full-time jobs and 27.9 million part-time jobs. However, one year before in February 2023, the United States had 133.2 million full-time jobs. That means, there are now FEWER full-time jobs in America! Robert Barone at Forbes explained it in Stephen Green’s article “Media Lies: Those January Job Gains Never Happened:”

"The workweek, itself, contracted to 34.1 hours from 34.3 in December and 34.4 in November. This is the lowest number since March 2020 (the pandemic) and, before that, November 2008 (Great Recession)."

"Rosenberg Research calculated that, despite the job gains, total hours worked actually contracted." In fact, the Household Survey — "the one the media ignores," as Barone put it — "showed up with a -31K headline jobs number, and a fall of -63K in full-time jobs." Worse, the labor participation rate remains down. Americans are working more part-time jobs because there are fewer full-time jobs to go around — a sizable fraction of last month's jobs went to people taking on a second or third job.”

Much of the job growth since February 2023 has been in part-time jobs!

PRIMARY: Confusion about when to vote.  Election Integrity Project California (EIPCa) says NOT to vote early. We’ve trusted this organization for 14+ years. Shouldn’t we continue to trust them? Look at the organizations (including county GOPs) that are telling you to vote as soon as you receive your ballot. From EIPCa:

"When you vote early you've given election manipulators the knowledge they need to inject just the right number of phantom ballots to counteract every early ballot. Denying them that knowledge puts the results of the election back into the hands of the voters. The best and safest vote is an in-person vote."

EIPCa, which has been fighting for election integrity for more than 14 years, states on its website: Vote in person with a hand-marked paper ballot, on or close to Election Day.

If you know people who can’t get to a voting center or are not “into” politics, talk to them about the importance of voting. If ballot harvesting is permitted in your state, offer to take their ballot to the ROV or to a voting center.

Due to issues that often appear at voting stations (planned???), especially in districts with many registered Republicans (planned???), consider voting with paper ballots a few days before Election Day. If that isn’t possible, seek a trusted person who will take your ballot to the ROV.

For Californians, we suggest that America First Patriots vote in person with paper ballots between February 28 and March 3. That provides ample time should there be issues at your voting center. We do NOT recommend waiting to vote until Election Day, March 5. That’s our opinion. Read and hear what others recommend and then make your own decision.

LAWN SIGNS: They work, especially in local elections. We are always touting that Patriots must be involved to save our country. Everyone can do something! An easy task you can do during the primary and general election is place signs on your house lawn or in your apartment window. Many neighbors won’t be swayed in state and national elections as much as they will be in local elections where they have little to no idea who to vote for.

In 2015, Columbia University Political Science Professor Donald Green found that political signs can make a difference between 1 and 2 percent in local elections. That is a lot when it comes to board of supervisors, city councils, county positions (i.e., commissioner), and school board elections. There are many instances where the winning candidate has won by less than five votes. The sign on YOUR front lawn or in your apartment window can make a difference! In “Campaign Signs Influence How We Vote More Than You Might Realize,” Scott Neuman shared:

What's primarily at stake when it comes to signs is name recognition — especially for many local races that don't generate a lot of attention, according to Cindy Kam, a professor at Vanderbilt University who leads the Research on Individuals, Politics & Society Lab. Kam co-authored a study in 2011 in which yard signs for a fictitious county council candidate — "Ben Griffin" — were planted on lawns on a well-trafficked street near a school. A survey was mailed out a few days later by the school's Parent Teacher Association asking respondents to list their choices for the county's at-large council seats. Five real candidates were listed along with the fictitious Ben Griffin and another made-up name.

Incredibly, nearly a quarter of respondents listed the fictional Ben Griffin among their top three picks.

Think how much a sign in your yard or window can influence others if neighbors see multiple signs promoting the same candidate or proposition.

HALEY: Loses to “None of These Candidates”

On the REPUBLICAN side, Nevada held a primary on Feb. 6 that had Nikki Haley on the ballot along with former presidential contenders Mike Pence and Senator Tim Scott. There were some other long-shot candidates and NONE OF THESE CANDIDATES. Donald Trump wasn’t on the primary ballot as he was running in the caucus that took place two days later. The caucus winner received the state’s 26 delegates, which Trump handily won.

But Haley is such a disaster that she LOST to “None of These Candidates” 63 percent to 31 percent. Can you imagine being such an awful candidate that when the choice is between you and None of these Candidates, you still lose?

Interestingly, Haley’s overwhelming defeat against “None of these Candidates” was officially announced on the same day the Orange County GOP hosted her at an event. But it kinda makes sense when you think about it. The clueless Haley speaking to clueless Never Trumpers at an event hosted by the clueless OCGOP.

On the DEMOCRAT side, the media gleefully reported that Joe Biden won the February 3 South Carolina Democrat primary with more than 95 percent of the vote. Sounds great, right? What the media didn’t report with the same gusto is that a meager 4 percent of Democrats bothered to vote for the old geezer. As Ben Bartee of PJ Media wrote on February 5: The corporate state knows well that its only hope of winning in 2024 is swapping its demented war horse out for a fresh, diverse alternative, or else going hog-wild with the vote-rigging, such that 2020 really will look in retrospect like the “most secure election of all time” as the constant refrain goes.

It’s not always the left-leaning media that fails to give us the full story. On February 8, The Epoch Times article “House Democrats Unfazed by Biden’s Low Approval, Plan Direct Appeal to Public,” Emel Akan wrote in a one-line paragraph that Biden won South Carolina with 96 percent of the primary vote. Akan did NOT mention that only 4 percent of South Carolina Democrats voted! Don’t you think the omission drastically alters the narrative about Biden’s “win?”

NOTE: Robin Itzler emailed Siyamak Khorrami, general manager and chief editor of the Southern California edition of The Epoch Times, about this omission.

MAGAs who lived through the chaos of the Bush vs Gore 2000 presidential election (hanging chads, anyone?) and 2020’s presidential election fraud, consider this:

What if Joe Biden, Donald Trump and RFK, Jr. are on all 50 ballots but none of them receive the necessary 270 electoral college votes to win the presidential election? There could be some instances where third-party candidates Marianne Williamson, Jill Stein or Cornel West influenced results. The presidential election would then be decided by the House of Representatives.

CALIF SENATE: Here’s what Silicon Valley Assoc. of Conservative Republicans Suggests In their February 7 email entitled, “Are We Being Duped by the UniParty? Steve Garvey vs Shifty Shiff,” the conservative organization wrote to its members:

Definition: UNIPARTY. Republicans and Democrats working together against the best interests of “We the People”.

Background: Certainly, you have heard about the Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party, Jeff DeWitt, caught on tape trying to bribe Kari Lake not to run for US Senate. If you haven’t heard the 6-minute conversation, you can listen to it. Some say it sounds more like a threat than just a bribe.

Ask yourself…who “Back East” would want to stop a strong conservative like Kari Lake from joining the US Senate?

We’ve been getting feedback from Republicans upset that SVACR recommended Eric Early for US Senate over better known baseball player Steve Garvey. “Didn’t we know that Garvey would have a better chance of winning?” Let us explain.

Just the facts!

  • A Republican cannot get elected to state-wide office in California at this time! The January 5, 2024, Voter Registration Report from the California Secretary of State: o Democrats: 46.76% o Republican: 24.16% o No Party Preference: 21.95% or Other: 7.14%
  • Shifty Schiff’s TV commercials attack Garvey as a Trumpster. Schiff wants to turn out the conservative vote for Steve Garvey so that the only candidate he will have to face in November is Steve Garvey. Schiff will easily beat Garvey in November without having to spend the money that a contest with Barbara Lee or Katie Porter would cost.
  • The California Republican Party is also pushing Steve Garvey. Ending up in the TOP 2 for November, Garvey will unwittingly give the “moderates” who control CAGOP many delegates and a better opportunity to stay in power. This is the point that would elude most Republicans because it is complicated to explain. And the moderates want to keep it that way!
  • The UNIPARTY wins!
  •  “We the People” lose.
  • SVACR will continue to recommend Eric Early for US Senate. You, of course, can vote for who you want. Just don’t be pawn of the UNIPARTY!

ARE WE NOW A SOCIALIST NATION?

Some recent events that make us wonder if the republic can be saved.

  •  CONNECTICUT—Brookfield High School Principal Marc Balanda is one angry dude. He has to keep spending school funds to replace the TAMPON DISPENSER IN THE BOY’S BATHROOM! As has happened at other schools, boys see the tampon dispenser as a sign of disrespect. And it is. So, they rip it off the wall or damage it beyond repair. Then the school must spend money (that should be used for EDUCATION) on buying/repairing a new tampon dispenser for the BOYS restroom. To share your thoughts with Principal Balanda whose pronouns are he/him:

GREAT BRITAIN—Everything on the British Isle is going so well that its elected officials are now worried about the gender of its dead citizens. Labor Party MP Charlotte Nichols stated that the Gender Recognition Act of 2004 should be amended so that a person’s gender can be changed posthumously. Nichols said it’s the result of a young boy who was murdered before he could transition.

Last year, the North Hertfordshire Museum in Great Britain changed the sex of third-century Roman emperor Elagabalus from male to female. In case you missed history class that day, Elagabalus had a short reign. The teenager was killed in 222 A.D. when HE was 18 years old in 222 A.D.

IS THE TIDE TURNING TO FREEDOM?

With our prayers and involvement, we must have hope of saving our republic. Let’s look at some recent wins that show the tide might be turning in the direction of Conservative Judeo-Christian values. However, we need Republican LEADERSHIP, which seems to be in short supply.

  • FLORIDA—Thanks to Governor Ron DeSantis and a Republican legislature leading the way on common sense, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles recently announced that residents must use their BIRTH gender on their driver’s license. If they go by identity, they will be guilty of fraud and subject to criminal penalties.
  • MARYLAND—In a unanimous vote, the Carroll County Board of Education made it policy that instructional and supplemental materials shall not contain sexually explicit content.
  • UTAH—Republican Governor Spencer Cox recently signed two common sense laws that were passed by the state’s Republican legislature:
  • H.B. 257—Requires transgender people to use a bathroom or changing room based on their birth gender, unless they’ve undergone the surgery to complete the transition OR changed their birth certificate. Although the bill doesn’t include penalties, a trans not following the law could risk charges of trespassing or lewdness.
  • H.B. 261—Reworks diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs at universities and colleges so they now become Student Success Centers (SSC). The key is that SSC will be open to ALL students regardless of their race, gender, or sexual orientation. Moreover, the new law bans trainings that promote any political ideologies.

CANADA—In 2022, when truckers organized a Freedom Convoy to protest the vaccine mandate, Ottawa officials invoked the Emergencies Act. The Act caused much personal and financial pain to many participants, especially the leadership. Canadian Federal Justice Richard Mosley recently ruled that it was “unreasonable” and violated Canadians’ Charter Rights. Many of the truckers were penalized by being de-banked, i.e., denied access to their bank accounts. Now that the truckers have been vindicated, some plan to sue the federal government and police forces that forced the successful protest to come to an immediate end.

QUESTION: What do these two films have in common?  The Wizard of Oz (1939) became an instant classic upon its release while It’s a Wonderful Life (1946) didn’t become a beloved classic until years later when it was shown on television during the Christmas season.

What do these two films have in common?

ANSWER:  Two classics being remade w/ “people of color”

Why can’t the supposed creative folks in Hollyweird come up with new films featuring whoever they want that will become classics on their own rather than remake beloved timeless films? Black-ish director Kenya Barris plans to reboot The Wizard of Oz and It’s a Wonderful Life because these two classics need people of color. Will the reboot also include all the other checkbox groups? How about remaking the 1934 classic It Happened One Night to tell how Democrats stole the 2020 presidential election in swing states?

Hmmm, how long before these classics are remade?

  1. Gone With the Wind (1939): Al Sharpton stands at Tara’s gate demanding that planation slaves unionize. “No justice, no peace, y’all!”
  2. Citizen Kane (1941): It’s now SeƱor Kane as he just walked across the southern border, was given immediate citizenship and told to vote Democrat.
  3. The Sound of Music (1965): The nasty Germans are replaced with Republicans.
  4. The Godfather (1972): Joe Biden plays himself. Cameo by Hunter Biden when he’s found in bed with a dead laptop. Schindler’s List (1993): There were way too many white Jews in the original movie. The remake will feature more people of color at Auschwitz.
  5. The Sixth Sense (1999): Joe Biden shares how during a 2021 meeting with world leaders, he spoke with former French president Francois Mitterrand — who died in 1996 — and former German chancellor Helmut Kohl—who died in 2017.

GOING GREEN: Past generations were green

We couldn’t find the author but want to share this with you.  Checking out at the store, the young cashier suggested to me that I should bring my own shopping bags because plastic bags weren’t good for the environment.  I apologized and explained, “We didn’t have this green thing back in my earlier days.”  The cashier responded, “That’s our problem today. Your generation did not care enough to save our environment for future generations.”

She was right — our generation didn’t have the green thing in its day.

Back then, we returned milk bottles, pop bottles and beer bottles to the store. The store sent them back to the plant to be washed and sterilized and refilled, so it could use the same bottles over and over. So, they really were recycled.  We refilled writing pens with ink instead of buying a new pen, and we replaced the razor blades in a razor instead of throwing away the whole razor just because the blade got dull.

But we didn’t have the green thing back in our day.

We walked up stairs because we didn’t have an escalator in every shop and office building. We walked to the grocery store and didn’t climb into a 300-horsepower machine every time we had to go two blocks.  Back then, we washed the baby’s diapers because we didn’t have the throw-away kind. We dried clothes on a line, not in an energy gobbling machine burning up 220 volts — wind and solar power really did dry our clothes back in our early days. Kids got hand-me-down clothes from their brothers or sisters, not always brand-new clothing.

But that young lady is right. We didn’t have the green thing back in our day.

Back then, we had one TV or radio in the house — not a TV in every room. And the TV had a small screen the size of a handkerchief — remember them? — not a screen the size of the county. In the kitchen, we blended and stirred by hand because we didn’t have electric machines to do everything for us. When we packaged a fragile item to send through the post office, we used wadded up old newspapers to cushion it, not Styrofoam or plastic bubble wrap.

Back then, we didn’t fire up an engine and burn gasoline just to cut the lawn. We used a push mower that ran on human power. We exercised by working so we didn’t need to go to a health club to run on treadmills that operate on electricity. But she’s right. We didn’t have the green thing back then.

We drank water from a fountain or a tap when we were thirsty instead of demanding a plastic bottle flown in from another country. We accepted that a lot of food was seasonal and didn’t expect it to be flown in from other parts of the world thousands of kilometers away.  We actually cooked food that didn’t come out of a packet, tin or plastic wrap and we could even wash our own vegetables and chop our own salad. But we didn’t have the green thing back then.

Back then, people took the streetcar or a bus, and kids rode their bikes to school or walked instead of turning their mothers into a 24-hour taxi service. We had one electrical outlet in a room, not an entire bank of sockets to power a dozen appliances. And we didn’t need a computerized gadget to receive a signal beamed from satellites in space to find the nearest pizza joint.

But isn’t it sad the current generation laments how wasteful we old folks were just because we didn’t have the green thing back then?

COMMENTS FROM OUR READERS We received a lot of comments on Robin’s latest American Thinker column, “Is America Already a Dead Country?” (link below) as well as the Orange County GOP inviting loser Nikki Haley to speak on February 7.

TERRY J.—CALIFORNIA Robin, I still think that voting on election day is the safest way to go and that it also sends a message to the registrar-of-voters that this is what the people prefer. That is not just my opinion, but also other conservatives in leadership positions have said the same thing. Maybe you want to check with the good folks at and see what they say. eip-ca folks are regularly featured at Eagle Forum monthly meetings.

P.S. Thanks to patriots like you for all you do for the cause of liberty by sharing your conservative ideals, news and action items through direct email and social media.

You are like a Mrs. Paul Revere of the 21st century :-)

Thank you, Terry, how kind!

LAUGH, CRY OR SAY AMEN

During his hastily called February 8 press conference, Joe Biden said: My memory is fine!!! Just re-elect me senator on July 4 Election Day!

Daughter’s text to Dad: Daddy, I’m coming home to get married soon. We met on a dating site, became friends on Facebook, and had long chats on Whatsapp. He proposed to me on Skype and now we’ve had a two-month relationship through Viber. Dad, I need your blessing, good wishes, and a really big wedding. Lots of love, Rosey

Dad’s text back to his daughter: My dear Rosey, like wow! Really? Cool! Whatever… I suggest you two get married on Twitter, have fun on Tango, register for your stuff on Amazon, and pay for it all through Paypal. And when you get fed up with this new husband, sell him on eBay.
Love, Dad
