Persecution & Propaganda At Princeton

Dan-el Padilla Peralta, woke cultural revolutionary and Princeton persecutor (Princeton freshman orientation video)

The auto-destruction of America’s great institutions continues. In July 2020, I wrote about how a woke mob of academics and students at Princeton University were assaulting Joshua Katz, a tenured professor of Classics, over his public dissent from their racial hysterics. I wrote at the time:

Joshua T. Katz, a distinguished Classics professor at Princeton, published a brave essay on Quillette the other day, criticizing a lengthy list of demands by woke Princeton professors. He said there are some things he agrees with. On the other hand:

But then there are dozens of proposals that, if implemented, would lead to civil war on campus and erode even further public confidence in how elite institutions of higher education operate. Some examples: “Reward the invisible work done by faculty of color with course relief and summer salary” and “Faculty of color hired at the junior level should be guaranteed one additional semester of sabbatical” and “Provide additional human resources for the support of junior faculty of color.” Let’s leave aside who qualifies as “of color,” though this is not a trivial point. It boggles my mind that anyone would advocate giving people—extraordinarily privileged people already, let me point out: Princeton professors—extra perks for no reason other than their pigmentation.

Prof. Katz responded to the list’s demand that Princeton apologize to members of the “Black Justice League.” Writes Katz:

The Black Justice League, which was active on campus from 2014 until 2016, was a small local terrorist organization that made life miserable for the many (including the many black students) who did not agree with its members’ demands. Recently I watched an “Instagram Live” of one of its alumni leaders, who—emboldened by recent events and egged on by over 200 supporters who were baying for blood—presided over what was effectively a Struggle Session against one of his former classmates. It was one of the most evil things I have ever witnessed, and I do not say this lightly.

Well, they’ve been dragging out Prof. Katz’s immiseration for over a year now. Incredibly, the university uses him as an example of racism on an official Princeton website dedicated to educating incoming students about the history of racism at Princeton. I repeat: this is an official university website. Here are the Katz parts:...............To Read More....

Our Group's Take   - This article is ostensibly about what's going on at Princeton of course... The problem is that this is a microcosm of what's going on all over our nation at this point. Not to mention that it includes a tremendous amount of government coercion both in the forms of economic extortion but also outright threats of government prosecution on a number of different subjects. For example, how Biden has the DOJ threatening legal action against states that have outlawed School mask mandates. The direction our nation is rapidly plunging is absolutely horrifying.

Princeton Removes Greek, Latin Requirement for Classics Majors to Combat ‘Systemic Racism’

By

Classics majors at Princeton University will no longer be required to learn Greek or Latin in a push to create a more inclusive and equitable program, an effort that was given “new urgency” by the “events around race that occurred last summer,” according to faculty.

Last month, faculty members approved changes to the Classics department, including eliminating the “classics” track, which required an intermediate proficiency in Greek or Latin to enter the concentration, according to Princeton Alumni Weekly. The requirement for students to take Greek or Latin was also removed.

Josh Billings, director of undergraduate studies and professor of classics, said the shift will give students more opportunities to major in classics.

Billings said the changes had been floated before university president Christopher Eisgruber called for addressing systemic racism at the university, but the curriculum shift resurfaced as a priority after the president’s call to action and the “events around race that occurred last summer.”..........To Read More.....

Princeton admits only 129 white American males

April 7, 2021 — Paul Mirengoff

Princeton has offered admission to its class of 2025 to 1,498 applicants. According to numbers provided by the University, fewer than nine percent of them (129 out of the 1498) are white American males. Of that small number many — perhaps most — are recruited athletes.  68 percent of the admitted applicants identify as “persons of color.” 14 percent identify as international students. 52 percent are female. 48 percent are male.

Putting these numbers together, we see that 82 percent of those admitted identify as “persons of color” or international students, while 18 percent are white Americans. Less than half of that small group are male.

In its announcement, Princeton lumps Asian-American together with Blacks and other minority group members as “persons of color.” Thus, we don’t yet know what percentage of those offered admission belong to which minority group.  We also don’t know how many of the small group of non-athlete white American males whom Princeton admitted denounced their white maleness in their “personal statement.” Even if that’s not a prerequisite, it’s probably a good strategy.

Princeton assures us that in the admissions process “the University remained committed to a holistic review process.” In the hope that Princeton is sued for what looks like racial discrimination, I say “tell it to judge.”...................To Read More....
