President Ronald Reagan Explains what True Conservatism Is

Years ago, before becoming President of the United States, President Ronald Reagan sat down with 60 Minutes to discuss his view on politics. During the conversation the interviewer wondered, rather obsequiously, at how conservatives had come to identify themselves as “libertarian.” Reagan’s response was perfect, rightly dissecting how modern liberals had embraced fascism and it was conservatives who had become the true defenders of individual liberty and economic freedom.
