Colin Powell’s Worst Insult of All

Ross Kaminsky

In a bushel of Colin Powell’s private emails released by a website thought to have connections to Russian intelligence, the former secretary of state and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff excoriates Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as a racist “know-nothing” and a “national disgrace and international pariah.”

Yawn.

This from the “Republican” who voted twice for Barack Obama......[yet what] Powell says of Hillary, “I would rather not have to vote for her...... “a 70-year person [sic] with a long track record, unbridled ambition, greedy, not transformational, with a husband still dicking bimbos at home (according to the NYP).” ......Let’s consider Powell’s adjectives for Clinton.

First, that she is ultra-ambitious........Next, that she is greedy......[but] “not transformational,”....... is about the worst insult you can hurl at a candidate........[as for the] former steel worker in Pittsburgh, auto worker in Detroit, coal miner in Kentucky or West Virginia, for these people, Trump represents hope and change and transformation.........Everybody knows about Hillary’s ambition and greed. You won’t change any minds by staying focused on those issues. But “not transformational” is a near-perfect and barely used description, one which can change the minds of millions of still undecided voters......To Read More.....

My TakeDoes anyone really care what he thinks?    In this article he outlines what a contemptible person Hillary is and yet says he " would rather not have to vote for her, although she is a friend I respect.”   In other articles he's quoted as saying, [she has a] "lack of vision [she's] “sleazy” and that “hubris” marks “everything” she touches."  Wow!  I hate to think what he would say about a person who isn't a friend or he doesn't respect,

How can any rational person stand up in public and spew out such nonsense?  He's a blowhard, and if Hillary hadn't drug him into her illegal e-mail scandal would he have said anything about how contemptible she is?  I don't think so.

There's something seriously wrong with this man's self perception and value system.  He's not one who has the right to throw stones and either Trump or Hillary.  Neither Trump or Hillary are held in high esteem by very many on the left or right.  But Powell presented himself as a man of integrity, honesty, trustworthyness and insight, and conservatives bought into that.  His actions over recent years have proven otherwise.  Conservatives were the only people who held him in high esteem - and he threw that away long ago.  His credibility is non-existant to either these leftist radicals or conservatives, although the media will, in spite of his "moments of sophomoric invective and vulgarity".... "the myth of his puffed-chest probity is too valuable for reporters to give up on", and the elites will pay to hear him speak.

As for the normal people of the world - Colin - just say goodnight, turn off the light on your way out and close the door behind you.
