In the media, the only way to discredit him for being proven right is to blame Donald Trump for saying so. Just as they blame Donald Trump for violence against those who attend his rallies, so they blame him when positions he holds are obviously vindicated by current events. While Howard Kurtz attempts to be even handed (and I believe he is being sincere), I still think he ends up being too negative on Trump............I’m sorry but the accusation that “Donald Trump sought to capitalize on the Orlando tragedy,” means that Trump was doing his job and the mainstream media wants him to do so less effectively.
Donald Trump argued, in the wake of the San Bernardino shooting, that we should pause Islamic immigration until we can vet them better. Now the largest terrorist attack since 9/11 has been launched in the U.S. and it perfectly demonstrates Trump’s point. It is exactly what he warned about.
So now he’s guilty of “capitalizing” on the mass murder spree?
