Climategate leaker: Our civilization is being destroyed by lying "science" elitists

Ron Arnold

"What if climate change appears to be just mainly a multi-decadal natural fluctuation? They'll kill us probably."

This private musing between two climate scientist colleagues first surfaced along with a whole raft of embarrassing material in 2011, when the anonymous Climategate leaker who calls himself "Mr. FOIA" leaked his second set of emails from Britain's disgraced Climate Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia. Now, Mr. FOIA has emerged for a third time, sharing with the world not only his entire batch of 220,000 encrypted emails and documents but also, for the first time, his thoughts......The first and second email batches contained conversations among "scientists" who appear to have dishonored a once respectable discipline, documenting that their claims of a "man-made global warming crisis" look exactly like deliberate contrivances for academic career gain, research funding and positions of political power in "the cause."  Some big-name players are playing games with people's lives and livelihoods………
Christopher C. Horner, senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute….. "Whatever prompted `Mr. FOIA,'..... so far, the courts have failed us, as have our political institutions - and he has concluded that those in the public who have resisted the climate industry agenda should now have a chance to review these taxpayer-financed records, which are the subject of a remarkable campaign to subvert transparency laws."….. Americans won't take captivity. It's time to demote our climate masters to our humble servants. We won't kill them. But we should sentence them to prison - or Siberia, where they'll wish the climate was warming....To Read More.....
Comment by John Ray  - The first two "Climategate" email disclosures sent shock waves through the arrogant, imperialistic "manmade catastrophic climate change" power structure - and awakened the world to just how little "science" was behind the global warming scare . and the incessant demands that we tear down the hydrocarbon energy foundation of our economy, prosperity and living standards. And those two disclosures were just 5,000 emails apiece!

Now Mr. FOIA (as the purveyor of climate alarm dishonesty calls himself) has sent a massive cache of 220,000 encrypted emails to selected friends, who will gradually decode and distribute them. We can only imagine what sordid new details will emerge. He also issued a statement, explaining why he decided he had to make the world aware of the depravity he had discovered.

Environmentalism and Aboriginal Supremacism in Canada: Part 1, Idle No More

By William Walter Kay
In Canada, as in several countries (Australia, Brazil, and the USA), the international environmental movement has fashioned a considerable auxiliary out of Indigenous peoples.

Between December 2012 and February 2013 Canada’s eco-Aboriginal auxiliary briefly showed its fangs in an aborted uprising operating under the banner “Idle No More.”

This posting (the first of a series dealing with the green wing of Canada’s Aboriginal Industry) revisits the Idle No More episode with a focus on the roles played by: a supportive mass media; compliant police executives; and corrupt, extremist Aboriginal elites.

Chief scientist warns climate change will bring extremes in weather

Posted on 25 March 2013 by Priyanka Shrestha
The UK Government’s chief scientist has warned time delays in the climate system means that greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere now will determine the weather the world experiences for the next 25 years.  Sir John Beddington said climate change is one of the things he has been trying to bring to the Government’s attention but believes it is not talked about enough. He also noted the climate and weather we’re experiencing now comes from greenhouse gases that were in the atmosphere 25 years ago.  He said the international community’s failure to agree binding targets for cutting carbon emissions meant problems were being stored up for the future…….[However] Director Benny Peiser said: “No one knows whether next winter will be warm or cold or average, no one knows whether next summer will be hot or wet or dry. It’s very, very difficult to make long-term predictions and therefore, I remain rather sceptical about the reliability and accuracy of these kind of speculation. They are pure speculation, they are not based on any hard facts, it’s an assumption.”......“We need Governments to spend more money on real solutions and not foolish policies like wind farms that have no effect on the climate whatsoever. They are a waste of money and are not helping anyone other than the landowners making millions out of the subsidies. The real policy that has an effect and that will help people is to realise that whoever is right on CO2, there will always be flooding, there will always be drought and we need to prepare for these events and make our societies more resilient.” To Read More….

Coldest Easter EVER: Arctic misery set to last a week as temperatures drop to -15C

BRITAIN is braced for the coldest Easter on record with the bitter Arctic blast showing no signs of easing.
By: Nathan Rao Published: Mon, March 25, 2013
Another week of freezing temperatures, gales and snow is forecast as the UK shivers in the chilliest spring for 50 years.  Heavy snow showers and strong winds have swept through the country causing mayhem on the roads, closing schools and downing power lines.
The extreme cold is thought to have caused the deaths of at least four people including two men, aged 25 and 33, at the weekend. Forecasters said the mercury was likely to fall below -10C (14F) this week but wind chill could make it feel like -15C or colder across swathes of the country……To Read More…..

Mentioning the lethal “100-year, record-smashing” spring cold and snow spreading across Europe over the past month has for the most part been avoided like the plague by Germany’s mainstream media. The silence over the record cold and frost, which has killed thousands and cost billions, has been ear-ringing.

Bringing Down America with the Company You Keep

March 25, 2013 By Larissa Atbashian
My husband, Oleg Atbashian, was recently given a 24-hour deadline by Cliff Kincaid of America’s Survival to design a new book cover for the re-release of Bringing Down America: An FBI Informer with the Weathermen, a 1976 fact-based story by Larry Grathwohl.
Set in 1970, this riveting narrative chronicles one year of life on the lam with leaders of America’s most infamous domestic terrorist organization, as seen through the eyes of an FBI infiltrator posing as a radical communist. Prior to the publication, Larry Grathwohl testified before several federal Grand Juries, the U.S. Senate, and at the Mark Felt/Ed Miller FBI Trial.  Today he is still an active participant in the national debate on issues related to national security and terrorism.
Notions like “sacrifice” and “ecstatic righteousness of youth” may sound admirable, but Grathwohl, who lived underground with the real characters, witnessed “a world of hatred, drugs, and free sex.” He saw, up close, a gang of thugs who admired the Manson killers, plotted bombings, murders, and political assassinations, and aimed to overthrow the constitutionally elected US government. There is nothing sacrificial about terrorists who shoot up a police station and boast, “Our lawyers will make fools of the pigs.”…To Read More…..

Desmond Tutu: Godfather of Hell

March 25, 2013 By Daniel Greenfield Comments (12)
Desmond Tutu has been busy lately. Two weeks ago he wrote an editorial calling for the abolition of nuclear weapons. A week later he joined an international anti-tobacco campaign. Last month he condemned American drones for killing Muslim terrorists. Last summer he denounced a military-themed NBC Reality Show…… Tutu’s favorite international targets may have their faults, but few of them are really as bad as his own native South Africa.  Two years ago, Tutu denounced South Africa’s Zuma government for being worse than the Apartheid government, but he has less to say about the general state of affairs in the hell’s own acre that is the new South Africa…..
Attacking Israel is easier for Tutu than healing his own country. The Archbishop Emeritus long ago lost his faith in South Africa and has been running around the world to escape the ANC’s ugly legacy.  Attacking Israel has become a perverse substitute for fighting for the soul of his own people. Beating up on the Jewish State allows Tutu to aspire to a moral stature, even if it is a stature drawn from the ugly heart of his own notorious anti-Jewish bigotry.
“The Jews thought they had a monopoly on God,” Tutu once said. These days Tutu thinks that he has a monopoly on god, laughing it up with the Dalai Lama while denouncing Christianity for creating the KKK. To millions of liberals around the world, Tutu has become a miniature deity. A giggling deliverer of empty profundities about responsibility who runs away from the horrors he spawned in South Africa....To Read More....Much More....

After Cyprus, Will Luxembourg Be Next Euro Banking Haven To Implode

By Daniel Eckert and Holger Zschäpitz - DIE WELT/Worldcrunch
For Wolfgang Schäuble, the world is sometimes a pretty simple place. Cyprus, for example, just had the wrong business model. Those were the words the German Finance Minister used to explain the problems that that European Union island nation is experiencing now.
According to Schäuble, the Mediterranean state counted too much on its banks and allowed its financial sector to get bloated. And indeed Cyprus’s banking sector, with its 47 billion euros in deposits, is two-and-a-half times the size of the country’s 18-billion-euro economy.
But Schäuble’s explanation is flawed: the beautiful island nation of 800,000 inhabitants is not the only country in the euro zone with a ramped-up financial industry. In no less than 10 countries, the volume of bank deposits totals more than real economic value – sometimes several times more.
Heading the list is not Cyprus, but the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The tiny country brings in less than 44 billion euros from its goods and services, yet its banks boast a whacking 227 billion euros in deposits, which is to say over five times the GDP.
Malta and its 7-billion-euro economy is home to nearly 12 billion in deposits. Other countries with significant deposits are the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium and Portugal. Even Germany’s 3.1 trillion euros in bank deposits exceed actual economic performance….To Read More….

Cyprus told: take bank levy or leave euro

Cyprus told: take bank levy or leave euro
Ian Traynor in Brussels The Guardian, Sunday 24 March 2013 17.11 EDT
President, eurozone finance ministers and bailout troika hold emergency meeting as €100 limit imposed on ATM withdrawals - …………Little progress was reported from the earlier meetings on Sunday on resolving the stalemate over how to structure a €17bn bailout, with creditors unwilling to offer more than €10bn while expressing dissatisfaction over Cypriot proposals to supply the remainder.
Over the weekend, Nicosia moved on legislation to wind up Cyprus Popular Bank and to introduce capital controls to try to prevent a bank run and flight of money out of the country.  If an agreement is found, the proposed deal would still need to pass the Cypriot parliament probably by Monday at the latest. It was clear that whether Cyprus accepted or rejected the bailout terms, its economy and banking sector faced maximum disruption and turmoil. "There are only hard choices left," said Rehn….To Read More….

Peter Wallison: How to Repeat the Mortgage Mess

March 6, 2013, 6:23 p.m. ET
In September 2008, amid the financial panic and collapse of the housing market, the federal government bailed out and took control of Fannie Mae FNMA +1.67% and Freddie Mac, FMCC +0.26% two government-sponsored enterprises that dominated the mortgage market. After four years and $180 billion of taxpayer funds to keep them afloat, they are beginning to make profits from their near monopoly. This week, the head of the federal agency that supervises Fannie and Freddie, Edward DeMarco, outlined a sensible plan that would prepare the companies—which remain the dominant players in housing finance—for either full privatization or government ownership.
These are the obvious alternatives, but there is a third idea in the mix, one that is as seductive as it is dangerous: a private system but with an explicit government mechanism for future bailouts when they prove necessary. The rationale? If there's a problem in housing finance, the government will inevitably step in as it did in 2008. So why not create a government insurance program now, compensating taxpayers for the burdens they will have to shoulder eventually anyway?   To Read More….

Live With Your Answers – “Occupy” A World Without Oil

Written on Sunday, March 24, 2013 by Michael McCarthy
My hometown newspaper reported on local college students who traveled in a van (oil fueled) for ten hours over highways of asphalt (made from oil products) to protest in Washington D.C. against the Keystone XL Pipeline from Canada into the US.
A picture showed them warmly clad in fleece and nylon jackets (both petroleum products) smiling for the camera. Of course this was a big party that enabled them to “feel good” about “doing something” about the environment and global warming, without actually making any sacrifice themselves.
Tellingly, many signs reading “StOp the Pipeline” used the Obama symbol for the letter O.
Of course, these students and the professor who drove them to the protest do not have a clue about what it would be like to live without oil for fuel, products made from oil (like their warm fleece Polar Bear hats), and oil and coal for electricity. They haven’t studied enough history to know that the average life span in the Middle Ages (before industrialization and fossil fuels) was 30-35 years. If disease did not kill you early, your body was literally worn out from the overwork required just for daily living. Without fossil fuel, your body became a fossil.
So, I hereby offer a “LIVE WITH YOUR ANSWERS” challenge for students who want to block the Keystone XL pipeline:
Create an “OCCUPY A WORLD WITHOUT OIL” encampment in the center of campus. The challenge would be to live for one week without the products of our hydrocarbon world:....To Read More....

It’s payback time for our insane energy policy

An obsession with CO2 has left us dangerously short of power as coal-powered stations are forced to close
As the snow of the coldest March since 1963 continues to fall, we learn that we have barely 48 hours’ worth of stored gas left to keep us warm, and that the head of our second-largest electricity company, SSE, has warned that our generating capacity has fallen so low that we can expect power cuts to begin at any time. It seems the perfect storm is upon us.
The grotesque mishandling of Britain’s energy policy by the politicians of all parties, as they chase their childish chimeras of CO2-induced global warming and windmills, has been arguably the greatest act of political irresponsibility in our history. …To Read More…

Deranged science, perverse policy

The book, Age of Global Warming, by Rupert Darwall describes attempt to impose climate servitude
In his brilliant new book, The Age of Global Warming, British writer Rupert Darwall notes a phenomenon known as “climate change derangement syndrome.” The phenomenon was on prominent display this week when NDP leader Tom Mulcair went to Washington.
It wasn’t just that Mr. Mulcair’s attack on the climate policies of Stephen Harper was diplomatically inappropriate, or that his support for the recent New York Times anti-Keystone XL editorial was fatuous, it was that Mr. Mulcair’s stance made absolutely no sense if he is truly concerned about the welfare of Canadians – or indeed humanity as a whole……The book should profoundly embarrass virtually the entire global scientific community, either for actively supporting the political corruption of science, or for standing silently by while it happened — although the consequences of speaking out shouldn’t be underestimated. As Mr. Darwall observes, skeptics “needed to be crushed and dissent de-legitimized. They were stooges of oil companies and fossil fuel interests, free market ideologues, or climate change deniers.”……. “[U.S. president Dwight Eisenhower(’s)]……less quoted is….. “In holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.” …..How little scientific substance is behind the policy that almost ate the world is just one of the fascinating insights of this excellent book, which takes the lid off one of the most bizarre chapters in modern history, although it’s one that still isn’t finished….Read More Here….

Banks in Cyprus are taking down the entire system? Really?

By Robert Romano
When the European sovereign debt crisis began at the end of 2009, when it was revealed that Greece had hidden about €30 billion ($38.7 billion) of liabilities from the accounting of its national debt, all the smartest people in the room assured us that there was no risk.  Greece was tiny, with a Gross Domestic Product just 2.5 percent of the whole Eurozone. Besides, €30 billion was a relatively small number. And even if Greece was having trouble raising money on bond markets, there would be little ripple effect throughout the Eurozone, let alone the global economy.
Fast-forward three years. Greece has defaulted on €100 billion ($129.1 billion), or almost one-third of its debt. Further debt crises have broken out in Ireland, Portugal, Spain, and Italy. The Eurozone is once again in recession. And it is not over yet.
Now, banks in Cyprus who were exposed to Greek debt have faced serious losses and their very solvency is in question.  Just an emergency liquidity lifeline from the European Central Bank keeps the economy there afloat. Banks have been ordered closed until Tuesday while policymakers scramble to figure out a solution……. Still, the same smart people in the room [assure us]……. That there is no crisis.
Who do you believe? After three years, the question any honest person should ask is how can the crisis in Europe have possibly been contained when a hiccup in Cyprus threatens to take the entire Eurozone?.....To Read More......

My Take – I think the author has outlined the problem very well, however I wonder if the last question he asks is the right one.  I think the appropriate question should be this:  Which straw will break the camel’s back?

Current Obama appointee to NLRB faces civil RICO lawsuit over union embezzlement

By Rick Manning –
Richard Griffin, Jr. has had a rough 2012, and 2013 doesn’t look much better.  For Griffin, 2012 started brightly as he was given a recess appointment to the National Labor Relations Board and was sworn in as a Board Member on January 9, 2012.  Now, just a little more than a year later, he is fighting for his political life.
His appointment has been invalidated by the U.S. District Court of Appeals which ruled it to be illegal due to the President’s failure to follow the constitutional requirement that the U.S. Senate confirm his appointments to bodies like the NLRB.
The Senate confirmation process is designed to determine if appointees might have skeletons in their closet or other reasons that make them unfit to serve.  By short-circuiting it, Obama effectively tried to tell the American people to simply trust him that the people he was appointing met the highest ethical standards.
In the case of Griffin, it is likely that the background check and vetting process a nominee has to undergo when they face Senate confirmation would have revealed a brewing embezzlement scandal involving the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 501.  Internal local union investigations revealed that a union official allegedly embezzled money to pay for breast implants for his mistress among other seedy items……To Read More…..

Obama’s dangerous love of unions

By Bill Wilson
A massive embezzlement case in Mexico involving the leader of Latin America’s largest labor union should send shivers up and down the spines of American workers. It should also force the administration of Barack Obama to reexamine its ongoing kowtowing to union bosses — most notably the ongoing erosion of worker safeguards against union corruption.
At the heart of the Mexican scandal is Elba Esther Gordillo. Since 1989 Gordillo has led the 1.5 million-member……Mexico’s education workers’ union. The 68-year-old, who is known simply as “la Maestra” (or “the teacher”), has long dominated Mexico’s government-run school system — earning a reputation for ruthlessness and flamboyance.
In fact prior to the passage of recent reforms, Mexico permitted its government teaching positions to be sold and inherited like personal property — and bestowed upon Gordillo’s union power over hiring, promotion and salaries…..
Meanwhile big right-to-work wins in Michigan and Indiana have put a dent on union prestige — while the failure of union leaders to oust Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker in a 2012 recall election has demonstrated the weakness of its political operation. Obama recognizes all of this — and is acting swiftly to restore union clout. Of course he’s also stripping away any semblance of accountability over union leaders — creating a “Wild West” environment in which corruption like what we are currently witnessing in Mexico is free to run rampant……To Read More…..

Top Ten Hitters

To My Readers,
The top ten countries to hit Paradigms and Demographics this past week are; United States, Netherlands, Russia, Germany, United Kingdom, Bulgaria, France, Ukraine, Sweden, and Malaysia.  There wasn’t much in the way of a pattern on which posts anyone was most interested.   There are times when a certain topic will trigger a bunch of hits from a certain area, but not this week.  I want to welcome Sweden and Malaysia into the top ten this week.  Sweden has been there before, but I think this is the first time for Malaysia. The US, Russia, Germany, and the UK are there every week, with Canada, France Bulgaria the Netherlands and the Ukraine there most weeks.  Spain, Australia, Ireland and Poland were strong contenders this week and I got some activity from the Cayman Islands, and there were others that escape my memory right now.  At any rate, welcome, thank you for your interest, and best wishes for this coming week to everyone.

Logical Fallacy of the Week, Week 61: Appeal to Consequences

Appeal to consequences (argumentum ad consequentiam) – also known as argumentum ad consequentiam (Latin for "argument to the consequences"), is an argument that concludes a hypothesis (typically a belief) to be either true or false based on whether the premise leads to desirable or undesirable consequences. This is based on an appeal to emotion and is a type of informal fallacy, since the desirability of a consequence does not make it true. Moreover, in categorizing consequences as either desirable or undesirable, such arguments inherently contain subjective points of view.
In logic, appeal to consequences refers only to arguments that assert a conclusion's truth value (true or false) without regard to the formal preservation of the truth from the premises; appeal to consequences does not refer to arguments that address a premise's desirability (good or bad, or right or wrong) instead of its truth value. Therefore, an argument based on appeal to consequences is valid in ethics, and in fact such arguments are the cornerstones of many moral theories, particularly related to consequentialism.  ….Follow the links to read more….

Violence of the Left

Most violence and violent rhetoric is leftist in origin. As the left has a firm grip on the reins of mainstream media, it should come as no surprise that the right is the scapegoat for the sins of the left. The irony is that the left is guilty of what its favorite leftist psychologist, Sigmund Freud, coined “projection.” The left denies its own violent actions and rhetoric and instead ascribes it to its chief political opposition—the right.
The left projects its own violent tendencies upon the right through extensive use of media propaganda. “Right-wingers” are immediately blamed for any outburst of random violence perpetrated by isolated and disturbed individuals, yet the entire history of leftist aggression, angry rhetoric, and physical violence is swept into the dustbin of history. Leftist riots, leftist terrorists, leftist serial bombers, leftist calls for genocide—all of these sink down the memory hole, purposefully eclipsed by a barrage of stories about right-wing violence. Reality is quite different.
Worldwide, the left-wing forces of communism are responsible for more than 100 million civilian deaths in the Twentieth Century. Russia, Romania, Yugoslavia, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, and other communist-controlled nations became killing fields in the name of social progress—a favorite term of the left. America mistakenly believes that Marxism and leftism largely died with the fall of the Soviet Union, but the parasite merely changed hosts.   To Read More……

Biden's One-Night Paris Hotel Tab: $585,000.50

Mar 22, 2013 • By JERYL BIER
President Joe Biden's London stay in February was not the most expensive part of his trip. A government document released on February 14, 2013 shows that the contract for the Hotel Intercontinental Paris Le Grand came in at $585,000.50.
The documentation for this contract is not as detailed as the London one, so the cost per room is not available.  However, just like his London hotel, the Hotel Intercontinental Paris Le Grand is a five star hotel. Again, security concerns prevent these type of contracts from being open to bidding, but if the government was able to do some comparison shopping, the Hotel Intercontinental has a special offer, "Find a lower price elsewhere and your first night is free." The Vice President stayed in Paris for one night….This Appeared Here….. ...

Pelosi and Biden Eat and Drink Judgment

When the Pope was just Jorge Mario Bergoglio, Archbishop of Buenos Aires, he spoke clearly and without hesitation that “abortion is never a solution.”  Bergoglio’s view is that abortion is a “death sentence” for the unborn.  In 2007, during the presentation of the Aparecida Document, a “joint statement of the bishops of Latin America,” Bergoglio said about communion and abortion that “Eucharistic coherence” was something that should be adhered to.
At that time the Pope said this:  People cannot receive Holy Communion and at the same time act or speak against the commandments, in particular when abortion, euthanasia, and other serious crimes against life and family are facilitated. This responsibility applies particularly to legislators, governors, and health professionals….To Read More…...

Being Green Isn’t Harmless

March 11, 2013
We all care about the environment. But now we’re going to foolish extremes. And real people are getting hurt.  In conversations with individuals young and old, I’ve run up against a constant theme. Perhaps I’ve tried to explain why a particular green proposal is nonsensical once ill-founded assumptions are separated from cold facts. Perhaps I’ve mentioned that green activists alarm me because they are unelected and unaccountable. ........
But in the political arena, people who claim to be standing up for the environment often use that as a cover for something else. They’re trying to sell us on vegetarianism. They think capitalism should be swept away........They’re trying to convince themselves that they’re superheroes saving the planet rather than ordinary working Joes.  Or, they’re simply paying the bills, feeding their own machine. All those attorneys on staff at high-powered green groups cost money. All those rent payments for offices in multiple countries don’t come cheap.......
The British government – which is responsible for writing the rules and regulations that have brought about this state of affairs – has lost its way. It’s now forcing power companies to do unbelievably dumb things in the name of being green. It’s playing games with an essential service on which lives and jobs depend.  Doubling electricity bills will harm pensioners, those on disability benefits, and impoverished kids. It will cause jobs to disappear. Piling hardship on top of hardship in this manner, pretending that real people won’t really suffer, is not morally defensible.....To Read More.....

Erin Brockovich

By George Johnson | March 21, 2013
This week in a piece for Slate about cancer clusters, like the one made famous by the movie Erin Brockovich, I describe how they almost always turn out to be illusions — examples of what the epidemiologist Seymour Grufferman called “the Texas sharpshooter effect.” Here is how I described it in my article: Stand way back and blast the side of a barn with a shotgun and then find some holes that are crowded together. Draw a circle around them and you have what looks like a bull’s-eye.
The pollution that was blamed for the malignancies may be very real — the Brockovich case involved a metal called hexavalent chromium or chromium 6 that had been discharged during the 1950s and 60s into the drinking water of Hinkley, a small town in the Mojave Desert. The people who lived there were naturally afraid of what the chemical might be doing to their health. But long after the movie was gone from the theaters and the residents and their lawyers had received a $300 million settlement, a 12-year epidemiological study was completed. No elevation of cancer was found…..To Read More…..

Without chaos, government has no future

Exclusive: Patrice Lewis notes results of the State armed with coercion and a gun
I once read a line in Arthur C. Clark’s “2001: A Space Odyssey” as follows: “The newspapers of Utopia … would be terribly dull.” The context of this remark is that in a perfect world, there would be no news. Let’s face it, the news industry thrives because there are always crises to report.
Similarly, governments thrive on chaos. If there isn’t enough occurring naturally, the government may well manufacture it, just to keep themselves in business. A couple weeks ago I saw a comment that read, “Without chaos, government has no future.” This was later amended to, “Without chaos, even if intentionally orchestrated, government has no future.” This is vastly true…..“Each government program carries within it the seeds of future programs that will be ‘needed’ to clean up the mess the first program creates,” writes the late Harry Browne in his superb book “Why Government Doesn’t Work.” “No matter how much mischief it causes, government always shows up in a cavalry uniform – riding in to rescue us from the problems it created.”…. I’ll end with yet another quote from Thomas Jefferson, who had the astounding ability to look 250 years into the future: “When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.”  Do you really want tyranny?..... To Read More….

BLS Releases Another Phony 'Green Jobs' Report

Posted 03/21/2013
Solyndra looms, a new government report shows that by the government's own broad definition of a green job, more can be found in a coal mine than near a solar panel.  The second annual Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) report on "Employment in Green Goods and Services," released Tuesday, will be the last, allegedly a casualty of the same sequestration that claimed the White House tours and may doom the Easter egg hunt on the White House lawn.  That is probably a good thing, for if it were published as a book, it would deserve a place at the top of the New York Times best-seller fiction list. It is chock full of charts claiming millions of new "green" jobs being produced by President Obama's efforts to heal the planet and lower the rising seas. But if you have the eyes and the patience to actually examine it, it is full of lies, damned lies and government statistics…….. Under the heading "coal and petroleum products mfg." we find 3,278 jobs. So even in the BLS list of "green" jobs, coal and oil wins.  So what about the "millions" of other "green" jobs claimed? The problem is in that definition…… "Many of these jobs being counted as 'green' are not green and not new,"…."BLS is counting green jobs to include bus drivers, trash collectors, radio broadcasters and movie producers.”…….  To Read More….

I Have Found Another Million Green Jobs! Or Not?

By Rich Kozlovich
I posted this article today; BLS Releases Another Phony 'Green Jobs' Report.  The author outlines how this administration has presented a "chock full of charts claiming millions of new "green" jobs being produced by President Obama's efforts to heal the planet and lower the rising seas."  The problem lies in how one defines a green job.  Here is a paraphrased definition based on this article.
A "green" job is any job that is of benefit to the environment, or is capable of conserving natural resources.  Any job in which a workers' duties involve making their establishment's production processes more environmentally friendly or use fewer natural resources.
It would seem to me that a "green" job would be job that didn't exist before we adopted "green" alternatives to something that already existed, and unlike 'all' these green initiatives existed effectively I might add.  However, that isn’t the case.
Let's consider solar power programs.  I would have to assume that electricians put these useless things together and hook them up.  Right?  Is that a "green" job?  That seems unlikely to me since electricians have been around for a very long time. So being an electrician isn't a new job and it wasn't created by "green" technology; and that job will be here after the world returns to sanity and dumps all this green claptrap.  But by definition.....that must be a green job!
That got me to thinking.  We in the pest control industry have a bit of an identity crisis.  We have normal people like me who realize that to be green is to be irrational, misanthropic and morally defective.  I do think clarity is important.  Then we have those suffering from cognitive dissonence and insist that they must “go green” because their customers are demanding it.  Okay, I can understand meeting the needs or demands of one’s customers.  That’s a business decision, and one I have no fight over.  But the ones who seem to believe all the greenie mythology are the ones who drive me crazy.  To truly believe in green anything and to be in pest control is clearly a case of cognitive dissonance, believing in two diametrically opposing views and believing both are right.
Well, I have discovered a solution to all of that.   Based on the government's definition of a green job.....we.....all of us.….are now are holding green jobs.  After all; we strive to eliminate pests.  That must be good for the environment.  We strive to use less gasoline, less pesticides and less of everything else and still be effective; don’t we?  I know the reason is economic, but …..nonetheless….we are conserving….right?  So that means we are conserving and using less of a great many things…..right?  Ergo…..We are a green industry with at the least 150,000 employees automatically added to the “green” jobs list.  And what about the greens keepers, lawn care companies, landscapers? I sit on a board of directors of an association that represents all the pesticide and fertilizer applicators in Ohio, and I know for a fact they are doing their darnedest to reduce costs on all that stuff….that makes those jobs green jobs also….right?
Wow!  Doesn’t that make you feel all warm and fuzzy all over?  Exterminators, farmers, landscapers, greens keepers and lawn care workers are all green according to government standards.   Surely those categories alone must include at least a million workers.
I do have one question though.  Now based on the government's definition of what constitutes a “green” job, we must all be identified as “green” workers; therefore does that mean the “green” activists will stop attacking us?
There is one more thing; I didn’t notice “green” activists on the “green” jobs list.  So then….they aren't green….right?  Wow! Isn't that warm and fuzzy feeling getting better and better all the time?  Except there is still one more thing that bothers me; the author says those are 'phony' figures.  Hey....just wait one minute!  Is it possible that there is no such thing as a "green" job at all?   And does that mean we are all right back to where we started?  Well, if that's the case, then I still believe that to be green is to be irrational, misanthropic and morally defective, and I further believe those who on the opposing side in the pest control industry suffer from cognitive dissonance, and the administration loses a million green jobs.
I also believe it's so important to have clarity!

The Mini-Ice Age has Arrived

Snowfall Map for March 19 to 20
By Alan Caruba

This appeared here.  Thanks to Alan for allowing me to publish his work. RK

Climatologists and meteorologists are familiar with the last Mini Ice Age (MIA) that occurred between 1350 and 1850 AD. It is also referred to as the Little Ice Age. Suffice to say it was cold and, as such weather cycles tend to do, it altered history in a variety of ways.

The failure of crops was one aspect of the cold spell and in France the revolution that overthrew the monarchy is attributed to the unhappiness of its citizens, but famine in the northern hemisphere was widespread. In the United States, it is best recalled for the horrid winter our revolutionary war soldiers spent at Valley Forge.

Since climate is cyclical, it is not surprising that the MIA followed the Medieval Warm Period, also known as a climate optimum. Crops flourished, empires rose and declined, and neither cycle had a thing to do with so-called greenhouse gas emissions such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and everything to do with what was happening on the sun.

As spring arrives in the U.S., there was also a broad band of snow storms that comes with it.

One of the world’s most respected long-term climate forecasters is Piers Corbyn, an astrophysicist whose expertise is relied upon by corporations and others who need to know what the weather will really be as opposed to the criminally false claims about global warming. His website, WeatherAction, is well worth visiting.

In his own words, “WeatherAction is involved in the Global Warming/Climate Change debate where we point out that the world is now cooling not warming and there is no observational evidence in the thousands and millions of years of data that changes in CO2 have any effect on weather or climate. There are no scientists in the world who can produce such observational data. There is only effect the other way, namely that ocean temperatures control average CO2 levels.”

Recently Corbyn announced that “The CO2 story is over. It has been pointing the world in the wrong direction for too long. The serious implications of the developing mini ice age to agriculture and the world economy through the next 25 to 35 years must be addressed.” World cooling is now locked in says Corbyn, citing the decrease in average solar activity and a jet stream that is often further south than normal, resulting in extreme weather events.

Following in the heels of Corbyn’s forecast was the release of a new report by Dr. David Whitehouse, published by the Global Warming Policy Foundation, and what makes it fairly extraordinary after decades of global warming propaganda is that he concludes that there has been no statistically significant increase in annual global temperatures since 1997. That’s seventeen years of atrocious lies about a warming earth.

The irony that Dr. Whitehouse includes in his report is that the atmospheric composition of carbon dioxide has increased during that time from 370 ppm to 390 ppm. So, everything you have been told about carbon dioxide emissions and those of other so-called greenhouse gases “causing” a warming earth is just lies, lies, and lies.

“If the standstill (lower temperatures) continues for a few more years,” wrote Dr. Whitehouse, “it will mean that no one who has just reached adulthood, or younger, will have witnessed the earth get warmer during their lifetime.”

Now here’s the kicker. The President of the United States, according to a recent Business Week article, “is preparing to tell all federal agencies for the first time that they should consider the impact on global warming before approving projects, from pipelines to highways.” The result “could be significant delays for natural gas export facilities, ports for coal sales to Asia, and even new forest roads, industry lobbyists say.”

“In taking the step,” said Business Week reporter Mark Drajem, “Obama would be fulfilling a vow to act alone in the face of a Republican-run House of Representatives unwilling to pass measures limiting greenhouse gases.”

The President, as usual, is lying through his teeth. There is no global warming or, as it is more frequently called these days, climate change unless you include a colder earth in that change.

The result will be four years of a second term in office during which Obama and his minions will do everything they can to slow what little is left of the U.S. economy, currently growing at a rate that requires a microscope to detect.

For the rest of us, the Mini Ice Age has arrived.
