British reporter Ben Ellery and photographers Steve Burton and John McLellan were investigating the recent explosion of violence at the largest migrant camp in France and the country’s largest slum: the Calais “jungle.” Little did they know they’d barely escape death by doing so. To avoid a missile projected at their car, they swerved and crashed into a truck. Their injuries included one’s head “gashed to the bone after it struck the steering wheel,” another suffered deep cuts to his face, and the third, survived a gash on his head and severe bruising on his back.......To Read More....
