A hearing by a U.S. House panel later this month could determine whether there is enough political will to impeach IRS Commissioner John Koskinen. The impeachment move was initiated earlier this year by House Freedom Caucus members, who remain angry the IRS illegally stonewalled and investigated conservative organizations seeking tax-exempt status.
Koskinen, 77, was appointed in 2013 to head the IRS amid congressional investigations. Even though he did not oversee the illegal harrasment, he has drawn the ire of Republicans investigating the matter. My Take - Another good reason to repeal the 16th Amendment and pass a national sales tax, with no exceptions. That way there won't be 47% or more of the population paying no federal income taxes and demanding "the rich" pay their fair share. Then everyone will have skin in the game.
