It is hardly news that some people are ardently
anti-vaccine (for NO good reason). And it is intuitively obvious that when
children don’t get vaccinated their risk for contracting a given infection is
higher.
But, thanks to a study published online in JAMA Pediatrics,
we now have an idea of how high the risk really is. And it is surprisingly
high.
A case-control study conducted by Jason Glanz, PhD, and
colleagues of Kaiser Permanente in Colorado examined the associations between
under vaccination and pertussis in children 3 to 36 months old, by analyzing
data from eight managed care organizations in the Vaccine Safety Datalink
between 2004 and 2010.
The study revealed that children, aged 3 to 36 months who
missed doses of the diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis (DTaP) vaccine
had an increased chance of getting pertussis (whooping cough), and that this increase
rose dramatically depending on how many of the recommended four doses were

My Take – I am completely baffled by this! Does everyone really believe these products were developed for no reason? This problem is two fold. One, we have gone so long without these afflictions impacting our children we have somehow come to believe its our right to have healthy children. Secondly, this is just one more example of just how badly misinformed the public is about almost everything by a corrupt media, corrupt 'scientists', misinformed activists and ego driven celebrities who belong in the Club For the Galactically Stupid!
Whether its pesticides or vaccinations the public has been made to believe these wonderful life saving products weren’t developed because there was an obvious ….and serious….need for them by society. Oh no! It just so manufactures could make money. Some rediculous celebrity goes on Oprah and tells the world these vaccination cause autism and the world listens. Do we really believe that because someone who can dance, sing or act is qualified to advise us on anything? Yesterday they were parking cars and pumping gas and today they're an authority on all social issues! Have we lost our minds?
What I wonder about is who is going to stand up and take the blame when children start dying from afflictions. Children who would have been saved by these vaccinations! What heartache will parents suffer who finally realize they were responsible for the unnecessary death of their child? If these ‘anti -vaccination' activists aren't prosecuted for murder they should at least be sued by these parents. Unfortunately….none of that will happen! Why? Because their intentions were good! Well, the environmental movement has been responsible for over 100 million unnecessary deaths over the last 75 years, and I keep wondering how many more deaths will it take before everyone begins to question their intentions. How many more will it take before their true intentions become obvious to the rest of the world!
