Euan McLelland,
Grey’s Anatomy actor Jesse Williams won a standing ovation at last night’s BET Awards after a rousing acceptance speech calling for black America to unite against a ‘system built to divide and impoverish’. The Black Lives Matter activist was declared humanitarian of the year at the annual prize-giving. But far from resting on his laurels, the former public school teacher used his moment in the spotlight to continue his work highlighting the continuing plight of black people in the United States.
My Take - Another firm candidate for the Club For The Galacticly Stupid, along with the audience too!
Once again - who impregnated all those black women and then abandoned them creating a 70 percent illigimacy rate in the black community? Who are killing blacks in America? Other blacks! Who are selling drugs to the black community? Other blacks! Why are black kids who do well in school villified as acting white? Why do black kids not go to school? Why do black kids perpetrate so much violence when they go to school? Why do they fail to finish school? Those are things that fall under the category of individual responsibility, and are fundamental for any society to be successful. Blacks choose not to act responsibly - so why is that the fault of white America?
So now tell me exactly what it is whites are doing to keep blacks down that could possibly be more detrimental than their own actions? If you really want to blame someone - blame the very people he's lauding because as leaders of their community they've failed to address the real issues destroying black America finding it easier - and profitable - to blame others for their failures.
